(Amara's POV)
(Song for this chapter? I can't decide by scissor sisters.)
Finally gaining a little bit of strength back, I sit up on my knees. There's gotta be a way to get it of here. Looking around my cell, my eyes land on a heavy stone. I'm not sure this will work, but it's worth a shot.
Reaching over, I grab the heavy rock. Turning to face the rusted metal bars, I lift the rock and slam it against the old, chipped metal. This isn't going to get me anywhere anytime soon.
Continuing to slam the rock down causes the guy, number three to enter the room my cell is in.
"You need to stop making all that noise." He hisses at me. "If you wake Erick-."
"I'm not scared of that trash." I growl back, hitting the pole again.
"Are you trying to escape?" He narrows his eyes.
I can't see the rest of his face but I'll assume he isn't happy.
"No." I lie, hitting the bars still.
"Yes you are, I'm watching you."
"Who has the key?" I stop and look over at him. "Do you?"
"No I don't." Number three shakes his head. "Number two does."
Speaking of the devil. The taller guy marches in with his arms crossed over his chest.
"What the hell is going on in here?" He snaps, looking at me.
"Do you have the key?" I raise a dark brow at him.
"Why?"
Pressing my face against the bars, I give him a flirty grin. "Can I get out, just for a minute?" I bat my long lashes.
"We're under strick orders to not let you out, unless it's in a body bag." The taller snickers before waking up to my cell. "I don't care how hot or perky you are, you can't trick m-."
Taking the rock in my hands, I slam it against his forehead, knocking him out almost instantly. Snatching the key from his pocket, I pull them in before number three can catch me.
"Give me the keys." He orders, holding out his hand.
"Listen to me and listen carefully." I speak slowly. "I have the key, someone very dangerous is on their way to come get me no doubt." I stare at his covered face. "You can help me escape and live when he gets here or." I lift the rock back up. "I can smash your skull in right now." I give him a blank expression as a few droplets of blood drip off the pointy rock.
"Nobody said anything about you being so violent." He stumbles forward, tripping over the knocked out man on the ground. "I like it." He laughs.
"You trap an animal, don't except it to be calm." I jingle the key on it's link.
"What about Erick?" He eyes me.
"He's mine." I smirk as I reach my arm out the bars and unlock the door. "Where's my rock?"
****************
(Noah's POV)
Dragging the old man's dead body along the quiet hall, blood leaves a trail behind me. I can tell my expression is pissed, must be why people are steering clear. Seeing me drag a body down the hall is usual, I do it alot. The cleaning guy doesn't appreciate it too much.
"Sir, we're going to have to have you come with us." Five men dressed in all black with masks sworm around me.
"Get the fuck out of my way." I huff. "I was hoping I'd only have to kill a select few." I shrug. "What's a few more?"
Throwing the dead body at three men in front of me, I kick one guy, forcing him to the ground. Quickly grabbing his gun, I spin around to find all the men back up from the floor.
"I don't want to have to use this." I growl. "I will though."
Testing me, the guy I kicked grabs my pant leg. Rolling my eyes, I point the barrel of the machine gun to the man and pull the trigger. Landing a few bullets in his chest and stomach.
Turning back, one lunges towards me. Repeating myself, I open fire, spraying bullets on the rest of the men.
"Really Veronica?" I snicker looking up at the camera. "You sent them? I hope you have better protection than that."
Pointing the gun upwards, I shoot out the camera.
"Alright, let's go." I say as I grab the old man's body. Dragging him once again, I continue on my way.
A few times, men dressed like the others try stopping me from getting to my boss. They didn't last, none of them ever do. Reaching her door, I kick it open, throwing the dead body on her desk.
"Noah, please calm down?" She begs, holding up her hands.
"Where is she? Where's Matt?" I near closer to her, forcing her into a corner.
"I don't know." She lies.
Anger flushing over me, I lunge forward, locking my hands on her throat.
"Where are they?" I yell.
"I don't know where your girlfriend is." She spits. "Matt's dead." Her hands wrap around my arms as she tries to break free.
"Dead? You had him killed?"
"Of course she did." An older man's voice booms as he cocks his gun. "Let go of her son."
Breathing heavily, I throw the woman to the ground and stand to face the old guy.
"What are you going to do? Shoot me?" I snort. "Go ahead old man, do it." I walk towards him, pressing my chest against his gun.
"You brought this on yourself." His hand starts to shake. "What you're doing with that woman is against the rules, for this purpose exactly."
"You're trying to kill an innocent person." My chest heaves up and down with anger. "You killed my best friend."
"But you knew these things would happen, didn't you?" He flattens his expression. "I understand why you're angry son, I understand all too well."
He's trying to talk me down so my boss can either sneak out or surprise attack me. Either way, it won't work.
"I fell in love with my target too, I was just like you." Pain shines behind his eyes.
"Oh yeah? What did you do?" I sneer.
"My boss made me kill her." He shrugs, all the pain gone. "That's my job, it's what I get paid to do."
Sickened by his honesty, I grab his wrist and twist it, aiming it at my boss.
"You move, she gets shot and your wrist gets snapped, then you get shot. So, tell me what I want to know. Or I'll do it the hard way and kill you both."
"I told you, I don't know where your girlfriend is." Veronica holds her hand up.
"Isn't that a shame?" I cock my head to the side.
"Noa-."
Pulling the trigger, I watch her body fly against the wall.
"Alright old man, your turn." Snapping his wrist, I flip it back to aim the gun at him. "Should of told me where my girlfriend was."
