"Oh, I see? Did a cat cut your tongue all of a sudden?"Jada asked with another pop of the annoying gum habit. Ariana didn't know Jada chewed gum. It had always been Jada who educated people on how she hated the sound of loud gum chewing and she was the one showing that same habit. 

"I don't have any man." Arian swallowed tightly not caring to show the side of her that she wasn't enjoying Jada's presence right now.  Her doubts were finally cleared when she realized one thing about Jada. The weird feeling she got of someone stalking her was true. Jada never ever cared to come to the library to study.

"Oh, beans." Jada threw a hand over Ariana's shoulder. They were both once in the middle of the library. Jada pushed Ariana away from the middle to a small corner to the left. This seemed like an important talk and Jada shifting Ariana in the corner, proved it.

"Don't lie to me honeypie. I've heard the rumors about you and Adrian together."

"N-no. That's not true. He's with Malbe and-"

"For fuck sake!" Jada cried out in agony. "He broke up with the hag yesterday. Girl, you should listen to rumors sometimes." Jada tsked. 

Ariana who covered her ears refused to listen to what Jada was saying. She didn't want anything to do with Adrian. Factly, she was never part of Adrian's life so nothing of his concerned her. She quickly spun around ignoring Jada's mocking fingers and plopped herself on one of the library chairs. 

The ringing of the bell informed Ariana that someone had gone out or come into the building or outside the building. She hoped it was Jada. Someone who was once her friend.

If her memory didn't fail her, she remembered Chloe telling her about Jada and Jessica. A lot had changed in just a short while. 

She shifted the large topic off her shoulder and continued on her aim. Exams were fast approaching and she just had to ace it. A goal for all learning students, she thought.

"That was Insane? Tell me. Sure, you guys didn't do anything yet?" Chloe asked with teasing brows watching me. I seriously didn't know how the topic from grades wishes changed to Adrian. I wasn't even interested in him anymore. Well, that's what my mind thinks.

"I need another coffee," I announced wanting this topic far far away from me. It's like everywhere I go, it's either Adrian or Malbe. They both have been on my mind lately and that bothered me so much.

"Your cup is literally still full, Ari and I'm still waiting for my answers. Have you guys.." She brought her middle finger to my face and made a small hole with her other hand. "Yet?"

Huh?

"What's that?" I asked with a dumb expression. She only sighed and winged her hands. "Forget it. I shouldn't be the one to break your innocence." 

"Hey girls." My mom came in. Yeah! I forget she came with us. Momma's been free lately and the fun part was that she was ready to spend all her day with me today. She said she won't have a single thing to do all through her vacation.

"Good afternoon, bestie." Chloe chirped in smiling at my momma. 

Oh, no. I'm not going to have that look. 

Hold up. Lemme explain. 

That innocent face you think you see, is covered up with mischief. Chloe, let's say, have a thing with parents. She was really good at getting anything from parents. That includes money, shoes, tickets and I mean ANYTHING. She once played momma into giving her 200 dollars and in the end, she used everything between 5 minutes. 

Plus, I getting low-key jelly when she's close with my momma and Chloe knew just that. 

"Hey, Chloe. You look stunning today." Momma complimented dropping her car keys on the table along with her caramel coffee. Caramel was really my mom's vibe. Literally.

"Thank you, ma'am. You were the one who actually bought this for me last new year's eve." Told Chloe. 

Lies.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot." 

"It's nothing. I have a lot of things from you and that reminds me,"

Oh, no. 

"Can I-"

"Mommy?" I quickly interfered not wanting to hear another order from Chloe. She was selfish at times. Especially when it came to money and free things.

"Yes, dear." Momma turned from Chloe and her attention was back on me. On the left side of my eyes, I was able to meet with Chloe who smirked knowing what I was trying to do.

Chipmunk.

"I need water." I blurted out with a small smile. She cocked her head before getting up and leaving, perhaps, to get me water. 

"What were you doing, Chloe? I asked taking a small sip of my melted coffee. I hated when it fermented but I couldn't throw it away. It was going to be a waste of money.

 She scoffed. "I was trying to get my free ticket she said she was gonna give last month, girly. How can you expect me to forget that?" She asked with wide eyes opened. 

I rolled my eyes."You're selfish at times you know?" I straightforwardly asked in which she grinned.

"Surprise me."

A bottle of water was placed in front of me. I didn't need the water whereas, I needed my mom out of sight to have a talk with Chloe.

"Tha-"

"And the tea just got hotter." Chloe whistled. 

"We need to fucking talk!!"
