28||Thoughts||

A little whimper fled my lips as those words left his mouth. I didn't know what to ask or say so I sat there, tranquil.

"Just leave." He ordered. I shook my head theoretically, not fully agreeing with him at all. I wanted to know what was bugging him. I wanted to know the causes of his anger. I needed to know. All about him.

"No," I said, audibly. My lips shivered a little with a pout at my erroneous answer. I didn't know what came over me to have that fearless confidence but I was soon to regret it.

"What did you say?" His voice was deep and sullen and balanced like the noise of the thunder and storm. Every word he spoke, reeled me to the core scoring a shiver from me. I wasn't supposed to be so helpless but I can't help it. Just like I'd said, he was my predator and I was his prey.

"I said I'm not going nowhere. I'm going to stay here and you're gonna tell me what's bothering you either you like it or not." I stumped my foot to the chilly ground, a small quake gained from the small act. I was behaving like a child now but I didn't care or mind. I was done with his madness.

He gritted his teeth as a lion does to his prey and furiously matched forward to me and yanked me by my arm, very tortuously.

"Listen to me, little girl." His voice held with authority and at once I submitted to him, trying to yank my arm away from him. "You don't dare fuck with me or disobey me. Whatever I tell you, that's what you're going to do and right now, I want you to fucking leave." He told.

I couldn't even blink due to the lewd warm honey eyes that gawked at me and told his threat. I wince a little, his hold growing tighter by the second. His lips twerk up to a smirk, another dangerous thought in his unsafe mind.

"What's wrong now? You were talking and showing your shitty braveness just a few minutes ago. Why not now? Cat got your tongue?" He closed the small vicinity that was just left, my breath ragged and heavy. He was too close, close enough for me to take in his calming cologne. I hated that he can make me feel this way. Why? My legs were jelly just from standing this close.

"Speak." He ordered, his voice heated and fanned against my cheek. I reddened, even more, squirming on my spot. I was speechless to say. All this was enough for me.

"I-I." I shuttered lost for words. His smirk increased and I pouted, feeling like I lost and In which I did.

"I won't repeat it. Leave now." He told, calmly retracting from the position we were in. I inhaled and exhaled softly, trying to catch my breath. Why does he get me feeling weird?

I caught my bag my its strap and threw it around my shoulder, pressing it tightly to my skin. I turned around ready to leave when our bodies came in contact with each other. I gasped a little, holding myself balanced.

"Watch where you go doll face!"He warned, his eyes glowing below the dark grey cloud that shone directly on his beautiful eyes. I gulped, feeling my tummy rumbled inside. I nodded and left, a close call called.

I emit my deep difficult breathing once I got outside. I stooped, panting for air that I didn't know when it came. After gathering myself together, I moved on, walking to the cafeteria for it was lunchtime.

"Hey." Jules waved at me gesturing for me to come towards her table. I shrugged my shoulders down, a little eased to see people I was familiar with.

"Hey." I greeted placing my bag on my lap and sitting down. Jules already got my food with and now I was waiting for Chloe.

"Do you know where Chloe is?" I asked, taking a bite from my chips. She shook her head, her lips curled up in a frown.

"Not at all. But I saw her with this girl, that looks so hot. I think her name was Jessica, right?" She asked in thoughts. My eyes wandered looking for Lin anywhere I could find him after the miserable incident that happened at the back of the school. He too wasn't to be found.

"I'll be right back." I excused myself, glaring perilously at Chloe warning her not to take my chips at all. I exited the cafeteria, my phone in my right hand as I start walking to my locker. Chloe's locker was a little closer to mine so I figured she might be there. As I got a little closer, I passed by the girl's restroom. My mouth widened at the glimpse I caught.

In there were Jessica and Chloe...kissing.

I closed my mouth inarticulated and agitated. I knew they were both gay but I didn't expect them to be this close or together, kissing. I skinned my eyes away, spinning back to the cafeteria. Just as I was about to enter, I met Lin.

"I've been looking all over for you, jellybean." He kidded. I rolled my eyes and came closer, my bracelet wiggling.

"Why did you choose me?" I asked with a small frown.

"What do you mean? You were perfect for the job and besides, you were the only one I could think of."

"Jada, Chloe, Jake,-"

"Fine. I choose you and that's it. Don't ask me further questions. Come on! Let's go!" He pulled me away before I had the time to talk as we entered the cafeteria. The scent of cheese, burger and sandwich filled the air making my tummy jump. I was a fan of burgers when I was a kid but my taste of food changed when I turned 5.

"Fucking move!!" A cold hand was thrust against my skin, my eyes melting instantly at the touch. I stared back at Jake who was holding my hands in his, gazing at Lin.

"Why the fuck are you holding her!?" He asked, his hands pressing further and deeper into mine receiving a whimper from me.

"Watch your mouth, dude! She's just a fucking friend!" Lin hurled back, a small taste of bitterness in his voice. My skin shivered against the small jacket that covered my body. The trees outside were swinging here and there from the wind that had it moving.

I didn't feel safe at all in Jake's hands. Considering he is my best friend's brother, that made it a lot of reasons to be afraid of Jake. I've heard thousands of rumours about him and none of them were pleasant to hear at all.

One of them was him raping a girl or assaulting her. Nonetheless, the fact remains the same. He had a dark, scary aura that shook me to the nucleus.

I tried shaking my wrist trying to get free but his told only got tighter. I looked at Chloe, but sadly, her eyes were not on me but on Jessica and Chloe. She was facing forwards and didn't even know what was going on at the back of her.

I never knew Jake and Lin were enemies from day one but I guess that changed last week's Tuesday. They both got into a fight and were brought to the principal's office for detention and punishments. But that didn't stop the hatred that they both shared.

"Friend? Friends don't hold hands like that you did! Friends aren't that close. Too close! Frien-"

"If you're asking for a death sentence, I can gladly give you one. Get your fucking hands off her or you'll be begging in the next 3 seconds." A piercing scream escaped Jake's mouth as he fell to the floor and began whimpering. I looked back to the dangerous, threatening voice that spoke.

"What the fu-ck!" Jake cursed, standing back to his feet. He had a large hand-marked on his face, handprints visible.

"You heard me. I hate repeating myself. I never ever want to see your fifty hands on her and if I do, you won't have your d**k to fuck anymore." Adrian spat cursing me to blush from the word he chooses. Jake glared.

Hard at me.

I wasn't use to all this and his stare made me uncomfortable. I wanted to hide or run away but I remembered this wasn't a movie that all that happens. I looked down, playing with my bracelet.

"Follow." What was only the word Adrian said going out of the cafeteria while I followed I was speechless and confused on why I was following him and where. For a murderer like him, I mustn't trust him. The small walk continued, not a single word said. We stayed silent while we just walked.

He suddenly came to a halt and I stopped, confused.

"You're crazy, dollface." He spoke brushing his hair away from his face. I blushed a little trying to hide my face.

"W-what do y-you mean?" I asked, still blushing. His eyes were glowing once again under the storm that you could confuse them like a bar of gold. I was simply mesmerized by his eyes and envy surfaced on why I didn't have his colour of eyes.

He grunted his teeth, his large wrist fisted. "I want you to stay away from Chloe and Jake. They aren't good." He said, easily.

I opened my eyes and mouth shocked. He wanted me to stay away from Chloe? Jake, I can but Chloe? I can't. She's my best friend and doesn't expect me to stay away from her.

"I can-t!" I half yelled.

His face turned paled and from the soft expression he had, his face turned stony and hard. I was afraid that I almost peeled myself just at the sight of his facial expression. He looked emotionless, paled and cold. Just like before. His teeth gritted and fists tight that I thought he was about to hit me. I didn't want to get on the bad side especially from what I saw today at the back of the school's building.

"Repeat what you fucking said!" His voice echoed, making me whimpered stepping backward. His eyes were cold and scary, almost creepy with the sound of his voice.

"I can-t s-stay away from c-chloe." I shuttered frankly. He groaned, running his hands through his hair.

"You will and that's final!" He yelled and left, leaving the atmosphere tensed. I winced a little from the small pain that settled down below my abdomen.

What's wrong with staying friends with Chloe?

A/n

I know it's been a while since I posted but this is what I've written so far and I've been busy with a lot of school work and preparing for exams. I'm so sorry for the delay but I need more time to settle things here between personal life and Wattpad life...hehe.

Question of the day

Do you know the reason for the small threat that Adrian gave? And Chloe? What do you think is behind the close buddy face she pulls?

I FREAKING love this chapter! Thank you so much for reading. Hope you enjoy it. The next chapter will be longer but I won't post early. I'm sorry, once again. Please check out some of my other books and don't forget to share!
