N a r r a t o r ' s P~O~V

"All done," Lin said leaning back on the sofa. He automatically drew his hands in tiredness and boredom.

"That's good," Ariana murmured looking at Jules and Adrian worked. Jules kept laughing at something Adrian said. Adrian on the other hand just keeps writing paying no attention to the laughing gas girl behind me. 

The small girl couldn't help but feel somewhat down and sad about see them so close together. She knew it was wrong to feel this kind of way towards someone she didn't know much of and someone who despises her but she couldn't control her spilling emotions. She also couldn't get rid of the fact that Jules was prettier than her and had a good body most as many girls would envy. The small sign coming from Jules that she had a crush on Adrian was also visible. They also looked together. 

"Are you okay?" Lin asked her touching her shoulder softly in a rigorous way like touching her would even break her bones.

"Yes, I'm just tired."She lied looking away trying to hide the visible tear that had already dirtied her bright puffy squishy cheeks.

"If you say so. You might want to come with me for what I'm about to show you." The smart brown-headed boy said looking at the girl with a provoking look. 

She immediately screeched drawing Adrian's attention. "I'm sorry." She said looking downwards shyly fiddling with her fingers.  With the help of Lin, she was able to get up from her cold feet. She wriggled her feet looking at Lin.

"Cold." She said twirling her feet as she got on the couch while Lin went to get her comfy socks. From the corner of the room, Adrian was secretly eying them as rage took over him.

"And where the fuck are guys going to!?" He hissed also getting Jules's attention. They both turned to look at Lin who was helping the little girl wear her socks.

What a fucking sight!

"We're going to chill while watching movies as you can see, we're done with our project and her feet were chilling so I was helping her with her baby feet," Lin told peeping down at Ariana.

"And what's wrong with her hands?" I asked maliciously. Ariana wiggled her already warm feet tittering at the pictures posted on the socks before interlocking her hands with Lin chuckling at Lin's tattoo. 

"There's a small mouse on your wrist." She said staring at Lin's wrist. I collided with my fist that was my side as I watch them. 

"A cute mouse you say. Come on, let's go." Lin chuckled as they both swung their hands and exited my room.

"They look cute together don't you think?" Jules said chuckling as she scrabbled down something on her paper. I scoffed and returned to my work.

What are they doing together? Is Lin trying to take advantage of her? Is she happy? Did she fall?

I shook my head at my thoughts. I wasn't supposed to be feeling this way towards her. She was nothing to me. Just some childish girl who acts naive. 

Stupid thoughts. 

"I need a break," I muttered quickly backing away and loping downstairs.

"Thank you," I said putting the cup in the sink and embracing Lin into a hug. Lin was very kind and sweet. He offered to let me have a taste of one of his favourite chocolate wafers but I didn't want to be in my 'comfort zone' so I declined. He then went ahead to tickle me (He likes tickling a lot) on my tummy and I had no choice but to accept.

The chill room was less cold than Adrian's room and had a simple, welcoming feeling that I liked. I also liked the soft cute fuzzy materials on my feet.

My phone binged signalling me that It was from my mommy. I gently brought out my phone to see what it was all about.

Baby? You done? 

Yes, I was just talking to Lin about my project. He gave me chocolate wafers.

Awww3> That's cute. I think this guy must be nice.

Yes, he is. He's sweet and gave me a cute fuzzy sock because the room was cold.

I smiled looking down at the socks.

Do you want to stay longer? I can come to pick you up if you're done talking and playing around.

I squealed at what she sent. She was finally going to allow me to stay here longer 'with boys' I looked at Lin who was trying to sing the Brown Skin girl song.

Yes, please. That would be nice.

Okay. After you're done, text me the address and I'll come pick you up. Also, tell him if this 'Lin' does anything wrong. I can't wait to kick some flat ass:)

"What made you smile like that? If it's not my wafers then someone is saying their last breath." Lin said drying his hands on the kitchen napkin.

"Guess what?"

"What?"

"My momma allowed me to stay here until we're done talking and playing around. That means we could play games and watch cute movies." I said breathlessly.

"That's great girlfriend! We could also do our nails and oh! Talk about boys and makeup!" Lin said trying to act all girly but it came out not as expected because he looked more masculine. I giggled watching him.

Just then, Adrian and Jules jogged downstairs. They looked like they were done with their project. I'm glad we can finally have some fun.

"We're done!!" Jules sing sang pulling me for a hug. I chuckled and hugged her back twisting on my spot. 

N a r r a t o r ' s P~O~V

The quartet gathered in the chill room with some friends that were called over by Lin. A few of them were from college and the rest were some childhood buddies.

"Who's that pretty little doll over there?" A guy asked Adrian. He had a deep British accent that seemed to roll off his tongue placidly when he talked. He was from Adrian's school too.

This only seems to provoke Adrian. "Watch your mouth little boy. We both don't want your mouth broken." He threatened terminally as he glances back at Ariana who seems to be having fun with some girls at the corner. They were doing each other's nails. Well, apart from Ariana because her mother wouldn't let her.

"Oh my gosh! I never thought I was ever going to step my foot on the handsome prick's mansion until I actually did." Jada laughed eyeing Adrian from afar. 

"Same here. I find it really impossible but tell me, were you just alone with Adriana before we all got here?" A brunette asked the small perplexed girl. 

"N-no. I was here with Jules and Lin." She answered defending herself. She didn't fully understand why people kept asking her what was up with her and Adrian. She couldn't help with the rumours that were brazenly flying around.

They all continued doing their regular things until 3:00 PM at noon. 

Everyone was ready to get going. Arian felt she had spent enough time here in Adrian's house. She was quite grateful too.

"I need to go," Ariana whispered to Lin from the counter. He nodded and brought her upstairs so she could pack her studying materials and give him back his personal belonging. 

"Thank you for everything today and your sweet chocolate wafers." She thanked him gracefully. He flipped his invisible hair. "I know. Mama always told me I had good skills in baking." 

They left the room going downstairs. By then, Jules and Jada had already left.

"Comming bro. I need to drop her at her house." Lin informed. 

"Save yourself the trouble. I'll drop her." Adrian said dryly getting the car keys from Lin who only smirked and abdicated. 

"T-thank you too." The little girl said once they were inside the car. She already texted her mom that her 'friend' was going to drop her.

"For what exactly?" He asked her in amusement. 

"For everything you've done from the start of the coffee shop until now." She said emotionally. He ignored her until then when they both arrived at her house.

"See you tomorrow." She muttered and did what shocked both of them.

She pecked the devil's cheek.

THAT WAS AMAZING!

I'm super impressed with what I've created so far in the chapter. The characters are quite cool and I just some much love my work. (Being an author)

But I can't help but feel that Ariana is feeling butterflies already. Too bad because Adr-
