Esmeralda's Pov

"Damn."
The alarm,
"But what time is it ?!"  I got up and turned off the alarm.
"I'm late, 7:49 am ?! How long have I slept ?!"
I jumped out of bed, dressed quickly and went downstairs, greeted the maid "Good morning."
"Good morning Miss Owntwo."
"Um .. see you later."
I grabbed an apple and a bottle of sparkling water, I decided to eat the apple on the way home to school as I was late.
I walked quickly to the bus stop, praying not to lose it.
I saw many teenagers arrive with satchels who got on my own bus, I paid the ticket alive the poverty I thought, I sat in the first seats, there were many people behind and I preferred to be quiet in my corner in peace.
I saw a tall boy, brown eyes and hair with black glasses, with a briefcase and a book in his hand, he was so intent on reading that he didn't even notice the noise in the places behind, let alone my presence.
I decided to sit next to him and like a good innocent child I couldn't help but make a fool of myself.
I tried to open the bottle of sparkling water that on the way home-bus stop I shaken it unconsciously and when I opened it the cap jumped off and half of the water that contained the bottle came out, wetting both me and the boy next to me "Oh  uhm .. sorry .. "I whispered embarrassed
"Oh, don't worry baby," she said
I blushed at his words for the way he had called me, I tried to compose myself and grabbed a packet of handkerchiefs from my backpack, I tried to dry the boy's legs and in doing so I touched a central part of the crotch of my pants "Oh uhm ...  I'm sorry, "I said, flushed with embarrassment and realized it was all as useless as my existence.
I tried to imagine how the first day of school would go ...
About ten minutes passed and the bus stopped a few meters after school, a couple of boys got off and the boy next to me got off.
I grabbed my mobile phone, my backpack and got out, I saw the boy go in the same direction as me, as soon as I saw him enter the school I thanked all the saints and begged all the gods in the world not to see that poor boy again, the bell rang and I entered  class.

"Welcome."  said a tall, dark-haired woman with two large emerald green eyes.
"I am professor Rioko, history teacher, Italian ..."
He started talking about himself and in all this my stomach started to grumble and there I remembered.  "The Apple!"  I yelled.
Everyone burst out laughing, others started staring at me strangely.
"Silence, please."
I heard everyone go quiet after the filming of Professor Rioko, I remembered the apple that I should have eaten on the bus during the journey, but then bad luck decided to make me look foolish and sprinkle water on an unknown boy.

Professor Rioko placed a huge book full of dust on the desk, opened it and said
"Well guys, now I will explain the rules of this institute, to start with, you don't leave the classroom during the time change, you don't use your mobile phone during the lessons, you don't ..."
I heard some guys exclaim a moan, it was so funny that I could not help but giggle, only to be scolded by the teacher, it looks like a fantastic year.
After hours of explanations on what to do and not the teacher left the classroom.

"Guys, I'll go out for a moment, I'll be right back."  Rioko said
Meanwhile I saw a short, dark-haired girl with short hair and brown eyes approach me.
"Hi, I'm Nora."
"Pleasure Esmeralda."
We started talking and a boy joined us.
"Nice to meet Gabriel."
We began to converse and at the sound of the bell I went out but was stopped.
"Hi, nice to meet you."
I turned and saw a girl
"Pleasure Esmeralda."
"Pleased to meet you, I'm Madalina, the student council president of this school."  smiled
How pretty

The hour passed and the interval rang
"Long last."  I whispered to myself.  I went out to get some fresh air and something from the machines.
"Hi Eme!"
I heard a voice scream my name, I turned and saw a tall girl, short dark blonde hair and two big metallic green eyes with blue undertones next to her iris, she had a flawless school uniform, perfectly in order with a long white sweatshirt tied in  life.
"Hi."
"Sorry for bumping into you."  I said embarrassed.
"Does nothing."
"Are you Esmeralda Owntwo?"
"Um ... Yes?"  I answered in a rather indecisive tone.
"Uh, Andrea told me a lot about you."
"Andrea who?"
"Andrea Xhani."
"But wait."  I stopped.
"Who are you?"  I asked.
"Beatrix, I'm in the first year."
"Would you like to have lunch together?"
"Of course ..." I replied

The end of the interval rang, greeted Beatrix and went back to class.
"See you after Bea."
"See you later Eme!"
I went back to class.
"God, I hope I'm not late!"  I cursed.
"Ouch!"
Mh?
I looked up.
"Be a little more careful girl!"
I heard a very familiar man's voice.
"I'm sorry."  I looked up.
"But you are..."
"Yes, I am alive by a miracle."  he said jokingly.
"Goodbye, and be more careful next time."  he said walking away along the end of the corridor.
But it's him ... The boy on the bus ...
I lost twenty minutes watching him walk away along the end of the corridor only to realize that I am even more late than the chronic latecomers.
"Uff ..." I snorted and ran into the classroom.

"Owntwo, he's late!"  Rioko,
Yes, but take some pain relievers, a chamomile tea and breathe ...
"I'm sorry Professor but ... I was lost ..." I lied
I went back to the seat embarrassed. I had everyone's eyes on me, I just wanted to sink.
"Sit down, stay calm and pay attention."
"Sure."
I started to sit down.
Rioko got up, grabbed a history book from his briefcase and started explaining hominids, prehistory etc ... Great ...
The lesson ended quickly.

"Well guys, for next week study chapter one and two."
Rioko exclaimed.
Complaints and various bored looks followed.
It was all so funny.

...

I came back home.
I felt tired and broken but at the same time happy.

18:50 PM

"Um ..."
I'm hungry
I made a salad, a sandwich and a hot tea, said goodbye to the maid, said goodnight to mum and dad, went to get some clean pajamas, a bathrobe and took a hot shower

I left the bathroom, dried my hair, put on my pajamas, grabbed the book -After- and threw myself on the bed.
