As we ran to the control centre, I felt my fear growing. Finn and Poe were behind me. Alyssa went to her room to sleep. I had to know the truth. I had to find answers.

"What are you doing here Captain Solo?" Commander Lynx asked as I stormed inside. Nobody looked at me as I went straight to mom.

"We need to attack Starkiller base." I snapped whipping around when a familiar face that I didn't quite recognize stood behind me. Zach. Zachary Dameron. My lifelong crush.

"Captain Dameron please lead Kiara back to her quarters. She has had a long day." Mother said not even bothering to look at me. "Mother no." I said as Zach grabbed my arm. I let out a vicious growl. "Get back." I said sticking my hand out and I felt power erupting from my hand. Zach slammed into the wall.

Poe chased his brother and I turned to my mother. "I'm done being isolated. I'm done hiding." I said and turned to the control base. "We're going to Starkiller. All those in stay everyone else leave." I said finally taking charge. Dad sat in the corner.

He was silent as always. Always letting mom lead unless it meant that his daughter was in danger. It's not that he ever was around anyways. I didn't expect him to stay.

I ran out before mom could catch me when I heard screams in my head. "Kiara Padme Rose Solo, when did you discover your powers?" Dad asked, I paused.

"Three days ago. I saw him and mom told me so you don't have to treat me like a baby anymore. You were never around anyways so how do you know me." I snapped finally able to let out my anger.
