Y/N Pov

Four black shadows and one white, which was slowing turning black...

Being curious, I slowly walked forward, towards them while wiping the tried tears from my eyes. I brushed my hair backwards and froze.

There she was. Beside the shadows. They pushed her down onto the floor violently. I could hear everything from where I was.

"We took your soul for a reason!"
"One way to break that vampire's heart"
"SHE'S NOT A VAMPIRE!"
"Try again"

Then I felt a force around my whole body. I knew that I have been caught.

I casually walked forward, taking in a deep breath. Seulgi...
She screamed for help, but also screamed to give me freedom.

One of the shadows grabbed my wrist like I'm shackled up tightly. I followed my eyes down my arm slowly then to Seulgi. The shadow tightened it harder and harder, but then the others moved to Seulgi. They picked her up and pushed her against a invisible wall. They grabbed her neck as she yelled for mercy.

"Let her go" I coldly said to them. I had to keep strong even if I was melting inside. "Let her go before it comes"
"What comes?" They all laughed at me as the one holding me pushed me down to the floor beside Seulgi who was still held, trying to get her breath. "Your vampire boyfriend and his friends?" They laughed even harder.

"It's not my fault that their protective and then there's you lot working for a monster which is using you. He doesn't like you, he just wants little servants to do his work." By now, I had burst. I stood up and pulled them of Seulgi. I held her hand in mine and closed my eyes.

"I can image you all when you weren't shadows..." I don't even know how I saw it. I don't even know why I said it. But I knew this must be some sort of power I unlocked. "You worked as... wait.. yo-"

I opened my eyes again and I saw them on the floor.

"What was that force?" Jennie asked terrified.
"What do you mean?" I asked back but then closed my eyes again. I felt my gum feel numb as my fangs slowly grew out and my eyes burnt, making them red.
"You mean this?" I lifted my hand up and they levitated. I threw my arm as they banged against the invisible walls.

"Y/N..." Seulgi shook my arm and I looked at her. "It's my soul..." She pointed up and it was floating above her, fading. "They told me if that fades, I'll be one of them. Please don't let that happen"

So that's why she died... she died because so didn't have her soul with her.

"What was that letter you told me about?"

"True Love will bring a soul to the heart.
The heart will beat.
But this only happens with blood of a gatekeeper
Trust will save the whole"

I looked at the shadows as they were all vulnerable on the ground.

"Give up, love is stronger" I giggled at them as I closed my eyes.

"Jungkook... Jungkook" I repeated in my head hoping that these powers come to use. I could feel it happening... while closing my eyes, a portal opened. A dark red one which I saw light up. I opened up my eyes and felt a presence against me. My heart stopped as I blushed, feeling a hand on my shoulder from the one and only Jeon Jungkook.

"Seulgi!" I turned to see Jimin kneel down to her with his eyes wide open in fear.
"So what's this and what are they doing there?" Jungkook asked.

I rolled my eyes as they got darker and darker. It was almost a black like a demons. I felt so much power.

I looked up to see Seulgi's soul slowly fall down to her body. Then, I turned to the shadows. Breathe, breathe slowing...

Walking towards them, I saw them groaning in pain.

"Look, I never wanted to hurt anyone and now, I feel bad since I know who you are. I would have never expected this. I actually wouldn't have expected to have seen you in this form since I'm so used to seeing you, Jennie, in human. Just trust me when I tell you that you are something just like me..."

It was back when I saw their past with the new power I unlocked. I could replay the memory in my head although it's quite hard to remember since I felt something holding me from thinking about it.

"I can image you when you weren't shadows..." A warm void pushed me in as I looked around with moments playing.
There was me, I looked so different. I had pure white hair with rainbow strands of colour and so did everyone around me, well only 10.
It was hard to recognise everyone until something caught my eye. There they were, the shadows. They had badges on them to say who's who. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. They all looked so innocent.

That's when it clicked, are they also Gate Keepers?

A girl who looked older then me ran towards my younger self with some dangerous animals.

"There's an attack coming! Send the alarms and tell the royals!" Her eyes turned a deep red, almost to black.

I ran to the the alarm system and lots of screams from the inside are heard as everyone starts to panic.

"Oh no..." My past turned to her confused.
"What?"
"The attack, you aren't old enough to live though this, if you stay, your soul will disappear forever." She said to me while dragging me to the group of girls.
"But I heard that travelling to Earth, demons awaken and if lucky will take your soul since that's the only way to take it out of us!" Her eyes were already tearing.
"Please Y/N! Trust will bring them back! And you may visit here once you start to remember HybridVerse. You are a GateKeeper! But..." she stopped for a second and sighed. "When you do come back, you won't remember the people you meet on Earth, it will feel like you never went there but also that there wasn't a war. It would feel like a dream. This only happens to us GateKeeper's unless you come with someone who will bring your memories. A kiss will help." She winked after the last sentence and a small giggle.

"Will I ever see you again?" I ask before it's too late.
"I don't know, just tell Jungkook I loved him and I'm staying because I have to protect the land!"

That was when I faded and landed on the cold floor of Earth, completely confused and alone. The only thing I think is that I knocked my head hardly and forgot my past on Earth....

I came back to the present, only noticing that I was crying heavily. Turning around, I block out everyone and I stare at Jungkook in the eye.

"Y-Your sister... she w-wanted to t-tell you she l-loved you but she h-had to p-protect the land..." My view started to fade but I saw him running to me.
"My sister? W-what do you know?" He shook me as I started to faint.
"I worked with h-her as a GateKeeper with them..." I slowly pointed to the girls. "I didn't k-know about my p-past because there was a spell to make us forget... you girls... were u-unlucky..." I turned to them but they were filled with confusion. "The d-demon got you in the portal and you lost your s-soul, trust with bring it b-back..." That was when I blacked out, but instead, my body shivered as the temperature around me changed into a cold sensation.
