The cabin wasn't big. But it was just perfect for the two of them. 

After some dusting (a lot of dusting) the cabin was clean enough and they could finally get some sleep. The electricity wasn't working and it was slowly getting darker so there wasn't much more they could do. The store didn't have any candles just matches that weren't really helpful unless they wanted to start a fire. 

The bathroom was in a surprisingly fine condition and was usable so that was a plus. The bedroom wasn't. The mattress was awful and it stank. The bed looked like it would break any moment, and it did the second Jungkook sat on it.

They shared a laugh and opted for the bigger and more comfortable couch instead.

It was covered with plastic and thus clean along with all the pillows.

They hadn't brought much stuff but Taehyung managed to take two blankets and they were ready to rest as soon as the moonlight became the only source of light.

Both cuddled up on the couch, but neither could sleep.

"Pst! Tae, are you awake?"

"Yes, Kook."

"I can't sleep."

"Same."

"You think this will work?" Jungkook couldn't keep the worry out of his voice.

"Jungkook, of course it will. It's me and you. I think this is perfect. No one can find us here, no one will even look for us. Money is not a problem for now and if we stack up enough food we can definitely stay here for about a week before needing to go anywhere."

"We should do that."

"Huh?"

Jungkook sat up on the couch. "I mean we are gonna need the money in the future. But we have a lot right now and as long we don't spend it too carelessly we don't have anything to worry about. Like, it's our vacation. No one to bother us, nothing to do, just us two having fun!"

"Taehyung & Jungkook's personal bon voyage."

"Yes," Jungkook giggled.

"Sounds great."

"We should probably go get more food after we wake up and then we can put the world away. A-and stay here for a week as you said."

"Taekook, alone in the woods, back in the middle ages, with no internet or technology," Taehyung commented in a playful voice.

"We don't need phones anyway," Jungkook interfered.

"Perfect getaway, but could there be a monster hiding in the woods," Taehyug continued unbothered, lowering his voice on purpose.

"Yah, cut it out."

"Deep in the darkness, hidden by shadows, looking for its prey..."

"Taehyung!" Jungkook hit him with a pillow.

"Hey, I was just joking."

"Don't!" Jungkook cried out. "It really is scary here, especially with no light. What if something really is out there."

"Ahh, don't worry Kookie I'll protect you," Taehyung smiled and laid his head on Jungkook's chest pulling him back into a hug.

"If we're getting killed, I'm sacrificing you first," mumbled Jungkook, hugging his friend close but not actually meaning those words.

Taehyung just chuckled in response and soon they both fell asleep.
Unaware of the real monsters (and the one that was special) that were really out in the dark of the night.
