Danger In Love: Shot
((Hello again guys, I know two chapters in one day is weird. But I cannot wait to share this chapter with you! So here it goes!)))
Mark watches his boss, a boss he much trusted, now aim a gun at him, dumbfounded.
"Sir... what are y-"
Mark begins but is cut off by Jack placing a hand on his shoulder and speaking quietly.
"Mark... he's the boss of Hell's angels...."
Jack says quietly, he himself confused. This man, Mark claimed was his boss, however Jack knew he ran the drug cartel Mark had been after for so long, the one he used to work for.
"Ah yes, hello again Sean...."
The man growls quietly shooting a glare at Jack who seemed to slighlty cower behind Mark.
"But... You told me to take down this cartel.... Why would you do that if you were running it..."
Mark asks, thoughts rocketing through his brain, but not thinking to pull out his own gun and try to fire first. The boss chuckles darkly, his eyes looking at Mark with a slight amusement.
"It's the biggest Cartel around here Mark, it would get very suspicious if we didn't even try to stop it. But unfortunetely, you swayed Sean onto your side... He was suposed to keep you off our trail, but he failed us."
He says shooting a glance once more at the green haired Irishman before focusing his attention back on the red haired agent.
"He didn't fail... He did what was right."
Mark spats at the man, standing protectively in front of the smaller Irish man. His boss simply shrugs, his finger pressing the trigger ever so slightly.
"Say what you want, either way your time has come."
With that the man presses the trigger. Right before the bullet reaches them, Mark tackles Jack to the ground. Jack lands with a grunt, landing on his wrist and feeling as though he had sprained it. The bullet had grazed Mark, as was evident by the slight blood soaking through the arm of his shirt. Both Men duck down behind a desk.
"Are you alright."
Mark asks quietly looking over to the green haired man. Jack nods, moving his wrist slighlty and wincing at the pain.
"Fine, how about you."
Jack asks looking at the bit of blood on Marks forearm.
"Fine, Its not bad."
Jack smiles slightly knowing he's ok, but his smile drops as the boss speaks once again.
"Come on Mark, you're simply prolonging the inevitable."
He says with almost a laugh to his voice. His footsteps are heard as he walks forward a bit.
Mark, finally shaking himself out of the shock reaches under his coat and pulls out his gun. He raises above the desk for a second shooting out, almost hitting the man, if he hadn't ducked out of the way, behind a desk as well.
Shots ring out over and over, the small building making the shots defaning. As Mark shoots he occasionally looks over to the door, thinking about making a run for it, but deciding against it. It wasn't possible to get there without being hit with one of the bullets whizzing past.
Mark shoots back once again before his gun is empty. He reaches in grabbing the second gun he keeps and hesitates before shoooting back, realizing he had to save his ammo as much as possible. After all he had only one magazine left.
"Shit."
Mark growls as a bullet whizzing by just barely misses hitting him in the head.
Jack was sitting there covering his ears from the noise when he hears Mark cry out in pain. Jack quickly looks over and Mark held his hand, the one that once held the gun, which now bled profusely, the gun dropped by Mark's side.
Jack quickly rushes over and examines his hand, one of the bullets must have hit him when he went up to shoot. Jack's eyes widened as he looked at the blood, holding back a bit of bile he felt in the back of his throat, threatening to make him gag.
The smell of iron hit Mark and his head spun a bit, he was normally ok with blood, but seeing his own, leaking from his body, slightly panicked him and his breathing quickened.
Jack puts his hand on the man's shoulder to try and calm him, but his breathing only went quicker, he was on the verge of a panic attack. Not only because he was hurt, but because the thought of losing Jack to this madness kept crossing his mind, the thought making his eyes tear up slightly. He didn't want to fail Sean.
Jack sighs seeing the man wasn't helpful at the moment, his mind elsewhere. Jack looks down to the gun, and hesitates but soon grabs it. He peeks slightly above the desk they were hidden behind and takes in a breath.
The world seems to slow as Jack looks down the barrel of the pistol, at his target. In the back of his mind he imagines the night with Mark, when he was first teaching him to shoot, when Jack first began to care for Mark.
He imagines Mark's strong arms around him, guiding his arms where to go, his soft gruff voice in his ear.
Shoot.
Mark's voice says in a whisper in the back of Jack's mind. Jack pulls the trigger and the shot rings out. Soon the shots stopping all together. Jack peeks up and looks over just as he see's the boss hold his stomach, blood beginning to pool over his hand, before he collapses to the floor.
Jack stares wide eyed before dropping the gun and kneeling next to Mark once again. Mark had calmed down enough to wrap his hand in what looked to be a torn strip of fabric from his jacket.
Mark takes in a couple more deep breaths before standing, wobbling slightly but acting as though he was completely fine.
"Nice shot, Sean."
Mark says holding his good hand out to help Jack up. Jack looks at him as he stands up with the help of Mark, keeping his back faced towards the man not wanting to look at him. It seemed Mark didn't wish to look either, though he was facing towards the man he kept his eyes on Jack.
"thanks... you alright?"
Jack asks quietly, looking at Mark worriedly. He had hated seeing Mark so panicked, so defensless, and hoped to never see the man like that again.
"Fine, don't worry ab-"
Mark begins but is cut off as a shot rings out once again. Jack jumps and looks at Mark who stared at him wide eyed. Soon Jack notices blood begining to pool and soak through Mark's chest, slowly getting faster and faster.
Jack cries out in surpsrise as Mark collapses, breathing, but his breaths short and ragged, clearly struggling with each one. Jack turns around quickly to see where the shot had come from. And See's the boss, lying on the ground with the gun aimed at where Mark once stood, a small smile on his face before he collapses again, this time not breathing.
Jack quickly rushes over to Mark, holding the man's head in his lap and trying to apply pressure to his bleeding chest.
"Mark stay with me, you're going to be fine!"
Jack rambles scrambling to stop the bleeding, but the blood kept coming.
"S-Sean..."
Mark says quietly, his eyes blackening at the edges, as his body threatens to lose conciousness.
"Mark don't speak, you will be fine."
Jack says, his voice quivering as tears roll freely down his cheeks. Mark's eyes tear up as he looks up at the man. Soon Mark's hand presses against Jack's cheek gently, wiping a couple of the tears away.
This only makes Jack cry more, his blue eyes pained as he looked down at his wounded friend, who seemed closer and closer to death with each passing second.
"Sean.... I L-Lov-"
Mark begins before being interuppted by his own coughing, a bit of blood coming up with each cough.
"Mark... Mark!"
Jack calls out as Mark's eyes slowly close and his hand drops from the green haired man's face. The last thing he hears is Jack sobbing his name before everything goes black.
((You guys are going to be so mad at me for this cliffhanger XD SORRY!!!))
