Chapter 4
You wake up feeling sick. Not I'll, but very sick. You process that Angie and Tenko, two close friends of Himiko, died. And they were both killed by people trying to save other people's lives close to them.
You start to think about it. "Ryoma killed someone for his girlfriend, that classifies as a yandere. And just because Korekiyo wasn't romantically involved with his sister, doesn't change the fact that in a form of way, he killed for someone he loved. So two yanderes kill two close friends of Himiko in one day."
You needed to make sure she was okay. You know how to loose someone close to you.
You leave the dorm and see Himiko on the way to the dinning hall.
"Hey!" You call out.
"Nyeh?" Himiko sees you and smiles widly. "Oh, good morning Kokichi!"
"Y-Yeah." You wanted to get it of your chest. "H-Hey, about yesterday with, THAT, you okay. I-I mean, you seen happy, and you don't have to-" before you could finish, Himiko says,
"Oh! I'm okay! I'm not going to let Monokuma get me down! Nyeh! I'M NOT GOING INTO DESPAIR! I DESERVE TO BE HAPPY AND FREE! AND I WILL FIND IT!"
You smile and say, "You're right! And I'm glad to hear it.
"Oh," Himiko looked uncomfortable. "R-Right, that."
She then walks away. Guess that no one is over the fact that I am the Ultimate Queen Bee. And, Kaede, might have...
You shack it off and head into the dinning hall.
"Morning sleepy head~!" Kokichi greets first.
"Morning (Y/N)!" Shuichi greets afterwards, trying to look better than Kokichi.
"Morning!" Kaito yells. "(Y/N), I'm going to cook! EGGS AND PANCAKES!"
You like his enthusiasm, but you couldn't help but feel worried after the last time he cooked for you. You had to use a fire extinguisher.
"U-Umm, Kaito?" You say. "Maybe not today?"
Kaito looked a little offended. "I'm an amazing cook, okay?"
"... No." You say. "Not after last time your not."
"... Come on. That was over 5 years ago, I've grown!" He heads to the kitchen and you look around worriedly.
"Tsumugi?" You say to her. "Can you keep an eye on Kaito please?"
"Ummm... Fine, okay." She walked off and you sat down feeling way more relaxed.
After breakfast, and exploring the place for move unlocked labs, you actually decided to hit the library and READ. You say on the ground and decided to learn most of your day like a NERD.
While reading, you actually found out quite a bit of fun information. Like how DICE, an evil organization led by the most deadly of villains. The leader would create non stop terrorism and threatened police and even world leaders. They mostly had a power in Japan, but they were quickly spreading there power outwards.
Right as you were reading that, Shuichi grabbed the book out of your hands. You didn't hear him enter, he must have been really quite.
He didn't say anything, but move to another section of the library.
He grabbed a manga and said, "Here. I want to you read it. With me."
He then handed you the book and say down. You wanted to ask what was up with him, but now didn't seem like the time. You and Shuichi spend the rest of the afternoon reading together. Manga mainly.
The day ended shortly and you get together with Kaito and the gang again.
Kaito said he wanted everyone to talk about themselves. Maki told us about her time in the orphanage and being an adventurer around the world. She also explains how she has no idea why she did it because what she remembers is from the flashback lights and pieces of the puzzle that she figured out herself. You when to reach out and hug her. She quickly tells you not to.
After that and Shuichi avoiding some of his questions, the spotlight came to you.
"Maybe," Kaito says, "We shouldn't do this."
"No," you say, "it's fine. It's time I tell the truth."
You start a long monologue about yourself:
"As a kid, I had a mother and father. I liked them too. Until, the men and assassins came to kill my family from having connections with the Honey Comb organization. Everyone in my family knew about the Honey Comb organization and got support from them at the time, but I wasn't declared a Queen Bee or leader yet. My parents sacrificed themselves for me and killed the assassins before they could get to me. I was moved then to some distance relatives. They died the same way too. Only, I got stabbed too. But the hospital said that the assassins missed my vital organs. The pattern continued. If I made it out with no marks, I was just moved and if I was hurt it did no permit damage. This continued until my 10th birthday in this cycle where the leader of the Honey Comb organization said that I was able to leave this cycle behind. If I did this, then all the murders would stop. I was put into year 10 Class Black. It was just me and 12 other assassins in this class. This includes Kaito if course. Me and Kaito were put into the same dorm room!"
"Yeah," Kaito says explaining his side of the story in Class Black, "me and (Y/N) were put together for some unknown reason. Good thing. After learning about (Y/N) and their "strategy", I knew they wouldn't last a second. I stayed with them, by there side. I changed sides to protect them from the class... The rules of Class Black, you have to seen an advanced notice saying you are going to kill (Y/N), like a letter. Once it's sent, an assassin gets 48 hours to kill them."
You continue, "We learned that it wasn't to kill me, it was to test me, to see if I could be the leader. I didn't want this... But it is, was, the only way to stop this vicious cycle. I wouldn't have wanted it if I wasn't that." You started to cry. You took a deep breathe and smile. "So from that moment on, I trained to become the ruler I would become."
"You still smile so innocently." Maki says. "Why? Wouldn't you give up?"
"My mother." You say. "My mother said she always loved my smile. So I will smile, for her, always."
The group was silent until you say, "Okay, so who's up next?"
Kaito was ready to tell a little bit about his background until Shuichi interrupted him.
"I was brought up by world leaders." He said. "They always wanted power, control, together. They wanted to bring the world to it's knees and didn't care what had to be done. So I revolted. I revolted and got together a group of people to threaten my family and stop them in there tracks... I want to stop world leaders. There is, was, no way I knew how to stop them.. until now." He mumbled the last part
"What did you say?" You question, not hearing the mumbled part.
"N-nothing." He says.
"You idiot Shuichi." Kaito says. "Don't worry! There is always change if you work hard enough and believe in yourself!"
"Wok hard?" Shuichi questions, angry, "I HAVE worked! I have worked myself to the god damn bone!"
"We're getting sidetracked." Maki says. "If you want to debate this later then do it. Right now, I want to know about Kaito's history."
"Wh-what? W-well," Kaito blushes and is quick to tell and impressed Maki with his story.
"Oh yeah!" Shuichi says. "You're a killer aren't you."
"You call it your 'talent'," Maki states, "But you never mentioned your background and barely act like one."
"Like what?" He laughs. "A blood thirsty serial killer?"
"Yeah." You laugh too. "Trying to pull off the blood thirsty serial killer thing over and over again would be annoying and just not be very surprising or interesting anymore, would it?"
The author of this fan fiction then sips green tea and then makes so none of the characters realize that the author just broke the fourth wall down after a few seconds have passed.
"I don't act like I've killed someone," Kaito said, "because I haven't. My family is a part of a group of Assassins. But because of their work, many of them died. I am the last one in my family besides, my grandma and grandpa. Because of this, I'm the last Momota left. I went though the training to become an assassin and follow in my family's footsteps. Hell, I was even put in a school just for assassin training. Oh yeah, before you ask, those ARE real. Anyways, my first target was supposed to be (Y/N). I was chosen because I was 'The most psychologically messed up kid they could find' as my teacher quotes.
"I roomed with (Y/N) and was told they were the target. After I realized that that was not happening and protected them, I just kinda lived with (Y/N) until halfway after a month after graduation. I went back to my grandparents. I was considered a disgrace and was eventually kick out of the house after enough 'rebeling'. I finally left and started off as an orphan and 14. Problem was, the Momota family is well known in some areas of Japan for there killings. This orphanage knew exactly who I was as soon as I said my name. All sorts of rumors came up around me and because of that and my name, I was know as the Ultimate Assassin. I'm not a psychopath though. And I keep hope for my future."
"... You could just be lying to us right?" Maki stated, of all people.
(Y/N)'s thoughts: "COME ON MAKI! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO HASN'T TOLLED US YOUR TALENT BECAUSE YOU DON'T REMEMBER. DON'T BE RUDE. YOU COULD BE MAKING UP THE AMNESIA- calm done (Y/N)"
"It doesn't matter." Kaito said. "I mean, it would hurt me because that's the truth. But I'm not going to yell at you for it. I understand it could be mistaken for a lie. I say though, as long as it's not hurting me or others, you can believe what you want."
"...Alright." Maki said. "I don't believe you but.... No. I believe you."
"Really?" Kaito looked in happiness. "Th-Thank you!"
"Yeah!" You say. "You know I believe in you, but I might as well say it again. I always believed in you."
"Fine." Shuichi said. "I believe in you. I think. For now."
"Thanks!" Kaito said and then realized the time. "Welp, it's getting late. We should turn in."
".... Fine alright." Maki said following after Kaito.
As soon as you get up and start heading to your door, Shuichi snatches your hand.
"Ummm..." You say. "What are you doing?"
"I'm walking you home." He said confidently.
"... Alright." You respond. "Sure."
You walk back to your dorm room and you head in. Shuichi quickly went back to his dorm room and held his hands together.
Meanwhile, Kokichi was on his bed, crying.
Earlier today, he went and saw the secret to the outside world. He couldn't believe it.
He knew that the only way to now survive was to live a life inside the killing game campus with no murders. He couldn't believe it. He was thinking like "Atua" now. Was he the next profit. He doesn't even know anymore.
Worse, Mui called to see him earlier today. After listening to her for a while, he realized she was planning a murder, on HIM. He needed to stop and get rid of. Mui. He's talked to her before about abandoning the killing game a fighting back, but she was to scared and wanted to do things Monokuma's way.
Finally, he decided to head to the game room and call for Monokuma. Kokichi said he wanted to add a second motive to the killing game. If he can use that motive to have someone kill Mui, then Mui wouldn't try to kill someone else and then he could continue his new plan to end the killing game.
He hated this. HATED. He had to do it though. He hated he had to break the law. He wanted to go to space. It was his life. A simple astronaut was causing such a mess and despair, when any astronaut going into space should create hope for humanity. But that's why HE wasn't doing this and then setting the body on fire and disposing the ashes so no one could find the body or dtrigger Monokuma to use the body discovery announcement.
Kokichi kept saying in his head;" I have to do this, I have to do this, there is no other way. You don't even like Mui." Unfortunately for him, he liked the OTHER person he needed to sacrifice.
