Ishimondo (or just Ishimaru) theme song-

So I found a song that I think fits these two really well, it's called Some Nights, and it's by Fun.

It's one of my favorite songs, but as I started to pay closer attention to the lyrics, I realized it kinda fit these two. Or maybe just Ishimaru, it maybe it's his relationship with Mondo through his perspective. But anyways, allow me to explain.

Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck, some nights I call it a draw.

Some nights I wish that my lips could build a castle, some nights I wish they'd just fall off.

This could represent Ishimaru in the killing game. As the ultimate moral compass, it would make sense that he wouldn't be happy in a killing game (then again I don't think anyone would be) and would want to bring some order in the situation. But with the constant killings, fights, and motives, he would probably feel like giving up, wondering what was the point of trying to keep everyone in line if they were going to kill anyways?

But I still wake up I still see your ghost

Oh lord I'm still not sure what I stand for oh

what do I stand for? What do I stand for?

Most nights, I don't know anymore

This is where the ishimondo thing comes in. It was clear to everyone and their grandma's these two had a bond, an immediate click. But Mondo killed Chihiro, he went against what Ishimaru would stand for. And yet he still begged for Mondo to live.

Even before he killed Chihiro, his ultimate talent was literally criminal based, and Ishimaru still became his friend. That would surely cause some inner conflict, because Mondo goes against his morals. He begged for a killer to live, surely he would be questioning what he stood for, right?

This is it boys, this is war. What are we waiting for? Why don't we break the rules already?

I was never one to believe the hype, save that for the black and white

I try twice as hard, and I'm half as liked

But here they come again to jack my style

This could be Ishimaru as soon as the games start. He wants to bring order, he want to keep things and everyone together, but no one listens to him. But he keeps trying, he tries twice as hard, but he's only half as liked. That and in top of trying to get out alive, again, there's probably an inner struggle to follow his morals and live at the same time.

And of course there the "here they come again to jack my style." Which uh....I'm pretty sure you know what I'm referring to.

A n y w a y s, this is just a little snippet, I might do an actual analysis of the song and talk about how it fits Taka, but I'm currently too tired to finished this and want to get this character published sooooo, yeah. Unless a full analysis is asked for this is all your getting.
