(Y/N) P.O.V.:
It was the day after two students of Hope's Peak Academy Reserve Course were killed. Everyone was still sad and Mahiru and Fuyuhiko were the ones feeling it the most. Fuyuhiko had lost his little sister and Mahiru had just lost her best friend. I know what it's like to lose someone close to you, believe me. And yet they are still making us take the practical exams. I was also sad that I was just remembering how I lost the people I loved. My friends, my family, my master. Right now I am just sitting by the fountain with Chiaki waiting for that Hajime boy. She wanted me to meet him so we can get to know each other. After a while, Chiaki puts her head in my lap and I start petting her. She looked over her Game Girl Advance and looked up at the sky.

Chiaki: Hajime isn't coming today, is he?

(Y/N): It doesn't look like it. Sorry, Nanami-chan, maybe he'll be here tomorrow.

Chiaki: I hope so. *goes back to playing her game*

After waiting for another half-hour, Chiaki started getting tired so I walked her to her dorm. When we got to her dorm, I told her good night, kissed her on top of her head and walked back to my dorm.

*Time Skip*

It was the first day of the practical exams. We were all given the day off so we could practice our talents in order to pass the practical exams. The papers that Yukizome-sensei gave me said that I was going to be tested on my stealth. That shouldn't be too hard. I'll practice in a little while, right now I want to see how Chiaki is doing with her practicing. I was walking towards her dorm until I felt someone tap on my shoulder I turned around and saw Akane standing there.

(Y/N): Hello, Owari-san. What can I do for you?

Akane: Well, I was wondering if you could help me practice for my practical exam.

(Y/N): I don't mind helping you. But why me and not Nidai-san?

Akane: Because it's like you said the other day, he's the strength and you're the speed. And since my exam is based on speed and attacking and we're the fastest people in the school and you were able to beat me, I thought "Why not (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): Oh, OK then. Well, where do you want to practice?

Akane: Why not by that cherry blossom that you go to every morning?

(Y/N): OK, well I have to do something, so let's meet in about say an hour?

Akane: Sure. See ya, then.

She turned around and walked away to get ready for practice and I continued walking to Chiaki's dorm.

*Time Skip*

After I watched Chiaki play games for a while, I went to the cherry blossom to help Akane practice for her exam. When I got there I saw that she was already practicing her attacking on one of my training dummies. I called out to her and she finally showed the dummy mercy and gave me a smile.

Akane: Hey, (Y/N). Ready to practice?

(Y/N): Of course.

After I said that, we both got in a fighting stance. She ran at me and hit me with a barrage of attacks that I easily dodged or blocked. After a minute, when I blocked one of her attacks, I threw her over my shoulder and she hit the cherry blossom. She got up and we went back into out stances, but this time I attacked her and she was blocking them. And, to my surprise, she dodged one of my attacks and gave me a German suplex. She tried to stomp on me but I rolled out of the way just in time.

(Y/N): You never cease to amaze me, Owari-san.

Akane: I try.

We keep on going at it until we both made a punch... on each others face almost knocking us both out. We were so tired that we were just panting and sweating from all of our running around. I went to get us both a bottle of water and I came back to find her leaning on the cherry blossom. I gave her one of the bottles and I leaned on the tree next to her. We were silent for a couple of minutes, until I decided to break it.

(Y/N): You are a good fighter, Owari-san. I think you'll pass your practical.

Akane: You think so?

(Y/N): Absolutely.

Akane: Well, thank you for agreeing to train me, (Y/N).

(Y/N): No problem, Owari-san.

Akane: As thanks for training me, I would like to give you something.

Before I could ask, Akane got on top of me and kissed me on the lips. I was trying to push her off of me, but she was keeping my arms down and me being tired didn't help me whatsoever. After a couple more seconds, Akane stopped kissing me and looked at me, blushing.

Akane: (Y/N), I love you.

I was dumbfound and shocked. I knew that all of the girls liked me, but I didn't think one of them would do this after I told them me and Chiaki were dating. After a couple of seconds, I regained myself and looked at her.

(Y/N): Owari-san, I can't accept it. You know Nanami-chan and I are dating and if she found out about this it would break her heart.

Akane looked sad for a second, but then it looked like she had an idea. She then nodded and got off of me. I was about to get up until Akane pushed me back down.

Akane: Wait here. I'll be right back.

After that she left me at the cherry blossom still thinking about what just happened.

Chiaki P.O.V.:
I was playing games and waiting for (Y/N) to get back. He said he was going to help Akane train and that he'll be back after, but it's been about an hour and a half and he still hasn't come back. I was about to start a new mission until someone knocked on my door. I paused the game, walked to the door, and opened it and saw Akane standing there.

Chiaki: Hey, Akane. Where's (Y/N)?

Akane: He's still at our training spot. I need you to follow me for a minute.

Chiaki: Why?

Akane: Just trust me.

I followed Akane over to her training spot and saw it was the cherry blossom (Y/N) always goes to. When we got close enough I saw (Y/N) sitting there waiting for something. He noticed us, got up, and walked toward us. He had a questioning face when he saw that I was here.

(Y/N): Um... Owari-san, why is Nanami-chan here?

Akane: Because I want to ask you both something and I need both of you to agree to it.

(Y/N): OK...

Akane: Well Chiaki, I know you and (Y/N) are dating and all, but I love him too. So, I was wondering if we could work something out.

I was shocked at first and thought it was a joke and was about to start laughing until I saw how serious she was. I then started to think about it. Akane and (Y/N) were staring at me, waiting for my answer.

Chiaki: Well,... I guess we can work something out.

Akane: Thank you. (Y/N), what do you have to say? I need you to agree, too.

(Y/N): I-I... guess I can live with that.

Akane: Is that a yes?

(Y/N): It is,... Owari-chan.

She smiled and hugged (Y/N) tightly. I joined in on the hug and he hugged us both back. Then, an explosion went off at the exam building. We all looked toward it and saw smoke rising from the building.

(Y/N): Stay here.

After he said that, he scaled the school and started running towards the building.

(Y/N) P.O.V.:
What the hell was that?! I was running towards the building and saw that it was just rubble. I jumped off the school, looked around and saw Nagito, Yukizome-sensei, and four other teachers. I looked towards the rubble and examined the damage. I then turned toward the others.

(Y/N): What happened?

Chisa: I think Nagito caused the explosion.

(Y/N): Why do you think Komaeda-san did it?

Chisa: Earlier he came to me asking to postpone the exams. I said no, but I didn't think he would go this far.

(Y/N): OK, well, go talk to him. I'm gonna check the rubble for survivors.

Yukizome-sensei nodded and walked off. I walked towards the rubble and started looking around for people to help.

*Time Skip*

I was sitting in the classroom with everyone else. We were all silent. I was happy that there were no casualties from the explosion, but I couldn't bring myself to smile. I lost another one; another person I care about, another person I trusted, another person I wanted to protect. After a couple more minutes, Yukizome-sensei walked in.

Chisa: Everyone, good morn- *stops when she sees our faces, walks to podium* You heard the announcement, huh?

Everyone then got up and started asking her questions. I just sat in my chair and looked out the window. It's not that I didn't want to talk to her, it's just I don't know what to say in this situation.

Chisa: (Y/N)?

I looked towards everyone and I saw them all staring at me.

Chisa: Do you have something you'd like to say?

I just sighed and looked out the window again.

(Y/N): Why you? You were the best normal teacher I ever had and they take you away from me. I didn't have a good childhood I didn't have much friends, but I wanted to help and protect everyone close to me. And now I lost you and Komaeda-san.

Chisa: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): *looks toward them with tears in his eyes* Why you? You were one of the best things to ever happen in my life and they take you away. I always wanted to protect you, all of you, but now I can't do that, I can't protect you now. I've lost so many people in my life. *tears start going down his cheeks* I don't want to lose anyone else! I don't want the same thing to happen like last time, or the time before that, or the time before that! And now I've lost you and Nagito! How do I expect myself to protect anyone if I can't even-! *gets cut off by Chisa hugging him*

Chisa: I'm sorry you feel like that. And I'm sorry for leaving you. But remember I'll be back soon. And when I come back you can protect me as much as you want. In the meantime, protect everyone. Do your best to make sure everyone is safe. *looks you in the eye* Can you do that for me?

All I can do is nod and hug her again. I cried into her shoulder thinking of all the good times we all had together. I just wanted to protect as many people as I could. I'll keep my promise Yukizome-sensei. And if it comes to it, I'll gladly die for any of them.
