(Y/N) P.O.V.:
I just got back to Hope's Peak from a very long mission. I walked into my dorm room and looked at the clock. It was 11:30. And we have a test tomorrow. Perfect. I closed my door, walked over to my desk, and took out the books I needed to study. Let's see how well this goes.

*Time Skip*

I just finished the test and it was lunchtime. I walked into the lunchroom and sat down at a random table. I decided to skip lunch for today and sleep a little. I put my head down and closed my eyes. A few minutes wouldn't hurt.

DREAMWORLD

I was surrounded by darkness. I saw no light whatsoever. Then a bang went off and color filled the room and what I saw horrified me. I saw all of my classmates in cages, dead. There was also maniacal laughter in the room, but I couldn't find the person who was laughing. It was a male, that's all I can tell for now. Then another image appeared and it was Hope's Peak Academy... being burned to the ground. Reserve Course and Main Course students, dead. Then I heard it again. That same maniacal laughter. I held my head, trying to wake myself up. Everything faded to black and I could feel myself waking up.

REAL WORLD

I slowly opened my eyes and I felt someone petting me. I looked up and saw all of the girls around me. I then turned and saw Chiaki was the one petting me. I smiled at them all and they all smiled back.

Chiaki: Morning, Sleepyhead. You OK?

(Y/N): Yeah. Why?

Akane: Well, you were sweating when we came over here.

Peko: And twitching slightly.

Mahiru: And you're face looked horrified.

(Y/N): Well, I can assure it was nothing.

Mikan: A-Are you sure?

(Y/N): Yes, Tsumiki-chan. I'm sorry if I worried you all.

Hiyoko: It's not like I was worried or anything.

Sonia: Yes, you were. You were the first one to say something.

Hiyoko: *blushes* S-Shut up!

I looked over and saw some of the boys were looking over here. Some of them were glaring at me. Mainly Kazuichi and Fuyuhiko. Guess they liked one of the girls. I then turned back to the girls and saw they were still talking.

Ibuki: What were you dreaming about anyway, (Y/N)?

All of the girl looked at me and I froze. I couldn't tell them what really happened. They'd probably get scared. I'm going to hate myself for this, but I have to lie to them.

(Y/N): ...I don't remember.

Sonia: Don't lie. You can tell us.

(Y/N): No, I really don't remember. My body only remembers good dreams and gets rid of the bad.

Chiaki: Oh, well, it's just a dream. Only some dreams become a reality.

(Y/N): Yeah, you're right.

Let's hope this one doesn't.

*Time Skip*

It's been a couple days since that dream. I had to go to the bathroom, so I had to leave the class for a couple of minutes. I came back to the classroom and opened the door. No one was in there. Strange. Everyone was here a couple minutes ago. I walked around the campus trying to find my class. Still nothing. I then walked back to the classroom. Maybe they returned from wherever they went. I opened the door and they still weren't back yet.

(Y/N): Where could they've gone?

I looked at the teacher's stand and noticed a little iPad on it. I walked up to it and saw there was a video message on there. I looked at it and my eyes widen. I saw my entire class, even Kizakura-sensei, in cages, unconscious. Then a man walked in front of the camera and turned towards it. He then spoke in a distorted voice.

???: Hello, (Y/N). As you've already seen, we have all of your friends in cages. If you are not here in 24 hours... we will kill them. You should get another message after this video. That is our current location. Come and try to save your friends. I want to see how much despair I can make for my mistress when I kill you right in front of your friends.

Chiaki: Don't listen to him, (Y/N)!

The man turned around and I saw Chiaki standing up. The man then started walking towards her cage, but she didn't back down.

Chiaki: You can do this! I believe in you! We all believe in you! We all know you'll save us and defeat this man!

???: *stops in front of Chiaki* Silence!!

He then backhands Chiaki as hard as he could and it left a red mark. I felt anger grow in me after I saw that. The man then turned back to me.

???: Good luck, ninja.

The video then goes black. I was still a little shocked at what I saw, but I snapped out of it when I saw the address. It was an old, abandoned temple. The Synagogue of Placidity. Ironic. It will not be peaceful when I get there. I grabbed my duffel bag, changed into my ninja outfit, put all of my weapons on me, and started walking towards the Synagogue of Placidity.

(Y/N): There going to die. Because of me. *shakes head violently* No! Get those thoughts out of your head! You will not let someone else die because of you. Not again.

FLASHBACK
( (Y/N) is 10 years old)

I was walking back to my village from my small trip. I got my family a deer for dinner. Nice. I looked up at the sky and saw there was smoke. Wait... that's coming from my village. I dropped the deer I killed and started running towards the village. Once I got to the gate, I froze. I saw my entire village being burned. I started running towards my house. I saw my mother and father both dead in front of my house. I heard a scream from inside, so I ran in. I stopped and saw my little sister being stabbed. The man stabbing her was a samurai and he was wearing red and black armor.

(Y/N): No!!

The man took his blade out of my now dead sister and looked towards me. I only saw his blue eyes through his mask. He jumped towards me and slashed at me with his sword. I closed my eyes, expecting the worst.

CLASH

I heard two swords clashing with each other. I opened my eyes and saw a kid, around 13, blocking the samurai's sword. The samurai jumped back and stared at the boy, who is staring back at the samurai. Then the boy sheathed his sword, grabbed me, and ran away from the samurai and the village. He kept running until we were in the middle of the forest. He put me down and I was able to get a good look at him. He had black hair and green eyes.

Boy: Are you OK?

(Y/N): Y-Yes. W-Who was that?

Boy: I don't know, but I do know he was after you.

(Y/N): *eyes widen* W-Why?

Boy: Apparently, he got some information on there being a boy who will live up to be a well-trained ninja. That boy is you.

(Y/N): S-So, everyone I know is dead. Because of me.

I felt tears welling up inside of eyes. The boy saw this and sighed.

Boy: Akiba.

(Y/N): W-What?

Boy: That's my name. Akiba Fumio.

(Y/N): (Y/N); (Y/N) (L/N).

Akiba: Nice to meet you, (Y/N). Now, it was said you would become a ninja. So, I'm gonna train you.

(Y/N): Really?

Akiba: Really. Come on. Let's get to the temple.

I nodded and he lead the way to his temple. I looked back one more time and still saw smoke up in the sky.

(Y/N): Goodbye, childhood. Hello, new life.

I then turned around and we continued walking towards the temple.

*Time Skip*
( (Y/N) is now 14)

I was coming back from a trip where I had to kill some evil ninjas. I was almost there, but I felt a presence next to me. It then jumped out and it was a person. He tried to slash at me with a sword, but I blocked his with mine. I jumped away from him and got a good look at him. It was a samurai. The same samurai who ruined my life.

(Y/N): You!

Samurai: So, you remember me.

(Y/N): Of course I remember you. You killed everyone I know.

Samurai: Then I'll do you a favor and make you join them.

He then ran at me and tried to slash at me with his sword. I blocked it and we were stuck in a clash. I then felt another presence behind me. That one jumped out and tried to slash at me. I brought out my other sword and blocked his. I was able to kick him back and get away from them. I then got a good look at the one behind me. His armor was red and blue. And he had red eyes.

Samurai 2: Sorry, I wasn't able to kill him, master.

Samurai 1: No worries. We'll get him during the next attack.

The black samurai then ran at me and I blocked his slash with both of my swords. We were, again, stuck in a clash. He then did something that shocked me. He broke one of my swords and disarmed me of the other in a second. Then the blue samurai came from behind him and stabbed me right through the chest and I coughed up blood. He took his sword out and I fell to the ground, while they stood above me.

Samurai 2: What should we do with him?

Samurai 1: What kind of question is that, you idiot apprentice? We kill him.

Samurai 2: R-Right.

The blue samurai then raised his sword over his head and was about to cut my head off. Then another person came out of a nearby bush and kicked the blue samurai away. I looked up and saw Akiba standing there with his sword in both hands.

Akiba: I knew I should've come with you.

Samurai 1: Long time, no see, Akiba.

Akiba: Right back at ya, Shishido.

Shishido: So, this is your apprentice?

Akiba: Yes. And this is yours?

Shishido: Yes.

Akiba: Why don't we have a little battle, just the two of us? Settle our matters once and for all.

Shishido: Fine by me. *raises sword*

They both stayed still for a second and then ran at each other. They were attacking and blocking each other at lightning speed. It was incredible. I could barely even see what was happening. Then they were stuck in a clash.

Shishido: Still as fast as ever, eh, Akiba?

Akiba: I could say the same to you, Shishido. But this ends now.

Akiba then disarmed Shishido of his sword and stabbed him through the heart. Shishido coughed up blood and looked up at Akiba.

Akiba: You lose, Shishido.

Shishido: No, we both lose.

Shishido then grabbed Akiba's wrist. Akiba tried to escape, but couldn't get out of his grasp. I then turned and saw the blue samurai running up to them.

(Y/N): Akiba!!

Akiba looked over, but it was too late. The second he looked over the blue samurai cut his head off. Shishido then let go of Akiba and his body dropped to the ground. Then Shishido dropped to his knees, then fell face first into the ground, dead. I saw the blue samurai walk up to me.

Samurai: Like master, like apprentice.

He then raised his sword. I screamed and used all of my might to get up and sweep his legs. He fell to the ground and I ran towards my sword. I grabbed it and looked at the samurai, who was back on his feet.

Samurai: Why won't you die as easily as your worthless master?

(Y/N): No one... calls him worthless!!!

I ran towards the samurai and we both started slashing and blocking each other's moves. After a couple of minutes, we were both exhausted. I was losing strength fast due to my injury. I was about to collapse, but then I felt more presences coming up fast. I looked towards them and saw more ninjas. They all saw me, the samurai, the dead Akiba, and the dead Shishido. The samurai looked back and forth and sheathed his sword. He then grabbed his master's sword and ran away. I slowly walked my way to Akiba and looked at his headless body. I then walked over to Shishido, took Akiba's sword from him, and then collapsed next to Akiba's body.

*Time Skip*

I woke up in the temple hospital room. I tried to sit up, but felt immense pain. I looked down and saw a hole in my chest.

(Y/N): So, it wasn't a dream. Akiba's...

I couldn't even finish my sentence. Just then the doctor walked in and saw me. He walked towards me and I saw Akiba's sword in his hand. He put the sword next to mine and looked back at me with a sad face. Someone else died because of me. Again. The doctor walked out and I looked at Akiba's and my sword.

(Y/N): I promise you, mom, dad, little sis, Akiba, no one else will join you because of me.

FLASHBACK OVER

I was looking at Akiba's sword and I felt tears running down my face. I then looked at the end of the hilt of Akiba's sword. It had our initials on it.

I sheathed Akiba's sword and started walking towards the Synagogue of Placidity. If only I knew, that that would be, The Beginning of The End... of me.
