The Plan of Despair - Final Chapter

A few days had passed, and Michio had not gone back to school. Instead, he was off with his sister, causing destruction and suffering. Hope's Peak Academy had gone into a panic, seeing how many reserve course students were dead and missing. Mika had made Michio forget his morals, instead doing all he could to get that amazing feeling of despair.

As the two walked through the school grounds, Michio was smiling. He was thoroughly enjoying this, and could almost ignore Mika clinging to his arm. It was dawn, so they were completely alone.

At least, that's what they thought, until Eiko emerged from behind a tree with a smile. She approached them, and Michio felt his sister's grip on him tightening.

"Oh Zetami-kun, I knew you'd come around!" Eiko exclaimed, twirling a strand of her dirty blonde hair. "I told you you'd enjoy it eventually~."

"It's amazing... you really were right, Sato-chan." Michio replied, taking a step closer. "Despair really is a great thing."

"Of course it is." Eiko giggled a bit.

Mika stepped forward, glaring at the taller girl. "I think you're lost, Sato. Why don't you find your way back home?" She growled.

"Look who's feisty." Eiko laughed, only making Mika's glare strengthen. "You think Zetami-kun's all yours, but really, he'd never really love you the way you want... oh wait, you already know that. You're just that pathetic, you keep trying when you know it's no use."

"Shut it." Mika clenched her teeth, taking another step forward. Michio was sure she knew Eiko was just trying to get a reaction, but it effected her anyways. This is getting interesting.

"What's wrong? Little girl can't handle the truth?" Eiko teased. "I think you know your brother would be much better with someone else."

That was Mika's last straw. She lunged at the girl, taking out the knife she kept in her pocket. Eiko was pinned down before she had any real chance to defend herself, and there was little more than a flash of fear in her expression before Mika was stabbing her in the neck and chest repeatedly. Within seconds, she was dead.

"That's better." Mika let out a wistful sigh, looking back up at Michio. "It's much better when it's just us working together. Can we be together forever?"

Michio thought for a moment. Mika was overbearing at best, but she was useful. If he used her to his advantage, he could do great things, but he needed her under his complete control.

"Of course. I'll even marry you if you do everything I say." Michio replied with a smirk.

Mika looked shocked, staring in disbelief for a moment before smiling wide. She jumped up, wrapping her arms around him tightly. "Yes! Yes! I'll do anything you say, anything!"

Michio ran a hand through her hair, a grin on his face. "Perfect. Let's go back home, how does that sound?"

"Back home...?" Mika muttered in slight confusion. "Why?"

"I always hated that town, let's get rid of everyone there." Michio replied, then paused for a moment. "I want to see my classmates in despair, it would be the perfect spot."

Mika pulled back, understanding flooding into her gaze. "You want to do the same thing Enoshima was planning, with your class?"

Michio nodded. "That's right, but I want to be a part of it too. Having a front row seat to the despair." He leaned in closer. "You can be behind the scenes, controlling the game when I can't."

"That sounds like fun." Mika slipped her hand into his, her grin growing. "Let's head home."
