Kazuki went to his seat, and Mitsuo nodded to him. He quickly took attendance before addressing the class. "Alright, so the students missing are Natsumi Kato, Willow White, and Tomi Uyeda. Do any of you know where they are?"

"Willow just got a bunch of baby snakes!" Mai exclaimed, letting out a small squeal. "She showed me this morning, they're all so adorable! She didn't come because she has to get them set up."

"Alright, I guess that's a reasonable excuse..." Mitsuo said, "But what about the others?"

"I bet Kato-chan's just late... she doesn't care much about school...." Katashi said with a small nervous laugh.

Jikkō then spoke up, sounding slightly annoyed. "Tomi's probably harassing someone or building a bomb or stealing candy from babies. Something like that."

Michio looked back at her. "Why do you even hang out with that guy? He has some issues...."

"Nothing worse than me. We've known each other since we were kids, I know how to deal with him." Jikkō responded.

Michio just shrugged, turning back to face the front as Mitsuo cleared his throat.

"I see that there are more of you here than there were yesterday, so I should explain for anyone that didn't come." Itami started, adjusting his glasses. "I'm Mitsuo Itami, and from now on I will be your teacher. Any questions?"

Michio looked back to see Riku timidly raising his hand. "How old are you? I-I mean, you look really young...."

"I'm twenty one. I graduated university early." Mitsuo responded with a smile.

"Whoa... then you're not too much older than us..." Riku said, and Michio could see his cheeks turning the slightest shade of pink.

"Did you go to this school too?" Momo asked, her blue eyes wide with curiosity as she tilted her head innocently.

Mitsuo shook his head. "I didn't. I was scouted out to be the ultimate physicist, but I refused."

"Wait, what? Why would you refuse the Hope's Peak Academy?!" Ichiko exclaimed, obviously shocked.

"I didn't want everything to just be handed to me." Mitsuo replied calmly, "Life would be a breeze just going to this school, which is fine, but I enjoy a challenge."

Suddenly, the door slammed open and Natsumi rushed in, running straight up to the teacher. "You're a new teacher?! How did I just hear about this? I need to be on top of the news!" She pulled out a notebook and a pen, her green eyes wide and eager. "Tell me everything!"

Michio let out a sigh. Not even ten minutes into the class and Natsumi was already harassing the teacher. This is going to be a long day....
