When built, Monokuma was originally going to be an all black bear with a white mouth and stomach, but the manufacturers ran out of black material halfway through making Monokuma, so the manufactures took white fabric to finish it. This bear was later purchased by Junko's father who gave it to her as a 2nd birthday present.
