3.7: Those Who Carried On
Dribble entered the trial room, wincing when he saw Max’s and Toy Freddy’s portraits crossed out. Toy Freddy’s Portrait was crossed out with the words ‘IT'S ME’ On top of it, while Max’s had his rifle and one of his bullets crossing it out.
Heket’s Portrait was one Dribble didn't notice right away, but when he did, he got infuriated. It was crossed out with chains, with the words ‘SPEAK NO EVIL’ overlayed on top, an obvious reference to her execution and slashed throat.
“Let's just get this over and done with.” Lucky huffed. “Someone killed two people, and we need to find out who did it.”
“Of course.” Gabriel spoke. “We need to find out who was so callous as to take two lives with the potential to get us all killed.”
“We know Max killed Toy Freddy, but who killed Max?” Gourmand asked.
“Perhaps we should start with a conversation on where he died.” Dribble said. “Because if we can find out where he was when he died, maybe we can find out his killer based on who was nearby?”
“Of course.” Cobalt said. “We always have to start somewhere.”
Discuss!
“Maybe he was killed in his room?” Alastor said.
“Ay?” Big Man suggested. (Or maybe in the show stage?)
“How about the firing range?” Lucky suggested.

Truth Bullets: Max’s last known location + Max’s Responses ---> the firing range?
Agreement!
“Now that I think about it…I think he was killed in the firing range.” Dribble said. “Assuming that Gourmand was the last to see him alive before he was killed, that does make sense for him to have died in the firing range. He was most likely there to shoot someone.”
“Yeah, it makes sense.” Gabriel said. “But the confusing part is…how did his body get into the mess hall?”
“Yeah, that is what I'm wondering too.” Cobalt said. “Let's discuss that next.”
Discuss!
“Maybe the killer put his body through the vents?” Lucky pondered.
“Maybe the killer used a Miraculous to move his body?” Alastor asked.
“Perhaps it was the Yellow Crown?” Gabriel asked.
“Ay ay?” Big Man asked (I may be wrong on this, but maybe the killer used their own powers?)
Truth Bullet: Humming Noise ---> maybe the killer used their own powers?
Agreement!
“Big Man may be right.” Dribble said. “Toy Freddy and I heard a humming noise before he got shot. And I’m willing to bet it was because of the killer’s powers.”
“The question is…whose powers were used? We only have 4 people with magical powers that I know of. Lucky, Gabriel, Holly, and Alastor.” Jimmy said. “So…who was that?”
“...I think a piece of information I have is useful for this. Because there is only one person I can think of that would know a crucial piece of information without even being told by Monokuma.” Dribble said.
Select someone!
“And that someone would be Alastor.”
Alastor flinched a little, but regained composure. “Ha! Dribble, you must be jesting.”
“I'm not. Because you know a certain piece of information that is crucial for this case. One little thing. I know exactly what you know.”

Max’s Responses
Max’s last known location
---> Angelic Weakness
“You and Max are both Sinners. Therefore…you are both weak to Angelic weapons. You, Gabriel, and whoever got Max’s secret should know this. And you are the only one out of us that has the capability to do what was done in this case.” Dribble said.
Alastor shook his head. “If the Butterfly Miraculous works how I think it does, couldn't have Gabriel done it as well? All he would need to do is to Akumatize Max, force him to shoot Toy Freddy, use Max to make a portal, and then kill Max as he is leaving.”
“...You have to be kidding me.” Gabriel said.
“No sh*t.” Dribble said. “But…you're forgetting two things.”
Select a Combo!
Max’s last known location + Humming Noise
---> Gabriel’s Personal Rules + Toy Freddy’s Answers
Max’s Answers + Monokuma File #3.1
“Firstly, Gabriel’s personal rules says that if he uses an Akuma or Senti-monster to kill someone, he is considered the killer. Toy Freddy knows this. And Toy Freddy said that his killer is not alive. If Max was an Akuma, he would have replied "yes”, given Gabriel is still alive.”
Alastor froze a little, his radio static getting louder.
“...A literal deer in headlights.” Gabriel remarked. “Your powers may be plenty and have a lot of use…but to force someone to take an innocent life, and then take the life of the person you forced…disgusting.”
“...I'm going to sum up the case now.” Dribble said when Gabriel got done talking.
Climatic Re-enactment!
Act 1:
“While I don't know exactly when this started, I'm willing to bet this started when the motive was announced. The killer, sensing an opportunity to return to his friends, decided to enact a devious plan. Fetching an angelic spear from the armory, he laid in wait for an opportunity to strike.”
Act 2:
“And that opportunity was Max taking aim at someone in the firing range. Alastor quickly used his powers to interfere with Max’s, causing his bullet to veer way off course and hit Toy Freddy. Naturally, Max was angry about this, and lashed out at Alastor.”
Act 3:
“Alastor retaliated by stabbing Max in the heart with the angelic spear, killing Max instantly. Realizing he would be f*cked if he got caught like this, he used his powers to teleport Max’s body to the flooded mess hall, and himself to nearby the others when the body announcement went off.”
Act 4:
“The killer failed to realize, however, that all of what he did made him even more guilty. His fate was sealed as soon as Holly got out her trusty spirit box to question the ghosts of those who he had killed. He just didn't know it.”
“Isn't that right Alastor, the Ultimate Radio Host?”
Break!
Gabriel sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “...you sick f*ck. All this for your damn friends?”
“...Dear.” Alastor began, the static in his voice now gone. “I am friends with very important people who need me. Namely…Charlie. The princess of hell. Without me, her hotel will fail. Not like that is a bad thing for me…but it's bad for all of hell. The hotel managed to get a sinner into heaven. We could end the exterminations. She needs me.”
“And killing is how you do it!?” Gabriel suddenly yelled. “All killing Toy Freddy and Max managed to do was doom that damn hotel, you idiot!”
“Gabriel!” Holly shouted. “Enough! Leave Alastor alone!”
“I wont leave him alone because he killed two of us and nearly killed the rest of us!” Gabriel shouted at Holly.
“ENOUGH!” Monokuma shouted. “Vote already, god damn!”
An awkward silence filled the room as everyone began to vote. Dribble casted a vote for Alastor, and waited for voting to finish.
“And that is all the votes! And…you all are correct! Alastor killed both Toy Freddy and Max!”
Gabriel huffed, and Holly elbowed him to keep him quiet.
“And that means it's PUNISHMENT TIME!” Monokuma grabbed his javel, and slammed it down onto the red button.
The familiar animation began to play on all the screens around.
‘ALASTOR HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY. TIME FOR THE PUNISHMENT!’
Alastor was grabbed by the same chain Heket and Bill were grabbed by, and was dragged off to god knows where.
The screens then turned on, showing the title of the execution. ‘The Final Broadcast.’
Alastor found himself trapped in a dark, abandoned radio station. The room was filled with old, broken equipment and dusty records. The atmosphere was eerie, with a faint sound of static in the background.
And then, Monokuma spoke up. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the grand finale of Alastor's radio show! Today, we have a special program prepared just for him. Let's begin, shall we?"
Alastor looked around, trying to find an exit, but the doors were sealed shut. He realized there is no escape. He was stuck. Trapped.
Monokuma spoke again. “Alastor, your voice has captivated millions in both life and in death, but now it's time to face the music. Literally!”
Suddenly, the room began to shake, and the walls started to close in. Alastor frantically tried to find a way out, but the space became smaller and smaller.
Monokuma spoke up once more. “It's time to play a game, Alastor. Can you sing your way out of this one?”
As the walls continued to close in, a spotlight shined on Alastor, and a microphone descended from above. The room transformed into a stage, complete with a live audience of Monokuma plushies.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let's give a warm welcome to our star performer, Alastor!” Monokuma announced.
Alastor realized he had no choice, and he took a deep breath and stepped onto the stage. The audience of Monokuma plushies cheered and clapped, their red eyes glowing in the darkness.
Monokuma spoke up “Now, Alastor, you must sing for your life! If you can impress our audience, you might just survive.”
Alastor started to sing, his voice distorted thanks to his effects on modern tech. However, as he does, the stage beneath him began to crumble, revealing a pit of spikes below.
“Oh, the pressure! Can Alastor hit the right notes and avoid a painful demise?” Monokuma taunted
Alastor continued to sing, his distorted voice echoing through the room. The audience of Monokuma plushies watched intently, their expressions shifting between excitement and anticipation.
But as Alastor reached the climax of his performance, the stage collapsed beneath him. He fell into the pit of angelic steel spikes, his voice abruptly silenced as his red blood began to pour out of his pierced body.
“And that's a wrap! Alastor's final broadcast! Thank you everyone!” Monokuma spoke.
Dribble sighed. He wasn't even sad anymore. He wasn't mad anymore. But he was disappointed. Disappointed that two people were killed, and one was executed. Disappointed that more senseless killing happened.
As everyone left the trial room, he began to think more. How many people would get killed? Would Dribble die? How would he die?
And as Dribble wound down for that night, his only thought was survival.
He would survive for Spitz. He would survive for his best friend.
‘For Spitz.’ He thought. ‘I will survive for Spitz.’
