As I walked up to my podium I couldn't believe we were doing this again. I then noticed that chikako's stand had her picture crossed out using what looked like syringes. Shinju walked up to her respective podium so the trial could start.
Monokuma started off the trial the same as always with the usual rule explanation, " welcome to the class trial! Here you may all present your arguments for who the culprit is. If you are correct the blackened shall be executed, but if you guess incorrectly, I'll exucuted everyone besides the blackened. Now we don't have all day so let's get the trial started!" The bear said as the trial started up.
"Well it's plan old common sense who did it. The only one who doesn't have a better talent than lucky, as in its chiyo." Ren said with a grin as he said this.
"How sure are you?" Responded gorou with a pissed off look on his face," I mean did you see what happened do you know exactly what happened?!"
Ren responded with, "Well who else could it have been? It couldn't have been anybody who was sick nor katsuo who wasn't in the room until after it had happened. The only one in the room and healthy enough to kill chikako."
"Hey, let's not point fingers just yet. Let's first go over everything starting with alibis." Shinju said as hoping that he would at least keep this trial going and allow some review over the clues they had found. She started to sweat as the room was silent until finally michi chimed in saying," of course, let's review the rules  and see if the killer turns out to be your friend, chiyo kato." He said with a wicked smile of his own which was creepy.
"W...well everyone w..who was um..... sick couldn't have done it." Tsubame said
"Yeah, we're quite aware of that dup-...." haruna caught herself and instead said, "idiot"
"So that leaves only a couple of characters to select from." Okaying said obviously referencing video games
"Anyway what is chiyo's alibi if she didn't commit the murder? Huh." Natsumi said, "she was right there when it happened. Also let's not forget nobody was in the room when it took place."
"Maybe, but that doesn't limit our suspect at all, but I think we should be talking about how the victim died instead of worrying about were everyone is." Shiro said in his calm voice. He was right, we didn't know how the victim died but we assumed how they died.
"Uhhhh, fine.... cause of death was knife wound to the chest." Ren said
"Yeah, but how are you so certain?" Asked Atsuko
"The mono file stated that there was a knife wound so it was obviously the cause of death-" as he said that I interrupted ren saying," No! Your wrong! If you remember the cause of death is unknown so it's possible that chikako died another way or by some other means."
"Hmmm, very well. I agree that it is possible but is it likely that something else could have happened." Michi said with a smile, "remember this is a game of strategy, one false move or one false accusation and we could end up losing this game." This time his face was dark and serious.
"Well- um...." I couldn't respond what else could be the cause of death? My mind went blank and I was flown into panic.
"Well it appears our little dancer doesn't know the answer so maybe a little heartwarming talk about that?"
Michi nodded
I continued to think when suddenly I remembered a clue that I had found, the half empty bottle of what I would guess was poison. I slightly cleared my throat like I've seen on tv when someone wants to get everyone's attention. Once everyone turned to me Michi said, "do you have an idea of what else it could have been?"
I responded with," yes, another possibility would be, poison!" As I said it they all stared in silence so I continued," me and haruna found a half empty bottle of an unnamed substance on the table in the pharmacy area. If I'm correct it's possible for the cause to be poison!" I didn't know why I was shouting but it seemed to be getting my point across pretty well.
Natsumi looked confused like she had never thought about someone actually being poisoned to death. Ren just looked at them before saying,"maybe but without actually proof I'm afra-" He was cut short by monokuma as monokuma announced," the results are in." He handed a sheet to Haruna who looked at it," hmm, appears that the bottle was a type of poison." She stared at ren and Michi.
Michi simply smiled," okay so what? Someone would have had to be in the room or have entered sometime before 7."
"Well that would be me, Michi, chiyo, shiro, atsuko and Conor." Katsuo said
All of a sudden I noticed something out of the ordinary, Conor's head was down and it seemed as though he was chuckling to himself . He looked up with a blood curdling smile, eyes full of blood shed and blood lust and his eye patch on the podium which reveled a black pit where his eye would be with a red star inside it.
"So which one of us had something that could have poisoned her?" This new version of Conor said.
"What the Hell?!" Hinata said, everyone else was also clearly shocked by his new personality all of a sudden.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot to introduce myself, I'm the "real" daku. People, such as Conor like to call me the ultimate spirit." He smiled even wider
"Well, this was unexpected? However, do you know anything about this cause con- I mean daku." Shiro said
Catching himself as he said it.
"Well who could have done it?" Daku repeated with a grin.
Well who could have poisoned chikako if that was the cause of death, I thought to myself but couldn't come up with the answer.
"Oh, I just remembered something." Chiyo said placing a finger up to her mouth, " I remember Michi coming in with a glass of water, right katsuo?"
Katsuo stared at her before responding," yes that is very true"
I finally understood where the poison was and with a little help from haruna I I could prove it. "Hey Haruna? You still have that report right?" I asked knowing that she still had it.
She rolled her eyes and said," uhhh, fine, yes. Why did you want to know? You knew I already had it" She then mumbled something under her breath but I couldn't hear what she said. I then continued with what I wanted to ask, "so did it say anything about the cup?"
"Hmm, it says there was something other than water in the cup." She said not amused
All the pieces fell into place, the chess pieces made sense to me now. I looked at everyone as Daku stared at me.
"Hmm, seems like your all out of time." He said as he held a knife in his hand. He smiled and then said, it seems you cant figure out who it is, even if there was something else in that cup it could have been something other than poison."
"NO, THATS WRONG! I've figured out how this all happened." I smiled as daku's face turned to shock. His expression soon went back to his smile and said,"then explain shall you?" He stared at me, everyone stared at me.
"First, the killer walked into the Medical ward, this was after I had fallen ill and can only assume it was the day I woke up. The killer poured the liquid into the glass way before the time of death and made his way to my room were chikako was also. They then headed over to the slaughter room for the machete so they could cut the wires. At this point chikako had already digested the poison and was already dying. The killer found out about Conor's split personality maybe from the first case we solved and used him to spy on chikako. Once chikako started to choke and suffocate Conor left and told our killer who shut the lights down so nobody knew what was going on. He would have known about the knife that I told chiyo to grab thanks to Daku which gave him a strong alibi and someone to easily frame. When the lights went on he rushed through the secret passage which I found leading from the north hall to the west hall. To make it more of a challenge on himself he left a black king by the passage and before he left after the body discovery, he had left a blood stained queen. You've lost Michi Yamamoto, the ultimate chess champion!" I said pointing to the shocked and unshavened Michi.
He smiled and then said,"lost? He.... hehehehe. You don't know the meaning of lost. Lost is when you give up and sadly I have yet to do that so without further to do. MONOKUMA, I CHALLENGE YOU TO A CHESS MATCH FOR MY LIFE!" Monokuma stared at him and then his grin widened, "puhuhuhu~ well I guess that fair." His eye flashed red and then the tarot cards appeared on the screen. Chikako, sora and Naoko's Pixar's were gray as the 16 cards were put into a stack and shuffled out monokuma flipped one revealing Michi's sprite with the words congratulations under it.
Monokuma pressed his red button and the execution started.....
