| Chihiro Fujisaki *Waiting* |
Just yesterday, things couldn't have been any better.
Just yesterday, we made a promise.
Just yesterday, we had exchanged secrets...
...Secrets of love.
But now, here you are. I'm staring up at you, into your empty eyes. Fear still etched into your now unmoving face.
Beautiful memories of what was once ours filling my mind. Already I missed your smile, your laugh. That sparkle of joy that used to shine in your eyes. Something I would never see again. All I had now was my imagination to help bring you to life in the back of my eyes.
Now I stay here, in the land of the living, until the day finally arrives when I can see you again and fulfill my promise.

She - or should I say he - blushed slightly, eyes plastered to the ground.
"You're a, guy?" I inquired hesitantly, hoping I hadn't misheard him.
"Yeah. I'm sorry for not telling you sooner." he apologised, tears welling in his eyes.
"That's nothing to apologise for. In fact I'm glad you told me." I smiled reassuringly at Chihiro. My best friend. If it hadn't have been for this messed up killing game, we might never have met at all.
"Really?" Chihiro beamed up at me. That precious smile plastered on his face, eyes glimmering with joy.
"If you don't mind me asking, do you plan on telling anyone else about this?"
"Oh, well yeah of course. But, I want to become stronger. The only real reason why I dress up like a girl, is because I'm so weak. I was always mistaken as a girl. So, once I become stronger, then I can tell everyone who I really am." the programmer explained enthusiastically.
I chuckled slightly. "I'm proud of you Chihiro."
Chihiro blushed, shyly embracing me in a hug. "Thank you so much (y/n)!"
Another day had passed and luckily no one had been found dead for a second time. We'd already lost three classmates and I didn't want to lose another. Even after Monokuma's motive yesterday, I couldn't imagine anyone murdering someone over a secret. But then again, Byakuya is probably right. You can't just compare other people's (morals or values was it?? i can't remember :/) to our own.
I woke up to another prerecorded wake up call by Monokuma. It was even more annoying than my alarm clock at home. I quickly got ready for breakfast and headed for the door. As I opened my door however, I noticed Chihiro standing right in front of it. His hand up in the air pointing at the wall, as if considering on whether or not he should ring the doorbell. He jumped back as soon as he saw me behind the door, smiling shyly.
"Good morning Chihiro!" I greeted warmly.
"Oh! Good morning (y/n). Can I come in a second?" he asked quietly.
"Yeah of course." I opened the door wider and stood to the side, letting him in. I shut the door behind him and followed Chihiro over to where he sat on my bed.
"Sorry to bother you again (y/n)." Chihiro squeaked, fiddling with his fingers.
"Oh, no that's okay. Nothing to be sorry about. What was it you wanted to tell me anyway?" I soothed sitting beside him.
"W-well...I was just thinking...and you don't have to if you don't want to! But, do you...maybe...want to g-go out...with me?" Chihiro asked, smiling meekly. Although his eyes shone with worry.
My heart almost beat out my chest at his adorably shy question. "I'd love to." I answered happily, beaming up at him.
"Really?! Thank you!" Chihiro exclaimed almost jumping on top of me as he hugged me, nuzzling his face into my neck. I returned the gesture being unable to hide my smile.
We pulled away smiling at each other. "Tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock, I'll meet you near the library. If that's okay...?"
"That's fine with me." I giggled.
"You promise you'll be there waiting for me?"
"Promise."
Chihiro suddenly jumped up and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the door. Joy was written across his face, accompanied by flustered cheeks.
"Come on (y/n). Let's go to breakfast."
That day didn't fly by fast enough. We were both eagerly excited for our date. Once the nighttime announcement rang throughout the building, I lay restlessly in bed. Unable to keep still for longer than a minute. My stomach fluttered with nervous and excited butterflies. Until finally, hours later, I fell into a deep sleep.

Monokuma's awfully cheery voice greeted me for an early start to another day. Except...It wasn't his usual prerecorded wake up call.
"Good morning!" my eyes shot open, only to come face to face with that dreaded bear. I couldn't help but let out a small shriek of surprise, rolling away from the bear and landing on the floor with a huge thump. "Phuhu. Nice reaction there (y/n)! Glad to see you didn't disappoint."
"What the hell are you doing in my room?" I grumbled, rubbing my head.
"I wanted to spice things up, that's all! So instead of a school announcement, I decided to wake you up in person."
"Why??"
"Because it's fun." Monokuma did a little twirl on my bed before continuing, "And as long as I'm here, I figured I'd let you hear right from the bear's mouth."
"Hear what?" I inquired, my heartbeat already racing in fear of what he might say next.
"Are ya sure you should be acting this laid back? I mean, even though something happened to one of your lil buddy-buddy classmates?"
"W-what...?" Monokuma laughed and continued to patronise me, but my head was spinning with horrible thoughts, my surroundings seemed to blur together. Memories of Sayaka's body laying in Makoto's shower, blood covering the walls and her pretty, porcelain face invaded my vision. Junko being struck by many spears before falling to the floor, blood seeping everywhere. Leon's body strapped to pole being belted with hundreds of baseballs, the life slowly draining from his eyes...
Panic took over my body, I don't know how long I was siting there for. But when I finally came to my senses, Monokuma was gone and the dreaded, cheery sound of the body discovery announcement filled my ears. Suddenly I was up on my feet, hurrying over to the door, not bothering to close it behind me as I sprinted down the hallway.
In my rush to find out who had met their terrible fate, I ran into a disturbed moral compass. "(y-y/n)!" he stuttered, his face as pale as a sheet, "I-in the...boys changing room...Murdered...Gotta tell the...others" Kiyotaka quickly ran off down the hall.
My heart began to beat faster in fear of what I was going to find. But nevertheless, I carried on with unsteady legs up the staircase to the second floor. With each step I took, my stomach started to twist anxiously. Until finally I arrived at the door to the pool. Just one more door behind this and then...
I hoped with all of my might that it would not be Chihiro's corpse left in a pool of his own blood. With a sweaty hand, I shakily reached out to open the blue door. From there I could see the boys changing room door had been left ajar. My stomach almost leapt out of my mouth from the smell of fresh blood. I covered my mouth with a sweaty hand, slowly stumbling over to the room's entrance.
The moment I stood in the doorway, my gaze traveled from Makoto, to Byakuya to his corpse. I let out a scream, dripping with despair. My tear ducts already creating a waterfall of salty sorrow. I staggered forward, falling on my knees in front of his strung-up body.
I stared up at him. I should've been completely upset, distraught...
I still am.
But somehow I stifled a small laugh. A thought occurred to me that tickled my funny bone at such a depressing moment.
I promised him that I'd be there waiting for him.
But he never promised me.
