Ok, so, here are some personal headcanons that I see these characters having^^ (Also, I do NOT hate Hifumi. He's not my favorite though? He didn't actually do anything too bad in canon - that I know of, I could be wrong - he was just a little strange and had a bit of a lack of a filter. Otherwise though, I feel the same about him as I do Mineta from MHA: I love the character design but dislike that a good chunk of their personality is pervy. Don't get me wrong though, Mineta is A LOT worse than Hifumi. Also, the only thing that I really, really, really wish Hifumi hadn't done in canon is argue with Ishida over Alter Ego. In fact, none of the characters handled the Taka/Ishida situation really well and that's very unfortunate. Also! Genocider Syo isn't going to be a perverted murderer in this! She's more of a protecter! In that she protects Toko. Syo is also the Ultimate Writer. ANYWAYS IMMA STOP RAMBLING NOW AND GET ON WITH IT SORRYXBDKALA,,
(These are Non-Despair AU btw)

Makoto:

- Sleeps with stuffed animals on his bed. He has a bear that he loves a lot that's missing an eye.
- He's surprisingly hard on himself. He probably can get really self-deprecating at times and it really throws others off.
- Has crushed on nearly everyone in Hope's Peak. Everyone in his school is just,, so pretty?? He can't help it.
- He has adhd. I do not make the rules.

Kyoko:

- Considers Makoto her closest friend/is crushing hard on him - depends on the one-shot because I ship Naegiri and Naeleon both a lot,,,
- Can be surprisingly dorky/cute once she opens up to you
- Probably listens to classical music
- Here and Taka are surprisingly close friends (JUST LET ME HAVE THIS PLEASE)

Leon:

- This dude has big anxiety issues. I'd like to say he takes meds for it or at least sees a therapist, but this boy is probably not doing either of these things out of fear of it "messing up his image"
- Absolutely despises baseball. Like, he cannot stand the sport at all.
- Loves cuddles. Please give this boy a hug,,
- Very openly bisexual,,

Sayaka:

- Also very anxious! She's just better at hiding it and is actually taking anxiety meds!
- Also bisexual as hell, but is hiding it because fans can be really cruel.
- She just really loves singing and her fans. She will never refuse a selfie or autograph (unless the person is a creep or something like that)
- She can cook really well. Like, have you tried her ragú?? /hj

Taka:

- This man is a homosexual. He's not really trying to hide it, but he's also not really shouting it from the rooftops y'know. He knows how being gay will affect his chances at becoming Prime Minister and he's willing to fight to change that.
- He overheats A LOT. Like, to a point where Everyone sees him and they're just like Taka are you ok your face is really red please drink some water—
- He's got autism. He's definitely on the high-functioning side though, and is pretty self-sufficient. He just,, really doesn't understand other people, like, all of the time.
- Signs his texts. Again, I do not make the rules.

Mondo:

- My god this man gives the best hugs
- He also has adhd. He just,, is real fidgety and social skills are tough,,
- He's working real hard to get over his temper. Taka really helps with that.
- Taka is the closest friend he's ever had

(Real quick Ishimondo headcanon: The two can't pick out an exact moment when they became "more than friends" they probably felt that way the entire time and it just felt right to them to become a couple)

Chihiro:

- I,, am ok with all Chihiro gender headcanons. I'm not particularly picky about it and I'm not gonna argue with people over it. All Chihiro gender headcanons are valid as hell. I'll be call Chihiro by they/them pronouns though because that's my favorite of the bunch^^
- Curses a lot. Chihiro is the "looks like a cinnamon roll, could kill you" type.
- Working out with Mondo didn't necessarily change their physic too much (metabolism, amirite,,) but that just means they can take people by surprise and they absolutely relish in that fact.
- Looks like their favorite game genre would be something soft like Pokémon or Animal Crossing (which they love both of those games a lot) but they really like first person shooters like CoD and horror games like Resident Evil

Hiro:

- Not a stoner!! I don't like the stoner Hiro headcanon and I don't wanna use that when I write him. I just think he's a loveable idiot uncle.
- Gives the second-best hugs in class 78
- Studies with Taka. He's doing his best, things are just, hard for him to understand.
- He's a really good baker! He makes killer brownies and blondies!! (not pot brownies. He doesn't lace his baked goods. Hiro said drugs dni lmao)

Sakura:

- Definitely the mom friend. She takes care of class 78
- She loves cute things and this usually surprises a lot of people.
- Gosh,, she just loves flowy dresses. She's a lil self-conscious about wearing them though, she has an image to keep up as the Ultimate Fighter. (I said Sakura in cute dresses rights!)
- She,, really likes flowers and tea. I just think she's really pretty 🥺 that is all.

Aoi:

- She loves donuts so much because they remind her of good times and family
- She knows how to make some bomb-ass donuts herself and sometimes makes cute ones for Sakura (can be taken as friendship or ship. I personally love Sakuraoi)
- Probably opens a tea shop/bakery with Sakura when they're adults
- She loves pickleball!! It's one of her favorite sports (besides swimming of course)!

Celeste:

- Hates playing games against ai. She's convinced that their cheating and gets so frustrated that it's funny
- She's secretly a good person, deep down. At least, towards class 78 anyways. She'll never admit it, but She considers her classmates family
- She legally changes her name to Celestia Ludenburg as soon as she turns 18
- Somewhere around the end of their first year at Hope's Peak, Celeste begins opening up to class 78

Hifumi:

- Has drawn all of his classmates as "masterminds"
- He thinks Mastermind Kiyotaka is really neat
- Taka actually convinces him to exercise more and the two go on daily runs
- I've decided that he doesn't get pervert rights. Hifumi's just a normal dude who loves fanfic in my mind. I'm leaving him exactly the same, just removing the part that give fanfic writers/manga creators a bad name and makes me uncomfortable. I actually liked Hifumi's character and I feel like he could have been this loveable and interesting character but for some reason, a lot of manga and anime has "that one comic relief pervert" trope and I dislike it.

Byakuya:

- Sees class 78 as family and will take it to his grave
- Byakuya spending money on stupid stuff for class 78 is my lifeblood
- Throughout his Hope's Peak years, he learns to be a better person. His douche-y persona kinda starts to fade away after time
- This idiot has a big crush on Naegi. Period. Whether or not Naegi returns it depends on how I'm feeling lmao

Toko:

- Her and Taka become good friends. I just think it'd be neat. They like discussing literature together. Also, he could be helping her with her stutter.
- Class 78 begins smothering her in affection until she unlearns the self-deprecation. Periodt.
- She eventually learns to get over Byakuya and calls him a douche to his face (which begins his journey of realizing that he needs to stop being a jerk)
- Genocider Syo is a terrible representation of DID and I'm rewriting them to be a better example. Syo fronts when she feels Toko is in danger, Toko sees blood, or Toko gets splashed with water. Toko comes back when Syo decides things are better.

Mukuro:

- She idolizes her sister (Not in an incestuous way that's gross) and can't bring herself to get free from Junko
- Class 78 eventually convinces her that she deserves better and she cuts ties with Junko.
- She listens to rock and is a big fan of Leon's music. She's also a big Sayaker though,,
- Big crushes on Makoto AND Sayaka (I said Sayakuro rights!!)

Junko:

- A big jerk. Probably ends up in jail.
- Always attempts to trick her classmates into despair
- Convinced Mukuro that she no one except Junko herself loved her
- I dislike Junko as a human being. She is a really neat bad guy though! I think she knows just what to say to lower your walls before attacking you while you're vulnerable
