Once summer, now fall, the town was alight with festivity. Crinkly red and orange leaves filled the streets, flowing in the new autumn breeze.

The shops were now decorated with new festive colors. Beautiful gold lettering was put on the banners and posters for more appeal.

Scents such as Pumpkin spice and cinnamon wafted in the bakery's and offices as the streets were lined with carved pumpkins and hay bales for the occasion.

It was a few days until Halloween and you were pepped up. You were filled with the holiday spirit and couldn't wait to hang out with your friends.

As you walked down the street, you saw grape panta flavored oreo's. You gagged at the sight but you thought maybe Ouma would like it.

After you bought it, you headed to Angie's house, where everyone was meeting to discuss plans for the big Halloween party.

Angie's house was a two-story house. She liked to decorate it to the max. When you entered, you were hit with a wave of artistic nostalgia.

By the front door was a wooden table with a bowl of glittery orange,red, and brown balls. The plates were white with accents of gold and green and the cups were clear, gold decorating the rim.

Also there were candles. Cinnamon.scented. candles.

The counter by the kitchen had two carved pumpkins that had a happy face and the other had a scary face. Their stems were laced with sparkly black ribbon.

Fake spiderwebs were everywhere with little purple fake spiders in them. It kinda creeped you out but it was cool. On a little table was a punch bowl with Green looking liquid in it. Also there was assorted fruit.

Also, by the doorway was a huge spiral staircase that goes to the second floor, decorated with orange and black sparkly garland.

Also she has God paintings wearing flower crowns all over her house. (This needs to be canon)

She always goes all out for holidays.

"Y/N! You made it!" Angie appeared in front of you and gave you a big hug.

"Of course I did silly! Why wouldn't I?" You laughed a bit and patted her on the back.

Angie pulled away. "I knew you would show up, I just kinda worried. Anyway! The others are in the living room past the kitchen! Make yourself as home bestie!" She smiled and walked upstairs.

You smiled and walked towards the living room, bag in hand. You saw Tenko, Gonta,Kaito,Saihara, Kaede, Yumeno,Maki, and Ouma.

"Hey guys!" You waved to them.

"Hey Y/N! Glad you could make it!" Kaede gave you a hug.

"Awesome! I'm so glad you are here!" Tenko smiled.

Ouma looked at the bag in your hands curiously.

"What's that?"

You widened your eyes. "Oh this? Oh yeah! It's for you!" You handed it to Ouma. "I saw it and thought you might like them."

Ouma gave a huge toothy grin when he saw the oreos. "Wow! Grape Panta flavored Oreos! You're the best Y/N! Thanks!" He gave you a hug.

You blushed a bit as you returned the hug. You had a secret crush on him and only Angie and Kaede knew. Tenko had her suspiscions that you wouldn't confirm.

"Of course Ouma. Enjoy them."

Kaito pouted. "Aww you didn't give anything to us!"

You laughed at Kaito's childish act. "Sorry Kaito. But I'll make you all a pumpkin pie for the Halloween party."

Kaito smiled. "Yess I love your pumpkin pie Y/N!"

You smiled. You made the best pumpkin pie. Kaito always begged for it every year and you always delivered. Even though one time you put wasabi in it on April Fools Day. You laughed so hard that day.

"Heyyy guys!!!" Angie's voice rang out as she walked into the room.

"Heyy Angie." Yumeno waved.

"Hey! Anyway guys, I'm glad you could come! Now we all are the party planners for the Halloween party. So who's gonna do food?"

"I will." You said.

"Yeah I'll cook too." Saihara said.

"Alright. Kaede, will you be in charge of music?"

"Of course Angie. It would be my pleasure."

Angie smiled. "Awesomeee! Kaito and Maki, and Ouma could you prank the people that come? We need some spooky excitement!"

Kaito and Maki nodded.

"This is gonna be fun."

"Yeah."

"Gonna spook some kids."

Angie's head turned to (our precious cinnamon rolls) Tenko and Gonta.

"Gonta and Tenko, you are both doing separate shows for the audience to keep them entertained. Make sure to keep it spooky but your own personal coolness."

"Ok! Got it Angie!"

"Alright!"

They both looked excited.

Everyone went home, pepped up for the party.

You however, were excited for a different reason.

As soon as you got home, you got a piece of pretty card stock and a gold sharpie. You were going to write your feelings on the piece of paper about Ouma. You might not give it to him, but it was good to get the feelings off your chest.

"Whew. Glad I'm done with that." You folded it up and put it in an Envelope with a heart sticker on it.

You took a deep breath and put it on your desk.

"Maybe I'll give it to him before the party starts." You nodded to yourself.

{The next day}

You walked around the town, picking up ingredients for your desserts and food you were going to make for the party.

As you walked around looking for the vanilla, a question struck your mind.

What am I going to be for Halloween?

You thought about it before but then forgot. You had to decide quick.

Hmm..I will be a cute kitty cat for Halloween.

You shrugged and finished your shopping.

As you walked home, you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket, a lot.

Gosh what is that? Probably Kaito ranting about his recent life problems to me again.

You rolled your eyes playfully as you walked home.

Throwing your keys into the basket, you plopped onto your couch and got out your phone.

Your phones was spammed with texts from Angie.

FaceTime me!

You sighed and FaceTimed her. She picked up immediately.

"Y/N!!!"

"Yeah? What is it Angie?"

"Omg Y/N. ok ok..uh I"

"Angie, calm down."

"Ok..ok..I'm calm. I'm not calm!!! Something horrible has just happened!"

"What is it? Something about the party?"

"No..something else. Promise not to get mad!"

"Of course not Angie. I could never get mad at you."

"Ok. Well, Ouma.....asked me out. He said he wanted to have our first date at the party..."

You were silent. Disappointment and sadness washed over you.

"What..did you say?"

"Y/N, of course I said no! I wouldn't betray you like that!"

"Angie, did you like him?"

"Y/N, I have feelings for someone else. I don't have feelings for Ouma. Not the slightest."

"Ok. Wait you have feelings for someone else?"

"Let's not go there Y/N. Anyway, are you ok?"

"No.....I just thought maybe I had a chance with him." Tears welled up in your eyes.

"Y/N! Don't cry! Come over to my house! I have f/f ice cream!!! I have tissues and you have someone to talk to! Me!"

You sniffed and nodded. You hung up and walked to Angie's house.

As soon as you got there, Angie gave you a big hug. "I'm so sorry Y/N for what happened!"

You cried onto her shoulder.

You two talked and ate ice cream for the whole day. Trying to cheer you up was hard but eventually Angie made it work. I mean, she's Angie for god's sake.

"Y/N. You still have a chance. He's getting over me so maybe you can still confess?"

"Maybe. I did write a love letter."

"Oh wow you did?"

"Yeah. Here it is." You handed her the envelope.

"Well I don't want to invade your personal feelings for him so I won't read it. But that's so cool! You neeeeeed to give it to him!!"

"But when?"

"Before the party starts of course!

"Alright. Thanks Angie. Oh by the way what are you gonna be for Halloween?"

Angie's face lit up. "I'm gonna be an angel!!"

"Of course you are."

"What are you gonna be?"

"I was thinking like a cat or something maybe?"

Angie gasped. "That's it? Seriously, we need to go costume shopping!!"

"There's really no nee-whoa!" You got dragged by Angie all the way to the costume shop.

Eventually you both decided you would cosplay as Nagisa from assassination classroom.

"Good idea Angie! I loveeeee assassination classroom."

"Of course Y/N! Anything for you!"

You walked home by yourself, holding your costume and feelings confident.

{The next day}

It was Halloween. October 31st. They day of confession. While you cooked, nervousness creeped up along your spine.

He's probably going to say no. But I'm going to try anyway!

You gave yourself a bit of determination and smiled.

{Timeskip to party time}

You put on your Nagisa cosplay and packed your food and headed to Angie's.

The party started at 8. You got there at 7:30.

"Heyyyy Angie! I got the food!"

Angie rushed over and helped you carry it. "Oh thanks for cooking all this Y/N, it means a lot! Plus I know your cooking is always good!"

"Thanks Angie, glad to help!"

"Ohhh is that pumpkin pie I smelll?" Kaito tried to reach for it but you swatted his hand away. "No Kaito just wait." You eyed him as you walked to the kitchen.

You set everything down and sighed.

"Alrighty thank you Y/N! I can set this up by myself."

"Don't you want me to help you?"

"Nah, plus you got...some stuff to do." She winked and set up the food.

She's right. And I got the lettter right here.

You felt the letter in your pocket. Now it was just time to find Ouma.

Where is he?

You looked for him but he wasn't anywhere in sight.

You saw almost everyone else but him.

"Boo!"

"Ahh!" You screamed.

"Haha!" Ouma laughed.

"Oh my gosh Ouma! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" You clutched your chest.

You gave me a heart attack In so many ways.

"I really scared you huh? Nishishishishi..."

"Yeah you did." You blushed, remembering the letter.

"Anyway I'm glad I'm spooky. It's gonna be fun scaring people." He gave a devilish smirk.

You almost didn't notice it because he scared you but he was wearing a karma cosplay.

"Nice Nagisa cosplay."

"Nice Karma cosplay."

You two looked at each other, smiling.

"That's so awesome! We can be best buddies!"

"Oh yeah...best buddies!"

He hugged you and walked away.

"Darn it. Didn't give him the note."

You catches up to him and stopped him.

"What's wrong Y/N?"

"Here!Take it!" You gave him the love letter and ran off. Faster than lightning. You ran to the kitchen and sat on the floor.

"Did you give it to him?" Angie said, crouching down beside you.

"Yeah. I'm really nervous..."

"Don't be! I have to go entertain my guests so your going to have to face him sometime." She grabbed your hands. "Good luck!" Then she walked away, out of sight.

You sighed and leaned your head on the cabinet.

After a while, you got up and looked around, you didn't see Ouma so that was good.

You walked around a bit. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Some people were even kidding and dancing together.

I wish that could be me and Ouma.

Ouma POV

"Here take it!" Y/N ran off, giving me an envelope.

"What's this?" I said.

I ripped open the envelope to see a note.

Dear Ouma,

I want to say this before it's too late. I love you. You are nice and charming. Always helping me when I need it. You are funny and amazing to hang out with. You always brighten my day and have fun with me. You understand me.

I love when we game together. You always beat me but it's always fun being together. With you.

I love when we go shopping for Panta. You always find something Panta flavored and add it to my cart without me noticing.

I love you Ouma. I want to know more about you and be there for you.

"Y/N..."

I didn't know she/he felt that way about me..here I was trying to get over Angie when I could've hung out with her/him . A person who loves me. I need to find her/him.

Normal POV

You still couldn't find Ouma. He was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey Y/N. Ouma wanted me to give this to you." Angie said, smiling.

It was a note.

Meet me in the backyard. I'll be waiting.

Angie gave you a push. "Gooooo. Go get your dream guy!"

You smiled. "Thank you Angie." You gave her a quick hug and then ran off.

You opened the door to the backyard and stepped onto the patio.

"Ouma?" You called out, you could even see your breath as you spoke.

"Boo." He came out of the shadows.

"Ouma. Hi." You said awkwardly.

"Hey." He came up to you and gave you a hug.

"I didn't know you felt that way about me Y/N."

"I do Ouma. I have for a long time."

He smiled and leaned in. He kissed you on the lips and then pulled away.

"I'm sorry I made you wait this long."

"Don't worry. It was worth the wait."

You both embraced under the cold and starry night.

Angie POV

"Thank you Angie!" Y/N gave me a hug and then ran off.

I should have told she/he how I felt...I guess it's too late.

Tears welled up in Angie's eyes.

"I love you Y/N." She whispered, but she was already too late.
