"Miss Y/N. Could you answer the question for me?" The instructor asked, rapping his fingers on the desk. The whole class's eyes were on you.

"Um..." You stared at the board blankly. The words swirled around in your head.

"It's 94." The girl beside you whispered.

"Uh 94?" You said in a abnormally high pitched voice.

The instructor widened his eyes and nodded impressively.

"Good job Miss Y/N. I'm very impressed. You have never paid attention in class before."

The class snickered as you lowered your head.

You noticed out of the corner of your eye that the blonde girl was looking at you.

"Why are you staring at me?" You inquired, glaring at her.

"O-oh I'm sorry. I just feel bad for you is all."

"I don't need your pity." You whispered, turning away.

Kaede frowned as you turned away from her. You were definitely interesting to her and she wanted to be your friend.

Time went by and you finished your classes for the day. You decided to take a stroll around campus.

The breeze made you shiver, as you had only a t-shirt on.

You felt something warm wrap around your neck.

"Huh?" You turned around, only to see the oh so familiar blonde from class.

"H-hey Y/N. I'm sorry for staring at you earlier..and for surprising you. But you looked cold..so I guess this is an apology." She stuttered.

You touched the soft pink scarf with music notes on it.

You suddenly felt something warm in you.

"Thank you Kaede." You turned away, speedily walking back to your dorm.

Kaede looked inquisitively at you.

Why did she run away? Maybe she is just shy. She is sure to warm up to me soon.

You breathed heavily into the cold air.

"Why in the heck did I run? I'm an idiot."

To this day you can feel emotions but it's still hard to express them...

You shut the door behind you as you entered your dorm room.

"Hey Y/N. Love the scarf...wait isn't that Kaede's??" Your roommate, Tenko asked.

"Yeah..it is. She gave it to me. I probably should give it back tomorrow though."

You felt that same feeling in your stomach.

Tenko widened her eyes.

"What wrong?" You titled your head.

"Y-you were smiling. You were actually smiling!" Tenko said in awe.

"W-what?!"

I smiled? I was thinking about that Kaede girl....this..is amazing!

You went to the mirror and smiled.

"I...actually look nice when I smile." You whispered to yourself.

"You do. I'm so happy for you Y/N."

"Thanks." You were so happy you felt like crying.

You couldn't stop smiling.

(Next day)

"Hey Kaede." You touched the blonde's shoulder.

"Yes Y/N?" She turned around, giving you a gorgeous smile.

"U-uh here is your scarf back. Sorry that I ran off so quickly...but thanks for lending me the scarf. I appreciate it." You gave her a heartfelt smile.

Kaede seemed to freeze up. She blushed and nodded before running away like a penguin.

She's..cute

You blushed at the thought.

I've never felt this way about anyone else before...

(Next day)

You felt a presence behind you. You turned around, curious.

"Hey Y/N!" Kaede gave you a hug.

You blushed crimson red.

You loved hugs.

Even thought you wouldn't admit it.

Kaede pulled away and widened her eyes.

"O-oh did I squeeze a little too hard? Your face is red!"

"Uh...no I'm fine. Just a little flustered is all."

"Oh well good. Hope you like hugs. I'll be giving you a lot of them!" She waved before skipping off.

You smiled.

You loved her.

Two weeks went by. You spent time together in your free periods. She kept her word and gave you a lot of hugs, which you liked.

You wanted to confess. But you were worried that she wouldn't feel the same way and think you were a pain.

You were walking around when you heard a lovely tune.

It sounded like piano.

You crept to the door that was cracked and listened in.

It was beautiful and soothing. You were curious to who was playing the gorgeous piano tune.

"Ah! Kaede!?" You whispered before covering your mouth.

Apparently she didn't hear you because the music didn't stop.

You uncovered your mouth and crept in.

She stopped playing and sighed.

You wrapped your hands around her in an embrace.

"H-huh?!" Kaede leaned her head back and sighed in relief as she saw you.

"Hey Y/N..what are you doi-"

"Shh...don't question it." You said as you stroked her hair.

"...If you wanted to cuddle you could've just asked." She whispered.

You blushed.

"Kaede...do you like me too?"

"Of course. I've been giving you hints all week." She said teasingly.

"W-what?!"

"Mhm." She giggled.

"Ah..I'm dumb."

"No you're not. You're my girlfriend." She gave you a peck on the cheek.

"Yeah..I am." You rested your head on her shoulder.

"Love you Kaede."

"Love you Y/N."

"Are you sure you should be eating this much sugar?" Kaede inquired, watching you take a handful of candy and stuff your face.

"I'll be fine. We have a week off. I'm surprised you haven't indulged yourself."

"It's just...I'm not a big eater. But I don't mind eating some candy." She admitted, snuggling up to you.

"Let's start the movie." You clicked the button on the remote and the movie started.

Kaede and you cuddled under the blanket and eventually fell asleep in each other's arms.
