Sunflowers mean admiration. My admiration for you will never cease.

"GG?" You whispered out loud as you looked at the beautiful bouquet of sunflowers in your hand.

You put it in a huge vase you had on the dining table.

Why would someone like me? I'm not very special. I'm not pretty, not the smartest, and my personality isn't very unique.

You shrugged as you raced to your room to get ready for school. You put on a black shirt with your favorite fandom's name on it and some leggings with your plaid jacket tied around your waist.

You looked at yourself in the mirror. Even though you hated it. You hated looking at yourself. You didn't feel pretty or even nice looking.

The outfit is cute..but not on me.

You sighed as you got your backpack and slung it over your shoulder. You lived close to the school, so you walked there.

You passed a few shops, the flower shop catching your eye, reminding you of your admirer.

I wonder who it is? GG?

You sighed into the cold fall air.

(At class)

Class was easy. I wrote down notes until the bell rang, and we went to lunch. I was leaving the school building when I bumped into someone.

"Ah!"

"Gonta is so sorry! He will make this right! Here!" He held out a hand.

You grabbed it as he pulled you up.

"Thanks." You smiled at him.

You suddenly realized he was a huge guy, towering over your small body.

"Ah! Geez..you're...tall." You chuckled nervously.

"Sorry. Gonta looks harmful but he can't even hurt a fly." He waved his hands reassuringly.

"Are you a student? I never see you around."

"Yes. Gonta is student. You haven't noticed Gonta? Gonta notices you." He smiled.

You suddenly realized in your head. Maybe it was the infamous "gg".

"What is your name?"

"Gonta Gokuhara. Nice to meet you finally." He shook your hand vigorously and then waved his hand goodbye.

"Bye Y/N!"

"G-Gonta Gokuhara?" You whispered.

Gg.

You walked back home, thinking about the intimidating looking guy.

He likes me? What is there to like? He's so handsome and nice. If he dated me, he would be disappointed.

You shook your head and continued to walk home.

(Next morning)
It was a Saturday and your mother's birthday.

You had decided to pick up some flowers for her. From the flower shop.

You saw a bouquet on the table.

Red tulips mean undying love. I think you are amazing Y/N. Don't ever forget that.

I'm not amazing..I'm ugly and nothing. I don't deserve this.

A few tears ran down your cheeks. You hastily wiped them away.

"Now. Time to get some flowers for my mom!" You locked the door behind you as you headed towards the flower shop.

The flower shop was called "Despair Dahlias." It was known best for it's award winning Dahlias but they had other flowers too.

The bell rung as you entered. The shop was truly amazing. The flowers were well kept and beautiful.

"Could I help you ma'm?" A voice asked.

You turned around to see Gonta Gokuhara.

"G-Gonta?!" You stuttered.

"Oh hi Y/N!" He blushed lightly. "Um..is there something Gonta can help you with??"

"Uh yes. I want to buy a bouquet of flowers for my mom's birthday..but I have no idea what to buy."

"Ah of course. Come this way." He walked towards the back of the shop.

You followed, looking around.

"So the best flowers to give on your mother's birthday is pink carnations. It means a mother's undying love. It also means admiration and respect."

"Ah thank you Gonta!" You grabbed a bouquet of pink carnations and pulled out the right amount of money.

"Here you go."

"Thank you. Come back soon!" He chirped.

"Of course!" You smiled.

He really knows his flowers...

You decided you would search up some flower meanings. You wanted to surprise him.

"Oh my! These are lovely!" Your mother put her nose into the pink flowers. "And they smell lovely too."

You gave her a hug.

"Did you get these from Despair Dahlias?"

"Yep."

"Ah. I know the owner. Doesn't she have a song?Gonta is it? He goes to your school doesn't he?"

"Yeah..how did you know?"

"Oh I asked him when he dropped off these flowers for you."

"Ah I knew it was him."

"Aren't you going to date him?"

"Wah?! Mom!" You yelled embarrassingly.

"Hehe. I think you should consider it. He seems like a nice fellow."

"I'm going back tomorrow mom. I'm going to buy some flowers for him."

"Aww how sweet."

"Yeah yeah whatever."

"Hehe. You like him." She squealed.

"Ugh mom!" You chuckled.

The whole night you looked up flowers and their meanings. You decided to get him roses. Which mean gratitude and love.

Ding!

"Oh hello Y/N! Could Gonta help you with something?" Gonta looked up from watering the flowers.

"Yes. Could you direct me to some red roses?"

"Ah. Gratitude and love. What's the occasion?"

"I want to give this to someone I love." You smirked.

"Oh. Well Gonta hope you and other are very happy." He smiled weakly.

You purchased it and then approached him. "You are the person I love Gonta." You immediately ran away.

I'm such a coward. I could've just waited. Ugh I'm so dumb.

"Uh Y/N?"

"Ahhh! How did you catch up with me so quickly?" You shrieked as you saw Gonta.

"Gonta very speedy. He raised by wolves!"

"Oh...I see." You quietly said.

"What wrong?"

"It's just...how could you love me? I'm not very pretty. Not very smart. Not unique and I don't have an outstanding personality-" You were going to keep going but Gonta wrapped his arms around you before you could say anything else.

"G-Gonta?"

"Shhh. You are beautiful Y/N. You are so nice and caring. If you weren't nice then why would you bring your mother flowers on her birthday? Plus, it doesn't matter if you aren't pretty on the outside. I saw you once help a cat get out of a tree."

"Oh yeah..." You remembered when you saw the neighbor's cat in a tree and helped it get out. You got a few scratches but you didn't care.

"And you are modest. Maybe too modest. You might not think you are beautiful...but Gonta does." He pecked you lightly on the cheek.

"Thank you Gonta!" You teared up, never hearing such kind words from someone other than family.

"I love you Y/N."

"I love you too Gonta."
