{Flashback}
Kaitlyn POV

My first memory. The day I learned of my curse.

I didn't understand those words.

"When you love somebody Kaitlyn, you can't tell anyone. Or else something bad will happen to you. I want you to be safe my dear. Please."

I complied but didn't understand. I didn't understand why I couldn't tell anyone my feelings towards someone.

I soon learned what would happen.

"If you love somebody Kaitlyn, you will become mute. Permanently. You will never talk again. I'm sorry sweetheart."

Resentment.

Of course, I had many crushes in my life.But I could never tell them how I felt. I soon resented my curse.

I watched as everyone else had a significant other, growing up.

I wanted to love. I wanted to confess and spend the rest of our days together. But I couldn't.

Chihiro. My childhood friend. We soon learned we would be going to the same school. Hope's Peak Academy. We were excited.

Me especially.

He was always there for me, hung out with me, and was different. He respected me and accepted me. For all the problems and burdens I carried.

Right from the start.

He made me a promise.

"Hehe! You can't catch me!" Kaitlyn yelled, sticking her tongue out.

Chihiro grinned and ran after her, feet swiftly moving across the bright green grass.

"Aha!" He tackled her and both of them rolled down the hill, laughing.

When they got to the bottom, Kaitlyn smiled.

"Chihiro, do you promise we will always be together?" She asked.

Chihiro smiled. "Of course Kaitlyn! Always!!"

I was too naive to understand that his promise could never be fulfilled.

{End of Flashback}

Kaitlyn clenched her fists at Monokuma's words.

"That f**kin b**tard!" She slammed her fists onto the wall.

"Kit Kat. Calm down." Chihiro hugged her.

She teared up, wanting this to be a lie.

But it wasn't.

"Chihiro. I'm scared." Kaitlyn shivered under his arms.

"It's alright Kit Kat. I've got you. Don't worry."

Kaitlyn teared up.

I wish this wasn't real. I want to go home. I want to live my life out with Chihiro. That d**n bear!

Chihiro patted her on the head.

"I'll protect you Kit Kat. No matter what."

Kaitlyn nodded and pulled away.

"I will too Chihiro."

{A week later}

"Hey no fair!!" Kaitlyn pouted as Chihiro tickled her and ran off.

"Hehe!" Chihiro chuckled as you chased after him.

Kaitlyn tackled him and then got up. "Hah! Serves you right!"

Chihiro smiled. "I'm glad you are cheering up."

"Cheering up? What do you mean?"

"You just seemed so distant and sad lately."

"W-what? No I'm not!" Kaitlyn stuttered.

"Kit kat. I know when you are upset. Talk to me." Chihiro gave a beautiful smile.

Her heart leaped.

"Chihiro. I...I-I can't tell you. I just can't."

"Kaitlyn. I understand. It's alright. I just want you to know that you are more beautiful when you smile."

Kaitlyn blushed. "H-hey! Flattery won't let you pry into my mind!" She stuttered.

"Hehe. I'm glad you are cheering up." Chihiro hugged her.

When he let go, she missed his warmth. She wanted him to hug her forever.

"I'm gonna go back to my room. Good night Kaitlyn!" Chihiro waved.

Kaitlyn waved back.

"Goodbye!"

I love you!

"You like her, don't you?" A voice giggled.

You turned around to see Aoi.

"What?! No I don't!" Kaitlyn denied.

"But I can totally tell!! You blushed when she complimented you and looked like this when she left."

Aoi made a forlorn expression.

Kaitlyn sighed.

"Aoi. Will you promise me something?"

"Of course! What is it?"

"Will you promise not to tell Chihiro this?"

"I promise!" Aoi nodded.

Kaitlyn sighed deeply.

"Yes. I do like....her. He-I mean she has been my friend since forever. I love her more than anything."

Aoi smiled. "Wow! More than anything? You must really like her."

"Yeah but please...don't tell her...alright?"

"Of course Kaitlyn! I won't tell her!!"

"Thank you Aoi." She smiled in relief.

It feels good to get that off my chest.

Kaitlyn headed back to her room and went to sleep.

{The Next Morning}

Kaitlyn woke up, relieved that she could still talk.

Maybe she could trust Aoi after all.

She walked down to the lunch hall.

Some people were there. Eating breakfast or talking with others.

I'm glad everyone is getting along.

Kaitlyn smiled.

"Hey Kaitlyn!! Hagakure walked up to you.

"Hey Hagakure. What's up?"

"Oh nothing much. I just wanted to say hello."

She nodded. "Alright then."

"Yeah. But do you know where Chihiro is? I wanted to talk to her but man, she is one hard gal to find."

Kaitlyn cringed silently.

I keep on forgetting that they don't know Chihiro is a boy.

"I will go look for...her."

"Alright. Hope nothing happened. Oh me gosh what if something happened!?"

Kaitlyn grew worried and searched for Chihiro.

Fortunately she found him in the hallway.

Monokuma was whispering in his ear.

Monokuma? What is happening?

"Hey yo! Chihiro! What's going on?"

Chihiro immediately looked up at Kaitlyn, blushing, looking nervous.

"Uh-I...uh..."

"You should tell her pupupu..." Monokuma put on a devilish grin.

Kaitlyn wanted to say "what?" But she couldn't. Her mouth would move but nothing would come out. She realized, in horror what just happened.

"D-do you like me Kit Kat?"

Kaitlyn was unable to speak and she teared up, running away. Fast as she could. Away from him.

No. No. It didn't happen. No. No!

(If you don't get it, Aoi told Sakura because she trusted her but since Sakura is the traitor, she told Monokuma. Monokuma already knew about the curse, but this new tidbit of information sparked a devilish thought in his head.)

She ran into her room, slamming the door.

She leaned against the doorframe, hands through her hair in frustration.

Why? Why did this have to happen! Why??!

Tears fell from her cheeks and she kicked the wall in anger.

Why? Why WHY?

She put her face in her hands.

I'll never be able to talk again. I'm useless. I'm pathetic.

She looked at the fading scars on her arms.

Chihiro...

{Flashback}

"Kaitlyn open up!" Chihiro yelled and burst into her room. He saw her cutting herself, blood lacing her wrists.

Before she could do anymore damage, he hugged her, leaping forward.

"No. You are not hurting yourself. You are worth something. You are worth everything. To me and the rest of the world. Don't do this Kit kat."

She could feel his tears drip down onto her shoulder.

She shakily dropped the knife and hugged him back, tears starting to show.

"Chihiro. Thank you."

{Present}

He was always there...he told me I was worth something. That's why I fell in love with him. Because he cared. He truly, sincerely loved me.

A knock resounded on the door behind her, the vibration she felt on her back surprised her.

"Kit kat..open up please."

More tears started to flow. She couldn't speak. She couldn't.

She opened the door slowly.

Chihiro sighed in relief and hugged her.

"I'm so sorry. I'll never talk about your feelings ever again. I'm so sorry I made you cry. Forgive me. I'm so sorry."

Kaitlyn put a finger to his lips.

She put a hand to her neck.

Chihiro gazed in horror. "Kit kat...can you not talk?"

She nodded, tears streaming down her face.

"Kit kat." He kissed her, arms folding around her back.

"I'm so sorry I did this to you." He whispered, pulling away.

Kaitlyn wiped her tears. She shook her hand.

It's alright.

"Kaitlyn. I love you too. You have helped me. Encouraged me. Loved me. And supported me. I could never ask for a better lover than that. I love you. More than you could ever know."

He kissed her again, more passionately, full of love.

"I will never leave you. I love you..my precious kit kat."

She blushed but kissed back.

I love you Chihiro.

{Next Day}

Chihiro and Kaitlyn held hands as they walked down the hallway.

"I have to go to the restroom. Be right back." He smiled and disappeared behind the wall.

She remembered the promise that he made.

"I will never leave you..my precious kit kat."

She smiled.

But her smile didn't last long.

She quickly noticed that there was a presence behind her. She swiveled around, jumping back, ready to defend herself.

She gasped at the face as they impaled her either a spear.

The last face she saw.

Was her lovers

Dead body.

(If you didn't get the ending, the killer killed Chihiro and noticed Kaitlyn. So they used chihiro's body as a shield and since Chihiro's body was already impaled, they shoved his body towards her, impaling her as well.)
