Kaiya was regretting having ever agreed to going with Satchiko out in the woods at night. "It'll be romantic!" She'd said, "It'll be fun!"

But she didn't bother to check the flashlight's batteries before leaving, so it quickly died.

Kaiya wasn't one to be afraid of the dark, but being lost in a forest in the middle of the night with no light source was enough to send chills down anyone's spine. The chirping of cicadas and occasional rustling of leaves didn't help.

"I'm not sure this was a good idea, Satchi..." Kaiya muttered, looking around for her girlfriend in the dark. When she got no answer, she spoke again. "Satchiko?"

"Don't worry Kaiya, I got this!" Satchiko exclaimed, before Kaiya heard a stomping sound and immediately bright red and blue lights flashed from below, and the giggling lucky student's figure was revealed.

Kaiya rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but smile. "You dork... I can't believe you still have those shoes, you're not eleven."

"They still fit me so I'm not gonna waste 'em!" Satchiko said, crossing her arms.

"Let's just go back..." Kaiya said, and soon felt the shorter girl's hand slip into hers.

"Mmhm~!" Satchiko hummed, and as the two started walking, she stomped to keep her shoes lighting up.

Satchiko was a complete dork, but that was alright. She was Kaiya's dork.
