Prologue
I was asleep on a school desk that I didn't recognize. When I woke up, a girl wearing a green shirt with light blue eyes and pink hair was staring at me.
???: Hey, are you all right? You've been out for a while.
I continued to lie my head on the table, trying to go back to sleep. The girl then proceeded to check me. behind her was another girl. She had brown hair, brown eyes, and a blue shirt with three ballons pictured on it.
???: Anna, leave her alone. She probably doesn't feel like waking up.
The first girl didn't listen to the second, so I decided to finally get up.
???: Oh, she's awake.
When I got up, I looked around and realized I was also in a classroom that I didn't recognize. The girl in green looked me in the eyes.
???: Hello, what's your name?
I looked at her confused and finally answered.
Aqua: My name is... Aqua Mizu.
The girl smiled.
Anna: Aqua huh? My name is Anna Wilson.
She points at the other girl.
Anna: And that's my sister, Strawberry Wilson.
Strawberry: Hey, by any chance, do you know where we are?
Aqua: Not really, this place doesn't look like the leaf.
Anna: The where?
Aqua: The hidden leaf. That's where I moved to at least. What about you guys?
Anna: Well we're from New York. And Equestria... technically.
Aqua: New York? Equestria?
That's odd. From what I remember, New York, Equestria and the Hidden Leaf are from 3 completely different realities. I got up, looked around at the classroom, and noticed big metal plates on the walls.
Aqua: These are...
Strawberry: Metal plates. They seem to be covering where the windows are supposed to be. Looks like whoever brought us here plans on keeping us here for a very long time.
I continued to look around and saw a surveillance camera on the ceiling.
Anna: Are we being watched? Is it for our safety... or something else?
I looked around a little more and saw a large monitor.
Aqua: Why is that here? I'm starting to have a bad feeling about this.
I looked back at the others.
Aqua: So, are we the only ones here?
Anna shook her head.
Anna: Just like you, we wroke up in some random classroom. On our way here we saw others. But we didn't speak to them.
Strawberry: Well we should try meeting with them. Maybe we can find some clues about what's going on.
So the three of us walked out of the classroom and looked around. The walls and ceiling had a bright purple color.
Strawberry: The hallway seems kinda weird too.
Anna: Look, there's someone over there!
Anna pointed at a girl wandering around the hallway. She had blond hair and wore a white tank-top. She also had yellow cat ears and yellow cat eyes.
Anna: Hey, are you a real catgirl!?
???: What the hell is that supposed to mean?
Anna: Oh sorry.
Lisa: You better be sorry! You're talking to the one and only, Lisa Niko!
Aqua: Lisa... Niko?
Lisa: Yep! I'm not some abnormality! I made these ears to give me better hearing. I also made these contact lense for a more improved eyesight and night vision. I've got nothing to do with a cat!
She says that but, ignoring her last name, those are definitely cat ears and eyes.
Strawberry: Anyway, do you have any idea of what's going on? Like where we are and how we got here?
Lisa: Hell, right now I only know three things. We're definitely in a school, I hate school, and there ain't any booze around anywhere!
Aqua: Booze? Um, how old are you?
Lisa: Seventeen, why? What your gonna have a problem 'cause I drink underage?
Strawberry: Come on guys. We're going to waste time if we worry about her too much.
So the three of us left her alone and continued to explore. Soon we saw an A/V room and went inside. In there were two girls. One of them had a pink jacket on with honey brown hair and cherry red eyes. We walked over to her first.
Aqua: Hey, what's your name?
???: Me?
She looked at each of us and smiled.
Kaedi: I'm Kaedi Sakadai.
Strawberry: Kaedi. Do you know what's going on? Any reason why we're here?
Kaedi: Well no. I asked around and it seems most of the people don't know why they're here either.
Aqua: Even your friend?
I pointed at the other girl. She has honey brown hair and golden eyes. She also wore a white top with an orange skirt.
Anna: Hey, what's your name?
Honey Angel: Oh, I'm Honey Angel. Sorry to say, but I don't have a clue what's going on either. I tried to check out one of those surveillance cameras but I couldn't reach them.
Anna: can't you just fly up there with your angel wings?
Anna noticed two small angel wings on her back.
Honey Angel: Oh these? They're just for show.
Aqua: Then why do you wear them?
Honey Angel: To show them off of course.
Strawberry: Well we were just checking. We'll leave you guys be.
After saying our goodbyes to them we left the A/V room and headed toward the school store, which wasn't far from it. Inside were two more people. the first was a man with dark grey hair, red eyes, and a tuxedo. He was trying to get a girl to stop rummaging through the stuff.
Pix: Oh, you must be here to greet yourselves. I'm Pix and this is my sister, Ruby.
He pointed at the girl messing with things. She had brown hair and blue eyes. Like a newborn fawn. She looked at me.
Ruby: Hello. Would you like to play with Ruby?
She dug through the stuff and pulled out a cute teddy bear.
Aqua: Well, not right now. But maybe later.
Strawberry: And I'm guessing you two don't have a clue for what's going on.
Pix: Not in the slightest. However, that is not the only thing that's odd. It would seem that most people here have some sort of powers, but are unable to use them at the moment.
Aqua: Now that I think about it, that is weird.
So there are other people with powers like me? If so, then why can't any of us use them? Anyway, after saying our goodbyes we left the School Store and found the entrance hall.
Anna: An entrance hall? Does that mean we can get out of here?
Strawberry: Guess we better go find out for ourselves.
We headed inside and saw a giant metal hatch blocking it.
Aqua: So much for getting out of here. Wanna try opening it?
???: I wouldn't do that if I were you.
A man walked up to us. He had light brown hair and a beard with grey eyes. He wore a tan jacket and under that was a green shirt. He pointed at the top of the metal hatch.
???: See those guns up there? They were probably made to keep us away.
I looked at where he was pointing and saw two giant guns on each side of the metal hatch.
Aqua: Wow, I'm surprised I didn't see those before. Luckily I didn't do anything stupid.
Chuck: Yeah. Oh, that's right, I forgot to introduce myself. The names Charles Stark. But my friends call me Chuck.
Aqua: Charles... Stark?
Chuck: Yeah. I don't really know what's going on, but I hope we can get along.
This guy seems pretty nice, but I can't help but feel something off about him. We introduced ourselves then left the entrance hall. Then we stumbled upon the nurses' office. Inside we saw a girl with green eyes and orange hair. She wore a long top hat and was looking at the ceiling. Behind her was a guy who looked almost the same. He had orange hair and green eyes along with a black jacket. I was about to say something, but he interrupted.
Aqua: Um-
???: The hell do you want!
Aqua: Oh, I just wanted to introduce myself.
Neb: For who? Me? The names Nebula Ovema. Call me Neb.
Anna: And the girl?
The girl who was staring at the ceiling looked down and noticed us. That's when she started freaking out.
CO: Oh, um, my name is Celestial Ovema! B-But if that names too hard you can call me CO. I hope we can get along!
Strawberry: Both with the same last names? So your-
Neb: Siblings? Yeah, who the fuck cares? Can you guys just get the hell out of here you tree hugging hippies!?
Aqua: Okay, fine. No need to be so rude.
We walked out and left them be. Then we began wondering the halls again until we noticed two bathrooms. A man seemed to be waiting in front of the men's room. He had pale blue eyes and long, greasy blond hair. He wore a black coat and jeans.
Aqua: Um, excuse me-
???: What do you want? Can't you see I'm waiting to go to the bathroom?
Jeez, are all the men here jerks? Actually, no, I've met two exceptions
Aqua: We would like to know your name.
Dole: Me? The names Dollin Valter. And that's all you need to know!
I can tell by his attitude alone, that he is a major jerk. I heard the toilet flush from the bathroom behind him. A man wearing a vest over his white shirt came out. He had dress pants on and brunet hair that was in a bowl cut. He was also wearing glasses.
Dole: It's about time! Outta my way.
He pushed the man aside and went inside. closing the door behind him. We looked at the other guy.
Strawberry: And you are?
Collin: Me? I'm Collin Dana.
Aqua: ... I see. Nice to meet you.
Collin: Yes. Now move along. I have better things to do than waste my time on you.
As he said that, he walked away. I'm gonna guess he's one of the jerkish rich kids I heard existed. So we left the bathrooms and came across a flight of stairs. But then noticed those stairs were blocked by a gate.
Strawberry: So this place has an upstairs that we can't go to?
Anna: Yeah. I can't seem to open this gate either.
???: Don't worry, your not the only ones.
We turned around and saw two guys carrying another guy. One of the guys had purple hair and looked a lot like the main character of a JoJo series. The other one had white spiky hair and a red jacket.
Aqua: And you are?
Joseph: My name's Joseph Moore. The guy in red is my brother, Elijah Moore.
Anna: Um, and whos the guy on the floor?
Anna pointed at the guy they were dragging around. He had a black jacket and dark green seaweed hair.
Elijah: No clue. We found him sleeping in the corner and tried to wake him up.
Aqua: So you dragged him all the way here?
The guy finally woke up. Though he still had bags under his eyes. he got up to his feet.
Aqua: Oh, um, who are you?
Brog: Who me? My names... Brog.
Aqua: Just Brog?
Brog: Yeah. It's short for... something. I don't really care.
Brog turned around and walked away.
Joseph: We better make sure that guy doesn't fall asleep again.
The two of them then followed him.
Aqua: Well it seems like that was everything. The last place to check is the gym. But... this is weird.
Anna: Yeah. Not a single person knows why their here or how they got here. Not to mention that some of us who have powers aren't able to use them.
Strawberry: Yeah. Not to mention that everywhere we go there are cameras and monitors.
As if on cue, we heard a loud noise.
Monitors: Ding-Dong Bing-Bong!
Anna: What was that?
Strawberry: The monitors are tuning on.
We looked at the monitors and saw a small bear shadow.
???: Ahem! Ahem! Testing, testing! Mike check, one two! This is a test of the school broadcast system! Am I on? Can everyone hear me? Okay, well then...! Ah, to all incoming students! I would like to begin the entrance ceremony at... right now! Please make your way to the gymnasium at your earliest convenience... That's all. I'll be waiting!
After that, the monitor turned off.
Anna: What was that?
Strawberry: I don't know, but it might be best if we do as he says. He said to go to the gym right?
And so the three of us headed to the gym. Once we did, everyone else was already there. The gym had a large stage in the back of it.
Lisa: You three got some nerve keeping me waiting!
Anna: Oh, sorry. I guess it did take us a while to get here.
Collin: That doesn't matter right now. Since everyone's here, I would like to know who called us here.
???: Puhuhuhu! That would be me!
Suddenly, on the stage, a black and white teddy bear appeared out of nowhere.
Kaedi: A teddy bear?
It got up and hopped off the stage.
Monokuma: I am not a teddy bear. I am Monokuma!
Ruby: Oooh! It can move and talk too!
Lisa: It's probably some remote controlled toy or some shit.
Monokuma: I am not a toy! I am Monokuma! And I am the headmaster of this academy!
Aqua: The Headmaster? Then that means...
Monokuma: That's right! I'm the same person who gracefully imprisoned you all here. And now I'm going to let one of you go free!
Celestial: Only... One of us?
Monokuma: Yep! In other words, the first person to win my little game, get's to walk on out of here!
Collin: I see. And what exactly is this game of yours?
Monokuma: Well my good friend, I'm glad you asked. Why it's nothing more than a killing game!
Anna: A killing game?!
Monokuma: That's right! First come, first serve! If you want outta hear you gotta kill somebody!
Neb: What the hell is that supposed to mean! You want me to kill somebody then come here so I can smash your goddamn skull in!
Nebula was about to charge at Monokuma until Chuck stopped him.
Chuck: Hold on. It might be dangerous to go against Monokuma now. Think about it. He took sixteen people from who knows where and stuffed them into a school. He may have more power than we thought.
Monokuma: You might want to listen to him. If you don't, you might be chopped up like mochi. By the way, I see a lot of you have come here with powerful abilities that don't really belong here.
Aqua: Wait, does that mean...
Monokuma: Puhuhuhuhu! That's right! I took the powers of everyone who has them! And I will only give them to those who win the killing game! Now I will be giving you your very own... E-Handbook! This holds details of your classmates and the rules of the school, so make sure to hold on to it! And with that, I shall now bring this entrance ceremony to a breath closing!
After Monokuma said his good-byes, he disappeared leaving us all confused.
Celestial: W-What did he say? We need to kill each other... to survive?
Dole: Yeah, like hell am I gonna believe that crap.
Collin: Right now, we shouldn't be asking if it's real or fake. What we should be asking ourselves is... who here is really considering this?
After he said that, nobody said a word. We all just looked at each other. That day I realized that my normal life filled with hope, was about to be riddled with despair.
