Blackjack at Gadget Wharf

As soon as Dagger left, the nearby monitors all made a ding dong as the screens turned on.

The group turned slowly to a monitor. Once again, the host was sitting at his desk, this time drinking a glass of champagne. "Attention, everyone. It is now 10:00 P.M. Please make your way to your assigned cottages and get some sleep for the evening. Of course, I encourage you all to lock your doors and windows just in case someone is planning a murder! Goodnight."

With the dreadful omen, the monitors shut off.

Raven pursed her lips as she turned to face the crowd. "Let's listen to him and go to bed for tonight. We'll meet in the restaurant in the morning to discuss our options for dealing with Dagger. Sounds good?"

They nodded silently as the crowd dispersed, everyone slowly trudging back to their cottages.

Leo stood outside of his cottage as he watched everyone enter theirs quietly. As he watched Alice walk into her cottage, she turned around and their eyes met.

Surprised, he feigned a smile and waved. "Goodnight, Alice."

Alice instead looked up at the waning moon. Under the silver flood of moonlight, she seemed ethereal. "Hey, I have a question."

"What is it?"

She leaned against the chair in front of her cottage door. "Why can't we ever see the dark side of the moon? What do you think is there?"

Speechless, Leo shrugged.

Alice smiled and sat down in the chair. "There could be a colony of aliens and we would never know. Don't you think that everything has a dark side, though?"

"Well...people have their secrets."

"It's not just people though. Everything has a secret side. Even these cherry blossom petals. Do I really know anything about the other side of the petal that I can't see? I can flip it over, but then what about the side I was just looking at? What is going on there?"

Leo glanced back up at the twinkling night sky. "You're right. But, that just means that we have to do our best to understand it from all angles, right? You may not know what's happening on the side you can't see but you can make a guess if you know most of the story. That's why...I think we should do our best to work together and get off this island."

Alice giggled before she nodded and turned to face him. "I like the sound of that. Let's air high-five and make a deal, okay? We can be the start for everyone getting along. Maybe even a stuck-up like Gin or Cassini will also end up following our lead!"

Leo smiled in amusement as they air high-fived from the doorway of their cottages. Alice waved as she opened the door to her abode. "Goodnight, Leo."

He nodded as he opened the door to his own room. "I'll see you tomorrow, Alice."

With that, the two both closed their doors.

Leo let out a sigh as he leaned against the hard wood of the door, locking it behind him before he exhaustedly threw himself onto the bed.

As he put his arm behind his head, Leo glanced out through the faint gaps in between the blinds of the windows. The moonlight streamed in, creating a striped pattern on the floor.

The waves of the ocean lapped up against the shore, adding a rhythm to the island.

The rustling of the trees from the wind created different textures to the tune of the island.

Other than that, all was silent. Silent, like the dark side of the moon. Silent, like someone was hiding something.

It was 10:27 P.M. when Leo fell asleep.

~

"Attention, everyone. It is now 8:00 A.M. Please wake up and enjoy your time on the island!"

There was a frantic knock on Leo's door as soon as the announcement finished.

Leo groaned as he sat up, trudging to the entrance before he opened it. "Who is it?"

"Good morning, Leo!" a cheery voice answered.

He blinked out of his drowsiness, finally realizing that it was Elson who had come up to his cottage this early in the morning. "Good...morning, I guess. What are you doing here?"

Elson shrugged. "We're supposed to head to the restaurant to talk over things, remember? Let's go so we can eat breakfast too."

Leo nodded. "Give me a few minutes to change first."

As soon as Leo finished getting ready, the two of them began to make their way to the restaurant. Elson hummed quietly as they walked. "I saw you talking with Alice last night. What was that about?"

Leo choked on the breath that he had been taking in. "Oh...it wasn't much. She was very philosophical and all I did was have a conversation with her."

The Ultimate Conductor didn't say anything. Rather, a hint of a small smile played on his lips as they arrived at the restaurant. "I see." He opened the door. "After you."

Leo nodded his thanks as he walked in, looking around to see that most of the people had already gathered. They were all situated at the long dining table in the middle of the restaurant; some were sitting, while others preferred to stand around and amble around aimlessly.

Raven was sitting near the head of the table with a cup of coffee in her hands. She took a careful sip, looking around. "Who else are we missing?"

"Gin, Nova, and Cassini," Brody muttered as he sat back. "Who else would be missing, anyway?"

"Legend is too," Phoenix pointed out before she stuffed half of a cookie into her mouth.

Raven pursed her lips. "I'm not too surprised about the other three...but Legend? He should be here by now."

As if on cue, the doors suddenly flew open and two more people stepped in.

"Speaking of the devil," Raymond commented. "Nova and Legend, you two are really late."

Legend frowned as he waltzed by the group and sat down. "Well, of course. My morning routine is extensive, I must use five different facial cleansers so that my skin will be properly exfoliated for at least eight hours! After that, I must apply two types of lotion for adequate moisturization of my skin. After all, with someone as important as me, it's crucial that I keep up my image as well."

Nova scoffed. "No one here gives two shits about what you look like. We'll all look the same if we die."

A somber silence suddenly lowered the ambience of the restaurant.

Alice cleared her throat, cutting the stifling lack of noise. "She was kidding, everyone. I don't think Gin or Cassini will show up anytime soon, so shall we just get started?"

The group, collectively motivated by her charm, all agreed.

"First off, he never said that we were absolutely required to murder each other, right?" Yumi pondered as she took a sip of tea.

"Nope!" Angel exclaimed joyously before returning back to her tall stack of pancakes.

"That means there's no need to. We can figure out other ways to get off of this island, then. I hate to say it, but...we need to bond together more. That way, we won't end up murdering each other," Yumi trailed off into a mumble, her cheeks turning pink.

Elson smirked in amusement. "Oh, what's that? Is the Ultimate Queen—the queen with a heart of ice, no less—asking to be friends with us? I guess miracles do happen!~"

"Sh-shut up, Serafino! It's not like I want to be friends with you all. You know, they say that the best way to rule over your subjects is to form a bond with everyone, and that's all that I'm doing here." With that, she crossed her arms, puffed up her cheeks, and turned away.

Cornelia set down her orange juice. "That was adorable, but here's the next question: how would we get to know each other better? I don't mean to be an asshole but," she leaned forward slightly as if to whisper, "there's at least two people here who are legitimately unapproachable. How would we get close to them? That's like trying to catch an eel with your bare hands."

"H...have you done that before...?" Eve mumbled curiously.

"Of course! I've crashed my plane like four separate times," she boasted.

"That's...that's not something to be proud of, is it?" Leo asked.

Raven held a hand up. "Back to the subject at hand. I think if we hold events where everyone is in attendance, then they'll slowly open up to us."

"What would our first event be, then?" Brody asked, fidgeting in his seat.

"Ah-ha! I have the perfect idea!" Legend exclaimed. "One that would most definitely fit someone as grand as me!"

Someone groaned.

The Ultimate Fashionista ignored it, before holding his hands out in a welcoming gesture. "Let's have a fashion show. I'm willing to design outfits for everyone based on their ideas, and then at the end of it all, we'll do our own runway walks and then everyone will vote for who was the best! Does that sound good? Ah, but of course, all of my designed outfits will be good."

There were a few mumbles of protest before Alice smiled and spoke up. "I think that'll be fun! We'll also get an idea of everyone's styles and I'm sure that there will be a lot of memorable moments that will arise from this."

Raven finished her coffee and stood to go get another serving. "It's settled, then. If Legend is willing to make sixteen outfits, then I don't see why not. Where would we hold this?"

"Why not the beach?" Phoenix asked. "If people will help me with a stage then I can handle the lighting and anything else we need. It'll be done in two days."

"I think...I can try to cook something," Aspen finally spoke up, voice barely over a whisper.

"That's too much food for one person to make...here, I'll help you and we can go get Gin to help," Cornelia offered. "He doesn't have a choice."

With that, she stood and dragged the Ultimate Ice Sculptor away, ignoring his disapproving protests.

"I think we're good, then. We'll meet up in two days, at the time that Legend decides. Capiche?" Raven asked.

"Capoche," Elson answered as the group disbanded.

Leo stepped out of the restaurant and sighed as he looked around. "I don't know what to do now."

"Come with me, then!" a cheery voice from behind him said.

Leo turned around to find Phoenix, who smiled as she got out of the restaurant. "Raymond and Eve are going to prepare for other things, but I really need someone who's tall enough to help me fetch and carry stuff."

"I guess I'll come with you, then."

"Great! Let's go to the supermarket and I'll be able to look around for things I can use."

The two of them began to walk down the road to the supermarket, stopping every so often so that Phoenix could admire the monitors that were hanging in the palm trees.

There was a gust of cool wind that blew when they entered the supermarket, the sliding doors opening as they walked in.

"So...what do you need, exactly?" Leo asked as he looked around the supermarket.

Phoenix immediately went to a nearby aisle, looking up and down the shelves. "Well, we'll obviously need wood or some other building material to set up the stage. I also need a lot of wires and other parts so that I can light it up as well." She grabbed a bundle of electrical wiring before handing it over to him. "Hold this."

He took it, looping it around his arm. "While we're here...might I ask how you became the Ultimate Mechanic?"

Phoenix laughed as she tossed him a package of LED light bulbs. "Why do you want to know?"

Leo shrugged. "We have to get along anyway, don't we? And besides, we might as well also learn about each other while we're working."

She hummed, going silent for a few moments before tossing over a toolkit at him without looking back. "I suppose you're right. But, it's only fair if I can ask you questions as well. Deal?"

"Deal," Leo agreed as he barely caught the toolkit with an oomph.

"How I became a mechanic...well, since I was little, I can remember just being in a garage. Even if it was just spectating, I would always spend my time there. Can you grab the box up on that top shelf?"

He looked up and stood on his tiptoes, grabbing the box off the shelf before handing it to her. "Were your parents mechanics then?"

"I don't remember having parents, ever. It's like a chunk of my memory that's always been missing. Anyway, as I was saying before, I feel like my whole life has been in a garage. I can picture the parts, breathe in the oil and gas, and feel the metal in my hands. Here, take this for me." She handed him three boxes full of screws.

Leo took the boxes carefully and added it to the growing stack of items in his arms. "How'd you get well-known?"

"At some point I took up an offer for someone to fix their car. They were really impressed, and they spread the word. I became the resident mechanic for the town that I was in." Phoenix went across the store, examining the wood and metal bindings that leaned against the wall. "That's all, right? That was your question. Here's mine: how did you become well-known?"

Leo trailed behind her, watching her curiously. "It's not as impressive as yours. I was just a really good sleeper and a lot of researchers were intrigued."

A faint smile played around on the corners of her mouth. "I see. So, what kind of experiments? Actual surgery and implants, or...just analysis?" She turned around and plopped a long extension cord on the counter next to her. "Remind me to grab that when we leave."

"Ah, right...but anyway, I was mostly used for analysis. Occasionally I would help them by taking medicine and whatnot but there wasn't anything radical about it. So, what do you focus on the most in mechanics?"

Phoenix looked at a package of batteries thoughtfully. "I guess you could say I like to invent gadgets the most. Anything with building and wiring is my favorite thing in the world. It helps me forget everything that's going on...perhaps I should build more, to forget the hell that we're in right now?"

Leo couldn't think of a proper response before she shrugged and picked up the coil of extension cords. "I'm kidding. We don't really have the freedom to lose ourselves." As if a switch had been flipped, she suddenly shifted her mood from the gloomy, pessimistic one back to her old, cheery self. "Let's go, shall we? We'll head on down to the beach and then I'll let you go!"

Leo sighed internally in relief as they walked out of the supermarket and began to head their way down to the beach.

As soon as Leo's shoes made contact with the soft, white sand, he set down the items in his arms with a grunt before rubbing his aching arms. "You grabbed a lot of things."

Phoenix grinned. "Oh, it's fine. You're a big, strong, capable boy so I'm sure it was nothing for you!~"

"Damn you," he grumbled as he sat down to stretch.

"I suppose I should reward you for everything you've done for me today...so here! Close your eyes!"

Leo hesitantly closed his eyes, sitting still as he waited in anticipation.

There was a plop and he reopened his eyes to find a large box of chocolate chip cookies in his lap.

"I grabbed these on a whim because I thought I would eat them myself, but it's fine! You can take them for today. Thanks for everything!"

"You're welcome, I guess?" Leo stood as Phoenix turned her back to him, turning her attention the pile of parts in front of her. He noted the glint in her eyes as she took out a notebook and began to sketch her designs.

With an exhale, Leo turned around and left the Ultimate Mechanic to her antics.

"Losing ourselves, huh?"

~

Later in the afternoon, Leo found himself walking along the outskirts of the cottages, bored. He had asked everyone if they had needed assistance, to which all of them had declined in some way.

With a groan, Leo began to head to the hotel lobby with the plan of relaxing in one of the chairs and taking a nap.

He was surprised to find Raven, sitting alone in one of the chairs in the corner, reading a book. She looked up and closed the book before setting it down. "Good afternoon."

"Hey there," Leo greeted back, feeling out of place with his colloquial response.

She patted the seat across from her own. "I was just about to find someone. Care to play a round of blackjack with me?"

"Blackjack? You gamble?" he asked, surprised as he took a seat in front of her.

The Ultimate Knight let out a small chuckle. "Yes, I used to play it with my lordship when I was serving him. He was very good at cards."

"Huh...lordship. I never thought I would hear that in this day and age."

Raven seemed to look surprised. "Is that not what people refer to each other as anymore?"

She's way out of her era, isn't she?

Leo shook his head quickly. "Never mind that, there's nothing wrong with it! I know how to play but I'm not that lucky."

"Very well." She picked up the deck of cards, shuffling them around quickly before putting the deck face down on the desk. "Draw your first card."

Leo drew a card and glanced at it, noting that he had a five of diamonds.

"Shall I go first? I'll hit," Raven took a card from the deck before she put both of them face down in front of her. "How about you?"

"I'll hit too," Leo drew a second card, find out that he had drawn a seven of spades.

"Stand."

"Hit," he drew one more card before realizing that it was a ten of hearts. Smiling sheepishly, Leo laid his cards out on the table. "I busted."

"Let's go for a second round then."

The two of them drew a new card.

"Hit," Raven said, taking another card.

"Hit."

"Hit."

"Stand."

"Stand. Let's reveal our cards in one, two, three!"

Leo looked over at Raven's cards to find out that hers had totaled nineteen, while his reached seventeen. "Shoot, I guess I lost again."

There was a certain sparkle in Raven's eyes, almost as if she was enjoying the game. "Again?"

He couldn't help but agree to the eager look on the Ultimate Knight's usually passive expression.

"Hit."

"Hit."

"Hit."

"Stand."

"Hit."

"Stand."

"Stand, one, two, three!"

Leo was in disbelief when he realized that he had somehow won. "Woah...that was unexpected, actually. I suck at gambling."

Raven puffed her cheeks indignantly. "Could I bother you for a rematch?" There was a fiery, competitive look in her eyes.

"Ah...of course."

"Hit."

"Hit."

"Stand."

"Stand, one, two, three!"

Leo's eyes widened in awe. "That's amazing, you got a blackjack after only four rounds?"

Raven seemed to puff up with pride upon hearing those words. "It's luck, really. And, I had a very good lord to teach me."

Even she has a competitive side, I guess.

Leo stood and went over to the coffee makers. "Well, you totally demolished me even in those four rounds. Do you want anything? It's the least I could do to honor your skills."

Raven looked over in disbelief. "Me? A vassal...receiving a gift from someone? I could not do such a thing!"

"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to impose on you...could I at least trouble you and make you some coffee? I know you like it a lot, and I was about to make some for myself anyway..."

She seemed to relax after hearing those words. "I suppose that is okay."

Leo sighed in relief as he grabbed two ceramic mugs. "They'll be done shortly." As soon as the coffee maker finally stopped dripping the roast into the pot, he took it off and poured out two cups. "Anything in your coffee?"

"No, I prefer it black. It helps me focus."

He nodded before carefully carrying it over to her. "Here you are. Congrats on winning blackjack, though it wasn't much of a competition to begin with."

Raven accepted the coffee with both hands, taking a careful sip. She stared down at the cup, tracing the designs. "Say...do you really think that someone would be desperate enough to try and get off?"

Leo put a few spoonfuls of sugar in his coffee as he stirred it thoughtfully. "I don't know. There's so much that we don't know about everyone else. I wish I could understand them so that I know if someone really wants to get off."

"Well, well, well, it's like you two are the omniscient characters in a story!" A voice cackled.

Leo felt the hair on the back of his neck rise as he turned around quickly. "Dagger!"

The host laughed as he walked over, snatching the mug that contained Leo's coffee before chugging half of it down.

"Careful, it's hot!—"

"Hot? It was lukewarm at best! Ah, but I suppose I can't blame you. You all have tastebuds that protest when you eat Tabasco sauce! Ahahaha! You should really start drinking things when it's boiling hot, you know. At first, it'll hurt, but then you'll develop an immunity to the heat so your hard palate and your tongue will be just like a heat-absorbent towel!" Dagger grinned as he sat down next to Raven, who scowled and did her best to shift away.

Leo glared at him. "What do you want?"

"Oh, I suppose I should tell you what's going on. Everyone should be here any moment now, and then you'll get to know. In the meantime...Killman!"

Erik quickly appeared, tripping over the coattails of his tuxedo. "Wh-what?"

"Entertain these two for me and make yourself useful." With that, Dagger disappeared, leaving the three of them in awkward silence.

Raven cleared her throat. "Well, I suppose a jester isn't too bad to have..."

"I don't think that's the point, Raven," Leo said.

Erik sighed miserably as he sat down next to them. "Sorry, guys. I'm not really funny enough to be a jester."

"My point is, you don't need to be one!"

Slowly, one by one, the others began to file into the lobby as they looked around. "What's going on?" Cornelia asked as she began to look around.

"Is everyone here? Great! That means I can get started!" Dagger suddenly emerged from the second floor of the lobby, standing above them on the staircase like a king. "Don't forget, the point of this trip is to...kill each other! Ahahaha!" he began to laugh once again before sliding down the railing of the stairs.

Nova crossed her arms. "Not this shit again. We're not going to listen to you, you know that, right?"

Dagger smirked as he began to hand everyone a pair of headphones. "Oh, you will soon. Because this is your first motivation. Everyone! Please plug these headphones into the lovely tablets that I have provided. Afterwards, a video tailored towards you will play! I hope you will enjoy."

Leo grimaced as he looked down at the pair of headphones in his hands before he hesitantly plugged it into the tablet that he took out of his back pocket.

Immediately, a video started playing, opening onto the title screen.

"This is the life of Leo Stigmata. A well-known, all-around good athlete and the star of the show in every way possible! A beacon of light to many, an unattainable standard to most! He is untouchable, except to a few people: his family and his love, Bella Salli!"

Bella?

"Leo!" a female voice called out. "I hope you do great, wherever you go. It's such an amazing feat that you managed to be selected for this program to save and preserve the future! I'm sure you'll do amazing, but come back home soon, alright?"

"Leo!" two different voices called out from the dark screen. "You've always made us proud. We're both there for you, even when you're not with us."

The screen turned on as he saw a family of three: a man with the same blond hair, another boy with brown hair, and a woman with the same brown hair, sitting against a couch, faces smiling as they waved. "You can do it, Leo!"

The screen suddenly flickered over to a girl standing amongst a field a flowers, her back to him but her head turned to face him with a graceful smile. "I'll be waiting for you, my love."

Leo's heart fluttered.

Suddenly, the screen turned into static before it switched over to another scene.

All of a sudden, Leo's heart felt like it stopped as he saw the blood staining the flower petals in the field. The sky in the video was red as there was no sound playing except for the ominous sound of the wind, blowing the petals away slowly. It switched suddenly back to the house, the room torn into shreds with blood staining the walls.

Dagger's solemn narration came back on. "They were strong until the very end. However, one can't survive for long once they are exposed to despair."

There was a piercing scream in the headphones as Leo lurched back from the tablet and covered his ears, crashing backwards into the table and spilling the coffee everywhere. "Leo!" he could hear the girl pleading.

"Leo!" the family screamed out.

"Are they alive? You might get to know if you escape the island..." Dagger's voice trailed off into a haunting whisper as the video ended.

Leo ripped the headphones off and threw it across the room. He realized that his hands were clammy, and his breaths came in shallow, panicked breaths as he fought back the urge to vomit.

"No!" someone screamed as everyone began to slowly take off their own headphones, faces pale. Leo realized, amidst his own shock, that it was Eve who had screamed and broken down into ragged sobs.

Dagger smiled smugly as he looked down at the terrified faces of everyone who had just watched the video. "You all heard my message at the end. All of your secrets—and I mean all of them—will be revealed if you guys get away with murder! Isn't that a good deal? Ahahaha! Well then, happy murdering!~" With those words, he left once again, this time dragging Erik away with him.

There was a silence as everyone sat quietly, unable to speak.

Brody shivered as he slowly started to back away. "If you all saw something like mine...then no one's safe. I have to run," he whispered fearfully, knees shaking.

Gin, who usually wore a smirk, was also eerily upset as he stood. "That settles it then, right? We all have reasons now. There's...there's no point in trying to get along if all of us have the same kind of motivation."

"Wait, everyone!" a voice spoke up.

Everyone turned to Alice, who got up on the table with a determined look on her face. "This is what he wants from us. We have to stay strong, right? There's always the dark side of the moon that we can't see, just like in people. However, we can't let that deter us! I know you are all harboring your own secrets, and I know that it's impossible to have everyone share it all out. Even so, I trust you guys! I want to be your friend, one that you can rely on for anything, and I think that everyone should have the same relationship with each other! So...please," she held her hands to her heart. "Please don't fall apart like this."

"She's right," Elson took a deep breath as he wrapped the bandages around his arms tighter. "Come on, guys! If nothing else, I want to hang out with you guys. It's painful, seeing you all like this. Come on. Be a little more hopeful! We'll defeat Dagger together, and at the end of it all I'll treat you all to dinner. I swear! I'll even start saving up money for it!"

"You're an actual idiot," Cornelia grumbled before she smiled at everyone else. "But he's right. Let's use this motivation to get off the island together. We shouldn't let this prevent us from bonding with each other. Let's keep going with the fashion show, alright?"

"Of course! I wouldn't dare let anyone refuse to try my clothing," Legend scoffed.

Slowly, the group began to laugh as their spirits lifted up as people began to talk with one another once again. Even the two social outcasts, Gin and Cassini, stayed around as they made small talk with others.

The monitors turned on, and Dagger sat back. "If that's how you guys want to fight, then so be it. But, as of now, it is 10:00 P.M. Please make your way to the cottages and get a good night's rest!"

They disbanded, everyone walking back to their cottages slowly after a tiring evening.

Alice was waiting for Leo in front of her cottage when he finally arrived.

Leo smiled as he leaned against the railing of his own cottage. "That was an amazing speech, you know. You single-handedly lifted our spirits up. That's amazing."

Alice laughed as she sat back, exhausted. "It really hurt to see my video. But it hurt so much more seeing everyone else start to fear each other. I had to do something with my voice, after all. That's what I'm known for."

"Still, it was incredible. Your crowd influence is scary."

The Ultimate Pop Star let out a happy sigh as she closed her eyes. "I suppose so. Hey, hey. Let's talk some more. It was really fun chatting with you last night."

"Sure. What do you want to talk about today?"

"Dreams! You have to know a lot about them, right? I mean, you're the Ultimate Sleeper. So, in your professional expertise, why do you think we dream?"

Leo shook his head. "I'm hardly a professional, but if it were me...I think dreams are meant for us to experience some kind of balance within our lives. We can dream of the past, and we can dream of an alternate reality. I think most dreams—with the exception of nightmares—are imagined for that purpose. How about you?"

Alice looked up at the moon once again thoughtfully. "I think dreams tell us of our future. It's clairvoyance. It warns us or encourages us to take action for something. I think, if we were to look into someone's dreams, we would see our true desires. For example, I dreamt about a potato yesterday, and today I ate a baked potato because I was really craving it!"

Leo couldn't help but chuckle at the analogy. "I see. Is there a dark side to dreams too?"

"I think everything has a dark side, even dreams. But, they don't like to emerge unless something is truly stressing. Anyway, that's my conspiracy theory on nightmares." Alice yawned as she closed her eyes. "Thanks for talking with me again."

"No problem. It's fun to talk like this, so I'm enjoying it too."

Alice smiled up at him. "I'm glad that you like it. No one really liked to listen to me when I was an idol. Speaking of listening, would you care to have tea with me tomorrow? Legend already measured me and he wants you to visit him in the afternoon, so let's chat in the morning! Sound good?"

"Sure. I don't have anything better to do," Leo admitted.

She grinned and stood up, walking to her door. "Well, now you do! We'll start tomorrow morning after breakfast, okay? Goodnight for now, Leo!"

Leo waved at her as he opened his own door. "Goodnight, then, Alice."

The two of them closed their doors and went to bed.

Leo closed his eyes as he laid down, ignoring the wind blowing outside. "Tomorrow, huh. I'm sure tomorrow will be okay. We've got a lot of docile people who are willing to work together."

Wait for me. I'll come save you allalong with everyone else here.

It was 10:28 P.M. when Leo fell into a dreamless sleep.
