HeadCanon #61: Kiyotaka Ishimaru (Trigger Warning)
(Welp, I'm about to go against my own rules for this. Sorry. This one is just kinda important to me, so don't read if this makes you uncomfortable. Trust me, I don't like writing it as much as you don't like reading it).
Taka was planning to kill himself after Mondo's execution. He couldn't decide how to though. At first, it was starvation, then it was over dose, after that it was hanging. He started cutting as well. He couldn't stand the pain. His first ever friends DIED because of each other. And Taka wasn't there to help them. To save them. To stop them from doing the worst mistake imaginable. To stop Mondo is his blind rage. To save Chihiro from being killed. To stop Mondo from killing one of their best friend's out of spite. Every single time Ishi though about it he wanted to through up or cut some more. Or both. He fell. He fell so far. He knew he fell so far and he hated it. But he knew he couldn't change it. Why? Because despair is a powerful thing. It eats up your body and leaves you with a shell of a soul. And that's what happened to Ishi. It ate him up and left him empty. When Taka died, he felt happiness again. Why? Because he got to see his friends as he awoke in the afterlife. They greeted him with warm smiles, hugs, and apologies. Taka asked why they were apologizing? Mondo and Chihiro responded with saying they saw EVERYTHING that Ishi had done to himself out of sadness just because of them and they wanted to make up for it. Taka then started crying and said, "Just being here with you, my friends, is payback enough. Please! Don't ever feel guilty because of me!" In the end, they were all happy. Together. Looking down on their living friends and guiding them from up above.
