Nagito tried to commit suicide once by jumping off a building. Hinata stopped him. Just as he was about to jump Hajime caught him in a hug and started sobbing and yelling about how much Nagito mattered to him and everyone else and how he didn't know what he would do if Nagito died. Komaeda didn't have the strength to hurt the one he loved so he didn't. He didn't jump. That was the one and only time Nagito tried to kill himself. He stopped making plans after he saw how much it hurt Hajime.

Hajime has a problem with cutting. He sees it as punishment for being so bland and worthless to the world and barely being able to help the ones he cars about. Nagito always watches him cut himself to make sure he doesn't go over board and as Hajime takes a blade to his skin Nagito tells him how much he loves him and how much he matters. Hinata is down to 10 cuts per week. Nagito is very proud of him for coming so far and for cutting less than he used too. Also, Hinata only cuts on his things. He prefers wearing short sleeved shirts so he doesn't cut on his arms.
