Miu led Kokichi to the back of the school.

"This is my favorite place behind the school," She told him, holding onto his hands.

"Being here, with you right now," Miu started singing, spinning with Kokichi, "Our future is so clear. Our union is so near!"

Tsumugi started singing too, "Being here with you right now." Miu started to glitch into Tsumugi, "I'll tenderly guide you!"

Miu fully transformed into Tsumugi, "Just take me inside you!"

"Forever~!" Tsumugi leaned forward, dipping Kokichi. She then let go of his hands, dropping him on the ground.

Tsumugi threw her hands out, "Your life was so pitiful before!"

Kokichi got up. Tsumugi tossed an arm around his shoulder and waved a hand through the air, "Now it's time to go all the way and more!"

Tsumugi let go of him, "You gotta get an upgrade!"

"Upgrade!" Kokichi repeated.

Tsumugi smiled, "Upgrade! You gotta get an upgrade!"

"Upgrade!" Kokichi echoed.

"Upgrade!" Tsumugi shouted.

She pat him on the shoulder, "Don't worry about the guilt you feel!"

Tsumugi grabbed both his shoulders and shook him, "Just take a breath and seal the deal!"

She spun him around, "Damn! Gotta get an upgrade! You gotta get an upgrade!"

Tsumugi pointed to an open window, "Go in."

Kokichi raised an eyebrow, but complied.

He fell into an empty hallway. Kokichi was about to turn the corner, but Tsumugi stopped him.

"Do you wanna come over," Rantaro's voice floated down the hall, "to my place tonight~?"

Kokichi poked his head around the corner. Rantaro was talking to Shuichi. Kokichi growled.

"We'll get all sporty and play cricket!" Rantaro placed an arm around Shuichi's shoulders, "Or get a forty and just kick it!"

Rantaro turned Shuichi around until he was facing him, "My parents won't be home so it's alright~. They laundered money. Now they're on the run!"

Shuichi blinked. "Wh-Th-That's illegal!" He stuttered.

Rantaro covered his mouth, "Which means the house is empty, so that's fun! Oh yeah, yeah~!"

He grabbed Shuichi and spun him around, "Never hung with a guy like you before!"

Rantaro stopped him, and dipped him, "I don't know if you know it, but I am sure!"

He lifted him back up and started walking back and forth, still holding hands, "That, for me, you are an upgrade!"

"Upgrade!" Shuichi responded.

"Upgrade!" Rantaro repeated, spinning around with Shuichi, "Let's be each other's upgrade!"

"Oh wow!" Shuichi gasped.

"Upgrade!"

Shuichi stepped back from him, stumbling. He held his hands up, "Well, I am flattered. This is new." He rubbed the back of his head, "Still, I'm not sure what I should do."

"You gotta take the upgrade!" Rantaro replied, grabbing him again.

"Gotta take the upgrade!" They both sang, Rantaro dipping Shuichi.

Tsumugi tapped Kokichi's shoulder, "C-c-c c'mon! Kokichi, can't you see!"

She pointed to Miu through the window, "We got a plan! Now be a man!"

Tsumugi placed a hand at her hip and slowly lifted it up, "You start with Miu, and then progress, and we assess, and soon, success!"

"We'll intervene! By which I mean," Tsumugi shouted, pointing down the hallway, "Shuichi~!"

Kokichi looked around the corner again, "Shuichi~"

"Shuichi~" Tsumugi and Kokichi sang at the same time, "Shuichi~! Shuichi~! Shuichi~!"

He turned around and started walking away, to run straight into Kiibo.

Kokichi looked at him, "Kiibo? Where have you been all day?"

Kiibo turned around, glaring at Kokichi, "Really? So you're not the one who's been avoiding me?"

Tsumugi appeared beside him, "It's called optic nerve blocking. I have been blocking Michael from your field of vision."

Kokichi blinked, "Wait, why?"

Tsumugi shook her head, "Kiibo is a link to Kokichi 1.0. To upgrade, you have to be willing to make sacrifices."

Kiibo waved a hand in front of his face, "Seriously, what's up with you? You've been acting shady ever since-" He froze, "Since.."

His gaze fell on Kokichi, "It worked, didn't it?"

He clapped happily, "Kokichi, that's amazing! We gotta test it out- No, we gotta celebrate! We gotta, play video games in my basement!"

Kokichi let himself be lost in his thoughts.

'I already know what it's like to be the loser," He thought in his head, 'I should find out what it's like to not be the loser.'

'I don't want to be special. I just wanna be chill as life will allow.'

He stared down at his hands, 'Should I take the upgrade?'

The voices in his head started screaming, "UPGRADE, UPGRADE, UPGRADE, UPGRADE!"

'Should I take the upgrade?'

"NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW ,NOW ,NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW, NOW!"

He grasped his hands, "And I wasn't sure before!"

Kokichi looked up, hope in his eyes, "But now I wanna go all the way and more!"

"So gimme that upgrade!" He shouted to Tsumugi.

"Upgrade! Upgrade!"

"Gimme that-"

"-Upgrade, Upgrade, Upgrade!"

Kokichi shrugged, "Tried to be genuine and true! But now it's time for something new!"

He pointed to Tsumugi, "So gimme that upgrade, upgrade, upgrade!"

"Gimme that upgrade, upgrade, upgrade!"

Kokichi shook his head, "Maybe it doesn't matter how!"

He threw his hands in the air, "I'm getting the upgrade right now!"

Kiibo tugged on his sleeve, excited, "Kokichi, are you coming?"

"Optic nerve blocking, on." Kokichi commanded, without turning around.

A crashing sound echoed in his mind.

"Now, let's get to work." Tsumugi rubbed her hands together.
