*Slowly inserts headcannon*
--------------------------------------
Kaede sat next to her piano in the middle of a crowd.
Some of her friends sat next to her, and some were in the audience.
The recital was taking place in a stadium where the audience's seats were higher than the actual performance.
Kaede tapped a nearby microphone, "Hello world! Welcome to the recital! Today, my friends and I will be performing songs from Heathers: The Musical!"
She turned around to her friends, who were each sitting on a chair with a microphone stand next to them.
"Please introduce yourself!" Kaede exclaimed.
Shuichi tapped his microphone, "U-Um. Hello. My name is Shuichi and I'll be singing Veronica's parts. And yes, I know I'm a boy, but we couldn't find any female who wanted her part, so yeah I'm here."
Kokichi went next, "Heya! I'm Kokichi Ouma! I'm gonna be the best JD of the year! And before you ask, because I know you're gonna, I'm taken by Shuichi- chan!"
Shuichi blushed, "K-Kokichi! Don't just say that in public!"
Tsumugi squealed, "You two are just about the cutest domestic couple I've ever seen! I'm Tsumugi Shirogane, and I'll be playing Heather Duke!"
Kirumi went next, "I am Kirumi Tojo, and I will be singing Heather Chandler's parts."
"I am Angie Yonaga!" Angie shouted gleefully, "Atua assigned me Heather McNamara's part!"
"I'm Rantaro Amami. I will be playing Ram's part." Rantaro continued.
"And I'm Kaito Momota! I will be playing Kurt's part!" Kaito shouted, shoving his fists together.
"And I'm obviously Kaede Akamatsu, and I'll be playing Martha's role!"
The recital started.
----------------
The audience audibly gasped at how feminine Shuichi's voice actually was, as well as how well he knew Veronica's parts.
There were two adults in the crowd, scowling though.
They growled more when Kokichi wrapped an arm around Shuichi.
---------------
After about an hours of playing the piano and singing, the recital finally ended.
Shuichi sighed, rubbing his throat. Kokichi pat his shoulder. Kirumi grabbed some water bottles out of a bag and handed it to all the singers.
"Thank you for coming! If you want to donate, please head to the website listed on the giant screen above us!" Kaede mentioned.
A monitor next to her beeped.
"Oh wow, that was fast!" Kaede blinked surprised, "We have a donation! It's a hundred dollars! They also left a message! 'Please stop referring to our daughter as a boy?' What?"
Shuichi fidgeted in his seat, although no one noticed, but Kokichi who glanced at him, worried.
"What do they mean?" Angie asked, tilting her head to the left.
"Check who sent it. It might help narrow down who they're talking about." Kirumi suggested.
Kaede checked who sent it, "Mr and Mrs....Saihara?"
"Wait, like the American actor and actress?" Tsumugi asked.
"American what?" Kaito asked.
"They star in movies." Tsumugi explained, "Although, I'm not surprised that you were the one to ask that, you moron."
"Hey!"
"Shuichi, you never told me your parent were actors!" Kokichi spun around in his chair.
"What do they mean about the daughter part?" Kaede asked.
"Um," Shuichi fidgeted with his hat. "Pride flag. Colors from up to down are blue, pink, white, pink, and blue." He gave a hint.
Kaede thought for a second.

"I see now!" Kaede shouted.
"You're alright with me saying it out loud right?" Kaede asked Shuichi.
Shuichi looked down at his lap. Kokichi placed a hand on his, "Hey. You don't have to tell them if you don't want to. Especially since we're in public."
"No, it's fine." He still gripped Kokichi's hand anyway.
"You're transgender, aren't you?" Kaede asked.
Shuichi nodded, a small smile on his face.
The monitor beeped again.
There were multiple donations from the audience, along with some messages.
Most of the messages consisted of congratulating Shuichi on his decision to come out to his friends and family.
Shuichi still looked nervous.
Kaede got another message, but no donation, from Shuichi's parents.
'My daughter is not a boy! Stop encouraging her to be something she's not,you stupid idiot!'
Kaede blinked.
'We know you like girls, you disgusting freak of nature. At least, that's the only thing wrong about you. My daughter thinks she's a boy, and that if she's a boy that she's gay! Fucking faggot. How disgusting.'
Kaede stared at the screen for a moment.
"Shuichi, do you still live with your parents?" She asked.
The other students glanced at each other.
"No, why do you ask?" Shuichi answered.
"Good. Never go back to them," Kaede suggested.
Another message was sent by his parents, 'And stop calling Shuko Shuichi! Her name is Shuko!'
"Shuko?" Kaede muttered out loud.
Shuichi visibly flinched. Kokichi glanced at him, then glared at the entire crowd somehow.
Another message.
Kaede clicked block.
"Alright everyone, thanks for coming to our recital!" Kaede shouted, spinning around, "I hope to see you next time! For now, however, the show is over!"
The lights turned off and the audience started leaving.
"So when were you going to tell us?" Kaito asked, punching Shuichi in the shoulder playfully.
He laughed, "Soon, I promise."
Kokichi grabbed on to his arm, "I already knew."
"Well, yeah, you're dating," Tsumugi glared at Kokichi, "I'd be concerned if you didn't."
"Atua said that we should support you, although he never did tell me why. I guess this answers that mystery!" Angie exclaimed, gleefully.
Kirumi pat Shuichi's back, "If you ever need assistance with the monthly problem, just come find me, alright?"
Shuichi nodded. Rantaro ruffled his hair.
"We wouldn't ever disown you for something like this," Kaede assured, "Our class is like one big family. You're super brave for being able to come out like you just did in public."
Shuichi smiled fondly.
The rest of their classmates came in.
"Gonta proud of Saihara!"
"LGBT Pride amiright?!"
"Wow, that was pretty brave of you, ya know?"
"What is transgender?" Kiibo asked, looking confused.
"It's when you're born as one gender, but you think of yourself as another, so you change your gender." Shuichi explained.
"Oh! Well, congratulations on coming out!" Kiibo smiled.
Two adults slammed the door into the room down.
"Oh shit," Kaede heard Shuichi mutter underneath his breath.
"SHUKO SAIHARA, I AM DONE WITH YOUR SHIT, YOUNG LADY?" The woman yelled, running over to Shuichi.
She reached out to grab him by the shirt, but Kokichi stepped in the middle of them, "Um, Shuko who? We only know Shuichi, my wonderful boyfriend."
"Move it brat," Shuichi's mom hissed, "Let me knock some sense into my daughter. She just wants to be different. She doesn't actually think she's a boy or gay. Shuko just wants attention."
The audience still here slowly sat down in their seats and started to take their phones out and record.
Angie tapped her microphone, which hadn't been turned off yet, "Wait, shaddup for a sec. Atua is speaking to me." She clasped her hands together, and closed her eyes, nodding to supposedly Atua, "Mhm, Mhm." Her eyes snapped open and she glared at Shuichi's parents, "Atua says you are a little bitch!"
Shuichi's mom stood shocked. Shuichi snorted quietly.
Tenko raised her hand in the air, "FUCK YEAH, ANGIE, WRECK THE HOMOPHOBE AND TRANSPHOBE!"
Her girlfriend, Himiko, also raised a hand in the air, letting out a quiet, "Yay.."
Shuichi smiled. Kokichi slipped his hand into his.
Kirumi spoke up, "Security is on its way. I suggest you get out now if you don't want your reputations to be ruined."
Shuichi's mom huffed, before grabbed Shuichi's dad and dragging him out.
Shuichi released a breath he didn't know he was holding.
"I don't deserve any of you," Shuichi mentioned.
Kaito pat his shoulder, "Cmon, don't talk like that! You're my sidekick! Let's go home."
Shuichi chuckled, "Yeah. Let's go home."
They walked out of that stadium with new information in their head, and confirmation that they would always be there for each other.
HA, I MADE YOU THINK THAT THIS CHAPTER WAS ABOUT KAEDE, DIDN'T I?
