Chapter One- A Kin's Will to Live III (Class Trial)
"What is this..." Arata choked out, "this... this can't be happening."
Masaru tore his eyes away from the body of Ultimate Surfer and watched Winona fall to her knees, sobbing. Toma tried to catch and comfort her.
Soon enough, the rest of the students, still in their night time clothes rushed towards the bathrooms after hearing the body discovery announcement.
"What's going on- AGHHHH!" Kaneko shrieked and covered her eyes from the gruesome scene.
Similar responses followed and Priscilla looked livid.
"You've got to be kidding me," Priscilla said and turned on her heel, "which one of you fools actually fell into this bear's trap?"
"You didn't even give us a chance to look for another way!" Mizuno yelled to no one in particular.
"I'd hate to say I told you so," Nao sighed and Arata had to hold Mizuno back from attacking her.
"Did you do it then?" Shoji asked Nao.
While the students were in disarray Masaru slightly closed the door to the women's bathroom so fewer people could see. Less people seeing the crime scene meant more possible slip ups for the actual murderer.
"My, my, what's going on here?"
Masaru looked down at Monokuma who had appeared at their feet.
"You know exactly what's going on," Umeda sneered.
"I know, isn't it wonderful!" Monokuma cheered, "I thought it would take foreeeveeerrrr for someone to kill!"
"You're despicable," Winona whispered, still on the ground.
"Yeah, yeah, moving on!" Monokuma observed his students empty hands, "this is why you should always have your monopads on you, how else will you view the victim's file?"
"File?" Masaru questioned.
"Yes! Every time a student dies, a file will be given to you all about the victim and how they died. It's for your investigation!"
Valini hugged herself and her eyes never met the bathroom's. "I want no part in this."
"Not wanting to help find the culprit is very suspicious," Shoji noted and Valini glared daggers at him.
"We need to focus," Priscilla told everyone, "let's go get our e- Handbooks."
The students followed that order and Masaru now stood back in front of the women's bathroom door in new clothes with his monopad in hand. He turned it on and found the file Monokuma was referring to.
Victim: Margot Gibbs- The Ultimate Surfer
Cause of Death: Strangulation
The victim's body was found propped up against the bathroom wall.
Estimated time of death is 6:10am
No other injuries were detected and no chemicals such as poison were present.
"I meant what I said."
Masaru looked up from his tablet and at Valini.
"I won't—" she shook her head, "I can't investigate this."
"You don't have to," Matsuyama assured her, "just leave it to us."
Masaru finally braced himself and pushed open the bathroom door revealing Margot's body which was still there; he'd almost hoped this was all a dream.
Margot's eyes were closed and there was a nasty red mark around her neck. Her skin had lost its natural glow and Masaru stepped closer to get a better look with Matsuyama and Priscilla right behind him.
"God," Matsuyama breathed out and wanted to look away but he knew they all had a job to do.
Masaru bent down in front of Masaru's body and looked closer at the unusual mark that was left on her.
"I've written stories on victims of strangulation before," Matsuyama spoke and Masaru looked back at him, "most of the killers used some type of rope but the mark around Margot's neck looks different."
What was used to strangle the victim?
Masaru then looked down at Margot's hands and spotted something under her fingernails.
"Blood and skin particles," Masaru noted out loud, "there must have been a struggle."
Sign of a struggle.
"That means that the culprit should have marks or scratches on them from the victim fighting back, right?" Mizuno commented, coming up behind them. Masaru turned to see that Toma and Nao were also with her.
"What are you doing here?" Priscilla asked Nao specifically.
"I'm here to help." Nao hummed then entered the largest bathroom stall.
"Or to tamper with the crime scene," Mizuno muttered.
"Masaru could you come look at this?" Toma asked and Masaru got up to walk over to the entrance where the bird keeper was standing.
Toma gestured to something on the ground that was slightly under the sink. There were tiny patches of some sort of brown colored powder.
"It may just be dirt but I wanted to point it out," Toma continued.
Brown colored powder found at the scene.
"And what do we have here?"
Masaru walked over to the large stall, opening the door wider to see Nao standing there innocently with her hands behind her back and staring into the open toilet.
Masaru looked as well and saw brown paper towels clogging it with more powder around the toilet seat.
"Looks like someone did a horrible job at hiding the evidence," Nao said.
Clogged toilet and more powder substance
Masaru then looked down near the toilet's base and saw faint footprints. Nao did not seem to notice them but he still took it into account.
Faint footprints
"M-Masaru?"
Masaru looked back at the entrance but it wasn't Toma who called him. Winona stood there teary eyed and he could tell she was doing her best to keep her eyes away from the body.
"Can I speak with you?" She spoke softly.
"Why is everyone flocking to Masaru?" Nao crossed her arms.
"Maybe because he is a detective," Matsuyama said while Masaru stepped out to talk with Winona.
"I could've stopped it," Winona spoke instantly once the two were away from the bathroom.
Masaru raised an eyebrow at that statement and Winona continued.
"I heard a noise outside of my dorm. I'm a light sleeper which is why I do aerobics and yoga to calm my mind. I was woken up by a commotion that sounded like a door opening which I assumed was just Margot getting ready to do her warm ups but not too soon after I heard another noise."
"Are you saying you heard two people waking up early this morning?" Masaru asked.
"I don't know but if I peeked out to see what was going on I might've saw the culprit and i could've tried to stop them."
"I doubt you would've been able to do that, Winona," Masaru said, "thanks for telling me this."
Winona's account
Masaru was going to go back to the crime scene but a bell rang out that made him stop in his tracks.
"Time's up, kiddos!" Monokuma said through the monitor.
"Already?" Winona looked fearful as the others who were investigating joined them.
"It's time for the long awaited class trial!" Monokuma continued, "now then, allow me to appoint a proper location for the proceedings. Please go through the red door on the first floor. See you soon!"
"Red door?" Masaru questioned.
"You can follow me," Matsuyama told them, "I found a red door while searching the school but thought nothing of it since it was locked."
"Maybe you would've known too if you actually helped us look," Mizuno said and Masaru turned to her.
"I'm sorry, did you know where this red door was located as well?" He asked.
Mizuno's face turned red and she huffed. "I'm going to go find the others."
After some time all of the students now stood in front of a red door just as Monokuma said after following Matsuyama's lead.
"So, we're really doing this," Umeda breathed out.
"I would've stayed in my room if participation wasn't mandatory," Shoji mumbled.
Just then, the door opened revealing what looked to be an elevator. The students exchanged nervous glances before stepping inside.
Nao faced all of her classmates. "We have to face the truth and acknowledge that one of us is a killer," she said bluntly, "so you all better not slack off; our lives are at stake."
"I hate to say it but she's right," Priscilla said, "we need to figure out who the culprit is or we'll all be executed."
Valini looked ready to throw up but had enough strength to look to Masaru.
"Did you mean what you said?" She asked, "about you being able to point out the killer, can we trust you?"
Masaru didn't know about the trust part but he wasn't called the Ultimate Detective for nothing.
"Of course," he responded as they all started to descend.
The trial room had a white tiled floor, blue walls, and sixteen wooden podiums. One of the podiums had a portrait of Margot which was now crossed out by two red surf boards.
Everyone else took their places as Monokuma sat on a high throne towering over them all.
"Let's begin with a basic explanation of the class trial!" Monokuma announced, "so, your votes will determine the results. If you can figure out whodunnit then only the blackened will receive punishment. But if you pick the wrong one... then I'll punish everyone besides the blackened and the one that deceived everyone else will graduate!"
"Wow, it's actually like a courtroom," Arata said observing his surroundings.
"That's what you're focused on right now?" Umeda shook his head.
Masaru looked around at his fellow classmates who looked uncomfortable and unsure of what to do until one voice spoke which sparked the conversation.
Author speaking: text will be formatted different to make it easier for me.
Seto Hamasaki: So we can all agree the killer is a girl, right?
Mizuno Okimoto: That's very bold of you to say.
Umeda Susumu: Well, the body was found in the women's bathroom.
Herb Sowle: But that doesn't necessarily mean the killer is a female. A guy could have broken into the women's bathroom.
Masaru Yamaguchi: That's impossible. There is only one way to get into either of the bathrooms.
The monopads
Masaru Yamaguchi: Our monopads allow each of us to access the hallway bathrooms. The girls monopads can open the women's bathroom and the boys monopads can open the men's.
Asya Neyzi: But what if someone stole a girl's monopad? The rules say you can't lend one to another student but it says nothing about stealing.
Masaru sighed and looked around the courtroom: Has anyone left their monopad unattended or noticed it was missing in the past few hours?
When no one said anything Masaru turned back to Asya: There's your answer.
Asya huffed: I was just going through all possibilities.
Matsuyama Michio: How about we talk about the time of death?
Shoji Isao: 6:10am. Seems too early if you ask me.
Priscilla Azumi: Why would Margot be outside of her dorm that early?
Masaru Yamaguchi: That's right. You two don't know.
Priscilla Azumi: ?
Masaru addressed everyone else: Do you all remember what Margot said to us in the main area before we were given the motive?
"Then I'll wake up at 6. That way I'll have thirty minutes to warm up and thrifty minutes to rest afterwards."
Arata Hisao: You're right! She talked to us about her warm ups.
Kaneko Yanagi: She also mentioned that her bathroom was too small for her. That is probably why she used the hallway bathroom.
Mizuno Okimoto: Oh no... then this is my fault. I'm the one who suggested the idea to her.
Monokuma: Yup! And that decision led her to her death!"
Seto Hamasaki: Shut your trap! It's not her fault that someone used this information to their advantage.
Toma Nikolaev: Then this means whoever was around when she said that is a suspect, right?
Masaru Yamaguchi: Yes. Since this is the case; Nao, Priscilla, Shoji, and Valini are innocent. They were in their rooms at the time which is why Monokuma had to go get them before the motive.
Monokuma. Right! The lollygaggers!
Nao Nakayama: Well, of course I'm not the killer.
Shoji Isao: Since I'm innocent can I leave?
Monokuma: Nope!
Umeda Susumu: I already knew my buddy Shoji was in the clear. He'd never do something so cruel.
Shoji Isao: Buddy?
Umeda Susumu: You're a hacker and I'm a game designer; we both use computers. We were destined to be friends.
Shoji Isao: That's not the same thing.
Priscilla Azumi: Let's get back on track.
Valini Bhatt: So, the culprit prepared to get up at six as well, followed Margot into the bathroom and killed her?
Seto Hamasaki: Wouldn't she have seen that coming? She was a surfer so she had to have some kind of strength to fight back.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Maybe so but if someone had taken her by surprise that would've thrown her off and it would already be too late because the culprit would be strangling her by now.
Asya Neyzi: How would they have taken her by surprise?
Winona's account.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Winona, you told me you heard two people coming out of their rooms earlier in the morning, am I correct?
Winona Masuya: Yes, it sounded like a door opening and after some time I heard the same noise again.
Mizuno Okimoto: That must have been Margot waking up to do her warm ups and the culprit following after her
Priscilla Azumi: Perhaps it could be the other way around.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Yes, what you heard could have been the culprit waking up first to hide in the bathroom so they could take Margot by surprise.
Toma Nikolaev: Where would they have hidden?"
Faint footprints
Masaru Yamaguchi: Nao may have missed it but there were faint footprints in the large stall which is where the culprit took place.
Nao Nakayama: I didn't miss it. I totally saw that.
Herb Sowle: Winona, did you hear when the culprit went back to their room?
Winona Masuya: No, I had fallen back asleep by then...
Priscilla Azumi: We should talk about what was used to strangle the victim next.
Herb Sowle: I don't recall seeing any type of rope or wire around the school.
Kaneko Yanagi: Then what did the killer use?
Masaru Yamaguchi: Perhaps they used something that were already in their possession.
Nao Nakayama: Like?
Masaru fell silent not actually having an answer to that.
Nao Nakayama: I guess the detective doesn't know everything
Matsuyama Michio: It's okay, we can come back to that. Masaru, didn't you mention something about a struggle?
Sign of struggle
Masaru Yamaguchi: Yes, under Margot's fingernails were blood and skin particles. The victim file did not mention any other injuries on her body so they couldn't have been from herself.
Kaneko Yanagi: So, they were from the killer!
Mizuno Okimoto: I was right then! The culprit should have marks or scratches on them. Everyone take off your clothes!
Shoji Isao: Excuse me?
Mizuno Okimoto: ... you know what I meant.
Valini Bhatt: Arata, what's that?
Masaru looked to where Valini was pointing and saw that Arata had what looked like bruises around his wrists. Arata held his hands up in defense.
Arata Hisao: I know I said I was going to see if the gym had a volleyball net but these are from doing sets in my room, I promise! I have my own small net in my dorm but I prefer a bigger space.
Arata Hisao: Tell them, Monokuma!
Monokuma: I can say that Arata does indeed have a net in his room but I can't reveal if he's the killer or not!
Arata Hisao: Hey!
Priscilla Azumi: Arata hold out your arms.
Arata did as he was told so Priscilla could get a better look.
Priscilla Azumi: It doesn't appear that there is a break in the skin so he is telling the truth. He would have cuts if that were the case, not bruises.
Arata Hisao: Thank you.
Nao Nakayama: Um, why aren't we suspecting Masaru?
Masaru Yamaguchi: I suggest we ignore that crazy assumption and stay focused.
Matsuyama Michio: Does anyone else have any marks on them?
Nao Nakayama: Hey, I'm being serious!
Asya Neyzi: I mean he is leading the investigation. He couldn't be the culprit... right?
Nao Nakayama: What he's doing is leading us away from any suspicion of him.
Mizuno Okimoto: What's your problem? We're trying to find a killer here and you're derailing the whole conversation.
Seto Hamasaki: Are we sure she's not the killer?
Masaru Yamaguchi: Unfortunately she's not.
Nao Nakayama: What do you mean unfortunately!?
Kaneko Yanagi: Wait!
Masaru glanced over to Kaneko who was now pointing at Toma. Toma's podium was next to Masaru's so Masaru looked over and saw what she was talking about. Toma's fingers had scratches on them that were indeed red and open.
Shoji Isao: Well, that was easy. Are we done?
Monokuma: Huh? Are you all ready to vote?
Mizuno Okimoto: What!? No!
Masaru Yamaguchi: You all can't really be this dense.
Umeda Susumu: We are looking for people with scratches, aren't we?
Masaru Yamaguchi: Yes but have you forgotten what Toma's talent is?
Umeda Susumu:...
The Ultimate Bird Keeper
Toma Nikolaev: My crows get a little feisty during dinner time.
Kaneko Yanagi: Oh, sorry.
Toma Nikolaev: It is alright.
There was a bit of silence before Monokuma spoke to them.
Monokuma: Geez! Are you all stuck already?
Matsuyama Michio: I've been thinking...
Matsuyama Michio: Is there a way someone could have covered up the marks?
Priscilla Azumi: Covered up?
Asya Neyzi: That still gives us nothing. Aren't there any more clues?
Masaru thought to himself for a moment.
Masaru Yamaguchi: There are.
Brown colored powder found at the scene.
Umeda Susumu: Care to elaborate?
Masaru Yamaguchi: There was a brown powder substance found near the sink and in the large stall on the toilet seat.
Nao Nakayama: There were also paper towels clogging the toilet so obviously someone was trying to clean it up.
Winona Masuya: Could it be protein powder?
Masaru raised an eyebrow.
Winona Masuya: I remember seeing some in the kitchen and I know how much Margot cared about her health.
Masaru Yamaguchi: I don't think it was protein powder but I have a feeling it was something else entirely.
Mizuno Okimoto: Well, what was it?
Masaru Yamaguchi: I would like to bring our attention back to the motive first.
Nao Nakayama: Yeah, totally not suspicious. We haven't even figured out what the murder weapon was yet.
Masaru ignored her and continued.
Masaru Yamaguchi: I made a list of the people who I felt reacted the worst to the motive.
Asya Neyzi: Reacted the worst? I'm pretty sure everyone was upset.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Yeah but some more than others.
Matsuyama Michio: Who are the people?
Masaru Yamaguchi: Umeda, Valini, Asya, Winona, and Mizuno.
Mizuno Okimoto: Me!? You think I could've done this?
Valini Bhatt: I thought we already established I was innocent.
Masaru Yamaguchi: And you are correct.
Asya Neyzi: Well, it's certainly not me!
Umeda Susumu: Don't even think about voting for me.
Winona Masuya: I... I could've never done something like that.
Masaru observed Winona's frightened face along with the others he accused.
Masaru Yamaguchi: I would like to rule out Mizuno due to the fact that I believe she is not capable of pulling off such a thing.
Mizuno Okimoto: Hey!... I mean, thanks?"
Masaru Yamaguchi: I would also like to rule out Winona because of the way she first reacted to the body. Even the greatest actor couldn't have pulled off such horror.
Umeda Susumu: You've got to be kidding me...
Masaru Yamaguchi: Another thing I would like to do is ask this specific person a question.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Asya Neyzi, can you please open your makeup bag?
Masaru looked at the pink bag around her shoulder that Asya hugged closer to her.
Asya Neyzi: Ha... why would you want me to do that?"
Mizuno looked to Masaru: What are you getting at?
Priscilla Azumi: Asya just do as he says.
Asya reluctantly opened her bag revealing what was inside. Eyeshadow, bronzer, a hairbrush, mascara, face powder, and a hair straightener. There were other items but Masaru only focused on two in particular.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Monokuma hand me the hair straightener.
Asya Neyzi: What!?
Monokuma: Will do!
Monokuma hopped off his thrown and snatched Asya's pink hair straightener in a quickness. Once Masaru had it in his possession he unraveled the cord and held it up and around his neck.
What was used to strangle the victim.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Yes, it's long enough.
Matsuyama Michio: Oh my god.
Asya Neyzi: What are you talking about!? You think I strangled Margot with my hair straightener!? You're crazy!
Masaru Yamaguchi: I didn't say anything about that.
Asya Neyzi: ...
Winona Masuya: It can't be.
Nao Nakayama: Interesting. But I already knew that.
Mizuno Okimoto: Sure you did.
Nao Nakayama: No, I really did.
Masaru watched as Nao pulled out a red lipstick tube and smiled.
Priscilla Azumi: You tampered with the crime scene?
Arata Hisao: Why didn't you say anything!?
Nao Nakayama: I wanted to see what our dear detective was capable of.
Asya Neyzi: That means nothing! There are several girls here, I can't be the only one that uses lipstick!
Kaneko Yanagi: I have lipstick too! ... but I didn't kill Margot!
Masaru Yamaguchi: I know you didn't.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Matsuyama, didn't you mention that you've written for cases involving strangulation?
Matsuyama Michio: Yes, I mentioned that none of them bared a strange mark around their neck like Margot did. If a rope was used there would be red friction areas and torn skin.
Asya Neyzi: This is all stupid! It's stupid!
Masaru Yamaguchi: You know what's stupid? Arguing against us although you know you're in the wrong.
Herb Sowle: But are you sure it's her?
Masaru Yamaguchi: Were you not paying attention?
Asya Neyzi: The mark!
Umeda Susumu: What?
Asya Neyzi: We know Margot fought back against her attacker and left scratches. As you can see I'm completely clean!
Masaru observed her entire body and saw no marks or blemishes present.
Seto Hamasaki: She's got a point.
Shoji Isao: And I'm pretty sure there are many other things around here to strangle someone with. A hair straightener is a bit of a stretch.
Umeda Susumu: Are you sure this girl is the killer?
Masaru clenched his teeth at the fact no one could see what he did in this situation. It was so obvious but he needed to remind himself that his intelligence was above those of his classmates.
Asya Neyzi: Ha! See? You have no actual proof!
Matsuyama Michio: But you still could have covered the marks.
Asya Neyzi: What are you saying?
Masaru Yamaguchi: Thank you, Matsuyama.
Masaru Yamaguchi: There's a blatant way you could have hidden the fact that you were attacked, Asya.
You covered it up with makeup!
Asya Neyzi: ...
Masaru Yamaguchi: That's what the powder found at the scene is, isn't it.
Priscilla Azumi: Are you wearing makeup right now, Asya?
Asya Neyzi: Of course, but—"
Masaru Yamaguchi: Then remove it and prove me wrong.
Asya Neyzi: I... I
Nao Nakayama: If you try to deny it even more then show us your lipstick in your bag.
Asya Neyzi: What? Why?
Nao Nakayama: It will prove that you didn't drop it in the midst of your little killing spree.
Asya Neyzi: ...
Nao Nakayama: You can't, can you? Because it's right here in my hand.
Asya Neyzi: ...
Asya Neyzi: you don't understand...
Masaru Yamaguchi: Oh I think I do, so let me go over everything that happened.
It all started when Margot mentioned her morning routine to the group excluding Nao, Shoji, Priscilla, and Valini. The meaningless information meant nothing at the time but once Monokuma revealed the first motive this information soon became something that could be used to one's advantage. Which is exactly what the culprit did as they formed their plan.
Winona heard two people leaving their dorms in the morning. First, everyone thought it was Margot leaving to do her warm ups and the killer following after her but it was the other way around. The culprit made sure to get up earlier than Margot so they could hide in the women's bathroom largest stall. The killer brought their makeup bag with them considering they brung it everywhere they went.
They then used their monopad to access the bathroom then took their place, leaving footprints in the process. Soon enough, Margot woke up exactly at six to do what she planned to do every morning. She accessed the bathroom next to prep herself before her work out when the culprit jumped out from the stall with a hair straightener already ready in their hands.
Margot did not have much time to react because the cord was around her throat by now, cutting off air. The only thing she could manage to do was reach back and grab at the culprit, leaving behind scratches and marks.
Once the deed was done Margot's body went limp and the culprit propped them up against the wall. The killer must've looked in the mirror and saw their injuries which is why they used the makeup in their bag to cover them up.
In the process since the killer was shaken up by what they've just done, they spilt face powder on the floor then tried to clean it up. Using paper towels, they did their best to wipe it away and flush it down the toilet which became clogged because of it. Their attempt was still useless because once the killer fled from the scene and back to their room there was still powder that could be found on the floor and on the toilet seat.
Masaru Yamaguchi: It can only be you, Asya Neyzi, the Ultimate Makeup Artist!
Asya Neyzi: ...
Winona Masuya: I can't believe it. Why?
Asya Neyzi: ...
Asya then reached inside her makeup bag and pulled out a pack of removal wipes. She wiped her face reveling two scratches on her left cheek and a mark under her chin.
Umeda Susumu: You really did it...
Asya Neyzi: You would have too.
Umeda Susumu: But I didn't. I won't lie I... I've thought about it okay? I mean this is my family we're talking about.
Umeda Susumu: But I couldn't think or bring myself to kill someone so don't you compare yourself to me or anyone else.
Asya Neyzi: Then you all don't love your families nearly as much as I do.
Nao Nakayama: You're a murderer and a hypocrite.
Asya Neyzi: You don't understand! My papa is all I have left. He's supported me in everything I wanted to do involving my career and never gave up on me.
Asya Neyzi: We weren't that financially stable but my talent allowed me to start a name for myself so that I can bring money into the house. It was my turn to take care of my papa like he's always taken care of me.
Asya Neyzi: I wasn't just going to stand here while he could be dead or enslaved by that sadistic bear!
Mizuno Okimoto: We do understand how you feel but murder is not the answer! We could've found another way out.
Asya Neyzi: Ha! Another way out? Don't kid yourself, there isn't one!
Matsuyama Michio: You don't know that.
Shoji Isao: Can we vote now?
Monokuma: Huh? Are we ready to vote?
Nao Nakayama: Let's get this over with.
Monokuma: Alrighty then! It's voting time!
Monokuma: Make triple sure you vote for someone! You wouldn't want to be punished for something so minor, right?
Masaru pulled the lever in front of him and soon a screen with their faces on it spun until it landed on a chibi face that resembled Asya.
Monokuma: Correct! The one who killed Margot Gibbs, the Ultimate Surfer was indeed Asya Neyzi, the Ultimate Makeup Artist!
Toma Nikolaev: So it is true.
Asya Neyzi: Yes. It is.
Priscilla Azumi: Why would you do such a thing? You could have ended Margot's life quickly but you chose a way that required her to suffer.
Asya Neyzi: You have no right to judge me! I was just doing what I thought was best—
Priscilla Azumi: You thought murdering a fellow classmate was the best decision?
Asya Neyzi: I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF MY PAPA WAS OKAY!
The courtroom fell silent and Masaru watched Asya silently weep to herself.
Arata Hisao: We all want to know if our families are safe but killing someone...
Asya Neyzi: I needed to know. Monokuma, tell me, is my papa safe? Is he hurt?
Monokuma: The only way to find out was if you graduate but you failed! Thems the rules!
Asya Neyzi: MONOKUMA!
Monokuma: ASYAAA HAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Monokuma: Few! All of this yelling is getting me fired up. You know what time it is...
Herb Sowle: The execution...
Matsuyama Michio: You can't possibly be going through with this.
Shoji Isao: Why are you stopping him? She's a murderer so she needs to face the consequences.
Asya Neyzi: Screw you.
Shoji Isao: Whatever you say, murderer.
Winona Masuya: Stop it. Asya is human just like the rest of us. You can't blame her for being worried about her father.
Masaru Yamaguchi: Do you not understand what the concept of a murder is?
Masaru Yamaguchi: You're making it seem like she stole someone's money out of their wallet. What she did was fall victim to the despair everyone else was experiencing; Asya is the only one that broke.
Masaru Yamaguchi: She took another person's life because of her selfish desire to figure out what happened to her father although everyone else was going through the same thing as her.
Masaru Yamaguchi: That's the truth.
Asya Neyzi: ... I don't expect you to understand. You didn't shed one tear during the motive. Priscilla's pretty strict as well but I could see the sadness in her eyes. Yours was vacant.
Masaru Yamaguchi: I have my reasons.
Shoji Isao: We all have our reasons why we reacted the way we did to our videos.
Asya Neyzi: ...I'm going to die, aren't I? Why can't you just tell me what happened before I go, Monokuma?
Monokuma: ...
Monokuma: It wouldn't be a despair inducing situation if I gave you closure before your punishment, now would it?
Monokuma: Now then, I've prepared a very special punishment for Asya Neyzi the Ultimate Makeup Artist.
Winona Masuya: You can't do this!
Matsuyama Michio: We will do our best to find out what happened to your father Asya; to all of our families. I promise.
Asya Neyzi: ... After all I've put you guys through, I don't deserve it.
Monokuma: Let's give it everything we've got, it's... PUNISHMENT TIMEEEEE!!!!
Asya Neyzi has been found guilty.
Time for the punishment!
Asya Neyzi Execution:
Beauty Standards!
Asya sat in front of a giant Monokuma and a timer set for five minutes hung above them. She had her makeup bag with her and needed to complete the large bear's makeup before the timer ran out.
Asya got to work and cleaned the Monokuma's face before applying foundation then concealer. She had trouble making sure the powder stuck to the mechanical bear but pushed forward. She continued adding more details such as blush and highlights as the time dwindled.
The time was almost gone and the last thing she needed to do was the Monokuma's lips but when she reached into her bag she could not find any source of lipstick for it was no longer in her possession.
The timer ran out with a loud alarm before the Monokuma she was working on opened up to reveal a giant eyelash curler that crushed her whole.
