Chapter 1: Secrets Split Between Lost Souls: (Deadly Life)

"A body has been discovered! All students please make your way to the gymnasium! The killing game is finally beginning!"

As Monokuma's announcement echoed throughout the gymnasium, Kaiya, Daniel and I were mortified on what we just saw...Rebecca's dead body. She laid their lifeless, cut open, and only a shell of her previously bubbly self.  Daniel was quick to interrupt the silence, followed by a very troubled Kaiya.

"W-W-W....WHAT THE FUCK!?"

"D-Dead...?"

I was hesitating on what I wanted to do at this point...should I run? Tell the others? Forget this whole thing just happened? Before I even made a decision to the two, a couple of others came in. They were Ryan, 13, Lora, Ernest and Daryll.

"What the hell happe-"

Ryan froze as he saw Rebecca's bloody corpse.

"Holy shit...! Rebecca..."

Daryll and Ernest looked at the body together.  Each very concerned with the implication.

"S-So...it's true what Monokuma said...?"

"...Honestly...I don't even fucking know...!"

13 examined Rebecca from a distance, with great shock.

"This...is such a tragedy..."

Lora, however, was more surprised than scared...it was a strange reaction for anyone.

"Hmm...this can't be a suicide."

Yeah...no shit!  I now tried to ask the question on everyone's minds.

"W-Who would even do this to one of us?"

Daniel continued with his shouting, which is justified this time. "This is...FUCKED UP! This HAS to be Monokuma! It has to!"

"Well...I guess it makes sense."

"Wrong!"

Just then, Monokuma appeared from a trap door from the stage, and came towards us.

"I didn't do anything....No, no, no, the killer of this incident is one of you..."

"D-Don't listen to him, guys! He's obviously lying...!" I shouted, still enraged by everything going on.

"Me, lie? I would never do that.... It's one of you, bear's honor. Besides...I forgot to add another rule to the regulations list."

Ryan tilted his head.  "And what is that?"

"Just this."

Monokuma grabbed a Monopad from behind his back, fiddled around with it, and a PING sound came from all of our Monopads. We all checked the regulations, scrolled to the very bottom of them, and there was a new rule added.

Regulation 7: The headmaster of the environment is forbidden to interfere with the students and harm them in anyway. An exception to this rule is made if a rule is broken...

...I can't really tell if he intended to forget that or not...

"Well...if it was one of us, who did it?"

But instead of him answering my question, he laughed it off.

"Phuhuhuhu! I'm not gonna tell you! Besides, that would ruin the fun...!"

"Damn it..." I grumbled under my breath.

Daniel had just barely called down a bit.

"Grrr...what should we even fucking do...?"

"Hold up...I have a quick question..."

Lora now stood out form the the crowd and in front of the bear.  He simply smiled back like always...

"Hmm...ask away."

She remained still faced as she went on.

"Someone is dead, that is clearly obvious, but that means someone has decided to become blackened. If that is the case, doesn't that mean one of us now is allowed to leave the school?"

Monokuma chuckled at Lora's question.

"Phuhuhuhu! Silly girl...There's more to becoming blacked than just killing someone, but before I go on, it seems the rest of your 'friends' have decided to show up..."

Jackson, leading the remaining students, now frantically made their way into the gym to assess the situation. Each one of them reacted in a typical manner. The Student president was just enraged.

"Who has done this? Which one of you could be so despicable that you would be willing to kill another person in cold blood...?"

The bear was just enjoying every minute of this...

"I was just about to get to that! So glad you all decided to actually show up! Now then, it's now time to tell you all the second part of the graduation procedure!"

Ryan, very concerned with what we needed do, simply decided to listen to Monokuma.

"Right. Explain to us. Just so we get what will happen here."

The bear now stood up. Everyone's Monopads now buzzed with an update. New rules had been added.

"Whenever a student has become blackened, shortly after the body is discovered, a class trial will begin!"

Great more rules...As if there wan't enough...

"So what is this class trial?"

"The class trial! A wondrous showdown between the blackened and the spotless students. It is here where everyone will try to determine who is responsible for the killing! Who done it? Why? How? All of this and more is found out in the thrill of the trial. But! You can't have a trial without clues! So before the trial, some time will be set aside in order to let you all investigate the scene of the crime. Keep in mind, this period doesn't last forever, so all of you will need to hurry to find out all you will need to pin the blackened for the crime.  Sounds simple right...?"

Takuma now looked a bit more confident.

"It wouldn't be a problem for me. I played LOTS of detective/mystery games in my spare time."

Hmm...a class trial to find the culprit like a lawyer...and finding clues like a detective. I guess it could be interesting...they will get justice for what they've done to Rebecca...the poor girl didn't deserve to suffer like...this.  A smile now appeared on my face.

"...Alright, we'll do it. Besides, I played as a prodigy defense attorney in a long-running show in the past. It'd be interesting to adapt my skills from the show, and gain new legit skills here."

Monokuma just looked at me with the same dumb grin.

"Phuhuhuhu. My, my, my, aren't we determined, but that's not all....At the end of the trial, all of you will vote on who you think the blackened is. If the decision you arrive at is correct, The blackened will receive punishment, while the rest of you get to continue with your school life here...However, if you pick the wrong choice, everyone but the blackened will received punishment, and they will be allowed to leave..."

Lora looked to the side.

"Hmph...sounds fair to me."

Kaiya, opposingly to Lora, was barely holding back her tears...

"S-S-She...didn't deserve to get brutally killed...W-W-WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Jackson ignored the clown's cries and continued interrogating the bear. But...poor Kaiya.

"So...it's all or nothing...but what type of punishment did you have in mind for the losing side...Do you mean like corporal punishment, school punishment, or-"

"Execution!"

...EXECUTION?! We were all shocked as he announced it to us.  Everyone was freaking out around me.

"My god..."

"That's just so...cruel..."

"I can't die, I have too much left I have to do!"

Their worry was quickly cut short by Jane, who now pulled us back into focus.

"Well, I suppose we have no choice, but to investigate this murder. It's the only way that we can continue on living."

Monokuma nodded in agreement.

"Right you are...Well then, I guess it's time for the investigation will begin! Good luck...you're going to need all you can get...Who will be victorious this time? I can't wait!"

And he was gone again...Kaiya simply looked at where he was standing, still not well...

"I-I-I...Is he gone?"

I walk up to Kaiya and tried to  comfort her.

"Yeah, he's gone. Don't worry. We WILL get whoever is responsible for this fucking mess..."

I say as I wiped away her fresh tears, some of them washing away bits of her white make-up, revealing some of her dark skin again.  Ryan, however, realized what we needed to do though.

"Well...I suppose we should get started."

As if on queue, Our leader now stepped forward to take charge.  Jackson tightened his tie before organizing the group.

"Indeed. We are on the clock, so we have no time to waste. With time in mind, we will need to split apart in order to cover the most ground. While I would have you in groups, I'm afraid this time we have more important things to worry about. With that said, please go on and try to find anything you can..."

Ryan understood.  "Right. I think I'll actually group with Jason and Kaiya. She could use some comforting anyway."

"Do as you think is best. We have no time to argue..."

And so everyone broke apart, leaving me to investigate with a small group...

[Investigation Start!]

I suppose that the first thing to investigate is Rebecca's body, as it's the most obvious place to check during a murder.

"Let's investigate the body, you two."

At the moment it seemed 13 had already beaten us to it. Right now, he was already examining the cut in her chest...Ryan looked over his shoulder to see for himself.

"Hmm...the cut on her chest...she was cut open with something sharp."

The strange boy simply spoke as he continued to poke and prod.

"Yes, but think...what could have made this cut? All weapons were locked away in unopenable lockers..."

That is true...maybe...

"Hmm...maybe it was one of the knives from the kitchen?"

"No, those were one of the first things to be locked up...whatever it was, it made a fairly good cut...too good..."

[Status of Rebecca's body added to the Truth Bullet section]

Then an interruption popped up out of nowhere, like he always does.

"Ahem! Forgive my forgetfulness, but there was one last thing I forgot to give out! The Monokuma file!"

Monokuma now gave each of us a specialize Monopad which seemed to have information about the murder on it. This seems to be a lot of useful things we could use...but why is he giving it to us...?  Kaiya, as if reading my mind, was the one to ask...

"W-Why are you going it to us, Monokuma?"

"Well, none of you actually know anything about forensic science, so I have happy provided the nasty details of the murder here in order to make sure you have such information...Your welcome.... "

I couldn't help but protest a bit about that...

"Wait, why can't we use forensic science? Like blood tests, fingerprinting, drug testing, and others like them?"

"Do you actually know how to do any of that?"

He asked with a sort of cocky grin on his smug bear face.

"W-Well...I've actually done some of them on my attorney show."

"And do you have anything you can use to actually do anything of that?

Damn, he's got me there.  With a sigh, I accepted defeat...

"No..."

"Exactly! Besides, why waste so much time when I can give you all you need in a cute little file?"

And gone...the bear was gone again...13 rolled his eyes and then looked at the tablet.

"Let's just read what the file says."

Monokuma File #1

[Victim: Rebecca Young]

-The body was found in the gymnasium at about 9am

-The time of death was believed to be last night at 12 am.

-The victim's body has a few bruises all over, and a large cut has been made in their chest. No organs have been touched.

-Victim was believed to be unconscious during the murder.

-Cause of death is believed to be blood loss linked to brain death.

"Hmm...a few bruises, huh? Maybe Rebecca was caught in a fight before she was murdered in the gym? There has to be some reason she was unconscious. Then again, the cause of death is also something of a mystery..."

I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to piece this new information to what we already looked at.

"Well, we need to figure out what it was firstly, and then the murder weapon used to commit the crime."

[Monokuma File added to the Truth Bullet section]

13 turned back to the body.

"Well there isn't one anywhere, but...wait, what?"

His hand stopped at one of Rebecca's sides.  Kaiya now peeked beside him to see for herself.

"W-What is it?"

The boy now pulled out a small bottle from within Rebecca's armor. It was a green makeup bottle, lacking a top. It smelt awful...

"A makeup bottle?"

Ryan held his nose as he observed the bottle.

"Dude, close it up, that stuff smells terrible! It's stronger than anything i've ever smelt..."

"I want to, but where's the top?"

13 tore off a portion of cardboard from Rebecca's armor and stuffed the bit into the bottle, the smell was now sealed, if not partially.

"This solves that problem..."

I looked at the sealed bottle one more time.  This is just out of place...

"Yeah, thanks. But why was it there? And how is it used in the crime scene?"

[Green Makeup Bottle added to the Truth Bullet section]

13 now leaned over the body again.

"I'll continue with the body examination, you three just go check elsewhere....hopefully, I can find some more stuff..."

"Right. Good luck, 13."

Slowly, the three of us walked away from the body to figure out what we needed to do now.  Kaiya seemed uncomfortable, unable to talk much, but Ryan seemed to be on point.

"So, where should we go now?"

Where should we go?  Only one place seemed to come to mind.

"Maybe we should look at her room? There could be something there..."

"Hmm...alright, makes sense to me."

And so, the three of us traveled to Rebecca's room, leaving the body to 13...After getting the door open, the three of us walked in. It honestly looked the same as it did yesterday.

"Huh. I thought it'd be different since she died."

Ryan now stepped forward to take charge at the moment.

"Yes, well...sometimes, looks can be deceiving. You go and check her drawers and closets, I'll look in the bathroom, and Kaiya will check the bed."

The clown gave a meek nod.

"R-Right...of course."

And so, we now split apart to examine the contents of the room. It didn't take long to find something.  Kaiya quickly spoke up to get my attention.

"I think I found something."

"What?"

I checked the floor where Kaiya was standing and found a few, odd drops of a green substance. It was dried to the floor...What was it?

"Huh. Looks strange."

The ultimate basketball player now came into the main room, having overheard our discovery.

"Oh, you found something?"

Kaiya nodded.

"Yep. Dried green substances."

Ryan made an odd face.

"That...doesn't sound right..."

I sighed and tried to get him refocused to the task at hand.  There actually was one question on my mind.

"Could it be the same stuff from the makeup bottle? It's green, like the bottle. So did it come from here?"

"Hmm..."

Ryan inspected the dried up green stuff from the floor, and compared it with the bottle.

"Well, it could be possible."

[Green Makeup Spill added to the Truth Bullet section]

"Whatever it is, seems to be covering this section over by her desk. Maybe we should search here some more..."

I stared at him a bit crossed.

Jason: "First, what did YOU find?"

He seemed a bit defensive.

"Nothing, the bathroom was fairly empty, but she does have a dragon luffa..."

Just when we were taking this seriously...a goddamn dragon luffa? I would have said something, when a new arrival to the room interrupted me. Jackson had walked in.  Stepping back from my friends, I went to speak with him.  He seemed surprised by our presence.

"Ah! It's you three...I see you all had the same idea as I had...."

"Ah, hey. Did you find anything, along with the others?"

"Not yet, but I have been trying to find out something...I need all of you to tell me something. Whose files did you receive? All I want to know is the name, nothing else. It was the motive, so I feel like it could aid in our investigation.."

I was a bit worried.  I don't know how Jane would feel if I told him I had her file.  Or worse, that I read it's contents.

"Well...you mean for the motive? Revealing the secrets of others?"

"I just want to know whose file you have. The name of the file's owner..."

That is too bad...right?

"W-Well..."

I hesitated for a bit. Should I reveal that I have Jane's file? I took a deep breath before replying to him.

"I have...Jane's."

He now wrote what I said down on a paper he had in his pocket.

"Thank you, and you two?"

Each of them took a second to debate internally, just like I did, but in the end they answered.

Ryan was first, "I had Ernest's."

Kaiya answered right afterward, "And I had Daniel's."

The class president finished writing and then continued to speak.

"And with that, I have what I needed from you three. To change the subject, have you guys found anything?"

"Well, we found some dry green stuff on the floor."

I point to the floor for him, pointing at the evidence.

"See?"

He looked for a second before taking it in...

"I see, and have you checked all the important locations, like the desk, personal bags, and the trash can for anything that could reveal some answers?"

Ryan now joined into our conversation with a little addition of his own.

"Well, I was checking the bathroom, while those two investigated the bed and drawers. But you have a point. Sometimes, the most important thing could be in the location you least suspect."

Kaiya had been ignoring everything, mostly to look in the locations Jackson just mentioned. She stopped when she made it to the trash can near the desk...

"Uh, Kaiya?"

"I think I found something important...."

"Like wha-"

She reached down and pulled out a file...Ryan looked at it in awe.

"Huh...a file?"

Jackson quickly grabbed it. He examined it carefully.

"Aha! This could be important! Let see whose file she has here..."

Lora... Jackson formed a surprised expression when he read the name.

"...Lora."

Ryan now seemed a bit angry.

"Well don't just stand there! If it was here, than it must have something incriminating inside! We have to read this one!"

I'm just gonna take a wild guess and say that she's not actually a Historian. Like she's actually a Soldier, or something...Jackson nodded and simply opened up the file. He took one look at the information inside, and his entire demeanor changed. The boy closed the file, and gave it back to Kaiya.

"Is something wrong...?"

Jackson didn't bother looking at Kaiya as she asked him if everything was alright.  He simply responded with a command.

"You three. Come with me. We need to investigate something else..."

His words were much more cold and demanding than before. Whatever he just saw, it wasn't good...

"So? Was there something juicy in the file of hers?"

Jackson glared at Ryan.

"Please stay quiet until we get there; then I'll talk about you about it."

Without any more questions, we all followed the student president as he now lead us down the hall, right over to Lora's room...He immediately knocked on the door loudly.

"Open up! You no longer have the right to hide anything...!"

After he knocked on her door loudly for a few minutes, it was still quiet.  The clown girl besides him still looked nervous.

"Uh, maybe she's just a heavy sleeper?"

Ryan was getting impatient.

"Ugh...let's just knock down the goddamn door."

"Lora, open the door! I know what you've been hiding, so stop being so stubborn..."

He was not pleasant with his tone. A deep anger rested behind his emotionless face.

"...Fuck it, I'll do it. Stand back, everyone."

I took a slow step back from the door...then I kicked down the door with all my might and strength, but toned down to avoid destroying the door and its hinges completely. The door slowly opened...revealing the room to all...

Red marks, much like the ones surrounding Rebecca covered the walls. Several sharp metal tools lined the room. And to make it worse, images of terrifying creatures littered every corner...

"A-A-A-Augh...!"

Kaiya went pale.

"I think I'm gonna...!"

Kaiya retches from the bloody, deadly images of death.  Jackson looked over at her, still serious.

"Please...hold it in... Lora...?"

"What the fuck is this...?"

A very defensive girl stood inside, holding a dagger close. She looked as if she would attack if we got any closer. Lora didn't say anything, she only stared at us...Jackson broke the silence...*

"So...it's really true...the information in your file, it's real...Explain yourself."

I couldn't take this mystery anymore.

"Just tell us the goddamn info, Jackson! What was in it!?"

I was getting legitimately scared at this point. Lora was pointing a dagger to us, threatening to cut us...or even kill us...!

"Speak up, Ultimate Cultist...You've already doomed yourself by hiding this from us, so at least come clean in the end..."

Ryan eyes widened.

"Wait..."

Kaiya could barely speak.

"C-C-Cultist...!?"

CALLED IT! ...Kinda...almost.  Lora's eyes were filled with rage.

"I have not done anything...Don't you dare take a step towards me or I will paint the walls in your blood..."

I was now very concerned.

"Uh, you do realize that threatening to kill us is just making it worse on yourself, right? For the murder of Rebecca. Did...you...kill her!?"

Her gaze was fixed on me.  She was so enraged she could barely speak.

"I just told you...I didn't do anything....you back off, now..."

"Well, then how come you're trying to kill us? Innocent people don't run away from crime scenes...or threaten others."

Jackson now walked in front of me.

"Stand back...I've got this..."

The student president now began to step forward, making Lora run towards him with murderous intent. For a second I thought he was about to sign his own death warrant, until...

*PSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTT!*

Lora fell to the ground, grabbing at her eyes...She seemed to be in pain...Jackson simply looked down, holding what seemed to be a small cologne bottle...

"Whoa...what the hell did you just spray her with? Garlic? Is she a vampire or something? Or is acid?"

Jackson chuckled before tossing the bottle over to me.

"While I did have us all give up our weapons, I did need a means to protect myself, so I got creative. Using an empty bottle of my own, and the lemons and other citrus fruits in the kitchen, I whipped myself up a nice little mace substitute...Came in handy, didn't it...?"

"Whoa, what are you? MacGyver?

"No, just a person who is used to angry students...While I am a good student president, not everyone thinks the same way. That's why I always like to have a little protection at all times..."

Lora rolled on the floor in pain while Jackson now grabbed a hold of the dagger, and gave it to Ryan.

"I want you to take this and place it with the others...do I make myself clear...?"

Ryan gave a little nod, and he and Kaiya now decided to escort the weapon to the locker rooms...

"Alright. You guys can handle that stuff. Jackson, if she gets dangerous again..."

I cracked my knuckles.

"Just say the word. I'll take care of the interrogation."

I turn to Lora.

"Start talking, vampire. Why were you trying to hide this demonic shit?"

"Ugh...I don't have to tell you shit!"

"Why the hell not?"

She still held at her eyes, but she faced towards me suddenly, speaking in anger.

"You never were supposed to come into here....You all are barking up the wrong tree like the fucking dogs you are..."

I sigh at her, and kneel down to talk to her on her level.

"Look...if you would've just talk about this stuff with us, I'm sure we would-"

She now tried to attack, until Jackson quickly gave her a kick, knocking her unconscious...

Jackson wiped his forehead.

"Just like Lionel University all over again...Are you okay?"

"Well?"

"Well, what?"

"Never mind...do we have to do this the hard way?"

He crossed his arms at me.

"I was just trying to keep her from harming anyone else...For now, we should try to find all we can in here that's connected to the case at hand..."

"Right...I didn't know you had such immense strength."

I got off the floor, and started investigating her demonic room, searching for the weapons.

"Come on, Jackson...help out a bit..."

I searched under her bed.

"Anything yet?"

"Not a weapon, but I think I found some evidence..."

"Oh? Share it with me."

He now placed a book down on top of the bed, where it was easy for me to see it. It's cover made it clear what it was. 'Daedric Book of Divine Sacrifice and Ritual'.

"Holy shit...what is this? The 'Book of the Dead'?"

Jackson shook his head.

"Not quite, but it is circled around Rebecca's death. Using the information in this we probably could find out all we need to know on the events surrounding her death..."

He now opened it to a certain page.

"Here it is..."

The page was shown in great detail how a sacrifice was to take place. Symbols, cuttings, and organ placement, each one was explained in great detail, however, the more I ready the more something felt off...but now wasn't the time for that. These clues really do point to Lora as the killer in this incident.

[Sacrifice book added to the Truth Bullet section]

"Well, this is...gruesome..."

"Indeed...and as for the murder weapon we have been looking for...we might need to head to the locker room...I think we already found it."

"Right...lead the way."

And so...we left the lair of the cultist one last time. It was a bit hard to believe that Lora was some sort of heartless killer, but after all that, how could I not? It didn't take long to return to the locker rooms. Paige, Kaiya, and William were the only ones there...

"Right...so, what's this murder weapon we're looking for?"

William was the first to notice our arrival...

"Ah! President Jackson, it is so good to see you. We just got the lockers open with the help of the bear so we could look through the weapons for anything missing. Sadly, we have had no such luck..."

Paige didn't really pay us too much mind.

"It would seems the lockers had remained unopened for the entirety of the night...Who would have thought of that...?"

The emotionless girl now put away one of the weapon boxes...

[Locker Weapons added to the Truth Bullet section]

Jackson took note of that.

"Well then. That is good to know...As for your question, Jason, this is what I was referring to."

Jackson now grabbed the dagger Ryan had moved over from Lora's room. It was a clean metallic knife, carved with demonic markings...

"Huh, a dagger. So clean, but creepy at the same time."

I shudder at the carved demonic ritual markings on the blade and handle.

"There is no doubt this is most likely our murder instrument. There was no other tools which could be used for cutting..."

"Is that so...? Well then, It sounds like you've found everything you were looking for... But I wonder......"

She trailed off on that last phrase, slowly walking out of the locker rooms. Who knew what she was up to...William just kind of looked around the lockers.

"Oh bollocks...This isn't good..."

Kaiya looked over to the actor.

"What's wrong, Will?"

The boy now rubbed at his hands.

"My bioluminescent paint is open...some of it spilt in the lockers...not to mention on my hands...This stuff stains like crazy. It's going to take at least 10 minutes of hard washing to get off..."

"...Your what paint?"

Kaiya was confused at William's big word.

"It's paint that has strong smells, and maybe toxic, I think?"

William shook his head.

"Yes...very toxic. But that isn't the charm of it! It is a wondrous paint which glows in the dark! It comes in such a colorful variety as well! I've got all 6 primary and secondary colors! It is such wonderful paint..."

"Hmm...what color was the paint that was used?"

"Someone had opened the green paint can. It honestly is the worst smelling of the bunch...I can barely stand it..."

Hmm...green paint from William's can...that seems important to know...

[Green paint can added to the Truth Bullet section]

Jackson now grinned confidently.

"Right then, thanks for sharing this information with us, William. It might be important to the case."

"Do not mention it, Jackson....Glad to be of service..."

The actor now went back to messing with the paint.

"Alright then...anywhere else to go now for more clu-"

[Ding, Dong, Bing, Bong]

Wait, the bell? Does that mean...? I almost finished my thought until Monokuma came up on one of the screens nearby.

"Had fun with that little investigation? Good! Well let's get this train of excitement moving! If everyone would please look at your maps, a new icon has been added! Please make your way to the trial ground! I'll be waiting!"

With that, the TV switched off, causing most of us to look at the maps. The icon was a gavel in a large room. It simply read 'Trial Room'. So...it's time.  The student president now put down his monopad.

"So the time has come to identify the guilty among us...Are you ready, Jason?"

I gulped to myself. I was going to a trial that can either make or break someone's life, or my own...But, I have to man up and grow a pair.

"...Yes. Let's go."

William stood in a pose.

"Come now, we have a crook to catch..."

Kaiya meekily stood behind him.

"I'm just following you guys..."

With that, the four of us now walked down the hall to a set of red doors. Within, everyone else was waiting. Ryan and Daniel were holding Lora's arms in order to prevent her from attacking again.

"I see that you're restraining the cultist."

Daniel scowled at me.

"It's about damn time you guys showed up. This girl is really stubborn! I can't wait until we get down there and I don't have to do this anymore...

"Well, she did try attacking me earlier on, but thanks to Jackson's Citric Acid mace, I just avoided her rage. She didn't attack YOU guys...right?"

Ryan chuckled.

"She never had the chance..."

One final person arrived in behind us...it was Paige.  She stood by my side and simply looked towards the elevator doors.

"Sorry...I just had to check something one last time before I got here...are we all set?"

"I...think we are."

Looks like the gang's all here. I was staring at the elevator door behind the rest of the group. Looks like the room is on another floor...must be that big, huh? As I finished that thought, the double doors to the elevator opened.  The class president stepped in first, without any second thought.

"Ah, must be time."

The Ultimate Mad Scientist joined him in next, followed by a few of the others.

"Let's just fucking do this already..."

Now I, following those before me,  climbed aboard the elevator as well.

"Yes. For everyone's sake."

We all crowded on to the elevator, and without a second to spare, it slowly buzzed to life, sending us downwards into the bowels of the school. Everyone seemed tense on the ride down, eyes glancing at one another, thinking about how everything played out last night. I personally couldn't help looking over at Lora. Something didn't seem right about all this, but we were about to get this all figured out.

The entrance to the trial grounds was almost upon us. It was at this point that all the questions flying around my head rushed through me all at once. Who did this? Why? How? All of these puzzles took up my focus. One of the people on this elevator is a murderer, responsible for the death of Rebecca. She was one of the most innocent of all of us, killing her is something I could not forgive.

Questions, possibilities, secrets, for her, I will find the answers...

The doors to the elevator now opened up, welcoming us to the first trial of this Killing Game...so, Monokuma...game on.
