Please! Please Stop!

Everyone came running in at his scream. They all stopped, staring at the horrifying picture unraveled before them.

Someone had drawn a picture of Cassie. The sidewalk chalk was the clear culprit, various tiny pieces scattered about the floor. Cassie stared in shock, looking at the picture in utter speechlessness.

The silence between them was broken when Chase made a small remark.

"Damn, we've got a hell of a good artist other than Damien."

Wyatt swallowed the bile that rose and took a tiny step back. "Who would do this?"

Thane laughed, the volume growing until he was giggling hysterically in despair. "Who would do any of this? Huh? WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD EVEN PUT US THROUGH THIS!?" Thane yelled. He grabbed Griffin by the collar, yanking him forward until they were nose to nose. "TELL ME!" Thane screamed.

Chase and Harmony walked forward, tugging Thane back. Griffin stumbled back, his hand flattening down his collar. "This guy's gone crazy!"

Thane collapsed to his knees. "Stop this," he said in shaky whisper.

Star walked forward. "Well, there's two people we need to put in custody." She turned to Cassie and Thane. "Let's keep watch of Cassie to make sure she doesn't die, and Thane to make sure he doesn't break away and try to kill someone."

Griffin nodded. "I agree."

Chase yanked Thane up. "I'll take him to the infirmary," he said, putting his hand to Thane's forehead. "His body temperature is a bit high from the pressure."

Harmony nodded. "I'll come, too."

The two of them left, dragging Thane with them as his head rolled around like a drunk man's.

Wyatt looked over to Cassie. "Gotta keep you safe," he managed, walking to her.

Star nodded. "Actually, I need Wyatt for something. Griffin, will you and Sophie watch Cassie?"

Griffin nodded. "Sure."

Star nodded in relief. "Come on. I want you to help me investigate. It's obvious that whoever wrote this message is the same person who killed AlterAssassin."

Wyatt nodded. "So...how are we supposed to find out?"

"We can't exactly figure it out exactly, but getting an idea might help. Just in case, you know..." Star hesitated. "Never hurts to start things beforehand."

Wyatt swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded. He looked at the drawing. It was rather low on the wall. Wyatt pointed. "The person who drew this was short? Chase, then? Harmony? Cassie?"

Star shrugged. "There's two possibilities. Either the person was stupid and basically revealed their height, or they were smart, and they purposefully did it so that they would remove the suspicion on them."

Wyatt groaned. "So this information is useless crap."

"Not quite. We can use it later," she said. Star turned to the doorway that lead out to the pedestal. "Let's go investigate AlterAssassin."

Wyatt nodded, following her out of the room. They opened the door, and found Griffin standing there.

Star took a small step back. "Hey there. What are you doing?"

Griffin looked up. "I wanted to examine AlterAssassin for clues. I have a bit of background on forensics, too. Of course, not as good as Harmony." He smiled sheepishly. "Sophie said she wanted to take Cassie somewhere and wouldn't let me go. I got bored, checked on Thane, and then proceeded to come over here."

Wyatt let out a small laugh. "Great alibi, if this were murder."

Griffin looked over. "Look at this." He pointed to a small scratch on the metal. There's a scrape, like the paint chipped off. There's only two things in this place I thought up of that could do such a thing." He held up one finger. "Knives, or twine. String."

Star nodded. "I agree."

Griffin shrugged. "I also found the tarp that the person used to cover up the light." He motioned for them to look under the table. "Here."

Wyatt's jaw dropped. It was, indeed, the tarp, folded neatly and tucked under the table. "How the hell did we not notice?"

"Beats me."

Star stood up. "We still don't have many clues. Knives, could belong to Cassie. But why would she set up something like this?"

Wyatt thought for a moment. "Wait a second," he said. "The video. Wasn't their eye color blue? That would take out a lot of people."

Star nodded. "Yes, but it's easy to alter the lighting so that your eyes appear a different color. Or contacts."

Wyatt groaned. "So depending on the eye color isn't reliable at this point."

"Remember. The other thing that could have made this was string," Griffin said. "And from what I think, there's only one person who would use string to do this."

"Thane?" Wyatt asked.

"Exactly."

Wyatt groaned. "This is confusing."

Griffin examined the pieces of AlterAssassin. "I don't know," he sighed. "This is a factory, so I could fix him."

Star looked over from where she was examining. "Really?"

"Never tried. But there's a first time for everything. Might as well put this useless metal and screws to work."

Dagger walked in, a small smile on his face. His fist was bleeding, and the other hand was clutching a piece of mirror. "What's that I hear? You want to fix him?"

Wyatt's face twisted into a scowl.

Dagger looked over. "Don't be so hostile, Wyatt. After all, you wouldn't have even found this place without me." He smirked. "Right?"

Wyatt's hand formed a fist. "Yes, Master," he said through his teeth.

Dagger giggled. "Hehe! Haha!" He snapped his fingers. Griffin, with a shout, dropped the computer. It landed on the table.

Dagger walked forward, taking long fast strides until he reached the table. He gathered up all the pieces, smirking. "Can't let you do that. The brat is dead. Let him rest in peace." With that, Dagger left, disappearing suddenly.

Wyatt bit down on the inside of his cheek. "Dammit," he seethed in anger.

They heard the faint voice of Dagger, like wind. "Heard that. By the way, you might want to check on the others."

Wyatt's eyes widened as he took off in panic. He ran to the door, throwing it open. He ran down the staircase, Star and Griffin in pursuit. Wyatt ignored the way his stomach growled in protest and instead picked up his pace, stumbling down the halls of the first floor.

They heard a scream coming from Cassie's room. "No!" Star yelled.

Wyatt managed to reach the door, turning the doorknob. It wouldn't budge. Griffin tackled him into the door, which fell down with a loud crash and sent up a plume of wood shavings.

The three of them stared in shock.

Thane slowly turned to them, a small, sad smile on his face. His black jeans were stained in pink. There was a coil of string around his right wrist. "She's gone," he hoarsely whispered, before dropping to the floor.

"Ding dong ding dong! A body has been discovered! You will have a limited amount of time to investigate before we hold the Fifth Trial! AHAHAHAH!"
