The Old Building

As our small group headed to the decided location, I couldn't help but be a little nervous. I was walking at the back of the group, Mai and Willow ahead of me, and Kazuki in front of them. We all had our hacking guns out, though there weren't many Monokumas around to use them on. No one spoke as we walked in eerie silence.

"Is that it?" I asked, pointing at a tall, dark building nearby. It looked as if it had been abandoned long before the tragedy, as plants were growing up the sides. Even though it looked extremely old, it seemed secure, with no smashed windows and a large steel door.

"Yeah, that's it." Kazuki replied. "Once we get inside, everyone stay together. We don't know what's in there."

"Roger that!" Mai exclaimed, slipping her hand into Willow's, causing the other girl to smile.

"How long have you two been together...?" I couldn't help but ask, seeing how cute they were being.

Mai gasped, looking back at me. "How'd you know? Are you psychic?!"

"No, you're just terrible at hiding it." Kazuki answered for me. "Everyone knows you're together."

"For a month, I think." Willow answered my question. "We got together right after the killing game...."

I nodded with a small smile. "Well, you're really cute together."

"Thanks..." Willow muttered, and we finally reached the building.

Walking up the front steps, we first approached the door. Kazuki tried pulling it open a few times, but it was no use. The door was definitely locked.

"I guess we should look around the back." Willow said, before Kazuki shook his head and pulled a paperclip out of his pocket. He crouched by the handle and began working away.

Mai gave him a confused look. "Since when do you know how to pick a lock?"

"Someone taught me at Hope's Peak..." Kazuki replied. "I just remembered recently."

It wasn't long before Kazuki got the door open, and he led the way inside. I looked around at the empty, dimly lit room. Many of the tiles on the floor were cracked, and the wallpaper was peeling away.

We walked further in, and as we did our footsteps echoed throughout the room. Just as we were about to enter a hallway to our left, the sound of a door slamming stopped us in our tracks. I quickly turned around, and saw no one, just the front door that was now fully shut.

Mai let out a small squeak, clinging to Willow's arm. "This is freaky! I don't like it...."

"Well, at least we know someone's here..." Kazuki said, "Come on, let's keep moving."

We continued down the hallway, and everything was the same. Empty and abandoned looking. I was beginning to doubt that anyone was actually here, and that it was just the wind that closed the door. That was until the humming started.

The quiet sound of someone humming came from ahead of us. Everyone stopped, hearing the sound, and as I looked ahead, seeing a door at the end of the hallway, I knew it had to be coming from that room.

Kazuki gestured for us to follow as he took careful steps towards the door, but soon stopped. There was more humming, but this time coming from behind us. We all turned around, and standing there was a girl who didn't look much younger than me.

The girl had short dark purple hair, pale skin, and violet eyes. She wore a black shirt with the long sleeves rolled up, and a white skull printed on the front. She had a dark purple skirt that almost matched her hair, and white boots.

"Ooh~ looks like we have some intruders." The girl said with a small giggle. "I wonder what master will think of this. Don't you, Kei?"

I looked behind us to see a boy that looked nearly identical to the girl. He had slightly shorter hair, and his outfit was the same except he had purple jeans instead of a skirt.

"Yes Rei, I think he'll be pleased. He said it was getting boring, after all." Kei replied.

"Who are you two?" Kazuki asked, looking back and forth between them.

Rei skipped over to stand beside the boy, and both wore twisted smiles on their faces. "We're the Akagawa twins, pleased to meet you~." They both said in unison, tilting their heads. This sent a chill down my spine, these kids were really creepy.

"Who's your master...?" Kazuki hesitantly asked.

The twins giggled. "Right this way~!" They said together again, skipping past us. Mai, Willow, and Kazuki walked behind them, and I reluctantly followed.

The two of them led us upstairs and into a large room with floor-to-ceiling windows at the back wall. This room wasn't completely empty as the last ones were, and had a couch with a small table in front of it. On the couch laid a young man with a button up shirt. His blond hair was a little messed up, and his brown eyes were focused on the book in his hands. As soon as I saw him, I felt my throat tighten. I knew him.

"We have visitors, master." Rei said as she and her brother stood in front of the table.

The man closed his book, tossing it carelessly aside as he sat up, looking over the group of four. He smiled at us, but it didn't seem like a welcoming one.

"Ah, if it isn't some of my favourite people." He spoke, standing up. "Akiyama, White, Ikeda... and Kazuki. I missed you the most, you know."

"Cut the crap, Michio. We're taking you back with us, willingly or otherwise." Kazuki retorted.

Michio only laughed. "You really think it'd be that easy? Look at you all, you don't even have real weapons! I have control over the Monokumas in the area, and these twins would kill for me without a second thought. The one with the most physical ability you have is Akiyama, and she's an idiot!"

"Hm, he's right, we shoulda thought this through better..." Mai pointed out, ignoring the insult.

"You four made a mistake coming here so unprepared. I have the perfect weapon to use against you." Michio said, a smirk growing on his face. "Now, who should I have killed first~?"

"Okay, okay, we messed up, we didn't know you'd be here, just... let us go, please?" Kazuki asked nervously.

Michio chuckled. "You're still so cute, Kazuki, but I'm afraid I can't do that." He then looked directly at me, and I felt myself freeze in fear. He snapped his fingers, a smile on his face. "Ikeda, kill them."

Although my mind was screaming not to listen, my body seemed to move on its own. I dropped my hacking gun, tilting my head as a grin formed on my face. "Who first?"

"Start with... hmm, White seems like a good choice." Michio replied. "Make it painful."

"Of course~." I responded. I looked at the shocked girl, cracking my knuckles. That's when I ran at her.
