Confrontation

Before we could leave the room, Toki raised her voice once again. "Satchiko and Ikeda-chan, you stay here. I have to talk to you."

I gave a small nod, and couldn't help but feel nervous. Did the others tell her what I did while I was still asleep?

Soon, everyone else had left to explore the area, and I was left with the two older girls. Both were silent for a moment, before Toki stepped towards me. I looked up into her grey eye with a slight shudder.

"I heard about what happened." She simply stated, staring down at my shorter figure.

"I-I'm so sorry! I didn't want to, I swear! It's just..." I trailed off, not knowing what else to say.

Toki was quiet for a moment before giving a small nod. "I know. I can only imagine what he did to you before we found you. Hopefully, we'll find a way to fix it."

I just stared at her in shock for a few seconds before responding. "You... believe me? B-but, I almost...."

"I've seen what that man is capable of. Combine that with the fact that Ikeda-kun received a picture of you tied up... it's really not a surprise." Toki replied.

My eyes widened, and I shook my head. "N-no... Akio didn't see me back then, did he? I was a mess! I-is that why he..."

"That's not important." Toki quickly cut me off, though I caught a hint of emotion in her expression before she turned to Satchiko. "I'm assuming your panic attacks have improved?"

Satchiko nodded. "Yeah, th-they happen less now... a-and you already know, but just hearing his name d-doesn't cause them anymore."

"That's a relief... I'm glad you're getting better, Satchiko." Toki said with the smallest of smiles. "Then, I'll go join the others." Toki turned to leave, but before she could go I spoke up.

"Abukara-san... why did you tell everyone your name's Jikkō?" I asked, and she stopped in her tracks.

"I like to keep my identity a secret, it's bad enough Tomi's been telling everyone we meet my real name." She sighed. "I don't trust these people, so while we're here, call me Jikkō." Toki then left without another word.

I looked back to Satchiko, who had slowly made her way towards me. Her blue eyes weren't meeting my gaze.

"Um... i-if you're okay with talking about it... w-what did Michio do to you?" Satchiko asked quietly.

"Mostly just... mental...stuff, with electric shocks... I-I can't remember all of it..." I hesitantly replied, shuddering at the memories.

"I-I'm sorry... that's horrible..." Satchiko replied, then pointed to the scar on her face. "He gave me this... a-and more."

"He really has to be stopped... I can't believe someone can be this cruel." I muttered, shuffling on my feet.

Satchiko nodded. "He wasn't always, b-but, you're right...." She paused for a moment. "Let's go join the others."

"Okay." I replied with a nod, and with Satchiko, I left the room.
