I woke up in my dorm, and noticed some tablet-looking thing on my bedside table. There was also a note attached to it.

'This is is Electronic Student Handbook, also known as the e-Handbook. This is essential to your school life as it has your name, information, and rules and regulations!' -Monokuma

I took it and turned it on. It displayed my name. At the top were two buttons: Student Information, and Rules and Regulations. The rules were: 

Rule #1: Students may reside only within the school. Leaving campus is an unacceptable use of time.

Rule #2: "Nighttime" is from 10 pm to 7 am. Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution.

Rule #3: Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory will be seen as sleeping in class and punished accordingly.

Rule #4: With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy at your discretion.

Rule #5: Violence against headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras.

Rule #6: Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes "blackened" will graduate, unless they are discovered.

Rule #7: Once a murder takes place, a class trial will begin shortly thereafter. Participation is mandatory for all surviving students.

Rule #8: If the guilty party is exposed during the class trial, they alone will be executed.

Rule #9: If the guilty party is not exposed, they alone will graduate, and all remaining students will be executed.

Rule #10: Lending your e-Handbook to another student is strictly prohibited.

Rule #11: The guilty party may only kill a maximum of two people during any single "Killing Game.

"Rule #12: Attempting to break into locked rooms is strictly prohibited.

Rule #13: Additional school regulations may be added if necessary.

So those are the rules...well, I better head to the dining hall. I exited my dorm and left to go to the dining hall. The other students were already there.

"So I guess we'll have a trial if someone dies, huh?" Kohiro said.

"Well, Saimatsu's an attorney, so she can help us find the true killer!" Harukaito said cheerfully.

"How the hell can you be so calm?" Deyes said angrily.

"Obviously, no one will kill each other. And besides, help will come on the way, right?" Harukaito replied.

"Are you referring to the police?" Saimatsu said.

"No shit sherlock..." Deyes said. 

"Rise And Shine, Ursine!" five voices yelled, and the Monokubs appeared out of the ground.

"Sorry, but we have Monobeasts that'll stop the police!" Monotaro said.

"Monobeasts. Are robot. Beasts", Monodam said. 

"There's also Exisals which we control", Monokid said.

"No one can stop us", Monosuke said.

"And no one can rescue you", Monophanie said, and with that, they disappeared into the floor.

"Damn it!" Deyes muttered.

"Are you really going to believe them?" Naegiri said.

"Huh?" Deyes said, confused.

"You're going to believe everything the Monokubs tell you? You're going to believe over your friends?" Naegiri replied, with some fierceness in her voice.

"What gives you the right to call us your friends? We met only yesterday and we're friends? What kind of belief is that?" Deyes said, annoyed.

"Hey! What the hell's wrong with you?" Hinanami said.

"Well fuck you too!" Deyes said angrily, and he stormed off. Tarta, however, ran to him.

"Stop it!" he said to Deyes.

"Why should we, off all people be friends? You're a builder. I'm a demolition expert. You build, I destroy! Now go away!" Deyes said and he punched Tarta in the face. He walked off. Tarta slowly got up.

"I'm okay..." he said.

Everyone looked reluctant at that statement, but didn't bother him about it too much.

"Well then...we should explore the school, come back here, and report what we saw I guess?" Meizu said timidly.

"Yeah, let's do that", Artigat said with a nod. With that, everyone left.

After exploring, we found out other than the dorms, gym, and dining hall, there was a warehouse stocked with plenty of stuff. There was also a pool with a exercise and dressing room. A nurse's office, and a library were available too. However, there were stairs leading up to another floor, but they were blocked off by a gate. By the time we were done, it was evening. Suddenly, the monitors turned on.

"This is a school announcement. Everyone come to the gym immediately!" 

Monokuma's message ringed through my ears as I hurried to the gym. Monokuma was waiting along with everyone else.

"Now that everyone is here...I have a message. There is a traitor among you! They're a spy for me!" he yelled joyfully.

"What? Now way! It's impossible!" people muttered.

"It's true! In fact, they're dorm doors, unlike the rest of your dorm doors, can be lockpicked. If you were to go in, you'll find an arsenal of weapons! And one last piece of information. The traitor has also been involved in the deaths of Tarta's and Deyes' parents!" Monokuma yelled as he disappeared.

Everyone was shocked, but went to bed.

I woke up, tired, after Monokuma's morning announcement. I got out of bed, and left my dorm when I smelled...blood. I looked around and noticed someone on the ground nearby. I went closer...and I realized I was looking body that was so badly burnt, that I couldn't even recognize the person.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" I forcefully screamed. The other students that weren't in their dorms (The dorms are soundproof so people in the dorms couldn't hear Ryotaro's scream) rushed over and when they noticed the body, the screamed.

"WHAT?"

"SHE'S DEAD?"

*Ding Dong Ding Dong*

"A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time which you can use to do whatever you want, a class trial will begin!" 

Monokuma came out of the ground. 

"Well then! Someone died! I wonder who? Well then, after some time, there will be a class trial! You can investigate, talk, have fun, or whatever! Also, here's a present...which I present! It's the Monokuma File!" He handed a file to each of us, which said: 'Monokuma File 1', and he disappeared back into the ground.

So it's true...someone's dead...I better investigate and discover the true culprit of the case...
