Side: Despair 1: Hello Again, Hope's Peak Academy
OMG Where do I begin!? This episode literally screwed with out minds BIG TIME in the beginning and made us shout like crazy throughout it! Let's try to go through everything.
WHAT! THE! HELL!? Is Chisa ALIVE!? What the hell is going on? This is really confusing, but we have no answers yet. Is she watching her death? What is this?
Aw, who cares. Only things that matters is MY SHIP LIVES!!!!!! We better get some Chisuke somewhere in one of these arcs! Chisuke is what I see is becoming the official ship name for Chisa x Kyosuke.
The things she said in the beginning there... There's a bit there.
First off, "A tale of hope that ends in despair". We already knew this was how the arc was going to go. The Future arc will probably be the opposite. A tale of despair that ends in hope, and hopefully some canon Naegiri.
But, I find this bit interesting. "Will it have a bad ending? Hmm... I wonder." What could she mean by this? We all are expecting a bad ending, the Ultimate Despair being born and Chiaki dying, but is that that simple? Can a tale of hope that ends in despair have a happy ending? Let's see.
The opening. AWESOME! I loved it, but there's something... interesting here.
Mukuro. Mukuro motherfucking Ikusaba.
Now, I think we were all expecting this, really. Junko being there to form the Ultimate Despair and Mukuro helping her, but the opening just revealed Mukuro without a second thought. And where's Yasuke? He played a big part in the forming of Izuru!
Speaking of Izuru, he's also in the opening. I'm getting some bad feelings here...
Also, the thing that bothers me about the opening is why is Junko wearing the bow in her hair? Only Mukuro wore that for her disguise in the first game. Could that be important?
I CALLED IT! I MOTHERFUCKING CALLED IT! Look at the end of the last chapter and you will SEE me calling Chisa in this arc! Though, I wasn't expecting Shadi Smith, I mean Koichi. He makes sense though.
And here he is folks. JIN! KIRIGIRI! The man who we've all forgotten about! Kinda. Anybody else forget he would have to be in this arc?
Damn it. One look at the picture, and I didn't even have to see her face, but I got the FEELS! Poor Kyoko...
Okay, this is bullshit. What's wrong with this picture? 2 things.
1. Even though classes are optional, Kazuichi would still be there to fawn over Sonia. Even though he has no chance with her and she will eventually become Gundam's.
2. Again, even though classes are optional, Fuyuhiko being there is a MASSIVE discrepancy. First, the classes are optional, and he does NOT seem like the type to go to class willingly if it's optional. Second, WHY IS PEKO NOT THERE!? Sure, Fuyuhiko wants to keep their relationship a secret, probably, but there's no way Peko would distance herself from him! Geez, this is confusing.
I'm digging the new introduction style! And the music, man! It's super catchy!
Ah, Sonia. I can tell that you're going to continue being awesome during this anime. I'm so happy all my precious babies are back!
Yay! Mikan's here! She seems even more self-conscious than usual, but she's just as adorable!
And the fan service is back. I have mixed feelings about this.
Fuck you, Hiyoko. You better not be a total bitch during this anime.
And this is where Chisa's popularity skyrocketed faster than Fuyuhiko's during the Chapter 2 trial.
She is awesome! Who else loves this woman already?
She can even stand up to Fuyuhiko! Look! She gets his respect!
You know, I think Fuyuhiko likes badass women that wield swords. *wink wink nudge nudge*
And he's back! Nekomaru, one of my favorites! What an entrance, huh? At first I was like "Who'd be in the bathroom?" Then I thought "Oh yeah. Here he comes!"
You know, I think that everyone can agree to just pretend Teruteru's segment didn't happen? Good. Thank you.
I think Akane's boobs give her superpowers. How else can you explain how she climbed up there?
"We caught a classmate!" Sonia, you are amazing.
And Akane just flails on the cross. Hilarious.
THERE IT IS! I've been waiting to see how they'd treat Kazuichi's "nightmare fuel face" in the anime! And the result is amazing!
Gas mask. Nice touch, Chisa.
Okay, Gundam is a wizard. Confirmed. From the thing he pulled off during his execution, to his army of dark animals in the Future Arc, to this, he has to be.
Maybe Hope's Peak Academy is secretly a school for superheroes? Gundam, Nekomaru, Akane, Chisa's got crazy sword skills, the Ultimate Impostor could be considered having the superpower of disguise.
Can... Can someone explain to me why Ibuki was yelling "hormones"? Please? I'm very confused.
Though, Ibuki is totally Ibuki. I'll give them that.
I knew it. From the camera angle, I knew Peko was about to take someone's head off. Though, I will say that Peko is Peko.
Okay, so Chisa's in charge of stopping Teruteru's perversion. Like Nagito during Chapter 1.
Speaking of Nagito...
Geez, what an introduction. Though, this can further support my superpower theory. Poor Kazuichi...
Okay, serious talk here. Who else is REALLY FUCKING HAPPY that we got nice calm happy Nagito instead of crazy insane bananas bagels Nagito? Though, I do want him to eat a bagel. If he does, about most of the watchers will faint.
Gundam is already filling in his awesomeness quota. Well, he filled in his episode quota when he was introduced, but this should put him quite a way into his season quota.
Just look at the Four Dark Devas! Cham-P has a broom! For those unfamiliar with their names, Cham-P is the little chubby hamster. He is always the little chubby one.
Wait, wait wait waaaaaaaaaait a second. The Impostor's inside the former student dorm? "Former Student Dorm"? Ryota's a member of the 77th class along WITH the Ultimate Impostor, so there's really no excuse for his name to be on a door. According to the wiki, he only stopped being Byakuya Togami and started impersonating Ryota after the 78th class, Makoto's class, started attending. But... what? I'm confused.
And he gets dragged away. The humor in this arc is phenomenal!
ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod
OH
MY
GOD
THE HINANAMI IN THIS SCENE ALONE MADE ME INTERNALLY FREAK OUT!
Who else was practically squealing along with me?
My ship lives again! Oh god, Hinanami... I need it... I WANT IT! GIVE ME LIVING HINANAMI YOU BASTARDS! DON'T KILL CHIAKI OR I WILL KILL YOU!
And Chiaki is hilarious! Getting all excited about her game and getting in Hajime's face. (I bet she wanted to get closer. *wink wink nudge nudge*) Some people think she's overrated. I love her, but I'm thinking she's like the perfect or best character. She's a really good one, but not immortal. If she was, there's more grounds for my superpower theory.
Oh, but poor Hajime. All the mean things people said. I feel bad. It's really sad seeing him like this. Hopefully Chiaki can sheer him right up.
This was the moment I burst into laughter.
I love the comedy! I know this will probably turn really dark eventually, but I'm loving all the humor and laughs currently! This is great! Seriously, who else just couldn't stop laughing at this part?
Aww, Chiaki's helping Hajime understand he doesn't need a talent. I WANT MOREEEEEEEEE!
GOD, SHE WAVED AT HIM! I CAN'T TAKE IT! JUST MAKE OUT ALREADY!
Why's Chiaki look interested in Chisa? Does she know or suspect something? Or is she just listening to what she's saying? Seems like something to take note of.
So, Kyosuke built Future Foundation. Or at least, the building it's in. This is gonna be important, I just know it.
Like, he's gonna know about some emergency exit to escape the killing game in the Future Arc, or something insane. Like, maybe he was originally in charge of Future Foundation, but something happened so he let Kazuo in charge or something. THIS IS IMPORTANT, I SWEAR!
Aww. That picture of the three of them is pretty heartwarming.
And then comes the Nagito-sung ending. Great!
Anybody hear Undertale music during the start of the ending? Like, it sounded a bit like Save The World. You know, the Asriel theme? The opening bit was Hopes And Dreams? Look it up on YouTube, you'll see what I mean.
What...
What!?
WHAAAAAAAAAAAT!?
Okay, who's looking at Hajime's profile!? And what the hell is "Kodaka High School"? Isn't Kodaka the name of the guy who created the DR3 anime?
Okay, I looked it up. Kodaka Kazutaka was the original creator of both the arcs. How ironic that his name contains "Ko", "Kazu", and "Taka"? Three really cool DR characters. Funny.
But back to this, who's looking at the profile? The guys in charge of the Izuru Kamakura project? That seems like it'd be too many. Actually, I don't know how many people were a part of the project. I just know Yasuke was involved or something.
Speaking of which, WHERE IS YASUKE!? He has to show up by the end of the anime. If Izuru is "born" without Yasuke showing up, I'll be pissed.
Anyway, that's all for this episode! I think this one was a lot better than the Future Arc's first episode. This one was certainly more mindfucky in a way. With Chisa watching her death and Kyosuke making the Future Foundation building. This one was great! I ALREADY WANT MORE!
Okay, that's it for now. See you guys next time for episode 2 of the Future Arc! AKA actually making progress in the anime!
This is Emerald-kun, signing out! Peace!
