Chapter Two: The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing (Daily Life) (Part 1)

Ding Dong! Bing Bong!

I woke up to the sound of the morning announcements.

Monokuma: "Ahem... your precious Headmaster has an announcement to make. Goooood morning everyone! It is now 7am! Looks like today is gonna be another perfect, tropical day! Now then, let's show some enthusiasm and make sure to give it our all today!"

Give it our all he says.

I wonder.... is he talking to us... or World Ender?

Mononeko: Hey Sora, are you up?

I look up to see Mononeko lying in bed with me.

Sora: Yeah. What's up?

Mononeko: We should head to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

Sora: Sure. You think the others will be gathered there?

Mononeko: I hope so. There's actually something I need to discuss with everyone.

Sora: Alright then. In that case, let's get going.

I got out of bed as Mononeko hoped on my shoulder. We headed to the kitchen together. As expected, some of us are missing.

Artoria: Sora, you're here.

Sora: Looks like there are fewer people than usual.

Alicia: Well, Eve and Crimson are both dead. Meanwhile, Mia and Seiketsu decided not to come.

Mononeko: I see... it's that bad huh?

Prix: I guess that's what trust gets you. Even I probably wouldn't have shown up if it wasn't for the fact Angel was hungry for breakfast.

Anna: You're fine. We actually should probably discuss this World Ender stuff anyway.

Frostwing: Right. Otherwise our whole group will fall apart.

Mononeko: Well, about that...

Angel: What is it, Neko?

Mononeko: ... Well, Monokuma has an important announcement to make.

Satoka: What kind of announcement?

Mononeko: It's one regarding this island. So tonight, before the Nighttime Announcement, we'll need everyone to report to the kitchen.

Artoria: Right. For now, let's eat.

We spent the morning eating together with some small talk. Anna was being a bit clingy with Artoria.

Artoria: Hey, Anna. Not so close...

Anna: Aww but I wanna know how you like my cooking.

Sora: Hm? Kanzen didn't make this?

Strawberry: No... Kanzen apparently never left his room, so Anna and I cooked instead.

Sora: That so?

I go to take a bite.

Strawberry: So, how is it?

Sora: Mmm... It's actually pretty good.

Strawberry: Really? T-Thanks...

Strawberry blushed a little.

Satoka: Hm? Oh, Strawberry is as red as a strawberry.

Anna/Strawberry: Shut up idiot...

After a nice breakfast and a bit of small talk, I headed back to my room with Mononeko, who hoped on my bed.

Mononeko: Don't forget, everyone will be gathering tonight before the Nighttime Announcement.

Sora: Right. For now... I still have time for myself.

Free Time (Frostwing)

I went to see Frostwing.

Frostwing: Oh? Sora?

Sora: Hey Frostwing, wanna train together?

Frostwing: Hmm sure.

I spent some time training with Frostwing. I feel like we got a little closer today.

Frostwing: I gotta say, for someone who lost all their memories your fighting skills are pretty remarkable.

Sora: Really? I was only copying your movements.

Frostwing: The fact you were able to keep up with me at all is honestly amazing in itself. Even if I was only in my base form.

Sora: Right...

Let's not talk about the fact you were clearly holding back...

Sora: Oh yeah, you said there was someone who was even stronger than you, right?

Frostwing: Well, back then I was a complete rookie. I could barely face anyone, much less someone who could take out an entire army.

Sora: I'm sorry, did you say an army?

Frostwing: Yeah, she was just that tough. And while I'm stronger than her now, I'd say she still has me beat in terms of pure skill.

A girl who can destroy an army? Just what type of people could Frostwing be hanging out with? Regardless, it seems Frostwing likes to acknowledge the strength of others. I guess it makes sense since he's a Saiyan. Still, feel like I got to know him better today.

Hope Fragment Received! Frostwing: 3/5

Frostwing: Well anyway, I believe we can stop training for today.

I nod and after training with Frostwing I headed back to my room. I went to look at the time.

Sora: I think I still got time on my hands.

Free Time (Frostwing)

I go to Frostwing's room and knocked on the door. He goes to open it.

Frostwing: Oh, Sora?

Sora: Hey Frostwing, wanna hang out today?

Frostwing: Hmm sure.

I spent time hanging out with Frostwing. Feels like we grew a little closer.

Sora: Oh right, you told me that you were apart of the Time Patrol. What is that?

Frostwing: Hm? Right, we're basically warriors that travel through time and fix things that are screwing up with time itself.

Sora: Huh? Wait so you can travel through time? Then maybe you can travel back to before we came to this island.

Frostwing: It's a bit more complicated than that. Even if I wanted to, I'd need the equipment to do so, and I don't necessarily have that on me right now. Looks like those that brought us here made sure of that.

Sora: I see...

In other words, time travel is out of the question...

Sora: I wonder if any of those timelines could tell me who I am...

Frostwing: That one would be hard to say.

Sora: What do you mean?

Frostwing: There are an infinite number of timelines. Since you don't know your real name, it could be difficult to find your real identity like that.

Sora: Right...

Frostwing: But don't feel too down. I'm sure we'll be able to unlock those memories of yours eventually.

Sora: What makes you so sure?

Frostwing: I'll probably tell you another time. For now let's get back.

Sora: Right.

Frostwing seems confident in what he's saying. That confidence and determination is probably why Artoria chose him as our leader. I think I got to know him better today.

Hope Fragment received! Frostwing: 4/5

Free Time (END)

I returned to my room and took a look at the time.

Almost time for Monokuma's announcement. I should see what he wants.

I leave my room and head to the dining hall. Everyone was already there, including Seiketsu, Mia, and Kanzen. Monokuma was sitting with Mononeko at the center of the table.

Kanzen: Looks like the amnesiac finally woke up.

Sora: And the masked rodent finally left his room.

Kanzen: Always so harsh...

Mia: Whatever... Monokuma, what did you call us up here for?

Monokuma: Why, I've brought you up here to see a whole new world!

Sora: A... whole new world?

Monokuma: That's right! A whole new world!

Mononeko: Now that a murder has occurred, we'll be taking this ship to a new island. Once we leave, we can't go back so make sure you didn't leave anything behind.

Artoria: A new island... we should use this opportunity to find a way off this island. Or at least know more about where we are. The more we know the better.

Frostwing: So, when will we be going?

Mononeko: Tonight. As soon as Monokuma starts the Nighttime Announcement.

Monokuma: Already on it!

Monokuma vanished without a trace and the intercoms turned on.

Ding Dong! Bing Bong!

Monokuma: "It is now 10pm! Get ready to hop on board the Monocruise as we're about to set sail! Next stop, the second island of Jabberwock Island! Make sure to bring anything you don't want left behind as we head for the location of the next killing!

The intercoms turned off and we all looked at each other.

Angel: A new island? So we can't come back to this one?

Alicia: That does seem to be the case. Damn that bear. He's not even gonna give us time to moan our friends deaths...

Frostwing: I know how you might feel. For now, let's head to bed and get ready for tomorrow.

Listening to Frostwing's words we all headed to our rooms and went to bed.

Once I got to my room, I laid in bed deep in thought. Mononeko hopped on my lap.

Mononeko: Is everything alright Sora?

Sora: ... Honestly, I don't know how to feel. All this stuff about World Ender being one of us... plus going to another island where a murder has already been planned... it kinda has me feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Mononeko: It's going to be okay. If things work out perfectly, you might be able to find a way to leave this island. Or even better, get back both of our memories!

Sora: Yeah...

That's right... my memories. I still don't even know who I am. I don't even know my real name. Could it be possible that... no... it couldn't be. Still... who am I?

With more thoughts and worries swarming through my head, I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

Monokuma Theater

Monokuma: You ever have those one puns stuck in your head? I swear guys who make puns are un-bear-able. It makes me want to koala into them and shove that pun into their face! What a polarizing experience that will be right? This grizzly Monokuma theater is brought to you by a bear pun next door.

Monokuma Theater (END)

Ding Dong! Bing Bong!

I woke up to the sound of the Morning announcement.

Monokuma: "Good morning everyone! It is now 7 am. Time to rise and shine for another beautiful day on a brand new island!"

The intercoms turned off and I sat up in bed as Mononeko approached me.

Mononeko: Good morning Sora. Did you sleep okay?

Sora: Yeah.

Mononeko: You sure? You were kinda...

Sora: Hm?

Mononeko: ... N-Nevermind. We should head to the kitchen.

Sora: Right, let's go.

Mononeko seemed a little shaken. Whatever was bothering her, she ignored it. She hoped on my shoulder as we headed to the kitchen. Everyone else was already there.

Artoria: Oh, good morning Sora.

I looked around at everyone.

Sora: Mia and Seiketsu aren't here?

Kotone: They already left to search the new island.

Kanzen: We were polite enough to wait on you. By the way good morning So-

Sora: A new island huh? So the ship really did sail.

Strawberry: Yeah. We waited on you so we could all explore it together.

Kanzen: Um... Sora?

Sora: Then we should be going.

Kanzen: Sora... ignoring me is quite rude you know...?

Sora: Hm? Who are you again?

Kanzen: How could you forget?!

Artoria: Alright everyone, once you're done with your breakfast head out and explore the next island. We'll meet back here tomorrow morning to discuss our findings.

We all nodded and ate our breakfast. One by one we headed out to see the new island.

When I was done eating, Mononeko approached me.

Mononeko: Hey Sora, if you don't mind, can I join you in looking at the new island?

Sora: Hm? You don't already know what it looks like?

Mononeko: I do. I just thought I could help show you around.

Sora: I see. Alright Neko, you can tag along.

Mononeko happily hopped on my shoulder as we head to see the new island.

Sora: ... Woah...

Unlike the last island, this one was a bit smaller. It felt much older than the last island too.

Beep! Beep!

[Island Map has been updated to your Monopad]

Sora: Hm?

I took a look at my Monopad.

Sora: ... Huh...

From the looks of it, the island is bigger but there are less areas to explore.

Sora: Still... it's no better time than the present to check it out.

I headed to the new island and the first place I went to was the Ancient Ruins.

Sora: What the...?

Frostwing and Kanzen were already there, looking at the same thing I was.

Frostwing: Oh Sora, you're here.

Sora: Yeah. What is this? A school?

Kanzen: That's right. What you're looking at is Hopes Peak Academy! Or what's left of it anyway.

Frostwing: Hopes Peak?

Sora: Never heard of it.

Frostwing: I might have. There was a timeline that experienced a major disaster which surrounded this school. It was long before I joined the Time Patrol though, so the details are a little foggy. The question is... what is it doing here? It should be in the middle of Japan not on a random island.

Kanzen: I doubt it matters. I mean, they shut down over 60 years ago.

60 years ago... something about that seems... odd...

I go to approach the school building. Everything about it was old. Everything but the giant futuristic metal hatch keeping me from taking a look inside.

Mononeko: Is everything alright Sora?

Sora: ... Hey Neko, do schools from back in the day usually have doors this high tech?

Mononeko: That... I wouldn't know the answer to...

After checking out the Ancient Ruins, we headed to the library.

The library was huge, filled with more books than I thought possible. The Monokuma statues were in bad taste though.

I looked down to see tipped over statues of a strange bunny mascot shattered on the ground.

Mononeko: Hm? Oh, that's a statue of Usami.

Sora: Usami?

Mononeko: I don't have much memory of her but... I know she protected this island long before I did.

Sora: That so? Whatever happened to her?

Mononeko: I don't know... she wasn't here when I got here. Nobody was...

Sora: I see...

So that means there was another animal mascot here before Monokuma and Neko?

I looked around some more. Looks like 5 people were already in the Library.

Mia, Alicia, Chris, Ruby, and Prix.

I walked over to Mia, who was sitting down reading a book.

Sora: Hey Mia... what are you reading?

Mia: ... Why do you want to know?

Sora: Well I'm curious is all... are you... feeling alright?

Mia: ... Who knows.

She stands up from her book.

Mia: I'll be somewhere else. Away from here...

Alicia: Mia wait.

Mia left without letting Alicia finish what she had to say.

Alicia: Dang it...

Prix: Best to leave her.

Angel: She's been avoiding people all day. She probably still hasn't gotten over her sister's death... and with everything involving World Ender, she's become suspicious of everyone too. She doesn't know who to trust.

Alicia: I mean, I understand but still... it ain't fair...

I go to check out what Mia was reading.

Sora: Is this... a pamphlet on Jabberock Island?

I opened it up, hoping to learn more about this island but...

Sora: What is this language? I can't understand it at all...

Chris: Hm? Oh, let me see.

Angel: You can understand it?

Alicia: Chris and I go around the world a lot so he made sure to learn a buncha different languages in case I didn't understand somethin'.

Prix: An inventor, manager, and personal translator. I'd have to say, you really overqualified for your job.

Chris: Well it does come with its benefits.

Angel: So, what does it say?

Chris: The pamphlet itself seems to be outdated, but there's nothing too out of the ordinary. Jabberock island is an island that consists of 5 different islands. It's a tourist attraction and you can move between islands by boat.

Sora: Kinda like we're doing right now. But a tourist attraction? There's been nobody on this island but us. What happened to all the tourists?

Chris: Not sure. It also states that there's a central island. Said island has a building in the center with a large bronze statue that represents the island itself.

Sora: I see...

Alicia: Considerin' we ain't found a building with a statue in it, that must mean we ain't been to the central island yet.

Chris: Seems like it. But as I said earlier, this pamphlet does seem to be outdated.

Prix: Whatever. The more we know the better.

Sora: I see. By the way Chris, you seemed to be reading something of your own. What is it?

Chris: Oh, just a book on some famous celebrities.

Angel: Should you really be doing that with Alicia right there?

Alicia: I mean, I don't really mind. It's kinda normal for him.

Angel: Really? You're not jealous?

Alicia: It's not like I'm the first person he's ever managed. I ain't got nothin' to worry about.

Sora: I see. So Chris, who are you reading about?

Chris: Well, an actress named Gwen Reida. She's apparently pretty popular.

He shows us a picture from the book.

Angel: Wow, she looks really pretty.

Sora: Yeah... and kind of familiar...

Alicia: Now that I think about it, doesn't she kinda look like-

Prix: Hey, I think that's enough chit chat. We still have more of the island to explore.

Chris: Oh um sorry about that.

Chris closed the book.

Sora: Right. Let's go, Neko.

After leaving the library we headed to the next spot on the map, which was the Pharmacy.

Once inside, I saw Seiketsu rummaging through the shelves.

Sora: Seiketsu...

Seiketsu: Well look what the cat dragged in.

Sora: Didn't think you'd be checking out the pharmacy.

Seiketsu: Gotta check every nook and cranny, right? There's nothing much here anyways. Just a bunch of medicine and junk.

Sora: I don't know why but something tells me you're lying again.

Seiketsu: Whatever. I'm done here anyway.

Seiketsu goes to leave. As he does, I search around the pharmacy.

There's no way he'd leave the pharmacy empty handed, right?

That's when I noticed something was missing from one of the shelves.

Sora: So he did take something... but what did he take?

I looked around at the rest of the pharmacy.

Sora: Regardless, this place is filled with dangerous items. It would be best to burn it.

Mononeko: Can't. That's against the rules. Plus what if you get sick and need medicine?

Sora: Yeah good point... fine. It's safer to keep a watchful eye out then. We'll need to if we want to prevent another killing.

There wasn't much to see here so I left and headed to the Diner.

Sora: A diner?

Mononeko: Yep! With free parking!

Sora: That's helpful... or at least it would be if any of us could drive in the first place.

Mononeko: C'mon, let's take a look inside!

I walked into the diner with Mononeko.

It was a small diner. I actually think it looks smaller on the inside than it does looking outside.

Sora: Hm? Oh!

I looked to see a familiar face was already here.

Sora: Artoria?

Artoria: Oh, Sora. You're here.

I watched as Artoria was enjoying an oversized burger.

Mononeko: It's rare to see you slacking off.

Artoria: I'm not 'slacking off'. I'm simply taking a break. I found this diner and grew a little hungry.

That's a pretty big burger for someone who's grown 'a little hungry'...

Artoria: I felt a knot in my stomach so I came here to eat as soon as I found this place.

Sora: I see. So even you can be worried.

Artoria: Well yeah. I wouldn't be where I am today if not for that. I worry for my little brother back at home. I worry for those who will die at the hands of this World Ender organization and I even worry for the members of World Ender among us.

Sora: You're worried for the enemy?

Artoria: Don't you find it odd that none of the other members opened up after Crimson's death? Crimson gave the impression that he thought he was free from execution. He was tricked by Kanzen's lie.

Sora: Right...

Artoria: If that's the case, the other members might have thought they were also allowed to get away without execution. Yet despite learning the truth, they still decide to go through with this.

Sora: They must have an objective that they want to achieve even at the cost of their lives...

Artoria: That's my thoughts exactly. They don't care if they win or lose this game. And that worries me. What could be so important that you would want to achieve it even at the cost of your life?

Sora: ... You spend so much time worrying about others. Don't you ever worry about yourself?

Artoria: Hm? ... Put your people before yourself. It was a flaw King Arthur had and one I inherited. I can't help it. It's why I decided to not make myself in charge. But I put myself second in command to at least ease any doubt.

Sora: I see...

Artoria: Anyway, that's enough talking. There's a beach right around the corner. You go on ahead. I'll join you once I'm done with my-

Right before she could finish that sentence, the whole area started shaking. Just long enough for Artoria to drop her food.

Mononeko: Woah! Was that an earthquake?

I looked outside to see stormy clouds.

Sora: No... I think I know what idiot did that...

Artoria: ... My... Burger...

Sora: ... Um... I'm gonna see what's going on at the beach.

I left the Diner and headed for the Beach. The first thing I saw was...

Sora: A beach house?

Mononeko: Yeah but this is just the back of it.

Loud thunder then filled the skies as the beach shook and I could hear two people clashing.

Mononeko: Sounds like it's coming from the other side!

I moved to the front of the Beach House.

The clashes only grew louder as the thunder roared and the ground shook beneath my feet. I looked up to see a sight that wasn't all too surprising.

Kotone: Take this! Orpheus!

Satoka: Lightning Hammer Fist!

Satoka's lightning fist and Kotone's Persona were clashing, creating shockwaves around them and shaking the island. They eventually got back and had a stare down.

Mononeko: What do you two idiots think you're doing?!

Kotone: Wha- It's not my fault! I give this guy a compliment and he decides to call me his sidekick!

Satoka: C'mon, who wouldn't want to be the sidekick of the great Satoka?!

Kotone: Whatever. Besides, this is just a sparing match, not a real fight. So we're not breaking any rules.

Sora: Sure seems like a real fight...

Mononeko: Still, they're not wrong. Sparing is allowed so long as both parties agree. In that regard, I can't stop them.

Sora: You're kidding, right?

Artoria: Fine then. I'll handle it.

I turned to see an angry Artoria. Her casual attire turned into silver armor and she held an invisible blade that quickly became visible.

Artoria: EX-

Satoka: Huh?

Kotone: Hm?

Artoria: -CALIBER!!!!

With a swing of her sword, she unleashed a massive beam of light that quickly separated the two. The beam flew upward, completely clearing Satoka's thunderstorm. She then stabbed her sword into the ground. Her mere presence was that of a King.

Artoria: Listen up! Not only is your duel shaking the island and interfering with the investigation of this island, but it caused a disturbance in my lunch! Ton it down this instance or I will take matters into my own hands! Do I make myself clear?!

Satika/Kotone: Y-Yes ma'am!

Looks like Artoria isn't a king for nothing. But even she has her limits.

It's probably better not to get involved in this though. I should investigate the Beach house.

Leaving Artoria with Kotone and Satoka, I stepped into the Beach House.

Once inside, I saw Strawberry and Anna inside.

Strawberry: Hey Sora, are you okay?

Sora: Yeah. I'm fine.

Anna: Honestly, is Satoka gonna act this reckless every time we explore an island? Luckily Artoria has the situation under control.

Sora: Definitely...

I take a look around the beach house.

Anna: Nice place to relax huh? They have a ton of drinks here too. No snacks though.

Strawberry: The storage room is also a mess and the shower room is fine but the water doesn't work.

Mononeko: Right. That water hasn't worked since the day I got here. I'm still working on fixing it. But until then, changing at the beach house is prohibited.

Anna: Well that's a bunmer. But at least we can throw a party at the beach house.

Strawberry: Honestly, I don't know if I want to talk about parties. Not right now at least...

Anna: Oh... right...

It's understandable why they wouldn't want to talk about parties. That last one got two of our friends killed after all.

Anna: Still, we can't all be down in the dumps forever. The best thing we can do right now is to move forward, right?

Strawberry: Sis... Yeah... you're right.

Ding Dong! Bing Bong!

The intercoms turned on, showing Monokuma.

Monokuma: "It is now 10pm. Hope you like the new island because it's nighty night time for all the good and bad boys and girls!"

The intercoms turned off.

Mononeko: Nighttime already huh?

Sora: Yeah. I think we explored enough of this island. Let's head back to the ship.

After investigating the island, Neko and I returned to my room. I went to sit on the bed.

Sora: A whole new island... and we still haven't found anything about my missing memories nor any hints on the other members of World Ender.

Mononeko: Well, we found something. And honestly, anything is better than nothing.

Sora: Right... hey Neko?

Mononeko: Yeah?

Sora: Do you know anything about the other members?

Mononeko: ... No... honestly when I woke up I only knew about Monokuma and Kanzen. They didn't tell me anything more.

Sora: Is that so?

In other words, the identity of the other three remains hidden among us. Personally, I don't want to suspect anyone, but with the situation we're in, what other choice do I have?

With those thoughts coursing through my mind, I drifted off to sleep.

Monokuma Theater

Monokuma: Isn't the term "This is the worst day of my life" pretty confusing? I mean, how would you possibly remember or predict every single day of your life? And if you have a really bad day afterwards, would the day before still be the worst? Or is there suddenly a new worst day? I think the only way to decide that is the day before you die. That way you truly know what day is the worse day. If you know what I mean.

Monokuma Theater (END)

Ding Dong! Bing Bong!

I woke up to the morning announcement.

Monokuma: "Good morning everyone. It is now 7am. How did you like your time on the new island? By the way, each island has a unique attribute to them. But only members of World Ender know what it is, so good luck!"

The intercom turned off and I got up to stretch.

Mononeko: Good morning Sora.

Sora: Morning Neko.

Mononeko: We should head to the kitchen. Everyone is probably already waiting.

Sora: Right.

Neko hopped on my shoulder and we headed to the kitchen. Everyone else was already there.

Strawberry: Good Morning Sora.

Sora: Morning.

I looked at Mia and Seiketsu.

Sora: Wasn't expecting you two to be here.

Mia: I only came because those two idiots wouldn't leave me alone...

Sora: Two idiots?

Kotone: Satoka and I made sure they came. Especially since it's to discuss the island.

Seiketsu: I'm only here to gather info. The chances are slim, but if one of you guys managed to find something out that I didn't then it would be worth looking into.

Frostwing: Alright then, let's begin our talk about our findings. Starting with the old building.

Anna: Oh yeah, what's the deal with that? It looked like some kind of school.

Frostwing: According to Kanzen, it was a school. Hopes Peak Academy.

Mia: Hopes Peak?

Alicia: Ya know of it, Mia?

Mia: ... Not really. All I know is that it was an old school that shut down some time ago in a dimension separate from my own.

Frostwing: That's what Kanzen said as well. It apparently shut down 60 years ago.

Mia: Don't believe everything that clown tells you. It's only been 10 years at best.

Kanzen: Not only are you calling me a clown but you're calling me a liar?

Mia: ... Yes...

Kanzen: Ouch.

Alicia: There was also a Library. We found out some stuff about this island. Apparently it was a popular tourist spot or somethin'. But there's definitely been a lotta changes done to it. That pamphlet was outdated too.

Artoria: Lastly there was a beach and a pharmacy but neither had any direct clue of how to get off this island.

Anna: So we're still stuck on square one huh? Only this time, we have to keep our eyes and ears peeled in case World Ender pops up again.

Prix: World Ender... if only there was a way to identify them all at once.

Kotone: Oh! I know! Hey Sora, why don't you ask Neko if she knows anything?

Sora: I already tried. She says she doesn't.

Mia: We can't just trust every word that comes out of her mouth...

Sora: True, but it's better than nothing.

Mia: I'm not just talking about the cat. You're the most suspicious person out of all of us.

Sora: What?

Mia: Don't think I didn't find it odd that you're the only one here who lost all her memories. On top of that, you made friends with that weird cat far too easily, as if you two have known each other for years.

Sora: I... well...

I tried to say something but couldn't. The truth was she wasn't wrong. Anyone of us could be a member of World Ender, but my actions and lack of memory makes me the most suspicious of us all.

Angel: Um but isn't Sora a little too obvious? Crimson clearly knew everything about us but Sora doesn't know anything at all.

Frostwing; Sorta. I do have a girlfriend who controls ice but the way he put it made it seem like we're married.

Mia: Regardless it doesn't change a thing. I swear I will make World Ender pay for killing my sister...

Kanzen: Wise words, but is it really fair to point the finger directly at us and us alone?

Mia: What? What the hell does that mean?

Kanzen: Crimson only managed to kill Eve because of a party. Said party wouldn't have been possible if you hadn't felt worried and afraid, as it was Eve's attempt at cheering you up. In other words, Crimson may have killed Eve but you helped give him the opening to do it. Eve's death is all your fault.

Mia: Wha- ... Tch!

Mia stood up and stormed out.

Alicia: Mia, wait!

Alicia hurried after her.

Kanzen: Poor girl. I guess someone couldn't handle the truth.

Chris: It's as if the more you talk the more unlikable you become.

Angel: Mia... I hope she's alright.

Artoria: For now let's just eat.

Sora: ... ... ...

Mia's words lingered in my mind a little, but I still managed to eat breakfast before heading back to my room. I sat on my bed deep in thought.

Sora: ... Me? A member of... World Ender?

Sora: Geh!

My head suddenly felt fuzzy as I stood up from where I was sitting.

Sora: What was... that? A memory?

I looked at myself real quick.

Sora: ... I should... go get my mind off things...

Free Time (Kotone)

I went to hang out with Kotone today. Or rather she came to hang out with me.

Kotone: Sora! Sora!

Sora: Yeah?

Kotone: I'm super bored! Let's race around the island!

Sora: Huh? Oh um sure.

Kotone and I raced around the island. By the time we were done, we were both physically exhausted.

Kotone: Looks like I won.

Sora: Yeah. You sure are fast.

Kotone: Hm? I mean, yeah, but I'm nowhere near the speed of Chris.

Sora: Still, how did you get so athletic?

Kotone: Back at my real school, I kinda signed up for as many things as I could. Track, Tennis, Volleyball, basically everything. If I wasn't at home playing video games and reading manga, I was probably playing an after school sport or working part time at a Maid Cafe.

Sora: I see. Were you always this active?

Kotone: Um well no... I used to be much more of a shut in. It took a lot of help from my friends to open up.

Sora: They sound like really good friends.

Kotone: They are. At least to me... honestly I kinda miss them...

Kotone had a sad look in her eyes. A bit different from the usual cheerful Kotone I'm used to seeing. Once she saw me looking worried, she immediately put back on her smile.

Kotone: But hey, it's fine. Once we escape this island, I can see them again. We just all need to survive.

Sora: Um... yeah, you're right.

Kotone: Anyway, let's get going.

She made that switch a little too quickly. As always, she tries to be positive no matter the situation. I guess it's her way of making others not worry for her. I think I got to know Kotone a little better.

Hope Fragment received! Kotone Shiomi: 2/5

After hanging out with Kotone, I returned to the ship and to my room.

Sora: ... ... ...

I look at the time.

Sora: There's still time in the day. I should use it wisely... and get my mind off this...

Free Time (Prix)

I went to Prix's room and knocked on the door.

Prix: Hm? You need something?

Sora: Yeah. Let's hang out.

Prix: Sure. I could go for a walk. How about we head to the library?

I nod and the two of us walked to the library.

Sora: I have to say, I should have known you'd be the type to want to go to the library.

Prix: What do you mean?

Sora: Well you're a bit more laid back than I expected you to be.

Prix: What can I say? Sometimes you have to be calm of mind to get things done. Though I can't say that I'm always this calm. I do have quite the temper, it's just hard to get me to show it.

Sora: Seems understandable enough. I sometimes forget you and Angel are both demons. Though at the same time I can't imagine anything that would make you upset.

Prix: Hmm... well I can't speak for Angel... but I'm personally not a fan of those who act like fools.

Sora: Hm?

Prix: Kanzen, Kotone, Satoka... those types of people who

Sora: I see...

I can see where he's coming from. Satoka and Kotone aren't exactly the brightest. Though I do wonder if Kanzen is truly dumb or if he's merely playing the fool.

Prix: Regardless you're a curious case.

Sora: Hm? I am?

Prix: You're not as smart as Seiketsu or Mia, but you're not entirely dumb either. You're pretty average and with your missing memories, it makes it difficult for me to get a read on you.

Sora: Says the demon who can move through shadows...

Still, Prix is normally pretty quiet. I think this talk helped me get to know him better.

Free Time (END)

After talking some more with Prix, I headed to my room.

Ding Dong! Bing Bong!

Monokuma: "Attention! It is now 10pm! You know what that means! It is officially nighttime. Have a good night and sleep tight! Don't let the bedbugs bite~..."

The nighttime announcement turned off, I sat on my bed. Mononeko came into my room.

Mononeko: Oh, there you are. Are you okay?

Sora: Yeah. Is Mia?

Mononeko: She's in her room as we speak. Her emotions are still high though. She did lose her sister so it's understandable...

Right... Mia is still grieving. But what she said wasn't wrong. Honestly, the least I could do is try to comfort her.

I stand up from my bed.

Sora: I'll go talk to her. See if I can cheer her up a little.

Mononeko: Okay, good luck...

I stretched and headed to Mia's room. Once I got there, though, Strawberry was peeking into Mia's door.

Sora: Hm? Strawberry?

Strawberry: Shhh...

She signaled me to keep quiet and join her. I go to take a look into Mia's room and was surprised by what I saw.

In her room, Mia was lying in bed, resting soundly on the lap of Alicia Armstrong.

Strawberry: I came over to check on Mia, but once I got here she was already like this. Looks like Alicia got to her first.

Sora: Alicia has always been the big sister type. She's probably the only one who could have pulled it off.

As I said that, Alicia noticed us. She smiled and put her finger to her lips while giving us a wink.

Honestly it was a peaceful scene. It was nice to know there were still nice moments on this island.

... But it wouldn't take long for me to be reminded that these moments never last long...
