Chapter Two: Friendship, Hope, Love, Despair, and Death- Part One
It was the ride up the elevator that was the hardest. After the trial, we all clambered into the elevator. Monomi had been waiting for us, and she tried to cheer up as many of us as she could. Me, Hotaru, Hoshimi, Reiko, and Isamu were the only ones not standing near Monomi.
Isamu was on the floor crying. "Why... Takeo, why?!" He screamed. Reiko had squared down and began to pat his back. "Hey, Isamu. You'll be okay. We're still here, and we will be tomorrow. I believe it." She reassured. Isamu looked up, tears running down his face.
"Takeo... he wasn't a bad guy!" He yelled. Before anyone could say anything, the elevator came to a stop. The gates opened revealing the best sight I've seen in a week. The gates that surrounded the apartments... was gone.
"Are... are we free?!" Kazuko asked. Before Monomi could answer, she smiled. "The gates are gone, so that must be what it means!"
Everyone gasped and took off running, trying to escape the building that would forever traumatize us. We ended up on a large street that curved into a L-shape, with the apartment complex being attached to the top part of the street, and the lower part being cut off by a curve.
However, that didn't stop any of us. We ran down the street, past building after building. We rounded the curve... and someone screamed. The rest of the road was cut off by a gate. We were sealed in after all. Kazuko wailed and began trying to climb the gate. Monomi gasped and grabbed her by the waist.
"Please Kazuko, that's against the rules!" Monomi said. Kazuko flailed around in her arms. "Please Monomi-sama, let me go!" I squatted down and grabbed her arms.
"Hey, Kazuko-chan, we're still stuck here, but we have to work logically to think of a way out. We can't climb the fence, Monokuma would attack us. I think we should explore the area instead." I said. Kazuko stopped flailing and looked down.
"You called me your close friend!" She cheered, hugging me. I stumbled, but kept my balance. "What?" I asked. She pulled away. "Chan usually is used for close friends. Unless... you think of me as your lover?" She said, smiling.
"Well, yeah Kazuko. We're close friends." I said. She grinned. "Thanks Tatsuo-chan!" She said. "But you're right. We need to explore this place." I nodded.
"Alright. We should split up into pairs." I said. Isamu stepped forward. "Fuck that! I'm going by myself." He said, walking off.
"Uh, okay then." Mitsuo said. "Maybe we should just explore without any formality." He said, running off to a building that said "Laser Tag!" in bright, neon colors. Before I knew it, everyone had left me there, save for Reiko.
"Hey, Number Two..." She said, walking over to me. "How are you doing?" She asked. I frowned. "Not good. We're still stuck here, and it's getting scarier and scarier every day." I said.
"Why's that?" She asked. I put my hand on my hip. "That first week where nobody could hear us, two people died in the first two days we were here, and now that psycho bear is trying to create some kind of city for us... its so... unnerving and strange." I said. She put her hands on my shoulders.
"Listen Aisho. I know you'll survive this. We all will. I don't think they'll be any more murders. I don't think anyone here could commit murder." She said. I nodded.
She smiled. "Now, go and check out some shops." She said, turning to walk off. I smiled and placed my hand on my shoulder. Why was it, even after she had left, I could feel the warmth radiate thought my arms? I could feel myself smile as I walked into the first building I saw.
I gasped as I saw the inside. It was a place I could call home. The library. Bookshelves filled with novels covered the walls. Comic books lined the back of the store. Beanbag chairs lay scattered out across the room. A few tables were placed around too.
I felt the need to run around the store. It was that feeling where you don't feel any kind of emotion, other than joy and bliss. I couldn't care about where I was, or what had happened. I felt like I was floating on air.
As I turned down the mystery aisle, I saw someone trying to climb the shelves to grab a book from the top one. "Almost..." She mumbled. I walked over a frowned.
"Hey, Akira. If you wanted a book, I could've gotten it for you." I said. She frowned. "I... can get it... myself." she panted, reaching her hand out to grab a book from the top shelve. Just as her fingertips grazed the top of the spine, her fingers slipped. I ran over and grabbed her waist, catching her before she fell.
"Um... thanks Aisho." She said, looking at the floor. I put my hand on the back of my neck. "Hey, it's no big deal. You'd have done the same for me." I said, smiling.
"Yeah... hey listen... sorry about the trial." Akira said, twirling a lock of her hair. I shrugged. "It's okay. We found who was guilty..." I paused and looked at the floor. "...and we survived. Besides, it was our first trial. Anybody could've made that mistake." I said, looking up. I saw she had tears in her eyes. "T-Thank you!" She said, running over. She half-tackled, half-hugged me.
"Uh, Akira? You okay?" I asked. She nodded and wiped a tear out of her eye. "It's just... I got bullied so much since the second grade. Every day of my life. I never had a real friend because I was different from everyone else... You and Maya and Mitsuo were the first to not beat me up, or try to cut my hair off, or spray me with paint, or ignore me completely." She said. I felt my heart sink.
This girl, Akira Miyomoto, who I took as a psychopath... actually had a heart. She had someone hurt her... she wasn't a bad guy. "I-I'm so sorry Akira..." I mumbled. She gave a neutral expression.
"It's okay now... I can start over here... I mean, some people already hate me... but I have three friends... and that's good enough for me." She smiled. "Hey, do... do you know where Maya is?" She asked. I shook my head.
"Maybe we can look together. I wanna check out some more places before I come back here." I said. She looked around the library and looked back at me with her piercing brown eyes. "Oh yeah... you're the Ultimate Librarian." She said. "That's really cool. The library was one place I always would go to so I could escape the bullies." She said as we walked to the exit. The doors opened and we stepped outside onto the sidewalk.
"I got bullied pretty bad my sixth grade year." I said. She pursed her lips. "W-What for?" She asked. I rubbed the back of my neck. I don't think I'm ready to tell her yet... or anyone for that matter.
"Umm... if it's all the same I'd rather not say right now..." I said. She put her hands on her hips. "We might now get later." She said. "What if I die next... or you?! I can't lose one of my only friends!" She screamed. Once again, she tackle-hugged me. I stumbled back and awkwardly put my hands on her back.
"Hey... trust me Akira. None of us are gonna die any time soon. I honestly don't think anyone could kill again." I reassured her. She pulled away from me and crossed her arms.
"T-Thanks Aisho." She said, smiling. Just as we were gonna start walking, the doors to the building next to us opened. Maya pushed a stray strand of silver hair behind her ear. She took a sip of something in a small china cup. She turned and saw me and Akira and smiled.
Honestly, Maya gave a feeling of warmth and security. She was this motherly figure that seemed to spread acceptance and kindness everywhere. She was like a counterpart to Reiko, who gave this feeling of protection, whereas Maya radiated hope. I wasn't the only one who thought so either, because when she saw her, Akira's face lit up.
She turned to walk towards us. She gave a small wave and took another sip of her drink. "Hey guys... Akira... want a drink? It's hot chocolate." Akira smiled. "I'd love some... but I can't take yours. Did you get it from that store?" She asked, pointing to a large building that had Monokuma on the front window. The sign read Kuma Kafé.
Maya nodded. "It's free, unless you want whipped cream. Then it costs a MonoCoin." She said. "It's so good too!" She said, taking another sip. "I can't stop!"
We all walked into the store. It was a small café with a few small, round tables placed in a square in the room. In the back of the café was a small bar where I assumed you would place your order. Maya bounced back to the bar and a Monokuma wearing a yellow apron popped up.
"Hello hello! Welcome to the Kuma Kafé!" He said. "Can I get your order?" He asked. Maya smiled. "No thanks. My friends wished to obtain a hot chocolate though." The Monokuma smiled and grabbed two cups. "No sweat! It'll be done in a few minutes."
I was shocked. This Monokuma wasn't evil... maybe. He didn't seem evil though. He just seemed to want to make coffee for people. Before I knew it, the Monokuma sat the cups on the bar and chuckled. "All done! Have a despair filled day!" He said. Maya grabbed the two drinks and handed them to me and Akira.
"This place is extremely cozy." Akira said, smiling. Maya grinned. "Isn't it great? This place feels like it was made as a stress reliever." She said, starting to walk to the door. "And the barista Monokuma is so nice!"
"Hey! We should go check out the store beside this one. They sell flowers and stuff there." Maya suggested. Akira grinned. "That'd be great!" She said, taking a drink of her hot chocolate. She gasped. "T-That's amazing!" She said, turning the entire cup upside down and drinking it all. Maya laughed at her and I have to admit, I was trying to suppress a laugh. I decided to take a drink of mine. If words could describe it... they'd be made up. Nothing could sum it up in a sentence. It reminded me of when I was five when me and mom would sit by the fireplace and she'd read me a bed time story about Santa. Christmas at home was the best. Grandma didn't really celebrate it... she said it reminded her too much of mom...
I quickly drank the rest of it and followed Akira and Maya as they walked out. I sat the cup on a small table Barista Monokuma sat outside for the cups. Maya and Akira bounded into the flower shop, with my chasing after them. As I walked in, I saw them looking at the roses. I saw a small girl standing in the back of the room, looking at the white lilies. She danced around, a yellow flower stuck behind her ear. She saw me and grinned.
"Tatsuo-chan!" Kazuko yelled. She ran up to the front of he store. "Hey! Wanna help me play dress up?!" She asked. Before I could answer, she grabbed my wrist and dragged me out. I waved at Maya and Akira, who seemed too busy to notice I was gone. Kazuko dragged me past two buildings that I didn't have any interest in. A museum and a sporting goods store.
She pulled me into the clothing store. Multiple articles of clothing littered the place. Monomi was standing in the store talking to a kid with deep-sea blue hair. The kid noticed us and waved. Kazuko dragged me with her.
"Hamasaki-chan! Monomi-sama! Let's dress up! Tatsuo-chan can judge us!" She said. Mitsuo laughed. "Yeah! Best outfit wins!" He said, running off.
"Alright Monomi-sama! Let's find matching outfits!" Kazuko said. Monomi smiled and followed her. I sat on one of the seats that usually exist for the husbands that get dragged along. I glanced around the store, looking at all the possible clothing choices. A blue hoodie, a red shirt with with appeared to be a firetruck on it (seriously, who was that supposed to be sold to?), and a pair of khakis.
However, it wasn't long until Mitsuo jumped out wearing a tight blue shirt and a pair of swimming trunks with a starfish pattern on them. A pair of blue sandals were on his feet and a matching pair of blue sunglasses with black frames sat on top of his hair.
"How do I look Tatsuo-chan?!" He asked. He honestly looked like we dragged him from the beach.
"You look very natural Mitsuo." I said. He smiled. "Thanks Tatsuo-chan!" Just then, Kazuko walked back. She had ditched her yellow shirt and blue jeans for a more frilly look. She had put on a yellow dress that went to her knees. The sleeves went to her elbows, and a big, black ribbon was tied around her waist, which met at the back and made a giant bow. She had on black tights and yellow boots that went to her knees.
She twirled around and smiled. "How do I look?!" Mitsuo clapped. "You look great!" She grinned.
"You look great too! Hey look at Monomi!" She said. Monomi walked out wearing the same dress as Kazuko, minus the shoes and tights.
"I like the dress... but yellow isn't my color." Monomi said. "I like pink!" Kazuko giggled. "But Monomi-sama! You look so kawaii!"
"Okay... but I probably won't wear it." Monomi said. Kazuko placed two MonoCoins on the counter. Kazuko grabbed Mitsuo and Monomi and dragged them off to the back of the store. I shrugged and walked out. The clothing store was the last store on the side of the street I was on, so I walked across the street and entered a small store that had a small sign in the window that read "Like a Kid in a Candy Store!~"
I opened the door and saw Kumiko Sugawara and Toshio Ashikaga looking at all the different types of candy. The store looked small on the outside, but inside was huge. Rows upon rows of candy littered the shelves. Chocolate bars, gummy bears, gummy worms, bubblegum, jelly beans, you name it, this place had it.
Kumiko smiled as she grabbed a bag of gummy bears. "This little girl on the cover looks so cute!" She said, holding the bag for Toshio to see. "Oh my! She really is!" Toshio said. Kumiko looked past Toshio and smiled. "Oh! Hi Aisho!" She said, waving. Toshio turned and smiled. I noticed something about him. His eyes were grey.
"Oh hello Aisho." He said, looking at his Digital I.D. "Oh! This is the Aisho Tatsuo you were talking about!" He said, smiling. "He held out his hand and smiled. "My name is Toby, the Ultimate Nerd, and a personality of Toshio Ashikaga."
"Wait... you know you're a personality?" I asked. He nodded. "The others don't realize that. And, honestly, I'm kinda glad to be just a personality. I'd hate to be my own person in a place like this." He said.
I scratched the back of my head. "So... how many personalities does Toshio have?" I asked. "Tom, the Bully. Me, the Nerd. Troy, the Jock. Thomas, the Hacker. And Tobias, the Bad Boy." Toby counted them off on his fingers as he named the personality.
"Wait, they're all that diverse?" I asked. Toby nodded. "Honestly, I believe that Toshio only developed us due to being overworked and stressed. He had so many talents that he couldn't juggle them, and created us to help ease the stress." Toby said.
Kumiko stepped forward and smiled. "Hey Toby, me and Aisho are gonna go next door to the school supplies store, okay?" She said. Without waiting for an answer, she grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the store with her.
We walked into the school supplies store, aptly named "School Supplies", and she turned to me, her face a bright red. "H-Hey. Aisho... can you do me a favor?" She asked, fumbling around with her scarf.
I was confused, but whatever she wanted me to do wouldn't be that bad. "Uh... sure. What is it?" I asked. She frowned. "Um... when Toshio returns, could you possibly ask him how he feels about me please?!" She blurted out. Scratch that. It was that bad. But I couldn't say no. She was obviously infatuated by him.
"Uh. Sure. I'll do it whenever Toshio returns." I promised. She smiled and hugged me. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" She cried. She pulled away and wiped her face. "Uh, if it's no bother, I need to pick up some stuff. Please, ask him whenever you get a chance." She said, walking off.
With nothing else to do, I walked out of the store. As much as it sucks that I'm getting involved, she was obviously infatuated with Toshio. I always loved young love, and I didn't care to help... I really just didn't want to.
I walked into the next place. As I stepped inside, I saw chairs placed in front of mirrors with hair dryers, combs, scissors, and hair gel. "This is a beauty salon." I said, saying the obvious out loud.
"Yeah... it is." Reginald said, running his fingers through his hair. He applied a small amount of gel to his fingertips and ran it sideways, brushing his hair the same way. He smiled and turned to me. "So, need any help with... that?" He asked, pointing at my hair.
"Uh... no! Not really." I said. I could feel my face redden. He smiled. "I guess I could help anyways... just once." He said. He grabbed my arm and put me in the chair in front of the mirror.
"Alright... let's see. Your hair is extremely short... so I can't do much with it." He said. He stood and tapped on his chin for a few moments before he snapped his fingers and smiled. "I got it." He said. He grabbed a small spray bottle and sprayed water on my hair. I closed my eyes, not wanting to get anything in them.
He applied some gel to his fingers and ran it sideways along my bangs. It was a rough movement, and I jerked my head back. He grabbed the back of my head to keep me in place. "Hey, I need you to keep your head still if you want to look as good as I do." He said. I still couldn't see what he was doing, but I heard him pick up a comb. He forced the comb through my hair a few times and smiled. I heard him grab one of the small hand mirrors.
"You can open your eyes now Aisho." He said. I opened my eyes and smiled at what I saw. My hair looked great, honestly. It wasn't something I'd usually do, but I liked it. He sat the mirror down and smiled. "So, don't you love it?" He said. "I mean, how can you not love it?"
I smiled. "You know, I thought it would turn out a lot worse. I actually like it." I said. He smiled. "R-Really?" He asked. I nodded. "T-Thanks Aisho!" He said. "You're a really good friend." That's probably the fourth time I've heard that today, honestly. I didn't think it was true, honestly. I wasn't a good friend. I can't really keep any friends. In elementary school, I constantly ended up making enemies with the only people who were nice to me. I was brought back to reality when Reginald spoke up again.
"Hey... dude there's something I need to get off my chest... and I think I should tell you." He said. Without waiting for a reply he began to speak again. "So... back in the eighth grade... I found out something important about myself." He said, sitting in the chair across from me.
"What was it?" I asked. He sighed. "I realized that I am... gay." he said. "I mean, I always knew, but I never really put it together. I never had an interest in girls at all, but I always looked at the other guys in gym class." He said. "I came out to my parents the next year and they laughed at me. They said I was too young to know what I liked, and that it was only a phase." He said. "But, I never listened. I ended up coming out to everyone, but I lost some friends. Some people shunned me entirely. One time, I went to a local restaurant and they refused to serve me."
I frowned. "That really sucks dude... I wish people wouldn't have done that to you." I said. He smiled. "Thanks Aisho..." he said. "I'm really lucky to have a friend like you." He said, standing up. He walked over and hugged me. "Nah dude. I'm the lucky one. You're awesome. Nobody else could've actually managed to give me such awesome hair." I said, laughing.
"Listen, if you ever need to talk, I'm here for you." He said. I nodded. "I'll keep that in mind." I told him. Honestly, I thought about telling him my secret. I should've said it. I should've just told him... but I couldn't. I tried, but I couldn't form the words.
Suddenly, Katashi walked in. "Oh, hey dudes. What's up?" He asked. Reginald smiled. "Oh nothing." He said. "I just fixed Aisho's hair and stuff." He said. Katashi smiled. "His hair does look nice." He said. "Hey, can you possibly do somethin' about my hair?" He asked, taking off his hardhat. Reginald nodded.
"Hey, Aisho, I'll talk to you later." He said. I nodded and walked out as Katashi took a seat in the chair. As I walked outside I noticed a small, red building. The sign about it had a picture of a pig with a white dress shirt, red apron, and brown, curly hair. The sign beside it read 'Hanamura Restaurant.'
Hanamura... where had I heard that from?
I walked inside and saw Hotaru and Hoshimi sitting at a bright red table eating some kind of meat on a skewer. "Oh, Aisho! This place is amazing. You gotta try it!" Hoshimi said, pulling a piece of the meat off. She smiled. "Come on, try it!" She said. I walked over and took the piece. I frowned and bit down on it. As soon as I did, amazing flavors danced everywhere in my mouth. It tasted like heaven. I grinned. "Holy..." I mumbled. Hoshimi smiled.
I looked at the table and noticed her soda. It had the small boy Hotaru showed me yesterday. Teruteru Hanamura, I think. 'Wait... Hanamura... he wouldn't be...'
"The mascot of the restaurant?" Hotaru said, finishing my thought. "How... how did you?" He smiled. "I'm really good at reading faces. He said, putting his napkin on his plate. He placed two MonoCoins on the table and smiled. "C'mon Hoshimi... we should check out the building next door."
The building was completely black. The doors were made of metal, and they too, was blacked out. "This place is great!" Hoshimi said. "Laser Tag?! This place has laser tag!" She grabbed the door and pulled it open. Hotaru pushed me in, then held the door for Hoshimi to enter. With a smile he slammed the door.
"Oh! Number Two!" Reiko said, running over. She had a red laser gun and vest. "Me and Isamu needed another teammate." She said. "Follow me." She said, running over to the rental station. She handed me a red vest and gun too.
"Alright. Toshio says he wants to play against us, so its me, Isamu, and Aisho versus Hotaru, Hoshimi, and Toshio, who will be playing with blue." She said, handing both of them a vest and gun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The actual court itself was massive. Giant neon blocks were scattered everywhere, for cover I assumed. Hotaru and Hoshimi joined Toshio, who was waiting on the other side of the court.
"Alright dude." Isamu said. "We gotta work together here." He pointed to a giant pile of blocks. "We make our base there. One of us stays behind to guard the others, the other two stay on the ground to be foot soldier." Reiko said. "Right?" Isamu nodded.
"Dudes, I'll watch out and you guys take them out." He said. Reiko nodded. I, personally, didn't understand why I had to be a foot soldier but whatever.
Isamu ran up the pile and took his stance. Me and Reiko began to creep along the court. She held out her arm, stopping me from moving. She pointed at a tall, blue tower and put her fingers up to her lips.
"-seriously, that's our plan?"
"I guess. That's what Hotaru said anyways."
Reiko motioned towards the tower. She went one way, I went the other. The plan? Corner them. As we made it to the other side of the tower, we were met with nothing. They had ran.
Reiko sighed and gasped as a loud buzz emanated in the room. She looked down, and sighed when she saw her vest was still blacked out. She turned and looked at the guy behind her. Toshio's vest was a bright red.
"Damnit." He said, walking off the court. Reiko and I looked up at Isamu, who smiled. That's when we saw her. Hoshimi smiled as she stood behind Isamu. We pointed behind him, but as soon as he turned, she shot him. Reiko took aim, and shot at Hoshimi.
She dodged it with grace and jumped off the blocks. She ran and took cover behind a giant, green cube. Reiko signaled for me to go around and take the long way, in case she tried to run.
I did as she said, and began to walk through the massive blocks. I was almost halfway through the blocks when I heard a buzzer sound. I didn't know who was shot next, but I kept moving. I got to the top, and saw nobody. I walked over to where Hoshimi had hid.
I sighed as I heard someone step out from behind me. "Tatsuo-kun. Drop the gun." Hotaru said. I turned around to face him and dropped the gun. He pushed me down until I was sitting on the floor. "Your friend actually got Hoshimi, so after you I'll have to find her." Hotaru said. Honestly, even though I knew the gun was only a laser gun, he kinda looked threatening.
I smiled as I heard the buzzer go off again. He turned to see Reiko Muranaka smiling as she registered what happened. The lights came back on and Hotaru took off his vest. He grabbed my arms and helped me up. "Good game. Sorry about that Tatsuo-kun. I get too into these kind of things sometimes." He said. He smiled and walked off.
Reiko frowned. That guy's a little weird." She said, taking off her vest. "Good game by the way." She said. Isamu ran over to us. "Guys, you did so good!" He cheered.
I thought about earlier and how upset Isamu was. I was just glad that he was happy again. Isamu was a good guy, and I hated seeing him so upset.
"Hey, there's a place I wanna visit." Reiko said. Isamu nodded. "I'm gonna check out the Sporting Goods store." He said, walking off.
"Hey, Aisho... mind following me to the small store beside this place?" She asked. I nodded. We exited the building and noticed that the sun had already began to set.
Monokuma popped up. "Oh! You guys. Okay, sooooo I didn't put this in the rules, but you can't be in town after night hours are called." He said. "Which is in about thirty minutes." With that, he disappeared (most likely to tell other people the new rule).
Reiko grabbed my hand and dragged me off to the small store beside 'Laser Tag'. The sign above was a yellow sign that read in black letters, 'Convenience.'
Inside was a very basic place. The floor was clean, and multiple shelves with a variety of stuff lined the store. She smiled. "You know Aisho... this place wouldn't be so bad if we weren't being forced to murder each other." She said. I looked down and noticed... she hadn't let go of my hand... not that I was complaining.
"C'mon. Let's check this stuff out." She said, dragging me down the medicine aisle. She stopped and grabbed a pack of bandages. "Look at this. There's this purple-haired nurse on it." She said. The nurse looked familiar. I could've swore I saw her before. "Uh... that's Mikan Tsumiki." I said. "She's one of the students who's on the cans of soda." I said. She smiled and kept walking. We passed multiple aisles with a variety of stuff in them, water guns, plush toys, small arts and crafts, and even an aisle with candy, which wasn't as good as the candy from the actual candy store.
The next aisle was terrifying. The first thing I saw was a pair of scissors. As the aisle went on, the items became more terrifying. A floral print knife, a butcher knife, a hatchet, and even a chainsaw. We ran out of that aisle.
The last one was just food, drinks, and paint. Large, glass containers of soda lined the walls. Oddly enough, opposite of that was glass containers of red paint.
"Oh! Aisho it's almost night hours." She said. She placed two MonoCoins on the counter. "C'mon. Monokuma will get mad if we don't get back in time." She said.
We ran. We made it past the buildings and into the park when Monokuma's voice rang out. "Bing bong! It's night time! Everyone has made it back in time! How boring."
Me and Reiko walked upstairs. When we finally got to her floor, she smiled at me. "Hey... Aisho. Do you care to go to the museum with me tomorrow? There's something I need to check out." She said. I nodded.
"Goodnight Number Two!" She said, shutting her door.
???'s POV
"They're playing this as expected." I mumbled to nobody in particular, seeing as I was completely alone. But it was true. Gushiken had killed Wakahisa just like I assumed. I felt myself giggle at the next name on the list. Oh their death would cause so much despair.
I was surprised at how well my mole was doing too. They haven't shown any signs of losing cover. That's a good thing. If they messed up, like Mukuro Ikusaba did... well, let's not ruin this moment thinking about how violent their death would be. I giggled.
"Oh Onni-chan! I love you so much!" I said, pulling out her necktie. It was the only thing I could salvage. It still smelled like her... I slid it over my neck and wore it with pride. Onni-chan would be proud.
