Shuichi Saihara (Shuichi x Kokichi)

Something I came up with myself. Sorry if it's pretty bad, I always try as hard as I can!

Kokichi giggled, his menacing smirk gracing his features. Not only did he find teasing Kaito satisfying in general, but his reaction was what really enticed Kokichi to keep coming back for more.

"You fucking-" Kaito began growling before Kokichi's infamous laugh(would he really class it as a laugh? Kokichi wasn't sure) interrupted him.

"Nishishish, Momotaa~! You shouldn't use such bad language infront of the children!" He cried out in a sing-song type voice.

"The fuck do you mean children, you asshole!"

Perhaps Kaito had really been dense and not noticed the audience the two of them had gathered. Whilst admittedly small, a few of their classmates had been seated, watching as Kokichi continuously teased Kaito. Maybe they had all moved on from Kokichi's antics, but they all seemed to be intrigued with the argument (and perhaps soon-to-be violence) growing between the two.

Ryouma had sighed, mumbling something Kokichi didn't quite hear, but probably something self deprecating. Tsumugi sat closest to the tennis player, yet still a fair few seats away from him, chatting to Rantaro about some anime she had recently watched. Admittedly, the green-haired male seemed more interested in the floor than in the anime-fanatic. Kokichi gathered that Kirumi had most likely excuse herself to either continue cleaning or to begin breakfast, which they had all become accustomed to since being trapped in the school.

The one classmate that had caught his eye though was the navy-haired male who had secluded himself from their classmates. He had his hat covering his eyes, as if to shield himself from the chaos that was happening before him.

Kokichi tilted his head, confused at the behaviour the detective was displaying. Usually, he would attempt to stop Kokichi's teasing, or at least calm Kaito down enough so that neither got physical with each other.

"Eh, whatever Momota! You're boring me now! Go rant about space to Harukawa or something as equally boring." He stated. Ignoring the response Kaito was giving, he decided to place himself near to the detective to try and work out the suspicious behaviour he was seeing.

"Shuichi~" He whined, grabbing the mentioned boy's arm as he dramatically sat down next to the detective.

"Shuichi's here? I never noticed! I'm so sorry Shuichi!" Tsumugi exclaimed, attempting to grant Shuichi a good morning, however rambling more about the anime she had been trying to tell Rantaro about.

"Hey, Nerd, stop rambling about references none of us will understand!" Kokichi shouted, watching as his favourite (not that he'd publicly admit it without his usual liar-type tone) classmate winced at the volume in his voice.

"Hm?" Shuichi look up, removing the hand holding down his hat from his face, looking at the purple haired boy beside him. His eyes were slightly glazed, but Kokichi couldn't see anything alarmingly wrong with the boy.

"Oh, you and Kaito have stopped arguing?" Shuichi asked, confused. Kokichi's eyebrows narrowed. He'd given up with Momota before he even sat down, let alone when Tsumugi started talking to him.

"Mhm! I decided Momota was way~ to boring to even entertain! So I decided to talk to my beloved instead!" He giggled, watching as the detective sighed.

"I-I'm really not in the mood, Kokichi. I'm sorry."

Kokichi stopped, stunned. Whilst he knew Shuichi didn't enjoy his teasing like the rest of his classmates, Shuichi at least allowed Kokichi to entertain himself with teasing him. Shuichi never intentionally shut the purple-haired boy out, so for him to do so, it shocked Kokichi. Greatly.

"A-Am I no longer good enough for my beloved?" Kokichi asked, his crocodile tears falling from his eyes as he began wailing. Whilst wailing, Kokichi watched as Shuichi yet again flinched from the loudness of the shorter boy.

"That was a lie. I'm always good enough for my beloved!" He smiled, the crocodile tears leaving as quickly as they came. The taller of the two sighed, standing up from his seat.

"Leaving so soon, Saihara?" It was Rantaro that had questioned him, most likely seeing how the detective was acting as well.

"My apologies Amami. If anyone asks where I am..." The detective had to think of something before answering. "Just say I wasn't hungry."

After bidding a very quiet goodbye, the detective soon left.

"Man, Shuichi definately doesn't seem like himself."

Of course Kaito would be the first to open his mouth.

"Well, looks like I'm going to have to torture what's bothering him out of his pretty little mind!" Kokichi laughed, going to skip out of the room before being being stopped by Ryouma's voice.

"Don't be too harsh on Saihara, Ouma."

He nodded, not finding a quick enough response to reply to the small teen before quickly skipping out the room.

After retreating to the dorms, he smiled, about to knock softly on the other male's door before being interrupted.

"And what's a degenerate like you doing bothering someone like Saihara!"

"What's it got to do with a feminazi like you! Shouldn't you be trying to sneak a peak at Himiko." He spat, watching the aikido master gasp.

"Tenko would never fall to the standards of doing degenerate-like behaviour" She exclaimed before running off at the sheer thought of being like one of the males. Kokichi cackled, amused at how easy it was to annoy someone like her before being interrupted by the door opening.

"I thought I told you-"

"Hey, Shuichi~" He whined, "Let me in, would you? You wouldn't want me dying from hypothermia, would you?"

The detective sighed, having no choice other than to let the supreme leader in.

"What is it, Kokichi."

"Can't I come and check in on my beloved from time to time? If you happen-" He was interrupted by the boy infront of him coughing.

Kokichi sighed, gathering this was what was wrong with the detective. The reaction to noise, delayed reaction to his surroundings.

"Hey." He whispered softly to the navy haired male. "Go lay down, I'll see if Kirumi can make you some Tea or Coffee."

"M'fine, I promise." The boy mumbled, seemingly defeated. Kokichi rolled his eyes, lightly pushing the detective backwards onto his bed.

"You should be resting up Shuichi~. Who can we rely on if you aren't in top shape!" He said before quickly exiting to the Cafeteria to see the maid he often referred to a his mother.

"Mum~" He called out, watching the maid turn around at the call of her name.

"May I be of assistance to you, Ouma?" She politely asked. He nodded.

"I need Coffee, and I need it now!" He called out, dramatically putting a hand onto his forehead. The women kindly smiled, before handing the boy a steaming mug of the requested beverage.

"Anything else you require, Ouma?" She asked, turning back to check on the food she was cooking. He pretended to think for a minute before shaking his head.

"This should be alright for now!" He replied, laughing as he walked off.

After returning to his beloved room, Kokichi quietly opened the door. Whilst he knew it was highly unlikely, he ensured that he was quiet in case Shuichi had taken the initiative to sleep his illness off, or at least tried to lay down.

Alas, Kokichi wasn't surprised to see the detective sat in a chair reading, trying to focus on the words, but failing miserably.

"Shuichi?" He asked, his tone light, almost as if he was afraid to talk to the taller of the two. Of course, Kokichi didn't fear Shuichi; if anything, it would be Shuichi who feared him.

"Hm?" Shuichi looked up, startled at the fact someone was in the room with him. Was his head hurting that much? He'd started actually hallucinating his classmates and their voices. Whatever his hallucinations were doing, they were doing a terrible job. This wasn't Kokichi's usual act, not in the slightest. His head could be a little kinder to-

"What're you doing?" Kokichi asked again, his tone remaining calm. Shuichi tilted his head, confused. After a couple of moments of silence. Kokichi realised he wouldn't be receiving an answer, and instead sat next to Shuichi, taking the book from his hands. He quietly closed the book, setting it to the side and replacing the book with the coffee he'd just requested from Kirumi.

"Drink that up and then you're resting, alright?" Kokichi persisted, guiding Shuichi's hands closer to his face, encouraging him to drink.

" 'M not thirsty.." He mumbled, trying to push away Kokichi's hands.

"But I worked so hard for that! You don't even know how far I travelled to get the beans, let alone boil the water, put it all togeth-"

"You got Toujo to make it, didn't you?" Shuichi asked, looking up.

"Opps! Looks like you've caught me again!" He giggled, reaching up to take Shuichi's hair. Shuichi whined, but made no efforts to reach back for it.

"I'll tell you what. If you have two sips of that coffee and then lay down, I won't make you drink anymore!" Kokichi bargained, hoping the other boy would accept. Shuichi seemed to think about it for a minute.

"If you stay with me?"

"Of course!" Kokichi answered instantly before realising what he'd promised. Oh well, a night with Shuichi wouldn't be too bad.

Shuichi seemed to sip the coffee quite quickly, although he did grimace afterwards. Kokichi shook his head. It wasn't worth worrying about every silly little thing his beloved did.

Grabbing onto the detective's hands, he stood up, pulling the other boy up with him. At least, that's what he was attempting. Shuichi was certainly not the heaviest of their classmates, in fact far from it, but he had the advantage of height against the trickster, which did trouble him in pulling the detective up.

Shuichi did seem to understand what he was getting at as he did stand up soon after, leaning quite heavily onto Kokichi.

Kokichi lead them both to Shuichi's bed, laying down before allowing to Shuichi to rest on him. Shuichi settled with resting his head on the supreme leader's stomach, closing his eyes. Kokichi ran his fingers through the navy locks smiling softly at the boy.

" 'M.. love you Kokichi." Shuichi had mumbled, barely conscious. Kokichi's smile widened as he giggled.

"I love you to, my beloved detective." He whispered, leaning down and kissing the detective forehead before Shuichi fell into a peaceful slumber, Kokichi following soon after.
