Rantaro Amami (Rantaro & Friends)
And again, requested by the amazing shadow_dancer66 who requested Rantaro one because avocado boi and Rantaro has been avoiding his other classmates, not showing up to meals, ignoring them or hiding in his room all day. Kaito brings up Rantaro's disappearances and decides that Shuichi should investigate. Kokichi decides to go with Shuichi and the two head off to Rantaro's room where they find his room trashed with tissues, tea, a few buckets and other sock people things and Rantaro passed out with a high fever and sweating badly. Then Ouma gets Kurumi for help and at the end Rantaro is confused but grateful for everyone for caring.
Woo, that's a lot, but thank you so much for the detail! I did change a couple of parts, so I really hope you don't mind!
"Monokuma really keeps persisting with this damn motive. When's he gonna shut his fucking mouth and realise we ain't about the killing life." Kaito muttered as he dragged Shuichi along the hall. Shuichi shrugged, staying silent in fear of annoying either the robotic bear or his best friend. Perhaps he would've ended up annoying both.
"Maybe he's stubborn like you, Momota-Chan!" Kokichi cackled, clutching his stomach in hysterics. "Whatever, I'm already over you."
"Why was I grouped with idiots." Maki muttered, turning away from the boys she'd been paired with. Kokichi smirked, clinging onto Maki as if he was a young child refusing to be split from his mother. She scowled harshly.
"What are we even bothering to look for anyway?" Maki inquired, shaking Kokichi off her arm. Shuichi sighed.
"Gonta insisted that he had seen something when he went for a walk with Iruma, so we're trying to see whether or not it has any importance." Shuichi explained. Kokichi yawned loudly.
"Boring!" He shouted. "Can't we do something fun for once? We always investigate, Saihara-Chan! It's almost as if you love investigating more than me..."
Kokichi began wailing, his crocodile tears succeeding in only annoying his classmates and Maki threatening to take his life away. Shuichi sighed deeply, wishing for the ground to swallow him whole as Kaito rolled his eyes at the scene.
"Gotta agree with the asshole a little, Shuichi. We're the only ones who seem bothered, so why are we investigating?" Kaito asked. Maki cocked her head to look at Shuichi.
"Because it's to ensure the safety of everyone, Kaito. Surely you can agree that it's vital to make sure everyone's safe?"
"You got me there." Kaito muttered to himself. "Anyway. What did Gonta insist he'd seen?"
"Well, he said he-"
Before Shuichi could finish his sentence, a loud scream came from behind the four. They all turned around, confused, but alarmed at the same time. Maki unsheathed a knife, but rolled her eyes when she saw Tenko slam Korekiyo onto the floor with another mighty scream.
"Tenko told everyone to leave her and her friends alone!" Tenko shouted.
"My apologies, Chabashira, however Toujo and I were only enquiring if you knew-"
"Tenko doesn't want to hear any excuses!" She interrupted before storming off. Shuichi furrowed his brows, walking over to Korekiyo and helping the male up from the floor.
"What happened?" Shuichi asked politely as the others walked over to join him. Kiyo sighed, dusting himself off.
"Well, Toujo and I were only searching and enquiring to see if anyone had seen Rantaro. We were unaware of Tenko, Himiko and Angie's... chilling session by the pool, and so we-"
"Get to the point." Kokichi yawned. Kiyo glared at him.
"We only asked if any of them had seen Rantaro, and Tenko, for some reason, believed she had to rid me of the room." Kiyo summed up.
"Why do you need Rantaro?" Maki asked.
"Toujo was concerned, for she hasn't seen him for a couple of days." Kiyo explained. "I insisted that I would accompany her for her search."
"Now that's something I want to investigate! C'mon, Shuichi!" Kokichi shouted, pulling on Shuichi's arm. Shuichi silenced Kokichi and held onto his arm to stop the prankster from moving.
"Where have you searched for him?" Shuichi asked the anthropologist. Kiyo sighed once more.
"I believe Toujo and I ventured all of the first floor bar the dorms." He responded honestly. "Perhaps I should check the upper floors with Toujo, and you could check the dorms?"
"Sounds good to me! Let's go, Saihara-chan!" Kokichi shouted, finally able to drag Shuichi away.
Once the pair had reached the dorms, Kokichi sighed, dropping his shoulders as he stopped walking. Shuichi stopped beside him, a frown etched onto his face.
"Surely we should start with his room?" Kokichi asked, waltzing up to Rantaro's room nonetheless.
"That's too obvious of a place to hide, though." Shuichi muttered to himself, knocking on the door anyway.
They were met with silence. Kokichi rolled his eyes as Shuichi shook his head.
"Knew it'd be too obvious." Kokichi muttered to himself. He began walking off before pausing at a sound from within the room.
"Amami?" Shuichi questioned, knocking louder on the door. "Can you open the door please? We're all conceded about you."
Nothing. Silence once again.
Kneeling by the door handle, Kokichi instantly withdrew a hairpin from within his pocket. After reshaping the item, he placed it in the lock of the door, twisting until he heard a click. Shuichi gasped, attempting to stop Kokichi as the smaller of the two opened the door.
"Ouma, isn't this trespassing?" Shuichi asked. Kokichi shrugged.
"I'd say it's more concern for a friend." Kokichi responded slyly as he stepped over a sweater on the floor. Shuichi reluctantly followed him before his eyes widened.
"Amami?" Shuichi asked as he rushed over to the males bed.
The green-haired male never stirred, his eyes still closed. He groaned in his sleep, shifting about uncomfortably. Kokichi stared at him before slowly backing out the room.
"I-I'll go get Kirumi!" Kokichi stammered as he ran out the room.
Shuichi turned, ready to respond, before realising Kokichi had already left. He sighed. Running his hands through Rantaro's hair, he attempted to coax Rantaro out of his sleep state.
"Amami, can you hear me?" He softly asked, his nails scraping across Rantaro's scalp.
Rantaro whined, coughing loudly as he did so. Shuichi removed his hands. He fumbled around with them before setting them in his lap.
"Its alright Amami, Ouma's gone to find Toujo. You'll be fine." Shuichi reassured.
Within a couple of minutes, Kirumi and Kokichi returned. Korekiyo trailed behind them, almost as if he didn't wish to impose on the scene. Kirumi immediately knelt down by the bed, moving aside the bucket Rantaro had placed. She lightly shook his shoulders.
"Amami-kun?" She asked.
Rantaro slowly peeled his eyes open before a series of coughs overtook his frame. Kirumi politely offered him a tissue, which he silently took and held to his mouth. After a few moments he managed to calm his coughing down.
"Whas'going on?" He asked, his words slurred as he attempted to sit up. Kirumi firmly pushed him back down, straightening her posture and sitting beside Shuichi on the bed. She rested a hand on his forehead before frowning.
"Its seems you have a high temperature, Amami-kun, and have managed to exceed the normal human temperature to passing-"
"Basically, you're ill." Kokichi summarised. "Not to worry! Mum, Saihara-chan and I will nurse you back to health!"
Korekiyo rolled his eyes from the doorway as he walked into Rantaro's bathroom, muttering to himself. Shuichi shook it off, focusing on Kirumi and Rantaro.
"Indeed." Kirumi said, delicately grabbing a mug of tea from Rantaro's desk. She handed it to him, but kept one hand on the mug to keep it steady.
"Drink slowly!" Kokichi patronisingly teased. Shuichi almost rolled his eyes.
"I'll go get a cold cloth or something." Shuichi offered. Before he could stand, Korekiyo stood in front of him once more, handing over a damp cloth.
"No need." He replied. He sat on the floor by the bed, folding his hands as he crossed his legs. Kokichi reluctantly sat next to him.
Shuichi placed the cloth on Rantaro's forehead. The boy shivered slightly before sighing in delight. He handed Kirumi the mug back before settling back against his pillows. They all sat in silence for a few minutes before Rantaro broke the silence with a gag.
"It's alright." Kirumi hushed him as she grabbed a bucket from the floor. Shuichi's eyes widened in alarm. "Just stay calm, take deep breathes."
Rantaro breathed deeply, gagging once more. Shuichi rubbed Rantaro's back slowly in sympathy. Kirumi pushed his hair back after placing the bucket in Rantaro's lap.
"Deep breathes." Kirumi reminded. Rantaro nodded, his gags seizing as he breathed deeply. Kirumi nodded approvingly. She removed the bucket, placing it carelessly on the floor. She pushed Rantaro softly back onto his bed before standing. Korekiyo frowned at her.
"What are you doing?" He asked, raising to his feet as well.
"I'm hoping to search for a thermometer, is there a problem with that?" She asked.
"Please stay." Rantaro whispered. Kirumi turned solemnly to look at her classmate before returning back to her seat. Korekiyo smiled.
"If you insist. I only wish to serve to everyone's wishes." She responded. Rantaro laid his head on her lap. He reached his arm down from his bed to grab ahold of Kokichi's hand, as well as smiling at Korkeiyo.
"Thank you." He whispered, his voice hoarse as tears collected in his eyes. "You don't even know how grateful I am, to all of you."
"Just rest up, Rantaro." Shuichi whispered, running a hand through his hair. "We'll all be here when you wake up, I promise."
"Thank you."
