Ibuki Mioda (Ibuki & Friends)

Someone wanted an Ibuki sickfic, but they didn't have any scenario, and didn't want any ships. So I've tried to put in some characters that could look after her without making it shippy. Enjoy!!

Ibuki sighed, raising her head from her pillow. It could've have been too late, due to the morning announcement only just having been played. She couldn't exactly remember what time the announcement played, but she couldn't blame herself. Her head was incredibly foggy, and trying to think of something logical in that haze was a battle she was definitely going to lose.

"Just like Byakuya's battle against Teruteru." She thought to herself, before shaking her head. She couldn't be thinking about the awful fate of the Affluent Progeny, nor Chef. Neither could be to blame, it was that stupid bear, and they would overcome him. She was sure of it.

Rising from her bed, she stumbled before groaning. Her body felt incredibly heavy, and she could hardly walk in a straight line. As well as that, she had risen far too early, dizziness overtaking her vision.

She couldn't let this get her down, she had to make her way to the hotel. Everyone would be waiting there. If she didn't turn up, she'd definitely be questioned, and some people would lose trust in her. She definitely didn't want that. She loved her friends, no matter how weird some of them got.

Shaking her head, she worked up the determination to walk out of her cottage, despite still being in her night clothing. Silently, she closed her door, gripping onto for a few extra moments to stabilise herself.

Someone had began calling out her name, and she looked up. Turning around, she found herself faced with the Swordswoman, a concerned look etched onto her face. She tilted her head, silencing the groan that wished to escape her.

"Pekoyama!" She greeted with a smile on her face. "You wanna hear a song~?"

Of course, she had been in no state to play Peko music. Had the woman requested it, though, she wouldn't have hesitated to play one of her hit songs. Perhaps her newer songs would be more fitted to the other woman-

"I'm quite alright, thank you Mioda." Peko politely declined. "I was wondering if you were alright, however. Now that I'm closer it's clear that you are in no state to come and join us. Perhaps you should return to your-"

"What?" She asked, practically shouting. There was no way she was going to miss breakfast. "Ibuki's fine, Pekoyama! You're worrying too much. If she put on a show, you'd enjoy it a lot! Perhaps it would calm you do-"

She interrupted herself with a cough. Peko was quick with her actions, patting her softly, but firm enough for results, on her back. She whispered something encouraging before Ibuki spat onto the path infront of her, away from Pekoyama, embarrassed.

"I... uh...Sor-"

"It's quite alright." Peko dismissed, holding onto her arm. She looked at her arm intensely, trying to figure why Pekoyama would be holding onto her. "However, if you are insisting that you are fit enough to come and join us for breakfast, I must assist you there. I do not trust you to make that distance on your own."

Ibuki groaned, wishing the other girl would mind her own business and just back off a little. Sure, it was kind of nice for someone to be concerned about her, but she could look after herself. She wasn't like Komaeda, who could, and would, get himself into situations he'd need help out of.

"Fine." She muttered, beginning to walk before stumbling. Peko's other arm caught her, steadying her, before a small smile graced her face. Ibuki smiled. She liked it when her classmates smiled.

"Perhaps you should let me lead you there, Mioda." Peko suggested, Ibuki nodding and muttering in agreement.

After allowing Pekoyama to lead her to the entrance of the hotel, she stopped. Pekoyama also halted at Ibuki's unannounced stop, but she complied. Looking up, she could see the Ultimate Yakuza, rolling his eyes at Ibuki.

"They're all waiting for you, you know?" He growled. "Moaning how fucking late you both are. Wouldn't stop fucking shouting about it. Came out here to avoid their fucking noise."

"Thank you, Kuzuryuu, however we can handle it from here. Would you care to join us?" Pekoyama said. He sighed, rolling his eyes.

"Wouldn't fucking hurt, I suppose."

Ibuki smiled. Regardless of the fact of her and Kuzuryuu not being close, hardly even classmates, she was still happy at the fact that he didn't isolate himself. She also might've shipped Kuzuryuu and Pekoyama, seeing as he only seemed to agree with the girl, but she could keep that to herself. Hopefully.

They entered the Hotel, slowly walking up the stairs (still with Pekoyama's guidance, but Kuzuryuu walked behind her, patient with her. It was kind of nice, if she was being honest) before being bombarded by a bunch of familiar faces.

"Mioda, are you alright! Kuzuryuu actually listened then." Koizumi spoke, smiling at the musician. Ibuki smiled back, but leaned heavily onto Pekoyama. She needed a break. Pekoyama seemed to understand, pulling out a chair next to Chiaki. The girl smiled at her.

"Hello, Ibuki." She greeted, putting down her game boy. Ibuki smiled back.

"Chiaki!" She shouted, before wincing, followed by coughing. It seemed she wasn't up for her usual loudness, nor was her throat capable of more than a small conversation. Nevertheless, she smiled again at the gamer.

"Are you not well?" Chiaki asked, turning to face the girl before yawning. Ibuki shook her head.

"Ibuki's fine! She swears on her honour!" Ibuki replied, trying to reassure the gamer. She didn't seem to buy it.

"Are you sure, Ibuki?" Chiaki asked. Hinata sat down next to her, offering a small greeting to her before talking to Komaeda.

"Ibuki's fine, Chiaki! She thinks you're worrying too much!" Ibuki answered.

Sure, her head was killing her. Her limbs were heavier than she remembered. She felt incredibly hot, but was shivering at the same time. She was struggling to breathe through her nose. But she was fine. Chiaki had nothing to worry about.

"You look quite pale, Mioda." Hinata commented, turning to face the girls. "Are you sure you're alright? None of us will mind if you head back to your cottage."

"Indeed, Hinata is correct. You are incredibly pale, Mioda. You're kind of putting me to shame." Komaeda chuckled.

"Ibuki's fine!" She insisted, getting rather annoyed at all the attention she was getting. She was fine, she could deal with it.

"Mioda, you're clearly not." Hinata replied.

"No, she insists, she is-"

She never finished her sentence, suddenly falling forwards onto the table, her world going black.

"Mioda?!" Many of Mioda's classmates shouted. Tsumiki ran over, somehow managing not to trip over, placing her hand on Mioda's forehead. She hummed, pulling her hand back, a frown on her face.

"S-S-She has q-q-quite t-t-the fever!" She stuttered out, attempting to pull Mioda up from the table. Pekoyama helped her, pulling the girl to be sat up and holding her in place.

"The hell we gonna do then?" It was Souda who had commented. Tsumiki thought for a moment.

"W-W-W-We could bring her to h-h-h-her cottage a-a-and treat her there?" Tsumiki suggested.

"Indeed, that sounds like a good idea. How noble of you, Tsumiki!" Sonia congratulated.

"Ya need help bringing her to her cottage?" Owari offered. Nidai nodded.

"If you require my help, please don't hesitate to find us." He offered before pulling Owari away.

"I-I-I think we can all handle it, r-r-r-right?" She asked.

Sighing from the end of the table. Tanaka shook his head. To make such an offer and then to leave the poor mortal alone. How foolish of the mortal. He walked over to Tsumiki, lifting Mioda into his arms. Sure, it wasn't something he'd appreciate being seen doing normally, and certainly destroyed his villain-type persona, but if it was for his classmates, things couldn't be helped.

"Would you accompany to the mortal's cottage, or do I have to use my power to take her by myself."

"W-We'll come." Hinata mumbled, pulling on Komaeda and Nanami's arms. Both nodded, and many of them followed him.

After returning to Mioda's cottage, Tanaka gently laid the girl down on the bed. It seemed he was no longer needed, his assistance being far more than enough. As he went to leave, he was stopped by a weak grip on his arm. Pausing, the breeder turned around, facing the sick girl. She smiled weakly.

"Ibuki is happy you helped her out. Thanks, Tanaka."

He nodded, muttering a 'your welcome' before leaving.

Ibuki smiled, attempting to sit up before being lightly pushed down. Tsumiki was attempting to make her better, so she had no choice but to follow the nurse. After all, these were her expertise. Who was she to try and fight back.

"Y-Y-You have a-an i-i-i-incredibly h-high fever, M-Mioda." She commented, stuttering. "P-P-Perhaps i-it would b-be better f-f-for you to stay i-in bed."

"Ibuki swears she will, Tsumiki! Thank you!" She replied cheerfully. Tsumiki nodded before leaving. The only people left in her room, besides her, was Chiaki, Hinata and Komaeda.

"Tsumiki insisted that whilst the others checked out the new island, some of us remained to look after you." Chiaki stated. She had her game boy out, concentrating on her game, but managing to sit herself down on the edge of her bed. She sat by Ibuki, but said no more.

"Ah, yes. She said it would be best if Nanami stayed with you especially, seeing as your friendship is so special. Especially with the amount of hope-"

"Nagito." Hinata sighed. "Just... stop with the hope."

Perhaps she wouldn't mind being ill, as long as she was surrounded by her friends.

Or at least, she didn't mind until she was sick all over Komaeda.

Pretty crap, pretty short, but I thought I'd get this out as soon as possible as I'm currently working on something else. Hope you enjoyed!
