Known's POV

I sighed deeply, getting off the bed.

Well, today was the day.

I go and find spark.

Aaaand probably save her.

Ashley was still healing, so I doubt she'll get to Flora City anytime soon.

Kit...well, she wasn't too bad off from the fight, so she will probably leave not too long after me.

Though not too long is a relative term....

I went down to the kitchen to grab breakfast before heading out.

:Morning, Known.:  Sub said as he ate his breakfast.

Yeah...he can talk while eating at the same time without making a mess.  Lucky.

I smiled slightly.  "Hey, Sub."

:So...you're out to get your friend back?:

I nodded.  "Just need to get something to eat before heading out."

I went into the kitchen to see Velloa cleaning the stove.  She turned to me.  "Oh, hi, Known!  Here, I made you a plate already."

She handed me a plate with eggs and bacon.

Yay, stereotypical breakfast!

I went back to the dining room to see Kit and Ashley walk in.  Ashley was limping, but she was doing much better.

I sat down, smiling at my friends.  "Mornin'!"

Kit waved and Ashley smiled before heading into the kitchen.

:Hey, Known....:

I looked over at Sub.  "Yeah?"

:...How is Sky?  I haven't seen him in a while....  I know he's currently under the influence of Herobrine, but....:  He trailed off.

I took a bit of egg and shrugged.  "As far as I could tell, he looked ok.  Then again, you slightly answered your own question.  I don't know how Sky is doing entirely."

Kit and Ashley came back in with their food and sat down.  "So, you're heading out to spark?"  Kit asked.

"spark and Aura."  I corrected.  "She may be...dead...but Becca said she could save Aura."

Kit nodded.  "I'll probably head out tomorrow.  My wings are achy, but I'm using them a bit today so they're ready for tomorrow."

Velloa walked in with a plate as Ashley sighed.  "It'll probably be a few days for me.  My wings hurt when I move them too much."

:Stay as long as you need.  We don't particularly have anywhere to be.:

Velloa nodded.  "Remember, I have a high education in mechanics and biology.  If you need anything particular in machinery, I can probably get it for you."

"I think I'm good."

"Same."

"I'll keep that in mind."  Ashley said.

I finished my food and stood, taking the dishes back to the kitchen and then coming back.

"I'm heading out."

Kit stood and came up to me, hugging me.  "Be careful, ok?  We already lost someone."

I chuckled and pulled back.  "I'll try, Kit.  Y'all stay safe, too."

They all nodded.

I turned and left the mansion.

I stretched my wings, yawning.

The sun was just above the horizon, so I had about 12ish hours to use the light.

spark is probably ranting on that pirate ship about some scientific thing about light not tracking....

She DOES realize she was SUMMONED into a BOOK and got turned into a WOLF PUP.

I rolled my eyes.  She'd still rant.

I spread my wings and flew to the top of the mansion to get a better view of the sun.

I sighed, closing my eyes and concentrating on spark's essence.

Everyone had light in them.  Some I'm more accustomed to than others.

Cue IRL spark rant....

Almost like an eagle-eye view, I visually flew over the ocean to the spot where spark's essence was strongest.  I found it on a pirate ship with a black flag and a zombie head on it.  It was extremely faded.  She was probably in the ship.

I figured the general direction of her essence before opening my eyes.

The yellow sparks around me dissipated.

I stretched my wings once more before taking off, letting the light loosely guide me.

And that was that.

I flew when there was light and slept when there wasn't.  I picked apples off trees when I could.

Finally, I got to the ocean.  It was dusk of the second day.

I landed in a forest not too far from the ocean and stretched my wings again.

After not being used for...probably a week or so, they ached quite a bit.

I climbed a tree and sat on the uppermost branch that could hold me before wrapping my wings around myself like a blanket.

I let my mind wander for a bit.

How were the others doing?  Were they alright?

I hoped her body was ok....

I eventually fell asleep.

In the morning, I awoke, almost falling off the branch.

I carefully unwrapped myself and got down from the tree.

And then a sharp pain hit me in the arm.

I yelled and turned to see a skeleton hanging out under a tree.  He shot again and I ducked behind the tree I was sleeping in.

Painfully, I removed the arrow and threw it down.

I called some sparks down through the trees and formed a small ball of light.

I peeked out from behind the tree and threw the ball.

It hit the skeleton and it died almost instantly.

Ok, it wasn't THAT powerful.  I'm guessing it had been in the sun and ducked under a tree with a little health left.

I walked out of the forest onto the strip of land in front of the ocean.

I clutched my arm, wincing at the pain.

I called down some more sparks and they wrapped around my wound, blocking it like an invisible bandage.

I sighed heavily and stretched my wings before taking off.

As I flew, I called more sparks to form around me as I flew near the water.  Anyone who saw me would think it was just a shimmer of the water.  The sparks reflected the water around me to hide me.

I flew for a while before I saw a blob in the distance.  As I got closer, I saw a ship.  The ship with spark.

I slowed down a bit but continued forward until I was right next to the ship.

I pushed myself against the ship, my wings now wrapped around me to allow smaller room taken up which means less like to be seen.

The sparks that were hiding me moved to pin me against the ship in a way that I could sidle along it.

I moved around the ship until I was underneath the plank.  I heard movement like shoving or yanking.  I also heard growling.

spark.

I stayed quiet underneath the plank until I heard a voice.

"Well, seems like we're all here, so let's get this feast started!"

What?

There was some more movement and then someone yelled.  "NO! DON'T----"  A thud.

"Please...."   I heard a voice above me.

Some creaking and then....

A man fell off the plank into the water.  He sunk swiftly.  He looked up at me with pleading eyes.

I winced, looking away.

My power was already kinda drained from shielding and holding.  I...can't save everyone.

"NO! YOU BASTARD!  YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!"  The voice why cried out the "no don't" thing yelled.

There were some sorrowful howls as another man fell into the water with a yell.  He didn't see me.

"YOUS ARE MENTAL! STOPS!"

That was Barney....

A loud smack sounded then silence.

Someone probably smacked him to shut up.

Then...spark howled again, but a choking sound followed.  It took all my willpower to not go up there.

"Please...let me go...please...."  A female voice cried above me.

"REEEEEED!!!!"  She cried as she fell.

I couldn't take it any longer.  When she hit the water, I made some sparks yank her back up and cover her mouth while they cut off her bonds.

I put a finger to my lips and she nodded as the sparks left her mouth and maneuvered her to be up against the side of the ship.

"IMOGEEEEENNNN!!!!"   The voice yelled.

Imogen had tears coming from her eyes, but she stayed quiet.

"Oh ho ho...I think I just broke apart a couple~"

Ok, I don't like whoever that voice belongs to....

There were some murmurs and then....  "While I'm on the subject of making things worse...."

Uh oh....

spark howled loudly, little choking sounds coming out, too.  She was struggling hard, it seemed.

The plank creaked and I looked up to see....

Oh my God....

Someone was holding Aura's body over the water.

"Y'all were wondering why I kept this particular body around. Well...."  That evil voice said.

Then...he dropped Aura's body.

I immediately set up the sparks to catch her after her body hit the water so it sounded like she hit it.

With slight difficulty, I held her body to the side of the ship.

"YOU ARE SICK! YOUS WILL BE PAYINGS FOR ALL THIS SOMEDAYS!!!!"  Barney yelled.

Nothing else was said beside the evil voice's laughter and...more...people being pushed into the water....

Imogen covered her mouth when one man cried out as he sank.

This happened several more times until....  "Well then, I think it's time for the finale, wouldn't you say, old friend ?"

Silence followed by some murmurs.  Then a yelp.

"NO!"  Yelled the voice from before.

There were more creaking sounds.  "NO!"  Barney cried.

"I think it's time you two parted ways...."  The evil voice said.

Then...Barney fell.

I caught him after he hit the water and did the same to him as I did to Imogen.

I put my finger to my lips and moved him next to Imogen.

A thud sounded followed by indistinct murmurs.

A lot of people laughed.  "Oh, yes.... And now...I think it's----"

My turn, butthole.

"Your turn."  I said.

I looked to Imogen and mouthed, 'You'll stay down here, k?'

She nodded and I pulled Aura's body and Barney close to me.  I had to put a sphere around them to keep them from falling.

"What the...?"  The evil voice began.

I unfurled my wings and released the sparks before flapping to above deck.

I saw many pirates and Red tied up near the plank.  spark was tied between two men holding ropes, keeping her in place.  She looked shocked to see me.

The evil voice turned and it was Nick, but not Nick from DRM...F.   A pirate one.

He stared at me with wide eyes.

I sneered.  "Are you ready, Nick? Cuz I'm about to LIGHT UP YOUR WORLD."

Wait, didn't we end spark's chapter with that?

"Gosh, you guys, shush! "

Sorry....
