WHY

The next day I went to see Alterform with Adam and Jerome. I took my letter down that I wrote at the countdown too. "Well... What do you guys want me to see?" Adam asked.

"Shhhhh..." Jerome shushed. "We can't talk about it now... C'mon!"

Adam sighed. "Alright."

Adam wasn't acting his usual happy self lately... It's strange really. Something's wrong. I decided not to think about it right now and we went to Alterform. "So you actually found a place?" Adam asked. "Wow..."

I reached into a compartment in my suit and took out the note I wrote at the countdown. Jerome turned the alarm clock on. "Hey Alter!"

"Oh! Hi Master Jerome, Master Adam and Master Jason!" Alterform greeted. "Do you need some info? 'Cause I found some!"

"Really?!" Adam asked, shocked.

"Yeah, the Mastermind is... Still alive." Alter informed.

"Seriously?" Jerome asked. "I wish he was dead."

"We all do Jerome." Adam sighed.

"And the Mastermind is one of you. One of your fellow Minecraftians is the Mastermind." Alterform added.

"Why? They have the same chance as we do to get murdered." Jerome sighed. "It's stupid."

"It is." I agreed.

Alterform sighed. "Yes I know... But do you need anything else?"

"No I think we'r-" Adam started.

I cut him off. "No we're not... Well, you guys can if you want..."

"Well... I guess I'll go..." Adam muttered. "I'll... Uh... See you later... I guess..." And he walked out.

"Well. That was weird." Jerome looked back where Adam left.

"Yeah..." I nodded.

"I'll stay though!" Jerome smiled.

"You do that." I replied and turned over to Alter. "Alter, I wrote something that I want you to keep, just in case I die."

"Hmm... Well you can't insert it... I may be able to make this a moment in time and whatnot to keep safe." Alterform noted.

I gave him the paper. "Thank you!" Alter smiled.

Then Alterform concentrated and he smiled again. "All copied down! You can take the paper for safe-keeping if you want."

I smiled thankfully at him. "Thanks Alter!"

"You're welcome!" Alterform nodded and he turned off.

Me and Jerome went out and into the hallway. "What was the note about?" Jerome asked.

"Just in case this happens again to another group of Minecrafters." I replied. "I left some tips on that paper." I put the paper back into my suit.

"Ah." Jerome nodded. "Did you notice that Adams been acting... Er, different lately?"

"Yeah." I sighed. "He's falling to despair..."

It was almost lunch so we went to the meeting hall. "Hi guys!" Brice greeted. "Did you see Alterform?"

"Yeah." I nodded. "I gave him a paper about hope and stuff like that."

Adam walked down. "Hi Adam!" Brice smiled.

"Hey." Adam replied.

Everyone else came in a while later. "So...? Anythin-" Bash started and then fell over.

"And... Three... Two... One..." Seto counted down on his fingers.

"Sup ya damn bastards!" Sukio greeted.

Silence.

"How rude!" Sukio scoffed. "I greet ya and ya don't answer back! God..."

"I think that Bash was gonna ask if there was anything new." Jerome sighed.

"What is even new? I doubt that there would be anything more..." Seto muttered.

"Actually, we found a place for Alterform!" I smiled. "We'll get out of here in no time!"

"Really?!" Brice asked shocked. "Jasons right! We are gonna get out!"

"There is a bigger possibility now..." Quentin nodded.

Seto raised an eyebrow. "But what if the Mastermind finds out? Then we're screwed."

"How will he even find a way to get out? Like, we're trapped." Adam asked.

"We're gonna get out ya blabbering, squid-hating, budder-loving idiot!" Sukio laughed. "Just ya wait and see!"

Adam glared at him. "Hey!"

"What?" Sukio asked innocently. "I'm just tellin' the truth!"

Adam growled and Seto sighed and muttered something under his breath. Brice rolled his eyes. Quentin leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes and sighed loudly. Jerome looked at Sukio with a 'seriously?' type expression. I just sat back and waited for when it would be a good idea to talk.

"Let's just get on with this!" Quentin spoke up. "The longer I stay in this room with you guys, I swear I'm gonna flip!"

"True." Seto nodded. "I want to take a nap soon and you guys are taking up all my time! That time is precious! And this talk? Right now it's worthless!"

"Um, by the way, where is Alterform?" Brice asked.

"Oh!" Jerome remembered. Then he whispered, "I'll hafta show you guys, 'cause... You know..." He gestured to a camera.

"C'mon." I murmured.

We walked out of the meeting room and went up to the fifth floor to the clock room. We went inside the trap door and I gestured to Alterforms alarm clock. "Smart..." Seto muttered.

"Hey! It's Mr. Green Guys alarm clock!" Sukio exclaimed.

"This is where Alter is if you wanna talk to him." I explained.

"Uh yeah, we can see that..." Quentin sighed. "So now can I get away from you guys?"

Jerome nodded and everyone went out of the room. I went back to my room and took a nap.
