Dandy x RnD ( Razzle and Dazzle )

The lights turned off, it was officially closing time! Dandy waved at the guests – giving some of the children hugs as they left; Dandy always hated closing time. He always felt so alone, I mean.. he technically was.

Since he was the 'Star' of the show, he was forced into a whole other section once it was nighttime. He was seen as 'greater' than the others so he wasn't really welcomed to speak to them or sleep next to any of them.

He hated nighttime.

But tonight was different.

Tonight was new!

"Goodnight our beloved star! You have a big show tomorrow so make sure you get enough sleep." A toon handlers voice spoke, their voice was too hushed to tell which one it was though.

"Mhm.." Dandy buried his face into his pillow, he made sure his face was covered fully and smiled as he heard the door close.

He waited for awhile. Hours, minutes? He couldn't tell but his heart was racing. Was he really about to disobey orders?

He crept down from his bed and quickly approached his door – opening it with a small squeal ( which he mentally hissed at due to the noise ).

He slipped out of his room into the dimly lit hallway. Dandy's hallway wasn't as bright as the toons rooms, it was mostly painted with small gray stars.

He hated the way it looked as well.

He sighed and ventured on, pearing around corners and ducking under tables. He giggled to himself, he felt like he was in a movie! A secret spy movie! He liked the sound of that.

He was so close, all he needed to do was–

"Do you have the script for tomorrow?" A female voice muttered, seemingly coming from the hallway to his left, meaning she was about to turn where he was.

"Yeah, hopefully Astro remembers his lines this time. We really need to work on his awkwardness.." A male voice spoke this time, Dandy panicked and hid under a small coffee table; luckily it was dark so they wouldn't see his colorful petals.

Dandy held his breath as he watched their feet go by, he could only assume they were heading to the writers room. He quickly squirmed from under the cramped space and made a run for it, this was his only chance and more workers might come soon!

He dashed towards the toon rooms, his tiny legs taking them as fast as he could possibly go.

After running through the cold never ending hallways, he had made it. It was so much better then he could have ever thought, especially due to the moons light.

The vibrant colors were practically bouncing off the wall, it made him warm. He hugged himself and walked closer; his hand trailing down the beautiful wallpaper – his mouth curled into a smile as he started to spin around.

"I should've done this sooner.." His Southern accent echoed throughout the hallway; not loud enough to alert anyone. "Dandy..?" He jumped, quickly turning around to see whoever had called his voice.

"Whoa! What are you doing down here.." Dandy's eyes lit up, it was his favorite pair of puppeteers! Razzle and Dazzle, "Oh am I glad to see you two! You gotta hide me! And fast!" Dandy ran over and grabbed their hands, nervously sweating as he heard the toon handlers voices again.

"Oh but where would we hide you?" "We could hide him in our room.." Dazzle suggested, Razzle nodded at this idea and they quickly led him towards their shared room.

They shut the door quietly, their hearts racing as the fear of getting caught with Dandy in their room settled in.

"What are we gonna do now?" Dazzle questioned, making Razzle look away nervously.

"Wow.. your room is really nice! There's so much more color than mine.. that's for sure. I should come here more often!" Dandy started to pick up some of their puppets, you soon realized that there were mostly wooden dolls of him.

"T-that's for our shows.." Dazzle quickly said but Dandy could tell his face was getting warmer – judging by how it went from a dark grey to more so a Black-ish blue grey.

"We made them ourselves! Took forever but it was worth it! The kids really like it as well!" Razzle piped up, his face also getting warmer. Seems like they were both hiding something.

"Well, I like them. They're adorable." Dandy held up two dolls of himself, he never really liked how he looked but the dolls made him comfortable for some reason.

"You can keep one of you'd like! It's no big deal." Razzle exclaimed making Dazzle mod in agreement, they both could just make another doll if they needed too.

"Really?! You really mean it?" Dandy clutched onto one of the dolls and brought the twins into a hug, "The pleasure is ours, Dandy.." Dazzle muttered with a faint smile on his face, it made Razzle grin as well.

"You guys are the best! I'll come back tomorrow!" Dandy pulled away from the hug, his arms now wrapped around the tiny doll of him.

"You're leaving? Right now? Can't you stay a little longer?" Razzle frowned, his hand lingering on Dandy's shoulder.

"Well, I'm not really supposed to be down here.." Dandy walked towards the doors opening it slightly before turning around and placing a kiss on both of the twins foreheads.

"But I promise you both, I'll be back tomorrow. Goodnight." Dandy slipped through the door, closing it behind him lightly before going into a full blown sprint; the doll bouncing in his hands as he jumped and ducked like before.

Razzle and Dazzle stood there speechless, they weren't sure what to say about the situation but neither were complaining.

"I could.. I could get used to this." Dazzle whispered to his brother making Razzle giggle. "Me too, besides.. I've never seen you so expressive before!" Dazzle looked away and grumbled.

"Oh shush."
