Ch. 12: A Fun Day at the Carnival

A few days later, Luz was on the crystal ball in the Owl House with a couple of the gang (Willow, Gus, Skara, and Amelia). Luz was demonstrating some of her black magic.

"And this a new spell I learned a couple days ago, called..."

She became a black mist, completely unrecognizable, and phased through the table.

"Smoke Phasing!" Luz said.

"Whoa!" Gus said in awe.

"That is pretty cool." Skara said with a grin. "Who knew Earth had some pretty cool spells?"

"Well, when you're a demon, you can do some pretty fun stuff." Luz said, "So, what about you guys? Learn anything new?"

"Well, I learned that carnivore plants from Earth are actually better than the carnivorous plants here." Amelia said before showing the same plant Luz explained on her first day.

'I really need to explain to them how Hell and Earth are different.' Luz thought.

"Nice." Luz said, "What about you, Wills?"

"Mmmm, same old same old on my end. But my dads told me about how they met and I've been taking an interest in a sport we don't have at Hexside anymore." She said as she held up a pamphlet. "It's call "Flyer Derby.""

"Flyer Derby, huh? Sounds like Roller Derby in earth but for flying." Luz comments.

"There's a club fair in a few months, I think I'm going to start the new Flyer Derby team!" Willow said, excited about it.

"Club fair? Count me in for that." Luz said before an alarm went off on her crystal ball. "Welp, there's the alarm. I better hurry to school. See you guys soon."

"Wait, you didn't hear?" Skara said before Luz could hang up.

"Hear what?" Luz asked.

"School's cancelled." Amelia said, "Something about a pixie infestation."

"Pixies? You mean those things with giant teeth and want to eat skin?" Luz asked.

"No, those are fairies. Completely different." Gus said, shaking his head.

'Okay, I'll have to ask about that later.' Luz thought.

"So... what do you guys want to do?"

"Mail call!" Hooty shouted, stretching into the kitchen and vomiting up some mail.

"What... the fuck... is that thing?" Skara asked.

"Uh, you don't want to know." Luz said.

Eda, who was at the stove the entire time, picked up the mail and looked through it.

"Let's see. Junk, junk, bill, death hex." Eda said as she threw a brown envelope into the trash can, which turned to ash seconds later.

"Oh, I need to learn how to do that." Luz said, "Cooking my meals would be far better than eating them raw, though I'm not too picky."

"Kid, can you not be all cannibalistic when I'm cooking?" Eda asked.

"Yeah, it's kind of disturbing." Amelia said, pushing her cereal away.

"Oh, there's a carnival in town!" Eda said.

"A carnival?" Luz asked.

"A carnival?" Everyone on the crystal ball said with smiles.

Eda rolled her eyes.

"We'll go... but you kids can get your own rides." Eda said, "I ain't picking you up."

"I'll see you guys there!" Luz said, in a happy tone that she only gets when she's maiming someone.

"Bye, Luz!" Everyone said, waving to Luz before their crystal ball group chat ended.

"It's strange how friendly you are to others." Eda said, "Aren't you supposed to be some kind of deranged killer... to be honest I don't understand your family sometimes."

Luz threw a bible at Eda and it hit her in the face.

"There, signed by my grandpa and uncle." Luz said.

Eda groaned as she rubbed her head, picking up the Bible that was thrown at her.

"What is this?" Eda asked.

"My family history." Luz said.

'Completely coloring Grandpa and uncle J as the good guys but whatever.' Devil side said with an eye roll.

"Yeah... I'm not a big fan on reading." Eda said, putting the book on the counter, "Now go get King and we'll head out."

"Did somebody call my name?" King asked, walking into the kitchen while dressed in the royal suit Luz made for him.

"I did but are you ever going to take that off? You've had it on since Luz arrived." Eda said.

"Nope! This suit feels amazing! It doesn't need to be cleaned, doesn't smell, and I feel like I'm wearing nothing at all!" King said with his hands in his hip.

"It's a magic suit. Nothing short of a rocket launcher is gonna ruin it." Luz said, crossing her arms, "Come on, King, we're going to the carnival."

"A carnival? YES!" King shouted in glee, excited.

"But you might want to change. Magic protection or not, a carnival is no place for a fancy suit." Eda comments.

"Oh man." King complained.

"Don't worry buddy, you're still a mighty king, with or without it." Luz said.

Opening her book, Luz turned the pages before casting a new clothing spell. Changing the suit into something more casual. But still fancy.

"What do you think?" Luz asked.

King looked over his clothes and saw it was now a blue dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, pressed black slacks, and steel toed boots/dress shoes.

"I suppose it shall do." King said.

"Kid, do you think you've got anything in my size?" Eda asked.

"Maybe." Luz said, "Let me check."

Luz turned her book pages to find a spell for "extra large" clothing, if what she assumed about Eda's size is correct. She'd also need to take into account of it being stretchy so it won't be ripped if Eda transformed.

'Gotta find something for her curse too.' Luz thought.

She flipped a bit and found something that would work.

"Found it. Now hold still, it might be a little snug." Luz said.

Luz began chanting.

"Alright, come to mama." Eda said, seeing magic mist come from the book and wash over her. "Oh, tingly."

"Don't make this weird." King said.

Safe to say that the outfit that Eda got... would make most men hard and most women weak in the knees. It was HOT.

"Whoa! Look at mama!" Eda shouted, looking over herself front and back. "What is this sexy number?"

"Fancy yet sexy dress. A twist from the front, Lantern Sleeve, Ruched Bodycon Dress in red and black heels." Luz said, closing her book.

"Damn, maybe I misjudged that book of yours." Eda said, "Mmm, I yeah, I think I'll enjoy this."

"It's yours to keep but don't let it go to your head." Luz said to her.

"Oh trust me, there's going to be some head, but it won't be mine." Eda said, "Now let's get going."

"...Do you know what sexual phrasing is? Because you just said something REALLY dirty." Luz said with a small giggle.

"You coming or not?" Eda asked.

"Seriously, do you hear yourself?" Luz asked.

"Can we just go and not think about it? I am having very conflicting thoughts while seeing Eda in that dress." King aid, looking away from the woman who raised him.

They got on the staff and flew to the carnival. Once they landed, everyone saw nearly the whole town was already there. Riding rides, playing games, and eating fair food; the kids especially since this was a surprise day off.

"Alright, I'm going to go find my friends, think you guys can stay can stay out of trouble?" Luz asked.

"In this dress, no promises." Eda comments, looking at her new dress again.

"Please stop, my mind can't take anymore." King said, climbing onto Luz's shoulder.

"Take me with you." King pleaded to Luz, not wanting to be near Eda.

"I am. I don't want to see Eda acting like a hooker either." Luz said as she walked away with King.

"I HEARD THAT!" Eda shouted.

"You were meant to!" Luz said, walking around the corner.

'Now to find my posse....Oh my grandpa, I actually have a posse!' Luz thought with a wide, joyful smile, 'Though... kind of want to call them my cult. Would that be weird?'

A cult following is something Lucifer always dreamed his daughter would have, and he would be ecstatic to find out she almost has one at such a young age.

'Eh, I've already taken two of their souls, they are basically a cult.' Luz thought, before coming upon some of her cult

"Are you use you aren't coming, Boscha?" Skara asked into the crystal ball.

"Yeah, I'm not feeling well." Boscha said.

"Okay." Skara said, "I'll tell Amelia you said hi."

Skara put the ball away and looked at Willow and Gus.

"Okay, I'm worried about her." Skara said.

"Why? She seemed find for the most part." Gus said.

"I know Boscha and I know when something wrong with her is happening." Skara said to him.

"Sup!" Luz said, walking up to them, "Where's Amelia?"

"Bathroom." Skara said.

"She should be out in a couple of minutes." Cat said, eating some fish sticks she bought.

Luz couldn't help but chuckle. The cat demon was eating fish... the jokes just write themselves.

"Don't say anything." Cat said, pointing at Luz with a fish stick.

"...Are you gonna share?" Luz replied while grinning.

Cat handed Luz a fish stick.

"Good kitty." Luz said, taking the fish stick.

She threw it in the air and shot her tongue... which had a mouth of it's own (Like the Xenomorph)... at it. It grabbed the fish stick and she chewed it... the group was horrified.

"What?" Luz asked, as Amelia walked up, "Oh, this reminds me. Mel, here you go."

Luz pulled out a large gold ring with a dark green gem.

"Woah, thanks!" Amelia said, "Where did you get this?"

"It's your soul." Luz said, "I made it into a ring. Since the deal was completed, I can't give you your soul back, so I figured I'd make it into a ring and let you keep it with you, and don't worry, if it gets broken or lost, it will come back to me, so don't worry about anything bad happening to it."

Amelia smiled.

"You can stop feeling bad... I don't regret selling my soul to you, it saved my life." Amelia said, "The fact that you feel guilty just proves that you're not the violent and terrifying demon everyone sees you as."

'She's right you know.' Angel side said.

'You still own the soul but you're nice enough to let her keep it in physical form.' Demon side said.

"Thanks, Mel." Luz said as she turns to everyone else. "The same will be done for you guys if you want free jewelry."

"I think I'm going to keep my soul." Cat said.

"Are there benefits?" Gus asked before Willow covered his mouth.

"Ignore him." Willow said.

"Alright, let's go do stuff." Luz said.

Luz allowed her friends to lead her around, since they possibly had more experience with fairs in this world than her. She didn't miss Amelia looking a bit sad, and seeing as there was no triclops, she can guess why Amelia was sad.

"Don't worry, Amelia. I'm sure Boscha will come around later today." Luz said, patting her back.

"It's not just that." Amelia said, "She's... something is just wrong, I can feel it in my..."

She tries to think of the right word, because she doesn't have a soul anymore.

"Uh... ring." Amelia finished.

"Clever but you can just say soul." Luz said.

"Still. She's going through something more than just "not feeling well" and it's worrying me." Amelia said with a blush.

"You should relax." Luz said, "If I feel something about her soul, I'll-"

Luz just felt the yellow gemmed ring buzz a bit. She took King off her shoulder and handed him to Cat.

"Amelia, follow me."

Luz briskly walked away as Amelia rushed to catch up.

"Where are we going?" Amelia asked.

"Boscha's house." Luz said, "Hopefully the others don't get into any trouble without us."

"Not that I'm worried but what's the worst that could happen? I mean, Cat LITERALLY has nine lives." Amelia said.

"Yeah, but the others don't." Luz said, "Let's just go see what's wrong with Boscha."

Amelia nodded as she walked ahead of Luz, leading the way to Boscha's house/mansion. Which didn't impress Luz, she lived half her life in a castle that we easily several acres, it would make this mansion look like a shed. Luz jumped over the gates, not bothering to open or ask for permission to enter as she walked to the front door.

"Okay, we get it, you're flexible and agile." Amelia said.

Amelia used her magic to grow a large vine to carry her over the gate before setting her on the other side.

"I'm not showing off, I'm in a rush to check in my friend." Luz said.

The two walked inside and up to Boscha's room. They knocked and received no answer... which is when Luz kicked the door open.

"You do realize that the door doesn't even have a lock right?" Amelia asked.

"Stop talking."

Amelia could only make muffled noises as her lips physically could NOT open. They went inside and saw Boscha... hanging from a noose attached to the ceiling. Amelia let out a muffled scream, while Luz wasted no time in cutting the rope and making Boscha fall to the ground... where the corpse then got angry.

"Do you mind!?" Boscha yelled, making Amelia scream more.

"How long were you hanging?" Luz asked, not even phased.

"About... 20 minutes." Boscha said.

"And why?"

"Because I want to die."

"Why?"

"Because I can't." Boscha said, through clenched teeth, "When I got drained, the Basilisk threw me over the railing, and I got impaled... and it healed... in three minutes."

Luz silently opened her book and pulled out an axe. She raised it and slammed it into Boscha's head. Bleeding and an axe sticking in it... still standing, not even phased.

"Huh... I wonder."

Luz pulled it out and slammed it onto Amelia's head, shocking Boscha... until she saw that Amelia wasn't dead.

"OWWWW!" Amelia shouted, feeling paint she had never felt before it began to fade already! "What the fuck?!"

"Well, this is going to need some research." Luz said, looking through her book.

"Uh, are you going to remove the axe from my head?"

"Don't worry. You'll live." Luz said to her, still looking in her book

"Come on, really?!" Amelia asked with a groan.

"I'll get it." Boscha said, gently grabbing the axe.

There was two reasons Boscha wanted to get the axe out of Amelia's head. 1, she loved her. 2... the blood rushing down her head like Niagara Falls was staining her carpet, and she doesn't know how she'd explain that to her moms when they got back from their business trip.

"Okay. On three. One." Boscha said slowly.

"Two." Amelia said as she steeled herself.

"Three!" Boscha said before quickly pulling the axe out.

Blood spewed as the wound closed.

"This is still creepy... can we... not die?"

"Seems so but I want to know why!" Boscha said, dropping the axe and looking at Luz. "Any clue what's going on with us?"

"Sill looking but I think I'm close. Hmm... Ah!" Luz said, "It would seem... that since I own your souls... you... can't die. Souls are what keeps people alive, but since you don't have them in your bodies... you're... technically... dead. The only way you can die is through age, even then it would be extended. You two will probably live up to 200."

"WHAT?!" Bosch and Amelia shouted in shock.

"You mean because we made deals with you, we're nearly immortal?!" Amelia shouted, pointing towards her soul ring.

"... Kinda." Luz said.

"I have SO MANY mixed feelings about this now!" Boscha said, grabbing her hair. "I lost my soul in a bet but it turned out to be a good things?! What the hell?!"

"Oh, that reminds me." Luz handed Boscha a gold ring with a yellow gem.

"... If you are asking me to marry you, the answer is no." Boscha said.

"Well, one, I'm not. Two, I own your soul, so if I wanted to marry you, you'd really have no say." Luz said, "This is the physical manifestation of your soul."

"My soul? It's this ring?" Boscha asked, taking it from Luz.

"Yep. And even through I still possess it, you can still have it close and if it breaks, it will still comeback to me so I can make another ring or anything else you want." Luz said with a shrug. "Where do you think Amelia got that green ring?"

"Uh... I was more focused on you slamming an axe on my skull, so I kind of missed it." Boscha said.

"Oh right, sorry about that but I had to be sure." Luz said as she picked up the axe and putting it back in her book.

"... I still don't understand how that book works." Amelia said.

"And you never will. This is for my understanding, only." Luz said, closing the book. "Now, since Boscha is apparently HEALTHY, how about we head back to the carnival with our other friends?"

"I'm fine with that." Amelia said, before turning to Boscha, "We will be talking about how you've been trying to kill yourself for the past few days."

'Oh shit. I was hoping she wouldn't bring that up.' Boscha thought.

the trio went back to the carnival. Boscha almost slapped herself at missing something so fun. Amelia made sure Boscha didn't leave her sight... even if she couldn't be killed, she didn't want to give Boscha the chance to try it.

"So, what have you guys been doing without me?" Boscha asked.

"We don't know. Me and Amelia rushed to stop you when your ring shimmered." Luz said, looking around for their group.

'Hopefully nothing bad happens, because I just want a calm day.' Luz thought.

"Hey, uh, can we not tell them about the whole... not dying thing yet?" Amelia asked, "I don't want to freak the others out yet, we can tell them tomorrow."

"Or think a certain someone can become invincible by sealing his soul." Boscha said, referring to Gus.

"Gus wouldn't do that...I think." Luz said.

"He would." Amelia and Boscha said.

"Maybe Willow too." Boscha said with a shrug.

"No way, Willow is the most responsible all of us. There's no way she would sell her soul for near-immortality." Amelia argued.

"The girl wants to wrestle a slitherbeast, I don't think she cares about life!" Boscha said.

"I'm sure she does...but I would've loved to see Willow wrestling a basilisk. That would be so cool." Luz said with a smile.

'And you just said you didn't want them to know about the near-immortality.' Angel side said.

'Shut up.' Luz thought.

They spent a couple of minutes looking around for their friend group, but found that they completely disappeared.

"Pardon my French but where the fuck did they go? We were gone for only 10 minutes." Amelia said.

Luz looked at her.

"How the fuck the fuck do you know what French is?"

"I joined the Human Appreciation Society and Gus had a book about human languages. He just labeled it "Human Gibberish" with a question mark." Amelia said.

"You are full of surprises." Luz said.

"Merci." Amelia said.

'... That's hot.' Boscha thought.

If only Boscha knew that French was the number 1 language of love on Earth and Amelia had studied everything the book she got from Gus had on it. But right now, the trio had to refocus on find out where their friends ran off to. They scoured the entire carnival and finding no sign of them. Luz was almost tempted to summon her hell hound to track them but didn't since it wasn't a full in emergency yet.

"Hold on." Boscha said, sniffing the air, "Someone used a forbidden potion around here."

"How did you do that?" Luz asked.

"I've been a potion expert my entire life, I can smell a drop of a love potion from 3 miles away." Boscha said, before getting on her hands and knees and sniffing the dirt, "It was a shrinking potion... smells like it went this way."

Boscha started to walk off, and Luz turned to Amelia.

"Did you know she could do this?" Luz asked Amelia.

Amelia just shook her head, blushing so red her name might as well be Fire Hydrant, and her legs were shaking.

"This is COMPLETELY new to me." Amelia said, watching Boscha do her "thing."

'And it is so hot.' Amelia thought.

The two walked after her. Boscha kept sniffing the dirt and ignoring everyone that moved out of her way, she had no shame and was popular enough to get away with this weird thing, until she reached a house of mirrors.

"This place, the scent is stronger here." Boscha said as she got up.

They walked in, Luz seeing some of the strange reflections there were. One monstrous version of her hissed at her, but Luz roared at it and it ran away.

"... Only you, could scare your own reflection." Amelia said.

"Hey, I found something!" Boscha said, looking at a puddle of potion.

Amelia and Luz walked over to see Boscha sniffing the puddle, pulling out a pencil and dipping it in to see what would happen.

'Hopefully it affects inorganic objects and not people.' Boscha thought.

The pencil shrunk.

"I knew it. This is an illegal shrinking potion, it's shrinks whoever or whatever it touches." Boscha said before tossing the pencil aside.

"Is there a time limit on how long it lasts?" Luz asked.

"No. What makes this potion illegal is that the brewer adds a bit of their essence into it so only they can undo on command." Boscha said as she stood up, "I have a feeling this is why we haven't found them yet."

Amelia checked her shoes, just to make sure she didn't accidentally step on them.

"Then someone kidnapped our friends." Luz said as she glared at the puddle. "Can you track the rest of the potion?"

"I could." Boscha said, taking a big sniff of it, "It's potent."

"Then let's go be our Friends!" Amelia shouted.

Amelia turned to walk out of the place and ended up slipping on a spray bottle and landing in the potion, shrinking to near microscopic size. Boscha picked her up and her and Luz looked at her.

"Aw, look how cute you are, I could just eat you up!" Luz said, her sharp teeth revealed with her smile.

"Uh... maybe... don't." Amelia said, pretty sure Luz WOULD eat her, "Even if I can't die, I don't want to go through that!"

"Aw, her voice is so high pitched!" Boscha said.

"No it's not!" Amelia shouted!

"Yes it is." Boscha said.

"Va te faire foutre!" Amelia yelled, but it was so adorable.

"Aw, even cussing us out is cute." Luz said.

"Oh! If only I knew what that meant!" Boscha said as she walked out, still holding Amelia. "Now let's go find out friends."

'And maybe get that shrinking potion recipe myself to have more tiny Amelia.' She thought.

"This is humiliating." Amelia said, crossing her arms.

Boscha opened a pocket on her outfit and dropped Amelia in. Amelia's head and arms stuck out the top.

"I stand corrected." Amelia said, "This is Humiliating."

"It's either that or you walk with us, get lost, stepped on, or eaten by some kind of monster." Luz said.

"...Let's just find the others and NEVER speak of this again." Amelia said, crossing her arms.

The two normal sized girls just chuckled.

"No promises. So go on, Boscha. Lead the way." Luz said, patting the triclops's back.

"Gladly. Follow me." Boscha said, walking ahead.

Boscha sniffed until she came upon where the scent was strongest.

"The big top tent, that's where the potion is leading me." Boscha said, pointing to a large tent down the street.

Luz read the name on the tent.

"Tibbles, hmm, wonder who that is."

"What kind of a name is "Tibbles?"" Amelia asked.

"Don't know, guess we'll find out."

The trio entered the tent, seeing a crowd of people sitting in the stands as a spot light shines down on a terrarium in front of a projection screen. That's where they saw their friends trying to survive several different creatures.

"They're in trouble." Amelia said, "Throw me!"

"Throw you?" Boscha asked.

"I said throw me now, salope aux cheveux roses, à trois yeux!(you pink haired, three eyed bitch!)" Amelia shouted at Boscha.

Luz chuckled at that. Boscha grabbed Amelia and threw her at the tank... what's the worst that will happen, she dies?

"Wanna take a seat and watch the show?" Luz asked.

"Just until this guy shows himself so we can beat the crap out of him." Boscha said.

Amelia landed in the terrarium. She crashed into the shredded paper, only a slightly soft landing with a few broken bones.

'Ouch, that hurt more than I thought.' Amelia thought before feeling her bones fixing and healing themselves. 'Okay, now I'm grateful to be near immortal.'

"Alright, time to help them out!" Amelia said.

Amelia got up and looked around, seeing her friends being cornered by various magical animals! All of them shrunken as well.

"Stay back! Stay back!" Gus shouted, using a giant vacuum illusion to push the animals back.

Amelia used her plant magic to get the beasts attention. By pulling out a seed and creating a literal vine whip.

'Come to mama!' Amelia thought before using the whip.

CRACK!

The air cracked with a snap as the beasts turned to her as well as her friends!

'Okay, pseudo-immortality, don't fail me now.' Amelia thought.

"ROOOOOOAH!" A manticour roared, charging at Amelia!

"AMELIA!" Gus, Willow, Cat, and Skara shouted to her.

Amelia, while not being as powerful as Willow, was more prepared for fighting where there's no plants. She reached into her pockets and threw several seeds on the ground, before using her plant magic and making vines grow and wrap the beasts up. She knew it wouldn't hold them for long, so she had to hurry and the others out.

"Come in, let's go!" Amelia shouted, running towards them.

"Why are you small!?" Willow asked.

"Because I tripped and fell into the potion puddle." Amelia said, "That's besides the point!"

Amelia got more seeds from her pocket and threw them at their feet!

"Give me a hand?" Amelia asked.

"Sure!" Willow said quickly.

The two made a plant that lifted them up. Just in time as the magical beasts managed to free themselves and roared, rushing towards the escaping witches. The others looked nervous, apart from Amelia and Cat.

"I have an idea." Amelia said, before jumping off the plant towards them.

"AMELIA!" Everyone but Cat shouted in shock.

"Well, she's dead." Cat comments.

'Titan, Cats really don't care.' Skara thought.

Amelia starts distracting the beasts, getting bitten on the stomach by a manticore, which began shaking her. Amelia started breathing heavily, feeling its teeth go through her organs. Her eyes turned red and teeth sharpened, which caught Luz's attention. Amelia clawed out the manticore's eye out and growled at it as it let her go.

"Well, this is shocking." Luz said with wide eyes.

"What? What are-OH!" Boscha said before noticing Amelia's transformation.

Amelia lunged at the manticore, biting down on it like a feral beast.

"Well, it would seem Amelia somehow has some demon inside of her." Luz comments but enjoyed the sudden change.

"B-But how?!" Boscha asked.

"Probably the whole soul selling thing. I don't know I never really read the contract." Luz said, "Anyway, it seems she has this under control, let's find the fucker that did this."

'Oh yeah, I also want to take the recipe from him or the original bottle.' Boscha thought as she sniffed the air, looking around before seeing them.

"It's him." She said, pointing towards a pig demon lying on top of a pile of snails. "He literally reeks of the potion."

"Think you can go into rage mode like Amelia? It would be a shame if I have to eat him without sharing." Luz said.

"Eat him? You want to eat him RAW?" Boscha asked, looking at Luz.

"What? You're for this idea?" Luz asked, surprised.

"Duh! I'm in the cannibal club at school." Boscha said.

"Embrace your inner cannibal."

Boscha's stomach growled, making her lick her lips at the sight of the pig demon.

'Oh titan, I have never been so hungry than I have been now.' She thought, her eyes gaining a red glow as she walked towards the pig.

'Yeah, that's my cult member.' Luz thought as the two walked towards the pig.

"Mmmm, this is the life." He muttered to himself, having two snails over his eyes, before feeling a shadow over him. "If you are an angry customer, there are no refunds after the show has begun."

"Oh, we're angry... but not for that reason." Luz said.

"Hmm?" The pig hummed, confused as he removed a snail to look up to them.

The two red eyes, sharp toothed, demons looked down at him, smiling widely. He obviously knew who Luz was, who didn't?

"AHH!" He screamed, jolting and sliding down the pile of snails by accident!

"Oh sorry, did we scare you, Mr... I'm sorry, what is your name?" Boscha asked, stepping around the pile towards the pig.

"T-T-TTibblet-Tibblie Grimm Hammer III!" He said with a stutter.

"Well, Tibby, can we call you Tibby?" Luz asked as they got closer to him. "Anyway, the reason we seem so MAD is because of who you put inside of your little show."

"And you're going to fix that... or else." Luz said, putting a claw against the fat roll he calls a neck.

"B-B-B-But-!" Tibbles stuttered.

"But WHAT?" Boscha asked, licking her lips and baring her fangs. "Spit it out!"

"I-If I undo the potion, the beasts will return to normal size too!" Tibbles said.

"You have bigger things to worry about than some animals." Luz said, "Keep in mind... I have a reputation... of being a cannibalistic, blood thirsty, demon."

"And I have been a proud member of Hexside's cannibal club for three years now." Boscha said before chomping in front of Tibble to make him jump. "So you can either release our friends or become our lunch. Your choice."

He tapped his cheek. Twice and that was all it took for both their friends and the beasts to be cast in a purple glow before they poofed back to full size outside of the terrarium.

"Mmm?" Amelia let out, stopping mid bite of the beast she was wrestling.

"Perfect." Luz said before grabbing him and pulling him close, "But mess with any of my friends again, and I will kill you."

Luz dropped him and he scurried away.

"Luz! I was hungry!" Boscha said, whining.

"Then go share a meal with Amelia. There's plenty to share." Luz said, pointing to the magical beast that Amelia was still killing/eating.

With the beasts free, the crowd began to panic and run away... and Luz decided to pocket all the money... yeah, she's greedy, her dad invented greed, and pride, and wrath, and all the other sins as well.

'Eda is going to love me for this. Like a cult leader, except I am going to pay her this tribute.' Luz thought, bringing out her book and opening a pocket dimension for the money.

In it went, and over to her friends she went.

"Are you guys okay?" Luz asked them.

"Aside from being suddenly shrunk by a greedy pig demon, yeah." Willow said, fixing her glasses.

"Not to mention Amelia suddenly going demonic and eating a beast right now." Skara said, pointing towards Amelia as Boscha walked over to her.

"Shut up." Amelia said, "I'm hungry."

"How's it taste?" Boscha asked.

"Good. Why?" Amelia asked, ripping some beast flesh off and chewing.

"Room for one more?" Boscha asked.

"... For you? Always."

Amelia turned back to eat, hiding her blush as Boscha basically asked her to join in eating the same meal...

Like they were on a date.

... Now if only they would grow a pair and confess, but that won't happen.

"So, can someone explain to me how this happened exactly?" Luz asked before looking to her smallest friend. "King?"

"I don't know." King said.

"We just walked into the hall of mirrors and then we got sprayed." Skara said.

Luz had a thought.

"King, what happened when you and Eda went out during the conjuring?"

"Just heading to a stand where Eda could get more elixir. It was Tibbles." King said.

"Was? What happened to it?" Luz asked.

"Eda... might've blown it up to escape a trap." King said.

"Okay, you know what, I'll deal with that later." Luz said, "Come on, let's go actually enjoy the carnival."

The group was down to have that. It would be a fun way to end that day, though there was one question.

"Amelia... why are you still alive?" Willow asked, noticing the wound was completely healed.

"Uh... that's a long story." Amelia said.
