He slaps me.

Hard.

The captian's face is twisted in anger as he sees what I almost did, what I tried to do. The prince is a worthy captive and I betrayed him. The captain has always helped me, but there is no excuse for this.

"Do not Lay a hand on her!' Gabe yells, as he starts towards me.

Before he can reach me the captain jerks him backwards and sends him flying into the cell. My cheek throbs and I can already feel a welt begin to grow on it as I watch the captain stand by the cell. His eyes are locked on me. I walk over and he looks coldly at my cheek before pushing me inside the cell with the price.

"Annette..." He walks away leaving my name hanging in the air like a goodbye unsaid.

My fist slams into the wooden beam inside the cell and I painfully hold back tears. The captain is a pirate, I shouldn't expect anything more. Now I'm a captive too and he could sell me for a fair price.

"You" I whisper

"YOU" the prince starts as I scream at him.

I point and accusing finger at the prince and am suddenly angry. My fists clench and I grit my teeth. The prince's white face seems more scared of me than the Captain.
