"Shit!" Dylan cussed under breath.

"Whoever it was from this pack  they're gone. We need to get these teens home or to the pack house." I added. Tyler nodded. He reached into a small box hanging from the wall, messing with a few switches before the lights flicked on. As we did, screams of terror wove throughout the teens in line.

"Over there!"

"What's that?!"

We heard, everybody turning to face the left wall. Confused, I did the same. I nearly stumbled back.

There was red writing on the the wall, the red paint . . . or even blood . . . dripping down.

"I want her back. I'm going to get them both. You'll regret the wedding. And when I have her, you'll finally understand."

"Ok, everyone go home now! Don't leave your houses and make sure you're not home alone!" Tyler's voice rung out, and it didn't take long before the kids all scrambled outside the gym.

-

Now back at Tyler's house with Connor, Blake, Asher, Dylan, Anna and a couple others at our sides.

"Something is different this time -  I can feel it," I muttered, rubbing my forehead.

"Please, they're just trying to scare us. It's been like 3 weeks since Blood Moon," Blake replied, crossing his arms.

"What are you saying?" Anna asked him, her innocent blue eyes wide as saucers.

"That maybe we shouldn't be worried and they're just trying to make us paranoid," He retorted, making Anna shrink back.

"If you really believe that then you're already playing in their hands," Tyler retorted sharply, silencing Blake.

"What I don't understand, is the "her". I mean, sure they wanted me before but now that they were able to use some of my blood, what more do they want with me? I'm practically useless to them now." I said, mainly to myself.

Connor cleared his throat.

"Guys, I think I should tell you all something . . ."

Our heads snapped up to see Connor with his hands in his pockets, staring at the carpet.

"Connor?" Tyler asked deeply.

"It's just, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but recently I believe it's beginning to be more of a problem." He muttered.

"Don't," Dylan snapped. What were these two hiding from us?

"What are you guys not telling me?" Tyler spat in anger, his eyes swirling into blackness.

"Jarod and Madilyn, remember how I told you more about them, and how she was pregnant?" Connor asked me nervously. I nodded slightly.

"Their child still lives on . . . and she's different."

"And you didn't mention this sooner?" Blake said haughtily.

"Who's the kid?" I asked.

He stayed silent.

"Jarod would do anything for his mate. He wanted to protect her, you know that. Madilyn wasn't exactly pregnant persay. Jarod was obsessed over mixing chemicles and discovering new . . . potions I guess you could call them. He made something to inject his mate with. He was learning how to use black magic. He told me about someone he met months ago, her name was Kate,"

My heart froze. Surely he wasn't talking about Brent's Kate? There was no way.

"She knew things. She was actually pregnant at the time, and even shared a few castings with Jarod - in hopes of providing Madilyn with a child. But all magic has a price. Kate learned it the hard way. If Jarod wanted a child - then he had to take hers. As soon as he performed the ritual on Madilyn, she was pregnant, and Kate had lost her child. Before Madilyn died, Jarod couldn't bare to look at the child who wasn't exactly his own, but that had also killed his mate. He gave her away . . ." He continued.

"So what you are saying, is that since Madilyn couldn't get pregnant, Jarod went to a . . . witch of sorts . . . to get a spell, but he didn't realize it would take away from the original spell holder?" I asked, trying not to sound like this was a Harry Potter book.

"Yes . . . so when he gave away the child, he asked for my help. So I helped him. He was my brother - and I loved his mate like she was my sister. I took the baby, and left it on a doorstep in Arizona, just like he told me. Yet, Kate was new to the world of dark magic. So her spell for Jarod had a couple perks. And one was that the baby would be born an immortal."

I was trying so hard to peice this together. This was such an important thing to share. Why would they hide this? And what involvement did Dylan have?

"That's not it though," he added. Well shit what more could there be?!

"The child grew up to be hybrid, and her aging was incredibly fast. She's still alive . . ." He murmered.

"How do you know this?" Anna whispered.

"One of our prisoners stopped from Arizona before coming into our pack. She said she was looking for a place to stay over night so she could hide. She found the little girl who let her stay in her home," Dylan finally spoke.

"Are you talking about Seraphine? The Vampire girl?" Tyler asked. Who's Seraphina?

"Yes. Apparantly Seraphina would check in on the child from time to time."

"Who is this child?" Asher asked quietly.

"I don't know . . . she lives with a Vampire and Werewolf now, that's all I know," He stuttered.

"Didn't Kate ever want revenge?" I asked. If someone had done that to me, they'd have hell to pay.

"She performed an illegal spell in the world of witchcraft. It takes a toll on the castor. Plus, Jarod promised her silver lace liquid, she wanted to burn off her memories. But she never got that. Jarod refused to give her anything after that, leaving her to suffer with the loss of her baby."

"Did she have a mate?" I cut in swiftly.

"I believe so, but she rejected him or some sob story like that . . ." He trailed off.

"I think I know Kate . . ." I whimpered. Tyler wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"Who is she baby?" He asked gently.

"She was my brother's mate, and my best friend. And . . . she wanted to burn her memories probably because of when I told her Brent died . . . or when I ran from her after she offered me shelter. She was like a sister to me, and I felt so responsible after my parents . ." I couldn't believe this was happening. Kate had connections to my pack, and she was even going to have a child with my brother! That's why he wanted to see her so badly at that party more than usual - to make sure she'd be ok.

"Why are you now bringing this up?" Tyler asked, clearly not happy.

"If Kate is Brent's mate, what if its her he wants to grab? And what if he blames us or Raven for him not being able to see her?" Blake chimed.

"But he told me that he didn't want to see her because he was living too much of a dangerous life for her."

"Raven, don't believe him. He's a liar. He tried to get you and my brother married. I haven't even seen my brother in years." Tyler said, rubbing his chin nervously.

I laid my head on his shoulder.

"Then why now?"

"Maybe because they can phase into their forms whenever now?" Connor offered.

"I'll deal with you later," Tyler growled at Connor, who flinched back. I didn't blame Tyler for being upset. This was super important, and I was even a bit resentful that Connor hadn't told me the real truth when I asked him about Madilyn.

"Or he wants his kid," Anna whispered.

"What?" Blake asked annoyed.

"The child is apparantly immortal - meaning a Vampire most likely. So if Brent wants power, who not better to have at his side then a mate with dark magic powers, and a kid with immortal abilities?" Dylan added.

"Holy shit," I muttered.

"What is it?"

"I had a dream, about finding someone before they found me. I think it was about Kate or the kid. . ." I muttered.

"We'll figure it out," Tyler promised.

"Wait."

"Hm?" Tyler asked.

"Connor, where was the kid put after you put it on a doorstep?"

"Arizona?" He replied.

"And the foster parents?" I asked.

"Vampire and Werewolf - mates."

This whole time, I was the beacon for my brother really wanted.  Or maybe I'm just a big part of it too. He wants to bring back his family together. And it's all starting with his daughter.

Rosaline.

Yeah

I just went there - NO RAGRETS :D
