Chapter 31. The Wedding Part 2
"Take them away. The bride needs her gown!" Brent said with a clap. I watched helplessly as Tanner and Michael dragged away Tyler's limp body. I began to crawl towards him, yet a foot slammed my hand down. I growled in pain to see Preston.
"Get up," But before I got the chance, he grabbed me by my hair, holding him away.
"You motherfucker." I panted raggedly. Preston growled.
"Oh, Raven, you know I don't like that language one bit." Brent said with a sigh.
"Fuck you!" I shouted.
"What was that?" Brent asked, narrowing his blue eyes. I spit in his face, resulting in him recoiling in disgust.
"I said, fuck you!" I yelled. He growled before marching up to me.
"Your mate is going to die if you don't stop using that language, and if you don't marry Damon." He said, wiping his eyes with a smirk. I growled as Preston yanked my hair tighter.
"Get her ready. Today is a big day!" Brent said with a happy yet sadistic grin. Before I knew it, Preston was dragging me away, Damon following suit in silence. I glared at him. To think he was a decent person.
Dylan's POV***
"Alpha Tyler still isn't back," I whispered to my mate, Asher. He sighed, grabbing my hand in tenderness.
"He'll be fine. He's strong." He replied on the couch. I nodded, settling down. Something felt off. Tyler should have brought back Raven by now. It shouldn't be taking this long. Was it possible that Raven was right with her suspiciouns?
"I"ll be back." I told him, planting a kiss on his plush lips and leaving. I didn't cast a glance back at him. Instead, I left the house, grabbed my car keys, and took off. Throughought driving, I didn't stop to think about anything else.
It's been 3 days. Connor, Blake and Cayde haven't stepped in. Connor can't - he's in charge while the Alpha and Luna are gone. I can't help but feel on edge. I felt like we were waiting around for no reason. Waiting for something to happen. Something bad.
I took a left, making my way to our secret prison in which was located in a coffee shop in which Anna and her mate owned. Underneath was the prison. It was the only way we could keep an eye on the prisoners.
I parked at "Sally's Cafe", and made my way inside, only to see Mike brewing up some coffee.
"Hey Dylan, can I get you anything?" He asked as I cut the lady in front of me.
"Um, excuse me," She said, her wrinkles forming in an unhappy face.
"I'll only be a second," I told her, "I need to go in the back." I warned Mike. He glanced at me in confusion before handing me the back key. I took it and made my way around the counter, and unlocking the back door.
After closing it, I opened the latch on the ground, falling down the small steps. I groaned, standing up. All around, rogue scent eveloped me in the dim light. We kept our prison in this cafe underground.
I received jaunts, death threats and flirtatious comments from the rogues around me as I walked down the dirt pathway. I made a quick left, ignoring the banging on cell bars.
I stopped in front of a small teenage girl, who seemed about my age. Her blonde hair was in two braids, and her face was filled with hate and caked with dirt. She turned her head, shocking me. Her eyes were a deep crimson red, and she had an angry look on her face.
"A . . vampire?" I muttered.
She hissed, getting up. She was wearing white skinny jeans, a blue flannet and brown combat boots. Her skin was oddly pale and she smelt like death.
"What do you know about Blood Moon pack?" I asked her in a strict tone. She growled.
"What's it to you?" She growled in a low voice. I furrowed my brows in a scowl.
"Well if you tell me, I might consider keeping you alive." I retorted. This she vamp better let me in on the gossip. I've heard tell she was the one with answers about the fictional pack. At least that was what Cayde and Asher had told me.
"Yeah, well, I'm not telling you shit." She said, turning her back, and sitting against the wall. I growled at her attitude.
"If you don't tell me-"
"Oh please, what could you do? I hear your Alpha isn't here, and I do believe you need to ask his permission before even coming down here, so again, tell me, what could you possibly do to me?" She asked, turning to speak over her shoulder. I grit my teeth
"You're freedom. That's what I have right now. I have the ability to either keep you from it, or . . well, you get it." I told her. In a millisecond, the girl appeared right in front of me, clutching the bars. Hastily, I stumbled backwards in caution
"What do you want to know?" She asked in confusion. I grinned. Clearly she'd been down here for a long time, and was desperate to get out.
"Are they real?"
"Yes."
Well, that wasn't so hard.
"Where are they located?"
The vampire said nothing at my question.
"Ok, what is your name?" I asked. She glared at me yet replied, "Seraphina Tru." She said through grit fangs.
"Ok, well my name is Dylan. And I swear it by the Moon Goddess, that if you cooperate, I will allow your freedom." I told her. Seraphine studied me.
"Deal." She told me.
"But-I'll know if you are lying." I cut in.
"Whatever, do we have a deal?" She asked. I nodded.
"Fine. Blood Moon is real. Legend has it that they live underground - ruled in a manner of monarchy. Kings, queens, servants. They await their rightful heir to rule the hidden kingdom. It must be a female - that is how Blood Moon has always been run, and they're quite high on tradition. If run by a a male, the Gods they believe in will punish them. Or so the tale goes. Anyway, the queen must rule or else it'll fall to ruins, forever stuck."
"Stuck?" I asked.
"Stuck. Blood Moon pack has perks. They're not a pack of normal wolves. My kind refer to those sorts of werewolves, Moonrunners. Only when the moon is full can they transform into their wolves. However it is not a choice. They force shift, and you don't want to be there when they do. They're huge in shape, at least 9 feet tall - easily outweighing a normal werewolf. They don't look like normal wolves either. They stand on their hand legs, and their front paws are like normal arm lengths." She revealed. I gasped at the thought of a pack made up of killer Moonrunners. Nodding, I awaited her to continue.
"Their queen needs to be a full royal werewolf in order for their to be a proper hierarchy. Females rarely survive being a Moonrunner, so they look up to a female with power." She added.
"Ok, so what do you mean by stuck? Why would they need a female to lead them?" I asked.
"Sadly, these Moonrunners wish to run free whenever they please. After their Queen completes a mating ritual with the former King's choice, wedding and all - they make a sacrifice. The real queen hasn't been known for at least 100 eons, so I assume when they find a queen, they'll do what they can to make a sacrifice. After doing so, and giving her blood to the pack members, they'll recieve full werewolf advantage. Shifting when they please."
I nodded. A sacrifice?
"To who do they sacrifice?" I asked.
"How the hell should I know?" She asked. I groaned.
"Thank you. I'll see to it your freed." I told her. She nodded.
"Make sure you do." And with that, she turned, and leaned against the wall. I had to tell someone. I had to let Connor know! Blood Moon is real. And I was betting my life that was who had our Alpha and Luna.

Raven's POV***
I stared at myself in the mirror, my veil behind my curled hair, and the white, red, and black wedding dress filling me up. It was tight, fitted and went to the floort. The dress had strange patterns. The ribbon wrapping around my waste was blood red, and the bottom of the dress had printed black feathers on the bottom. I gulped, holding in my tears.
I imagined myself to be in a much different dress, saving myself for Tyler. Walking down the aisle for him. Everyone clapping, happy that we were making everything official.
Instead, reality punched me in the gut, and now I was here.
"You look beautiful Miss," The little maid told me. I didn't move. Just stared at myself in the mirror. I had no choice in doing this. I had no choice. I was getting married to Tyler's brother.
"Where's the- ahh, you look great sister. The perfect bride." Brent said with a clap. I couldn't find it in me to get out a comment or retort. I just held the boquet in my hand, ignoring the outside world.
I turned as Preston walked into the room, Damon following suit. My eyes narrowed at the two in disgust.
"It's time." Tyler's father announced. Brent nodded with a grin. Damon stared at me, before his eyes landed on the carpet in shame. Good. I hope he felt horrible.
"Raven, dear, I can hear the bells ringing now. It's time for your marriage!" Brent said, exiting the room. I gulped, stepping off the pedastol, and slowly walking past Damon and Preston.
"Raven," Damon grabbed my arm. I didn't look back at him. Just stopped in my steps.
"I'm so sorry," He muttered. I ripped my wrist out of his grasp, slowly leaving him behind.
I wanted no part of him near me. i walked out of the door, leaving them behind.
Brent hastily grabbed my arm in his, walking through the doors.
"You really should smile, it's your big day," He encouraged with a smile. I said nothing as we came to two large doors. I took a deep breath, hearing the depressing sound of an Oregon playing the wedding tunes.
He outstretched his free arm that wasn't looped around mine, and pushed it open.
At least 400 pairs of eyes turned to stare at me and Brent. I never got the chance to see how many pack members Blood Moon really had. They easily outnumbered Oakwood Forest pack.
The room was filled with people from this pack, each staring at me with a strange hunger that irked me.
Brent took the first step into the long walkway, bringing me with him. At the end of the walkway was Damon and Preston in suits, both awaiting me. But what was behind them.
I stopped walking causing Brent to turn and grin sadisticly at me. My hand covered my mouth as I held in a scream.
Tyler was chained to the wall behind Damon and his father, his eyes never leaving me although his head hung low.
At first I began running to him, but my brother stopped me before I could get far.
"Ah ah, do you want Oakwood Forest pack's blood on your hands? We wouldn't want you to return to Red Wine now would we?" He whispered in my ear.
I dropped my head as we began walking. I had to get out of this. But how? Before I knew it, I was standing in front of Damon, Tyler behind us.
My eyes never left Tyler, but the hand of my brother grasping my mouth made me turn as he whipped my head towards Damon.
Brent left my side before walking down the steps.
"Welcome, members of Blood Moon. Today we gather under the night before the full moon to complete the ritual of the Queen's Night!" He announced.
Queens Night? Now this was something new. What was this all about? And why did I have a horrible feeling about it?
The crowd roared in applause and cheers at my brothers words.
"As my sister, and the rightful Queen of Blood Moon, gives herself to the Gods after tonight's matrimony and coronation, we will all be set free before the moon rises itself to the sky!" Everyone stood up, cheering and clapping. Many fist pumped.
Give myself to the Gods? What the hell?
Brent walked over to me and Damon - who's eyes never left the ground. My eyes glanced at Tyler's limp form. It was obvious he was fighting the brim of being unconscious. A sharp pain in my heart sent my wolf pining. I forced my eyes away, knowing if I stared for too long my pain would increase.
Brent wrapped a red ribbon around my wrist, then around Damon. I began to feel pressure in my head. I groaned as I gasped it.
Where did that come from? It slowly subsided as Preston held out a huge golden chalice with a dagger sitting inside. Wait, that dagger...
"Look familiar?" Preston cooed behind Damon who merely stared at it in confusion.
"You poisoned me..." I whispered.
"Oh well I had to. I couldn't let you complete the bond with the pack. They'd try to mind link and find you or Tyler," He said as he cast a glance at his son, chained to the wall and barely breathing.
Before I knew what was happening, the knife glided across my wrist. I jumped back in pain as Brent grabbed my hand, allowing my blood to drop onto the large golden cup. My blood quickly began to fill the large chalice.
Another blast of dull pain hit my head and it took all I had not to not double over.
As more of my blood left me, I felt myself growing tired and weak.
"It's working!" someone called from the crowd. Many gasped and began to murmur amongst themselves. I was getting dizzy and lightheaded. The chalice filled up full, and keeping my eyes open was becoming a much harder task.
The sharp sound of glass shattering caught my attention, although I was nearly close to passing out due to blood loss. My senses were dull, my vision blurry, and ears nearly clogged. The sound of shouts and screams barely made it through to me. I cast a glance up to see wolves all around, and many in human form, fighting.
I dropped to the ground, looking behind me, head pounding. Tyler was no longer in chains. In fact I couldn't make out where he was. I tried to get up and crawl, but sleep wanted me. I barely noticed there was an all out fight in the room.
"Luna!" Someone called in a blurry voice. I looked up to see a girl with brown hair. Though my vision was blurry, and it was hard to make sense of anything, I knew it was Dylan. Her scent hit me hard. It seemed like I was underwater. I couldn't make out sounds or people.
My eyes closed, and there was a hand on me, lifting me up. But I closed them again.
"Wake . . get us out of here! . . . they have . . . ritual . . completion . . . Listen to her?" I heard just barely as my eyes opened. Dylan looked down at me, but I my eyes drooped with heaviness.
I heard them calling me. But I couldn't do it. I couldn't stay awake.
